The roaches were the only issue. I did a review warning others to not stay there. Not sure if anything was ever refunded this was a month ago. If a refund is possible I'd love to have it.

Sorry but AC very loud. We have big room with small kitchen but bed close to AC mostly middle the night little scary ♀️

Great location close to the hospital.

Amazing staff . Rooms are nice and clean
- 2/5
This hotel was bland at best. I won’t stay here again. The pictures looked great when choosing a place to stay. First, I couldn’t figure out right away where to pull up to check in. It was in an awkward position. The room was so humid when we got in, the bedsheets felt like they were wet. The internet was crummy to where we couldn’t use our firestick. In the morning when I really wanted some coffee, the machine wouldn’t work. It was cheap, so I thought I was getting a good deal. You get what you pay for.
- 4/5
The room very clean, people were very nice, easy check in. The AC unit was very noisy.

Location to hospital No luggage racks
- 0.5/5
Location was convenient Cleanliness and overall quality were horrible. First room I was placed in smelled like someone had smoked cigarettes in it for years. The second room they tried to accommodate me with felt like there was moisture living in the walls and the shower floor looked like it had never been cleaned. I turned my key back within 10 minutes of being there. They never checked me out from my stay and they refuse to offer a refund when I was not a guest of the hotel.

Room was not cleaned beforehand. Floor was not mopped. Trash had not been collected. Bottle holder in shower was coming off the wall and AC unit was coming apart and so loud that I turned it off and only slept with the fan on which was not good
- 3/5
Night shift front desk was friendly. I delt with her, as I was an 8pm check in. The bathroom/shower was dirty but bed and floor in main room clean. Pool area was maintained and the pool was clean.
- 3/5
Staff was great. Very helpful. Room was fine. Was a non-smoking room and it had definitely been smoked in.
- 2/5
Great location. Pet friendly. Friendly staff. Staircase easy accessible. There’s one elevator for four floors. Took elevator going up and used staircase to go back down. The room was not clean. The floors throughout the whole room needed a thorough cleaning, the shower still had residue from previous stay. There was a stench of mildew. The restroom fan had water droplets around it. Had to leave the fan running all day and night. The recliner would not fold back down. The mattress was super hard and some of the pillow cases had stains on it. Water pressure was a little weak.

The room could use a good sweeping. Otherwise the hotel was great. The staff were wonderful.

I did not make it for breakfast. I did not like the cleanliness of the hotel my room unfortunately smelled like cigarette smoke. I left out to go and get cleaning supplies to sanitize my room more. The floors were still sticky. There was hair left in the bathroom shower.

I was surprised by the amenities in my room like a extended stay hotel I definitely recommend

Very clean room. Staff was excellent. They did everything to make your stay pleasant. We stay there every time we go to the Houston area.😊

The good thing about pets is that they allow pets in the room and do not charge an extra fee! That's very positive, however, I checked a place we stayed two weeks earlier in the same area that charges a #$35/night pet fee, but even after adding the pet fee, the total charge was about $10 a night cheaper/night at the other place. Each room here includes a 2-burner cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher, so if that's what you're looking for, it's worth the extra price. We just sleep there, so we're looking for the best price, and this wasn't it. Both hotels were about the same. The room was fine; one lightbulb was burned out. I took it to the front desk, who said maintenance would replace it in the morning? There was no ice bucket in the room. Small things, but it is what it is.
- 5/5
Stayed one night and it was great! In the heat of July our room went down to 60 degrees!
- 4/5
I loved the space of the room from the one king bed!

I don’t like writing negative reviews but felt my experience needed to be shared. I booked 4 nights through hotels.com at this candlewood suites for a conference. My fault I didn’t really research it better. The front office staff was incredible helpful and I appreciate them trying. This hotel is tired and things are worn out. It’s also very secluded and people are staying there long term so it didn’t feel totally safe. The back door not far from my room was being propped open to allow people access without a key. I removed the rock twice and closed the door only to see it open later. This after I’d already killed two small roaches in my room. The staff understood my concern and moved me to another room away from the door issue. The second room smelled faintly of vape smoke and the fire sensors had been disabled and were lying on the table. There was water condensation collecting on the ceiling in my bathroom which dripped on my head while I got ready for a banquet. The ice maker in the room refrigerator was broken. They had to turn the water off during the day for a “water emergency” on the 1st floor. After one night I checked out. I tried to get moved to a sister property but booking through hotels.com made that impossible. The hotel refused to give me any money back for the 3 nights I didn’t stay and hotels.com gave me a $50 credit. Aside from the nice bed linens (that you find at their nicer sister hotels) and the front office staff, I can’t say too many positive thing

After arriving late in the night, the beds were in poor condition, room was old and musty smelling. The next morning we discovered that there were bed bugs in the 2nd queen bed. We immediately back up our bags and went to discuss the issue with the front desk and demanded a refund. Still have yet to see said refund for either the first night or the second night which we did not stay. We found accommodations elsewhere

Terrible place. Dirty. Nothing works.

