Staff was friendly and went fine. Beautiful views and the entrance feels nice when walking in. The pool was nice, although hot at night due to patio door being open. But overall pleasent addition. Location to surrounding area is amazing. 10/10 location. Price is good for quality/$ ratio in my opinion. The A/C in the room was sub-par, slightly hot day and night. A/C in hotel was low of off, hot and humid in the hotel. A few small roaches were found dead in the hotel room. Toilet noise due to leak in toilet. Vent fan cover was half hanging off the ceiling.

It’s okay to stay because it’s accessible when I go to Kemah boardwalk

We needed a place to stay in order to spend the day/night at Kemah after a couple days in Galveston but didn’t want to spend too much. This hotel was reasonably priced and I was actually impressed with the room size and the free breakfast. I couldn’t have hoped for a better result for this price range. Thank you! We could not check in as early as we had hoped and had to sit in the car for an hour in the parking lot waiting.

the sheets were dirty and stained called the front desk to change the linen, she suggested a new room when to the new room she said turn the light on and roaches were crawling on the wall, it was worse!!! It was already 7pm so , I asked for clean linen to change it myself to cover the stain and tuff it out through the night and to be comp for the inconvenience they told me we need to vacate the premise. Guess what you got that oner, but I won't ever GO BACK!!!! EVERYTHING!!

Breakfast was decent The hotel needs more staff. The same ladies that are working breakfast in the cafe are also the ones that are doing housekeeping for the entire hotel once they are done with breakfast duties. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was not cleaned when we came back on Saturday night. Beds remained undone, our trash bins were full and never taken out, no clean towels. We went to the front desk to tell the guy working up there and he told us that they don’t clean the rooms everyday. Sunday night our room was “cleaned” by staff since we complained about it not being cleaned the first night. The room was never cleaned. The only thing was that they made our beds and took out the trash. I guess that is their version of “cleaning”. Safe to say we will not be returning.

This hotel was cleaner and better than quality inn across the street but the beds are uncomfortable. We had stained sheets and a bathroom that was poorly repaired leaving superficial cosmetic eyesore. Our main complains were housekeeping and the breakfast. We intentionally stay at hotels that provide breakfast but were disappointed at the selection. There were fresh omelets available but outside of that only shelf stable items and waffles. Housekeeping was needed and when asked the schedule, we were told they come every other day and check in day doesn’t count. We had one service when we let the front desk know our room was good to clean. Next service date came around and nobody showed. We had to ask yet again. Language barrier prevented a full clean and we only got sheets and towels switched.

Very basic hotel. Our room was OK. There is a really really musty order. For some reason. It triggered my son's allergies. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night, but thankfully the lady at the front desk was helpful and she was not hesitant to help. However, the proper is OK there's nothing special about it if we went on a Saturday and we paid about $150 for it, but the hotel is probably worth a lot less than that if you ask me, I wanna say if you want a more decent hotel maybe you can look somewhere else but if you just want some place to sleep close to the boardwalk and I guess this one is OK

We had everything we needed and more.

Room was nice. Breafast was great. Pool was relaxing and very clean nothing

The breakfast was very nice, omelets, belguim waffles, and all sorts of other items. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Room and hotel are not properly depicted in photos. The hotel is run-down and musky. Breakfast was abysmal. Front desk clerk was not helpful regarding discrepancies regarding bill via Hotels.com and receipt given by Melrose.

It was friendly and clean, and I was able to get a good night's sleep.

The entire second floor smelled like natural gas/propane. The staff shrugged it off. Oh, and there was roaches and the air conditioning didn’t work.

The hotel was good, clean, conveniently located and the staff at check in was good.

Acutely musty smelling room. Had to leave when not sleeping.

The breakfast could have been better. I didn’t like it at all.

