Overall it was a good hotel at a decent price

Lights/vents in the restroom didn't work. There was mold in the restroom as well. Housekeeping did not clean our room. Getting to the hotel at night was a hassle with all the road blockages.

The property was nice and clean eiterbahnnvironment the staff very friendly and carring the breakfast was great close to alot of restraunts and stores and even a horse racing stadium.

The staff and room was great. There was some kid of bug in my bed that bit me. I put it in a cup and gave it to the desk. That handled it very professionally.

Clean room! Clean fitness center! Great breakfast buffet. Pool was also clean. A staff member is always there for assistance. Highlight recommend!

The staff was very nice, but this has to be by far the crapiest Holiday Inn Ive ever stayed at. Rooms need updated. I felt like I was at a 69.00 a night hotel except it was 3 times that price. The construction by this property is unreal. When I booked it said total due at hotel but they called me saying they needed me to pay for it at 11 am! That was the first time thats ever happend and I travel pretty much every month. I won't be staying here again.

There is lots of construction going on in the area so access was a little difficult. The ventilation system was not working making it a health risk for asthmatic and others with lunch difficulties.

The complimentary breakfast was disappointing. The pancakes looked almost 3D-printed and didn’t taste good at all. That said, there were a few positives. I appreciated that the hotel provided Dove-brand toiletries, and the woman at the front desk was kind, friendly, and helpful. It was also convenient that Cheddar’s was right across the parking lot, so we were able to walk over for dinner. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, but for the price, it was an acceptable stay.

The only thing that was a hassle was the construction around it during a certain time at night they close the frontage so it was kind of a hassle going out for dinner and trying to get back to our hotel but other than that great location, great hotel and great service

Our initial room (212) had a noisy air conditioner, which sounded as though the fan was rubbing on something. Not horribly loud, but constant like Chinese water torture. There was also a box of melted ice cream bars in the fridge, which we took downstairs to a trash can. Eventually we decided that noise would destroy sleep, and contacted the front desk. The staff was immediately helpful and put us into the room next door (214) which was a great room without issues.

Okay this may be my new favorite hidden gem hotel in San Antonio! First off, the staff was absolutely top notch! Heather was phenomenal during check in! She was so great with my cranky overstimulated kids! She absolutely made our night with her kindness! Even the other hotel guests were incredibly kind with us and our children! The construction was annoying, I-35 is bad enough-but our trip was excellent and this hotel far exceeded my expectations!!

However the road work near the hotel makes it hard to navigate specially if you go out at night and come back after hours. The public works close exits around..

The only reason why the stay was good was because of the staff that helped resolve my issues. Right at check in a pipe was loose in the bathroom and the room full of moisture. We were moved rooms no issues. The second room had a broken TV, not really a big deal but with kids kinda an inconvenience. The laundry services was not working property as I paid 5$ to dry two small loads and they weren’t even dry. The door from the pool area to get back into the building didn’t work and we were informed it had h in years, so we had to walk around, again not necessarily a bad thing but with getting fussy kids out kinda of an inconvenience. Overall I would stay again because I know the staff will happily address issues if possible.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Hotel rooms were okay may need some maintenance done and breakfast didn’t have much choices. Overall the stay was good.

Hotel right off access road. Was hard to make exit off highway to parking lot. Missed it the first time arriving and had to do big loop to get back around. Hotel was good enough and staff was friendly.

Beds were awesome slept like a baby! Friendly staff!! Construction and road shut down but not their fault.

Unfortunately the pool was closed during my visit which was one of the main reasons for booking. However the room and hotel were clean, staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh with plenty of options. Outside the property could’ve been a bit cleaner but it was mainly due to some folks throwing their trash and food into the parking spaces.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. The staff was really friendly and great. I had to store breastmilk in a freezer and they helped accommodate. Even as I was leaving I needed hot water and they were nice enough to get me some on my way out.

There was random hair on the bed and towel and the exit to make it into this is aweful. If u miss the turn its 10 mins to get back around to it 😂 but other than that it was RIGHT across from our event. It was quiet the room was clean the couch and bed and pillows were so comfy. Shower was hot. But the shower head was clogged on some holes easy fix. Very nice scented dove soaps and lotions. Breakfast was good. Will def stay here again.