The room was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. I did not even stay one night after paying for three I have requested a refund from Expedia and the hotel.

- 3/5
The value was excellent for the price. The room had a musty odor. The AC took some time to activate. The staff was outstanding.

Pool not being clean
- 3/5
Room 2 was ok - hair all over the place Bathroom goodies offered weren't sealed and had already been half used Certian outlets didn't work Certain doors didn't work even with room to enter the building Overall needed the room because my brothers baby was in the NICU Only took a couple pics but will upload what I have now
- 4/5
Room was really spacious. Kitchenette portion was really handy and convenient.
- 5/5
Unique room. Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. Tucked away from traffic. Very affordable.
- 3/5
Staff explained that door locks are in process of being changed, but mine was not. Still I had to return to desk 3 different times to have my card reloaded so I could unlock the door. Then the card to the back entrance worked fine first time, but a couple of hours later, it failed & had to walk around the hotel to have the card reprogrammed as well. I never saw them change one lock. Maybe when they get the locks changed, then the cards will work properly, but it was a major inconvenience during this stay. They also have a "pantry" set up with all kinds of snacks, candy, and cold drinks, right off the lobby. There is no information on the pantry. Is everything for free? I doubt it. No signs and nobody anywhere around to tell you what to do. Very confusing, so I just went hungry. And the TV: Each time you turn it off, when you turn it back on, it takes a good 5 minutes to "reload" the channels available. There is a guide is a joke -doesn't work. The price was great, the staff friendly, and the room clean, but these other problems made me drop the rating to a "3". There is no breakfast served, but coffee packs and maker are in each room.
- 2/5
The room was OK at a bare minimum. The bedside had no electrical outlets at all on one side of the bed so if two people are in the bed that gives you no ability to utilize anything electronic on one side of the bed. There were no shelves in the shower at all to put any toiletries on. The deadbolt on the door did not work and was an extreme security issue. None of the locks on the exterior doors appeared to work so that if you walked out, you were not able to get back in even with your card key. One of the doors was even propped open with a rock.
- 3/5
The hotel is ok and in a pretty good location. The halls were dirty, but the room appeared to be clean. It was alright for one night.

Hotel is good location. Many restaurants in the area.
- 3/5
No ice machine, bathroom door would not close, no blackout shade, and microwave did not work. Bed and pillows were nice.
- 5/5
Always a nice place to go to. Clean respectful staff convenient.
- 1/5
There were roaches in the room. The keys were not working because the batteries were dead in the door lock. I was lock out of my room for 2 hours because there was maintenance on site. The ladies at the front desk had to pry open the door with a crowbar. Was going to change rooms but the maid service was not there to clean another room. Finally got frustrated and checked out.
- 5/5
Everything was beautiful and clean and welcoming. I would stay here every time I come to Texas. The front desk gentleman was very kind to me after I had been driving most of the night and needed rest.
- 5/5
Awesome stay
- 2/5
The bed was fairly comfortable, and the pillows were nice. The evening and weekend staff were very friendly. The hotel isn’t close enough to anything to walk to. (not their fault, just providing information.). Needless to say, we won’t go back. We will spend the extra money on a nicer place, and one within walking distance to a convenience store.
- 2/5
Make sure you ask about checking in early fees. I checked in early and without notice I was charged from my deposit an early check in fee.
- 5/5
The staff were nice. It was clean. The hotel was not worth what we paid, especially with no complimentary breakfast. Also, the price of a cheeseburger and fries in the restaurant was ridiculously high. There was nothing special about this hotel to make it so high. Parking is an issue. The rodeo was in town so all the hotels had raised their prices. We were not there for the rodeo. We were there for an appointment with MD Anderson. The hotel did not have MDA rates. If we have to go back to MDA in Houston, we will find a different hotel. We had to make this reservation at the last minute. We didn't have enough towels and had to call twice to get extra towels. We were there for 2 nights and only had 2 towels and 2 rags. Our key cards didn't work when we got to our room.
- 1/5
Horrible experience, roaches in the room. They came out from under the microwave and in the bathroom and on the beds. Do NOT stay here
- 1/5
Dirty kitchen broken window very muggy and humid and when asked for a spoon for the milk and cereal we bought in lobby they said they were out. People leave the door to get in the hotel open with a rock the whole time we were there. Do not recommend. The pictures were nothing like the room we opted for.