Overall good stay. The location is perfect for Kemah and NASA adventures. The breakfast is pretty good. There was a toy in our room on the couch which makes me feel like the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. Also, our trash was not taken out so it was overflowing when we left. Despite those things, the value for what we paid was spot on.
- 4/5
Their hotel was nice but the only thing was that our air conditioner unit didn’t keep the room too cool. It took awhile to even get close to being cool in the room. And some our extra bed sheets had a hole in it. Overall the hotel was nice and clean.
- 3/5
The doors aren’t flush in the rooms so you have to make sure the doors close behind you. Tile was lifted/loose in rooms. Breakfast was ok.

i had to try and hang towels to help cover window. the tv was not good, never had a full connection,

This place is basically a motel six. If you have those expectations coming in, you won't be disappointed. The room was OK not super clean. There were some hairs in the shower and definitely needs a little bit of an upgrade. The staff was almost annoyed when we asked for bedding, which should've been included in our room as we were four with a pullout and one bed. The saving grace was definitely the omelette bar. The rest of the breakfast was just OK, but in comparison to the actual hotel, I was surprised they had a woman making omelettes. Definitely a cost of under $100. I paid around 150 which was definitely overpriced for this type of hotel.

Photos are deceiving. Staff (evening desk manager) was horrible. Tried to get an extra pillow due to having a shoulder replacement and he wouldn’t budge. It was my wife, our grandson and myself. He told me we could only have the 3 pillows. Then I asked for bedding for my grandson since he was on the couch and he gave me 1 sheet and a thin blanket.

The elevator got stuck for a little, Ice machine was out of order on 3rd floor and the AC in room wasn't really working until after about 30 minutes of being on. Over all the staff was nice and clean room.
- 4/5
I think everything was ok. Only the pool was cold.
- 5/5
It was good
- 4/5
On a positive note, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is perfectly adequate. However, use caution in the pool area—the edges are very jagged, and I ended up getting cut. Overall, those were the main highlights and concerns from my stay.

When you walk in there is an odd smell and someone who has taken residences in the hotel and has his shades open for everyone to see everything..we got to see him coming in and out of the shower to his room. Luckily the towel was wrapped. Most parts looked updated but when I finally got to my room I noticed there was stuff on a bed and in the bathtub. Dirty parts looked literally painted over. The smell seemed off. The tv wouldn’t work so I had to go down to the front office, there was no phone to just call. He didn’t seem to believe me and just came up so I could show him. Literally into my room. I told him it could be the batteries but it isn’t working. When looking I noticed an actual air freshener hidden behind the dresser. So I guess the smell wasn’t just us. He said the sensor was messed up and to use the tv we would have to stand and click through or there is no tv. I asked for a cleaner room with a different tv and he refused. Said the manager has to approve it and he wasn’t there. So I just left. When I left I started noticing more things. Holes in floors. Pipes randomly sticking out. Broken floors. Went to another place closer and it was much better

The room had a roach in the bathtub , water took a long long time to warm up. There was dirty sheets with a big foot print on it . did not smell very well. elevator was broken . I should as for a refund . We had two rooms.
- 4/5
I do not know if this can be a fair rating considering I only stayed one night however the room was clean my kids like the morning breakfast and it was very convenient to keep my boardwalk and the area was just beautiful
- 1/5
Elevator didn’t work throughout our stay and we were on the third floor. Ice machine only worked on one floor and for a while that one didn’t work. Then the last day the water heater was out so cold showers for everyone.
- 2/5
There were no coat hangers in the room at all. No "Do Not Disturb" sign. The a/c was obviously struggling and startlingly loud whenever the compressor kicked on. I travel for work and stay in hotels at least a couple of times every month, and this was noisy enough for me to feel concerned. The room got cool, eventually, but never lost the stuffy, not-enough-air, feeling. Finally, after the 5k event we traveled 2 hours to attend, we could not take showers because there was no hot water. That's when we discovered there was also no phone and no front desk info posted in the room. When I found the number and called we were told there was a problem with the boilers and maybe it would be fixed in half an hour. We left. We will not be back. Incredibly disappointing...the location of the hotel is convenient to so many things, but the facility is obviously not maintained well and the staff don't seem motivated to reassure the visitors.

Parking ok, elevator not working, no problem we will take the stairs. No hot water for entire stay. Not good, wish I would have been told and I would have gone elsewhere. Bedding had stain on comforter.

Pool is not heated but it was okay. Parking was okay close to the hotel. Staff was great, room was neat and presentable. Breakfast was from 6am-9am wish it was till 11 but they have a lady making any kind of omelette you wanted and that was amazing.
