Room was clean, staff was helpful and wonderful

Everything was good from start to finish from the staff until we got to the room we went to the pool. We did the fitness room like and the breakfast. Everything was good. We are definitely coming back.

The room was clean and it smelled nice in the lobby and hallways. The only downside was the pool was very dirty.

The hotel was overbooked so before I checked in no one said anything. I assumed I had the room I requested til I went up to the room. I had a suite but was given 1 king size bed with a sofa. I had to go downstairs to let them know. She did had me sit in the lobby to call the manger to see how they were gonna accommodate me for 5 people. That would took 30 minutes sitting waiting. They finally had to give me someone else suite that had not yet arrived since I had already paid in advance for a 2 bedroom suite with a pull out sofa bed. I still did not get what I actually paid for but at least I had 2 queen beds with a sofa bed. I want be back. Hats off to the lady on duty who did her best to accommodate

Very few staff to take care of the hotel, so the quality has gone down to where we have decided to never go back to a Holiday Inn. We stayed in the one in Miami earlier this month, where we encountered prostitutes coming in and out of the elevator. No more Holiday Inn for us!!

Could not fault our stay! The staff were amazing, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. The hotel was so quiet that we slept until 8am every morning, which is very unusual for us! The beds were comfortable, and breakfast offered a great selection of both hot and cold options. We would happily stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. It is a very busy hotel, with people enjoying Kemah, & a lot of folks staying there before cruising out of Galveston. One of the two elevators was broken during our stay, & with so many guests, that was an occasional problem. I hope it is fixed soon! Breakfast was good, but a little chaotic. The staff needs to improve on restocking breakfast items, & cleaning vacant tables, during busy times. For coffee, there is a machine. It makes pretty good coffee, but it fills the mugs too close to the top, so there is no room for creamer. I’m sure that’s fine for the “no cream” people, but I had to switch to a to-go cup, to have enough space. So, either bigger mugs, or a slight adjustment to the machine, is needed.

We stayed here for my Birthday weekend. The property was very clean and smelled wonderful! The room was very clean and everything stocked. The staff greeted us whether we were coming or going! We will stay here again!😊

On a short stay, the first 2.5 days were without wifi. I could not connect and when I inquired about the situation, I was given a customer service number for me to call. I called and spent way too much time on the phone with no results. Finally, a staff member checked the access point in my room and determined that it was not working. They replaced it and I was able to connect. I did all of the troubleshooting for them and asked to be compensated for the inconvenience and was told I could not be compensated due to the booking was through Expedia.

Elevators was broken had to walk up 20 flights of stairs the whole weekend iam I big guy my knees is hurting and my ankles hurting real.bad..a need a refund

The elevator has been broken for almost a month so we had to use the stairs which was fine if we didnt have suitcases and a sleeping 3 year old.

The parking lot grass and bushes in the area weren’t maintained well. The grass was tall and bushes over grown. My biggest disappointment was the broken elevator. I understand there was a storm and a part was on order but I wish I had been offered a different room if possible. I wouldn’t have minded a different type of room to avoid going up and down 4 flights of stairs several times a day.

Reasonably priced and great location situated between Johnson Space Center and Kemah Boardwalk. Breakfast is better than most budget hotels and more than just a continental breakfast. Cons: Elevator had been out for a week prior to arrival due to a lightning strike but staff was able to move us from 4rth to 2nd floor. In our room the bathroom needed some maintenance. Towel bar anchor into the wall had come loose. Hinges on door needed lubrication and sink was slow to drain. Downstairs bathroom by the fitness center was out of paper towels and/or toilet paper on multiple occasions. All in all an ok place to stay. Management just needs to perform some periodic inspections.

All staff was super friendly, even tho they had just taken over they did a great job at making us feel welcome and safe. The breakfast was great and when it was running low the staff kept up with filling everything! Highly recommended this place!!

Beds and pillow were wonderful. Large bathroom and shower. Room had all amenities and plenty oh outlets.

The facility was clean and looks like it hadn’t been there for long. Very helpful and polite staff. The breakfast was way better than most of the hotels I’ve ever stayed. There’s always room for improvement so I will say it was a very good experience but not excellent.

This hotel was perfect! It was very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was great. And it was conveniently located about a 5-minute drive from both NASA and the Kemah Boardwalk (both of which my 9 year old loved).

I absolutely love all front mangers and their staff! Makes you feel welcomed I stay here every time I’m in town.

The desk staff was ok but unavailable when trying to call. We didn't have heat the first night temps dropped to 42. Moved use the next day and only had power in the outlets on one side of the room. We had to move the microwave to the dresser to use it and Maintenance never came. Bedding had stains and had to ask for fresh linen. Mrs. Leslie was very helpful and the guys cooking breakfast were nice

We had two rooms; room one had fruit loops left on the carpet. We did not have fruit loops on this trip indicating that the carpet had not been vacuumed. Room two had two beds, one of which had sheets that smelled dirty and musty and were unsleepable. No wash clothes, no bar or liquid soap provided. Ice machine broken. Had to slam door to lock. Room had water damage on ceiling and room spelled moldy. Manager dressed unprofessional and rude to her staff. Night cashier gave bare minimum; not rude but not friendly either.

The room was clean and spacious, it was quiet, and beds were decent (a little on the harder side), bathroom was equipped with everything needed, and breakfast had hot and cold selections just was a little light on the fruit offerings. I love that they have coffee, tea, and water available 24/7. The gym was the best I've seen in a hotel with lots of equipment. I would definitely stay here again!

We arrived to find our room had not been cleaned. There was hair all over the countertop and sink, and our bed linen was stained/dirty. However the check in staff was amazing, and she promptly changed our room with apologies. Their wait staffs’ customer service was extremely sweet and helpful, and for that very reason I would consider giving them another chance in the future. Just dissatisfied with arrival state

Lots of areas to plug in electronics, and nice table area to lay suitcases with hooks over to hang coats etc. Nice amenities including Dove bath products, fridge, microwave, Keurig in room. Breakfast was good - lots of selections and good coffee. Front desk lady at check in was very nice and pleasant. Felt safe and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Room was pretty clean and the bathroom had everything we needed. There was an issue with the heater in our room, it wasn’t that cold in the room and the heavy blanket we had made it comfortable, so we didn’t take the staff up on their offer to switch rooms. Other guests were quiet and friendly and the staff was nice and friendly. Great location, very safe feeling and very accessible. All and all, worth the money.

We stay here every time we’re in the area. It’s always clean & accommodating. The location is perfect for the Kemah Boardwalk, all the waterfront eateries & todos… & they’re have a free breakfast buffet. Great bang for the buck!

I was disappointed in this Holiday Inn Express. Usually HIE is very clean and nice. Unfortunately the bathroom had mold and mildew and there were hairs in the towels. I would not recommend this as one of the Holiday Inn Express best properties, not even close.

Any time we asked the staff for help or information, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. They were noticeably frustrated and unhelpful. When we called to report issues with the room, only a few were noted, and it was clear they didn’t really care. To make matters worse, we were charged a random $150 fee that no one at the front desk could explain. We were told only a GM could speak to us about it. When we asked for a receipt or emailed confirmation of the charge, they couldn’t provide that either. Very frustrating overall—I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
