Reviews
The hotel has a beautiful lobby and bar area, but the general layout and parking are poor. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness are inconsistent. The rooms and facilities vary greatly in quality, with some guests praising them and others finding them subpar.
- Beautiful lobby and bar area
- Starbucks on premises
- Poor general layout and parking

We had a terrible experience at the Ricardo Marriott. My fiance booked 2 nights and I booked 1 night due to us both having expiring night credits. When we checked in, we told them this, and apparently rather than checking into my room booked for Thursday, they checked into his Friday-Sunday room on Thursday. They then cancelled mine as a “no show” and moved his check out date to Saturday. We had to argue extensively with the front desk on this the following day. The toilets were also broken down and a small amount of toilet paper would require 3-4 times flushing. The pool was very loud at our room as well - however this wasn’t a “pool party” going on, but just 3-4 total people chatting at normal volumes. The walls are simply so thin that this normal level of noise felt very loud in our room

This is a luxurious and exquisite hotel. The location is secluded and adjacent to an upscale community. I loved the area and being away from general society. Not too far away from stores and restaurants.
- 4/5
Food was good and room was clean
- 5/5
The hotel is very large. It is very pretty. The bar is beautiful. The restaurant's beautiful prices for food and drinks are a bit high.
- 5/5
The only complaints I have are that they didn't have a record that I had pre-paid for the breakfast for 1, and had to show them my Hotels.com invoice to prove that it should be included. The only other issue was that there shower does would just slide back opening there shower to the rest of the bathroom. This meant that anything you had on the counter would get wetter from the rebound spray of the shower. The valet service was too notch! They were always on point, curtious and helpful. The Steakhouse has a wonderful Spanish flare, and is not too be missed. I would recommend this property, and we would stay here again if the occasion arose.
- 5/5
overall great hotel and would stay here every stay
- 4/5
The staff were friendly. Room was clean and cleaned everyday as long as you request it. The breakfast buffet was good for $18 per person. Ordering drinks and food between 4pm and 6pm is rather slow. If you’re in a hurry, expect to wait. Self-parking is available but area by entrance was a dirty. Trash cans were overly full. Needs more attention.
- 5/5
Breakfast is charged extra not included. Room and bathroom were fine and the pool was great so was to staff
- 3/5
The front desk did not provide a swimming towel. When I called, they said it was on its way, so I went to get it myself. They then said they would bring it to me, but after more than 30 minutes, no one appeared. My son's clothes are soaked, and he is in the room changing.
- 4/5
Very clean and beautiful hotel. I did receive an additional charge for $25 after check out that I was not informed of however.
- 3/5
The hotel is very nice and new. We had good service checking in. However, there was 2 clumps of hair in the bathroom and one random sock in the room that definitely had me questioning the cleanliness of everything.
- 5/5
Parking could be bettet
- 5/5
On the other hand, my black socks were covered in white or gray dog hair after I walked around in our room (#526) and we had no hair conditioner in the shower. Probably the biggest disappointment was the swimming pool which was green and needed to be treated. We have visited many times and will continue to do so but we wanted to give an honest assessment.

- 2.5/5
The front desk staff at check in was not courteous. Very curt. He did not explain hotel amenities or directions on how to get to underground parking until asked. The bathroom in one bedroom had dried urine stains all over the seat. Parking charge per day

Superb
- 5/5
Loved the balcony.
- 5/5
Breakfast portions were large and the service was wonderful!
- 5/5
I was very surprised that it was so quiet and peaceful with a lot of nearby restaurants and things to do
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean, elegant hotel. Valet team was great, Toro restaurant was the best steak we’ve had. We stayed here for a kicking camp our son attended at Argyle high school which was only 15mins away. We loved our stay here!
- 4/5
The property was clean and very nice. Good amenities in the area. Great location. However, our room was not done the first day we were there. Not sure if they had sufficient staff. Other than that. Great stay!
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and helppful!
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Room was outstanding, everything was clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze
- 5/5
The only comment I have is to paint the steel ballards in the parking area a different color the then the pavers.
- 3/5
The Ac was fine but the controls were a bit confusing. It was chilly while there and the heater was difficult to turn on. Didnt eat breakfast.
- 4/5
Great room and fun hotel
- 5/5
The room we stayed in was perfect the balcony felt nice and secluded.
- 5/5
This hotel is absolutely BEAUTIFUL with the new upgrades and renovations. I felt like I was at Kim Kardashians house. Seriously. It is very chic and has California vibes. Rooms were amazing, price was fantastic for the night that we paid the amenities are next level. WILL only stay here.
- 5/5
appeared to be recently updated, interior lobby and rooms were clean and well thought out. It was rainy but saw the amzing pool area from our room. Our stay was quite we both loved the pillows!!
- 5/5
The newly renovated space was so accomodating. If I had an issue, they quickly resolved.
- 5/5
Phenomenal staff! Pleasant, courteous and helpful. Clean, quiet rooms. I know it sounds silly but I loved that I could control the thermostat. There are renovations going on currently but none of that was a problem..no disruptive noises or inconveniences at all. Restaurant had a small menu but everything I tried was delicious. There’s a coffee shop in the hotel and the barista was lovely and friendly and my coffee was wonderful. I was well taken care of. I will definitely book again at this specific hotel.