Very good

Staff was kind and professional. Lonby snelld
- 3/5
Check in staff was nice, room was not very clean. Had stains on the head board, fridge was dirty with a dead roach on the top of it. The place needs some love.

Clean foom

We had roaches in our room and the hotel didn’t want to accommodate at all
- 5/5
Room was cozy and clean. Staff was very friendly
- 1/5
I had mentioned that there was a leaking ceiling from the room above. Why I was taking a shower? Water was coming through the ceiling of the fifth floor. It was terrible and the room just felt so damp from all the water and moisture
- 2/5
No hot water in the shower, had to run to my car at 2 am and my key card would not work, had to wait 30 min for the front desk lady to wake up from her nap to fix my card
- 4/5
Clean room and friendly staff. It would help to have a sign to point to the front desk. Wasn’t too thrilled to see ceiling panels removed from our hallway. Also the faucet in our room was loose along with the toilet seat. Otherwise it was ok nothing really strode out.to make up want to come back.
- 3/5
Noisy neighbors stomping around all hours of the night, so lack of sleep due to that. Pillows flatter than paper. Shower was the best feature hands down. Bunch of people hanging around the pool smoking at the entrance, couple wannabe thugs smoking and mean mugging all the customers entering and leaving the hotel. Overall, Super8 can get you the same for alot cheaper, even Motel6.
- 1/5
Hotel has not been maintained properly.
- 2/5
TV Cable was broken and there was a cockroach in our room.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room.
- 1/5
The highlight of the trip was the front desk and how friendly they were
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms and full kitchenette made our two night stay pleasant along with a full pantry of food to purchase to cook in room which kept us from going out for dinner as we arrived late.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, great staff

Humidifiers all over the hall ways. 90 dollar room and the tv didn't even work.
- 5/5
Great hotel

I tried contacting this propertY over two months in advance about an early check in, emailed through Expedia and called repeatedly to no answer. On arrival which was Christmas morning they had given our suite away to someone else the night before due to an emergency and they had to have a kind bed,and we were down graded with no compensation or apology even though our room we reserved was more expensive. The room they put us in had a king bed anyway.. They didn’t have cleaners available on Christmas Day so we were supposed to get our suite at 11am the following day. On the 26th at 11am I went to the front desk manager again no apology informs me room isn’t ready says she will call me. I ask for compensation at this point and she says she will see what she can do. I go to my room and our keys have been turned off for the downgraded room because it’s check out time. Go back to manager again nothing silence hands me new keys. At 4pm I go back downstairs since the manager never called me, still nothing apology wise but finally we get to our correct room. It’s fine nothing great. Kinda dirty, definitely run down. Couch smelled of weed very strongly. Bed wasn’t awful but not great either. Cable constantly lost signal air conditioning unit made awful sounds. Neighbors had a crying baby the entire time(not hotels fault.) we also were put in the ADH unit and the shower floods the bathroom and the seat is falling out of the wall.

Room couldn’t be serviced. Roaches in kitchen. My wife had to clean the bathroom when we checked in it was filthy. Broken window. Found out after check in pool was closed. Practically had to beg for extra towels. Side entrance door is broken. Worse vacation experience ever.
- 5/5
Yes very nice, clean rooms
- 5/5
Easy access, good parking lot for a large pickup truck, rooms were clean and updated. The kitchen area was well stocked for simple weekend use.
- 1/5
There was roaches I'm scared to take my suitcases home with little friends attached
- 1/5
They has roaches in the room it was very unpleasant!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Strange smell from bathroom, had to leave vent running. Bed/Mattress: awesome. Shower water pressure: worth the stay.
- 1/5
Awful place I was given a room key when I checked in and I get to my room and there was people already occupying it and I just walked right in on them scaring them and I was shocked! So I went back to the front desk and the lady tells me I have two options after she calls her manager and says either I get a refund or she goes and cleans a dirty room and gets it ready for me. No accommodations were made for the inconvenience. I asked for a refund and drove down the street to townplace suites. I’m still waiting for my refund and the $50 charge for incidentals. I highly recommend not staying at candlewood suites. The elevator button for the first floor does not work either.
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk very friendly and supportive to any needs

