Inexperienced check in person along with the elevator button being out. Also, there was a hair in the shower.

The room was spotless!

Check-in and check-out were smooth. I was confused about breakfast; staff made it sound like it was included but that was not the case. Property was clean, both the room and shared spaces. There was a sign to notify staff for elevator use going up. They were always present and timely about opening the elevator doors.

Breakfast experience was horrible. One of the employee was out of control and started shouting to the customers. There was lot of confusion, luckily other employees jumped in and tried to control the situation. But needs lot of improvement to give positive and best experience to the customers.

Elevator call button was broken and a bell had to be rung everytime we needed to go up to our room for staff to run and push some “secret” call button. We were told it’s been weeks, if not months, like this. I was there for business and the computer and printer were gone/broken. It did not list this when I booked and I was told by staff it has not worked in over a year of their employment there. Ridiculous! I had to drive around town to print work documents I needed. The trash outside the entrance was overflowing all over the ground. I would not stay here again. Plenty of better maintained hotels right down the road.

Loved the stayed, family with kids only there for the night, very clean hotel and rooms. LOVED the breakfast, not free but very reasonsbly priced. Loved the bar not many hotels have bars anymore.

Room was comfy. Bed comfy. Good facilities though we did not get to use. Washer and dryer so convenient. Very friendly staff. Broken elevator was a pain.

The staff was nice

The elevators weren't functioning properly. You had to literally ring a bell hoisted on a "wet floor" sign to have someone from the front desk leave their post run to the elevators, go into an adjacent room to activate the elevators. Very inconvenient and crazy. Need repair immediately.

location was good and the room was nice. The one working elevator broke after breakfast when we were ready to check out and needed to go. It took over 30 minutes to reboot and people were stuck on there and no one knew it. Sad we had to pay for breakfast when most hotels offer the same continental breakfast for free.

The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet.

Perfect play to stay if you travel to Galveston for a cruise. 5 mins away you find restaurants or shops.

Only issue was the elevator was in rough running conditions! After my son and I got off it was still attempting to go down!

The location and the breakfast was great. The Customer Service was very polite and greeted us with a genuine smile. There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Only complaint I have is the water pressure in shower was poor and the water not hot enough…and I don’t care for the barn door for the bathroom

Great hotel and great location in clear lake Texas. Close to a bunch of restaurants and malls. Room was clean and comfortable. Pillows and bed were great. The shower water pressure was the only bad thing , other than that 9.5/10 hotel. Will stay again there for sure next time I’m in clear lake

We spent 4 nights here and had a great time. We used the pool which was clean and the gym. The only disappointment was that continental breakfast was not free but available.

The property was clean, the staff was friendly. My wife didn't have the breakfast, there was no bacon. She loves bacon. But overall our experience was great.

Pros: -really great location. Many food options nearby as well as shopping. -Easy check in / check out via the Hilton app. -Clean lobby. clean room. Clean bathroom. - hotel has a gym Cons: - the mattress was awful. It’s 2026 and our room still had just a basic spring mattress. - sheets for said awful mattress were too small. The mattress has height to it despite it being just spring and these sheets are clearly for smaller heights. I might even go as far as saying they put full sheets on the queen bed. The sheets popped off constantly. - the bar. It’s a limited menu to begin with but went to order my husband and myself a drink only to be informed they were out of two major components of each drink. - the outdoor speakers by the pool. This was fixed but the first night, I guess whenever is supposed to turn the outdoor speakers off forgot. Well unlucky for us our room was right by a speaker and it was LOUD all night. The next two nights of our stay it was off but it was so annoying that first night it needed to be listed. - the pool. While we didn’t swim. The pool is SMALL. Could be renovated to be a bit nicer / bigger. Overall, an okay hotel. But not for the price. Could have stayed somewhere that was a bit cheaper and had a comfier stay.

Everything was great! The only negative was that every time the heat/air came on, the room smelled a little. It didn’t dissipate after it had been running for a while. I wouldn’t call it awful, but definitely not fresh.

Room was spotless. Only complaint was lack of food in refrigerated area of snack shop. The explanation given were there are not enough people staying here to care about it. Well we are staying here and needed some food. I guess you should discount your rates if the hotel is too empty. No one seemed to care.

Website description is out of date - no hot tub, paid 12 for Continental but due to low occupancy no continental breakfast was served, was given a voucher , limited.

My wife decided to stay in the area the night before our cruise and picked this place based on location and price. The property, facilities and room were very clean and the staff were very polite and professional. We didn’t do breakfast at the hotel so I can’t comment on how good or bad it is. The room was very spacious and easy to move around in. The only issue we had was the coffee maker in our room didn’t work. I just went down stairs and got coffee from the lobby. The house coffee isn’t the best, but it ain’t bad. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and will definitely stay here if in this area again.

We just stayed here for the night and the staff was very friendly. The room was clean and roomy. My only complaints were the water pressure was low and the elevator shook when we got to our floor. Scary!

Great place to stay!

Get front desk on phone. Had to reset TV. Then we killed a ROACH in our room that I took a pic of. Toilet wouldn’t flush most of the time, had to wait 10-15mins after you used it to get it to flush. Asst. Manager was no help in the matters either. Worst hotel I have stayed at in a very very long time.

The hotel accommodations were great. The room was extremely clean and had everything I needed. I would choose to stay here again if I am back in the area!

Some areas on the second floor hallway and in my room (209) were uneven and could be considered a fall hazard.

My room had ants in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder came off from the screw so I just put it in the counter. The light above the microwave and coffee bar did not come on, I wasn't sure where the switch was.

The guest service person at the front desk messed up my reservation and I had to pay again for a room that was already paid for.

We always enjoy staying at the Hilton Garden Inns. This particular trip gave us a few unexpected adventures. Twice we got stuck in one of the elevators, which I seriously hope they get fixed soon. Otherwise the majority of the staff were friendly and quite helpful . There was a young lady who was more focused on her phone than she was to anyone. The waitstaff were great, efficient and friendly. Once again on a Sunday morning there was a woman who was working as the waitstaff that was late to start and complained about everything. She was setting up all the fruit and muffin area and never put out any coffee until after 7:30 am. It opens at 7 am. We saw a lot of people leaving because they couldn’t even get a cup of coffee.

Great place to stay the night before a cruise out of Galveston. Your not paying the high prices on the island but you are close enough to get to cruise parking the day of.