Remodeling taking place but not great
- 5/5
Amazing! Great weekend getaway and so quiet!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Room was great and the staff were very nice!
- 5/5
The property is undergoing an extensive renovation. We were able to take advantage of one of the renovated rooms. It was extremely nice. Bathroom is on the small size but very nice. The desk and couch areas were excellent. Comfortable bed and pillows. All in all we were very pleased and the rate was a bargain and reflects the nuisance of the construction around you.
- 2/5
Hotel is under construction, lock on door kept getting stuck in locked position. Was awaken by cleaning staff at 8:45 who were talking very loud in hall way outside of room.
- 3/5
Under construction
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff
- 5/5
Staff polite and welcoming
- 1/5
Very frustrating
- 5/5
Repeat customer. Room and front desk are always great. Smart TV never works, always hard to navigate TV channels, adjust volume
- 3/5
Hotel was okay. Lots of open, dead space and rooms are far from the front desk of the hotel. They were undergoing construction so many eye sores (elevators, hallways). Staff was very nice. Only stayed for a short time for a wedding so it was sufficient for what we needed.
- 5/5
The place is very elegant. It's in a great location. The staff was wonderful. The rooms are very nice.
- 4/5
Good stay
- 4/5
Everything was well accommodating and we enjoyed the overall stay. The restroom was my only ick, (we stayed in 227), there was a thick layer of dust in the shower and on/around the toilet. The towels smelled weird but I had brought our own anyways. My 4 year old son has an immunity deficiency and gets sick easily so cleanliness is a big one for me. I always bring some small cleaning stuff with me and disinfectant so I cleaned it up myself first before use. Other than that, my boys LOVED the bouncy bed. I’d love to know where you get your comforters!
- 5/5
Staff is stuffy
- 5/5
This location is convenient to commute to my company.
- 4/5
FYI - I could not find it listed on the Marriott Bonvoy website.
- 5/5
LOVE
- 3/5
Hotel was too old for the price . lack of coordination between Marriott and Hotel.com on room charges. Next time I’ll deal directly with Marriott when booking my reservation
- 4/5
Valet only parking not free
- 4/5
Having to move rooms because the bed didn’t have the correct sheets on it. I had to move after I was unpacked and ready for bed . It was close to midnight. For a 4 star hotel that is unacceptable
- 1/5
The property was under renovation, but I was not given any notice in advance. Mildew smell, cracked bathroom tiles, blood stain on the carpet, mattress was a dromedary, billed an extra $20/night for valet parking without notice, no room cleaning nor fresh towels until the night before my departure. Staff was very kind, but the stay was a train-wreck.
- 3/5
The property was under construction.
- 2.5/5
Hotel is under renovation construction. The noise was not a concern, just an eyesore. Also, self-parking was not an option though there were plenty of spaces beside the hotel.
- 4/5
We stayed for 3 days, rwo nights. The hotel is in the middle of renovations. We did not have a renovated room so it had a little wear and rear but was.clean. service was.excellenr. The pool was.nice but there qas some mold.near the bottom on the walls and some leaves. The robot cleaner was stull at work at 7 am.
- 0.5/5
The location was convenient. The hotel is being renovated and this isn’t advised. I sleep until 10 but it starts at 8am and was on my floor or right below as you can see the trucks in my photo. Additionally, there is tons of parking here with a garage, but a forced valet you have to use is on the side of the hotel. It’s a huge hassle to have this in the burbs when you need in and out of the car. It’s also an additional expense. They enforce it via a rude rent a cop who advises you that it’s private property and you can’t park anywhere. My room was dated with a hair on one bed. Finally, I was double charged and customer service is of no help. All around it was a disaster. Update the rooms and keep them clean. Be upfront about construction. Own up to and correct mistakes. Stop the forced valet in the burbs.
- 4/5
Would had been nice to have a notice that there was construction taking place and i had no vhouce but to use the valet.

Midnight and making noise
- 3/5
Won’t stay there again
- 1/5
Building has not been updated from the 90s. Booked a room for our wedding night and had to go home.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice but the construction was a mess. It was hard to figure out where to park or even how to get out of the parking lot.
- 2/5
Only reason it’s not a 1 is because the door and valet men are very nice and professional as well as the front desk- you guys find another place to work, this place is a sinking ship.
- 4.5/5
Under construction and there were no ice machines etc The valet required parking not indicated and was a newer feature. I have stayed here before and the valet parking was not required.

- 3/5
Bed was very uncomfortable, shower didn’t work properly, floors were very dirty and there was visible mold and water damage near the room door. Construction workers set off the fire alarms and the staff never came out to tell the guests if it was safe to return back inside. We missed our morning commitments due to the fire alarm making us delay. They state that it is valet-only parking, but the valet service attendant smelled absolutely awful and made our car smell terrible for the whole day. Nobody seems to know who is in charge. The friendliest and most helpful people were the cleaning staff. Luckily they comped our valet charges, but the whole stay was definitely not worth it. I’m sure it will be nicer after the remodel, but right now it is a disaster.