- 2/5
We found a lot of roaches in our room
- 3/5
Hard to get to location, in area full of traffic
- 4/5
It smelled like old food on our hall when we checked in. Overall we would stay here again. For the price and the friendliness of the staff you can’t beat it.
- 5/5
Everything was good except there’s no lighting outside at all; most of the parking is in back & on the right side but when it’s dark outside you can’t see anything! It’s pitch black. It truly is scary if you’re a woman alone.
- 2/5
Not at all impressed!! Telephone did not work, recliner was so hard to get out of that it bruised the back of my ankle, and the clean out of the bathroom sink had to be worked from underneath to let water out. Also the dishwasher was not installed correctly. It leaned out from counter. There were no plastic or paper cups.
- 4/5
I expected a bathtub based on my room selection and only had a shower.
- 1/5
Thought I was staying in a nice area and unfortunately that wasn’t the case! Woke up to all 4 of my tires and rims being stolen! My car was left on 2 bricks. Front office could careless and there are no cameras!
- 4/5
Not bad . Just needed to sleep a few hours by the hospital
- 1/5
We had just driven it was 8pm, we were tired and ready to rest. There was noone at the deak,a sign said they had gone to help a guest. 15 mins later she come in withe her dinner plate. But the rooms are nice and clean.
- 1/5
The front desk was of no assistance at all. Sorry; but I wouldn't stay in this place again if it was free. It made me distrustful of Expedia ratings, and I'll never darken the door of a Candlewood Suites again, either.
- 5/5
The hotel and room were very nice and clean. The front desk employee was very pleasant. The only thing that seemed a little weird was that there was no toilet paper holder anywhere and the toilet paper was just sitting on the bathroom counter.
- 3/5
It was nice overall however there were lots of dogs and lots of noise from other guests running down the halls and playing.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 3/5
The property was okay, the staff was great, when you could fine them. Traffic makes getting in and out of the property difficult, bec its on a major highway. My room was clean, but my electronic keys had to be reprogrammed every couple of days, mine was a long stay. The most aggravating poinit to this trip was that I had a room on the bottom floor right next a side door. I was hoping to be able to enter and exit quickly and easily since mine was a long stay and I had a lot of gear. The lock and the door was broke and would not open with my room keycard. They've known about thijs issue for al ong time and have not done anything to repair it. Also, the "gym" ..lol..its not a gym...I'm not sure if anything there even works. It looks like a storage facility for abandoned equipment. I would not recommend this place nor would I stay there, again.
- 1/5
The Desk put us in a room with a known broken shower head that had been tape repaired. During my wife's (75) shower the tape seal failed sending water all over the room (floor to ceiling and outside the room!). Extended negotiations ensued to finally move us
- 4/5
Nuice place, courteous staff. No ice machine in lobby. Have to wait until ice drops in your room's fridge.
- 3/5
Credit machine didnt work when we checked in. We were on 2nd floor and the elevator had a a sign out of service most of the time. Leaving I had to use the stairs again and fell with a cooler and bag, landed on my knee. Told the employee at the desk when checked out, he didnt say sorry or anything. His only response was he didnt put the sign on the elevator. I have an appointment with a doctor to see whats wrong with my knee, it's very swollen still after 5 days. This may not be over with. I also showed the front desk employee, he showed no concern.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and in a good location. The only thing I can say is that the bed is VERY uncomfortable I had to buy a mattress topper to be able to sleep in it and we did see 2 roaches.
- 5/5
Very relaxing atmosphere
- 4/5
good peeps. one of the lady's there is 😂 hysterical. and kind. just mix up on rate but good to go.
- 5/5
Room 218. Everything was great (better than great, really) but the water pressure in the shower was like a car wash!! A bit uncomfortable and not relaxing… I definitely got clean though!! lol. I will be staying here again, but a different room and/or checking the shower pressure or head. :) Each staff member was exceptionally nice and accommodating! Thank you all, so much!!

Housekeeping walked into room without knocking first.

I booked this room because it was close to MD Anderson and the website said it was newly remodeled. When we walked into the first room that we were assigned there was a big puddle of water on the floor. The dishwasher was leaking so we were moved to a second room. I was unable to access the wifi in the second room so I picked the phone in the room to call the front desk and there was no dial tone. I then used my cellphone to call them and was told that ever since the remodeling was done many of their phones do not work. The television was also not working and there was an outlet that was hanging on by a wire where it had not been installed properly. We were then offered a third room but upon entering the room we immediately noticed several cockroaches around the room. In total we killed six in a matter of minutes. I immediately went to the front desk and requested a full refund. As I explained to the staff, cockroaches are a health hazard for any person but especially a cancer patient (we saw several cancer patients on the premises during the short time that we were there including myself). We will never again rent at this location. I took pictures of all the issues we encountered to show the staff.
- 1/5
The room had roaches the minute we walked in. They gave us another room but the door wouldn't lock. We got our refund and went somewhere else.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 2/5
If it wasn’t for roaches in cabinet it would have been a good stay. When I tried to call the front desk at nite time the phone kept ringing I had to walk downstairs to inform of the roaches. In the am it was the same guy told hey I seen more roaches he said he would tell manager nothing happened.