The staff was great very patient and understanding. I thought check in time was at 11am but it was at 3pm. He was checking the status of the rooms for us. He offered us to stay until they were ready. We ended up going to a nearby mall. The rooms were spotless and smelled nice. There was a nice note left for us as well. It rained so we did not end up going to the pool but looked clean from where we saw it. Check out was easy night shift was kind as well. The breakfast was neat. They had a make your own pancake station. The women there was helpful and very nice and accommodating. All and all a great time

The front desk lady that checked us in on Saturday, had such great hospitality! Everything was well explained and communicated ! Will definitely like to stay here again ! ALSO the breakfast was great the lady doing the breakfast was very attentive and helpful ! N/A

I thought all the employees were extremely nice. Couldn't find any light switch for the gym. The overhead lights had only four panels that were working. no remote for tv. I do not expect much from a gym at any hotel but I think the bare essentials would be nice. The second night a very loud family checked in. Slamming doors. Didn't care that it was past ten. At almost midnight their children ran screaming down the hallway. Do I blame the children? No I blame the parents. I do blame the hotel for having a "prop phone" in my room. No dial tone. Actually it wasn't even connected. So i had to use my cell phone to call the Reservation number which than had to call the hotel. By this time if the children hadn't ruined my much needed sleep--the phone call did. I think it is nice that some hotels offer pet stay--however you have to be responsible for walking your dog down a hallway as you allow it to bark. And maybe you can pick up the dogs poo that you left at the elevator. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites before. This was my worse experience

Surrounding area was being evacuated due to flash flood warning. Because of the rivers and not wanting to risk being stuck there for the flood we decided to leave early we ask if a refund or transfer to another day was possible and they told me yes initially but because I book through a 3rd party they couldn't. I talked to said 3rd party and they communicated with the hotel who then refuse to refund or transfer to another day due to the weather situation. We are down the price of 2 rooms because we choose to not stay there and risk being stuck in the flood.

Hot tub hasn’t been cleaned in a long time

Nice hotel, however after one night, noticed mold on ceiling above the tub. The hotel quickly cleaned up the mold and moved us to a suite. One thing I noticed was there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. This probably contributed to the mold. While the breakfast plentiful, thought it bland and boring. The fact that it was not pet friendly, means I would stay there again!

This the second time that we have stayed at this property. We came back because the manager and staff were absolutely amazing when we stayed there last year. The manager, Heather, remembered us immediately. That speaks profoundly to me. The service was extraordinary!!! 10/10, we recommend!!!

Had booked through hotels.com. Found a cheaper room at another hotel. Cancelled reservation through hotels.com. Then went to the website and verified I cancelled reservation and it showed no reservations pending or made. My card was charged anyway. Called holiday inn express and they said too bad.

Brendon at the front desk was super friendly and helpful to us during our stay. I highly recommend staying here. The room was spacious and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable for a good night sleep. There were enough pillows for the five of us.

Our first room was awful, dirty and smelled terrible from a moldy and gross shower curtain. There was spilled coffee on the walls and the floors had not been cleaned. The staff member (Brenden) moved us rooms immediately, he took photos of the unclean areas of the room and apologized for the inconvenience. He was incredible to work with and he even wished my daughter luck on her gymnastics competition. We would 100% stay again just based on his and the front office staff's demeanor.

This location was a very comfortable stay. Clean and presentable with very attentive staffing. The room had everything necessary and the bathroom was well lit with plenty of counter space. Clean bathroom with spare towels, soaps and extras. I didn’t get to spend much time with the hotel amenities such as pool and others since I was here for business but it seemed clean and well kept. All staff were friendly and helpful. Parking lot had plenty of space and was located very close to restaurants and grocery stores. Well placed location in my opinion, you never have to wander far if you ever need anything from the store. I would stay at this location again if I am ever in the area.

The employees were fantastic & the breakfast were top notch. My biggest complaint is about the lack of cleanliness to the property. The floors everywhere we looked were either dirty or there was debris that should've easily been swept up by routine vacuuming or sweeping, let alone an occasional mopping!! Our room didn't have a hair dryer so that was obviously missed by the staff when (or if) the room was ever cleaned. The crews that did work to room didn't clean up when repairs were made and for sure the housekeeping staff didn't bother!! The hotel is in a good location for our stay but i doubt seriously if I would consider staying there again.

Property was fairly new, really clean, and was easy to get to places from . It’s located behind the old Selma police station turned Hooters (ha)! Breakfast was good too!

The check-in was easy & she was so friendly. Room was clean & cold (temperature,) which was wonderful since it was HOT outside. The breakfast was great, hot food & cold, several options of each. I will be staying here again in the future.