Was told parking was included in my total cost at checkout, only to be charged 21 dollars the next day, Took about 15 minutes for water to warm up enough to even get in the shower. Very dark outside in the early morning. Extremely outdated
- 3/5
This hotel was under construction and renovations. No front desk, crowded, there was a conference going on right where the lobby area was. The rooms are older, garage is spooky and small.
- 2/5
Cold showers, ants, unsafe, dirty, poor services , never stay here far better places nearby even if their remodel works which is doubtful
- 2.5/5
No a/c for most of stay. Remodeling construction ? going on. Check in location due to construction was confusing.
- 2.5/5
Clean. Friendly staff. Nice bar/restaurant area. No a/c for most of stay. Remodeling construction going on. Check in location due to construction was confusing.
- 1/5
This place has no business being open. Rooms are old and dirty.. Property under construction and nothing available.. We left this property in books somewhere else. It was that bad!
- 1/5
This property was under major reconstruction. There was nothing clean around the place refrigerator didn’t work air conditioner. Quit working the area around the hotel is rundown. The staff at the hotel are extremely nice. Not their fault but the property is in terrible condition.
- 2/5
Property is under construction/remodel and was not disclosed. They gave us the wrong room, but did give us the correct room later so we had to play musical chairs. The room looked nothing like the pictures. Room service was poor, the food was terrible and cost almost half the price of the room. Guess they have to get money for that remodel some how. Getting to the room was a challenge through the construction.
- 5/5
Great room.
- 4/5
Parking is not convenient. There is a charge for parking as well
- 4/5
Very nice. 1st room heat wasnt working and they were so fast with sending someone. They quickly were able to move us rooms and it was seemless.
- 5/5
Everything was great, limited parking
- 3/5
Airport service was advertised but not available
- 5/5
Beautiful lobby and restaurant. Very friendly staff and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Clean and newly remodeled
- 5/5
Stayed here for a work trip and will be my go to when i'm in town!
- 3/5
Breakfast not included with room. Shower didn’t drain properly leaving shin high water. Paid parking $10 per night. Things that should be included with the stay are an extra add on.
- 3/5
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about my stay. The young man who checked me in was superb and exactly what I expected from Marriott. This was a staycation, but I was not familiar with the area. I only had one issue and that was with room service, food, and charges. The receipt I received including tax and delivery fee was different than the receipt presented upon delivery, a Cesar salad and lukewarm flatbread FOOD WAS NOT WORTH $50(tip included). I spoke with Josh & Evelyn via text about the issue and was prepared for no action. Evelyn offered a complimentary breakfast card never received and upon checkout there was no mention of it, which again I was not surprised. Overall, this property accomplished what I needed for the weekend, but rooms could use a little TLC as the towels were very rough and needed replacing, the sheets needed serious replacement as well as other cosmetics issues needed addressing. Would I stay here again probably not but will continue to stay at Marriott properties.
- 2/5
I was highly disappointed with my stay. Isaiah and the young lady from room service were friendly and provided good service. However, when I arrived in my room it as very dated and opposite of the impression from the pictures online and the gorgeous lobby area. The next morning when I got up to check out, I pull the shower curtain back and notice there was water in the tub. And after getting dressed to check out, I called the front desk to ask if someone could help me carry my luggage downstairs. I was told they don't do that. I asked can someone just bring me a luggage cart, the woman who answered the phone said we don't typically do that. I will never stay here again. The only reason I gave them two stars was because of the area it was in and staff I mentioned earlier.
- 4/5
Great hotel. Stayed for pool. Pool closed for a situation and never reopened during the hottest week of summer in texas. 106 average. Big let down. Hotel is clean and attentive. Rooms are small and beds are very uncomfortable, so are the pillows. Overall a 4 star experience since it was clean and people were nice
- 5/5
It was nice but the ac didn’t cool very well. Other than that it was nice. We would stay again
- 4/5
We needed more space for our toiletries.Double bed was little small.
- 2/5
It needs to be renovated
- 1/5
Staff was unfriendly, and of no help at all!
- 5/5
Everything was very good at this hotel, felt very safe, nice and quiet and all of the facilities and the room were top notch, nothing to complain about.
- 1/5
Starbucks was closed. Hair dryer was sticky and gross. Hotel was very cold. Ubers had trouble getting to the hotel lobby.
- 3/5
Bug in my bathroom. Need to remove all alarm clocks from rooms. Clean carpets.
- 4/5
If the mattresses could be a little softer that would make a huge difference.
- 1/5
As we asked closer to our assigned room we encountered wall paper falling off the wall and carpet missing with a larg construction paper covering a huge area, I nearly slipped. As we neared the room (438) a smell began to creep up and we noticed exposed pipes. It smelled very bad.We were given a room smelled really bad, like sewage I took video and pictures. I could not believe my eyes. I just wanted to leave. We were planning a longer stay but decided not to book here for the rest of the weekend.
