Spark by Hilton Selma

Room was extremely clean and cool. One concern I have is the TV remote was hard to understand. Need to have instructions on how to work it. Very confusing.

We liked the hotel have stayed at other spark hotels always clean and staff are great the only problem we had which was not the hotels fault was they closed down the street in front of hotel had to drive around at night with all the bright lights coming from workers and police trying to find out how to get to hotel after several attempts we got escorted by the police .

Professional at its best the hot water went out and the got fix immediately. Clean place to stay.

Nothing really unique. I’ve stayed a lot of places and it was what was expected. The road construction was horrible, but that wasn’t Sparks fault!

Consumer service is excellent, staff members very friendly I will be staying there in the future.

The AC was very loud but overall it was a nice place. The construction around the area is annoying but not the fault of the hotel.

That they send you a text and stay in touch with you That they did not forewarn their customers that the freeway feeder (which is under construction), that is the only access to their property was going to be shut down on a Friday evening and you had to have a police escort to get you back onto the property. Being that most people are from out of town did not know where to go or what to do to get back to the hotel.

The location and access to everything was so nice. We stayed 3 nights 4 days and we did not get room service not once. I’m glad we brought our own towels!

Many people might have been really put off by the road construction. The dynamite staff at the Spark was eager to help with alternative routes, etc. it was not that big of a deal.

Spark by Hilton was a great stay! Hotel was clean and maintained properly. Rooms were a great size and air conditioning was fantastic. The only negative was the breakfast. No protein of any sort served like sausages or bacon. There was toast, muffins, bagels, yogurt and oatmeal. Overall a great place to stay!

I needed to reschedule my reservation for later in the the week and Hotels.com woud not accommodate me with this. I didn't get to stay there. My rating of terrible was not about the hotel it was about Hotels.com.

The breakfast is Very poor.

Room was clean and had plenty of towels. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast needs to have waffle makers. A/C was excellent!

Construction on the major highway immediately in front of the hotel was definitely a major problem. Construction noise started very early in the morning. We were not aware of this until we arrived at the hotel, which was disappointing that it did not declare it on the website. The hotel was fine, clean good breakfast and staff was certainly acceptable.

Beds were comfy, but the pillows were weak. A/C was great. The surrounding area is a bit noisy with interstate traffic and construction. Overall, for the price it’s a solid place to stay.

The roads are under construction! We checked in and went out for the night, we came back at 10pm and roads were closed to go in from both sides it took us 1hr driving around and 4 phone calls to the receptionist desk to finally get an answer, when we did we were given a direction and to meet a coo to escort us, there was no cop until further down the road it was a security guard, he didnt speak english and he also didnt know how to get into the property he even lead us to a CEMETERY WHERE WE DROVE INTO!!!! Driving around a cemetary as he was looking on how to get to the hotel, then he saw another security guard and asked her how to get there, he finally guides us to this unpaved road thru bumps and rocks like we were going off roading! I drive a small prius so you can imagine how hard that was! Horrible experience lost about 2hrs total plus a nice night drive thru a cemetery! Careful booking here as the construction looks like its just starting

We stayed there for one night when we visited San Antonio. The staff was real nice. The room was fairly clean although it had a slight odor probably because of the AC. Breakfast contained boiled eggs, bagels, donuts and cereals, so was quite filling. Downtown San Antonio was less than half an hour so we could visit the Tower of the Americas at night without any problems and then came back by midnight to rest. Overall, would recommend the place for family stay. Not a high end hotel but definitely for the budget traveler family looking for a clean place to stay the night.

The first room that was given to me, smelled really bad, the refrigerator didn’t work and the shower knob was broken. The lady in the counter had the worst customer service experience and a bad attitude towards the customer.

Room was nice/clean with Welcome Bernadette on TV when I entered. Nice touch! Rachel was professional & courtesy. I settled in my room & Rachel sent a text message asking if everything was to my liking & if I needed anything. Wish there was coffee maker/cups in rooms. Did not partake in breakfast however, coffee was delicious & didn’t see cream cheese for bagels pleasant ideal. Overall happy with my stay. Thank you staff.

The hotel was clean, loved the room with the sofa,the location is a bit tough because of all the road construction at this time. I wish the breakfast was a bit more than cereal and hard boiled eggs. The price for the room though was great.

Overall my stay was awesome and easy too get around. Very friendly staff and my room was spotless. I would of like to have a coffee machine in room. I'm nit an earlier riser. Would differently stay again.

Room was great, looked brand new and clean. Lots of construction going on around this area and most likely why the pricing is lowered than other areas. Only real complaint is the lack of options for breakfast.

The Room was great. It had lots of room and was very comfortable. The microwave was the cheapest model they could buy, thare was no coffee pot in the room, had to ask the desk for an ice bucket, the fridge was one of those that just kept thangs cold but had no freeze capability to freeze our ice packs. Road construction forced us to drive 3 miles to get around the road closure to get to the hotel.

The hotel wouldn't let me check in, saying that the payment from Expedia wouldn't go through. But I checked Expedia charged my credit card successfully. Then, the hotel cancelled the reservation and asked me to book the hotel room directly. I did, but the Expedia now wouldn't do a refund. I paid the Expedia, then paid the hotel directly for the same room the same night. The hotel said that they couldn't get payment from Expedia but when I asked Expedia to issue a refund, Expedia refused. Expedia customer service email was a mess, as a different rep replied to my email without any contexts and I had to repeat my case but nobody understood my story!!!! Terrible, horrible, hopeless, angry!!!

The restroom door didn't close, but it was tucked away and just me and my husband so it wasnt a big deal, otherwise all good

Staff was very friendly, room was nice. Stayed three nights- room was never cleaned and no coffee pots in room. Breakfast was bare minimum, but did have breakfast sandwiches for sale.

First visit since the property was remodeled. Still easy to access. Clean property, friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice furnishings in the room, will stay here again.

This is a relatively new property - at least thats how it feels. The facility is clean with no weird smells. Staff has been helpful. Construction on the nearby interstate isnt fun to navigate, but getting to the hotel isnt that problematic.

It’s perfect location if heading to Retama. We will DEFINITELY stay here every time.

Staff was super helpful. Over night girl was great and morning staff helped me with bandaids for my new shoes. All nice girls.

The a/c fan was really loud in the room and you couldn't control it. In turn, you had to turn the TV up loud to hear it.

All the staff offered great customer service. The hotel is great! It is clean in all aspects. Breakfast options are great! We stay here several times a year and highly recommend it!

Clean place and kind staff

Beds were comfprtable, rooms spacious. Only missing item was a clock in the room. Employees were welcoming and met all needs. Door to the room was a but heavy to open and took a while to close, which could be positive in some situations and help if one has children who like to escape.

The lack of concern over the experience at this hotel is not what I would expect from a name like Hilton. The first issue happened when I arrived in the lobby, there was no one behind the counter. There was a man and his young son who had been waiting for some time already. I dialed the phone number listed, every menu option simply rang the front desk which did no good given no one was there. We waited approximately 10 minutes before someone arrived and because I was second in line, it was likely closer to 30 minutes before I made it into my room. And it didn't get better then.

I wish there had been more protein options at breakfast. The pool is small! Just be prepared for that. In our room, the conditioner pump did not work. We were only there for one night, so I didn't report it. For us, it was an economical choice and convenient - within 15 minutes - to Natural Bridge Caverns.
