Holiday Inn Express & Suites Denton - Sanger by IHG

Very pleasant stay! From pleasant, welcoming staff to a very spacious and clean room! We will definitely be staying at more Holiday Inn Expresses, especially this one when we return to another concern in the area.

Rooms were clean and staff helpful

Room was clean but very stale air, the room me and my wife had, had been forced open at some time and was a little sketchy the safety latch was not functioning but the deadbolt was at least working

There was no coffee pot in the room. They had an amazing machine in the lobby but when I wake up I would rather make some coffee in my room and sit quietly and drink it. I had to go down to the lobby to get my coffee during my stay.

A very clean hotel, rooms were great!!! Highly recommend. Construction on the service road next to the highway but still easy to get too. Never heard the highway in our room.

The hotel was clean and the room comfortable for an overnight stay. The waffle machine was broken but the breakfast was decent. We would stay here again.

As a wheelchair bound person I found the staff to be of great help

The restrooms floors are always filthy with hair and the breakfast was terrible I grab a bagel and it was moldy from the bottom. Also the receptionist is always in a bad mood, she had me waiting to check in while she checked her text messages.

Our stay at this hotel was great. Very well kept and clean. Our only complaint would be that no one was ever at the front desk. We had to ring the bell several times upon arrival and again for check out.

Nice visit

When I arrived, the girl at the front desk was polite and helpful. Once I got to the room, it was not finished with by housekeeping, and the tv remote was missing. But, when i went to the feont desk, she immediately apologized and had no problem switching me to a different room. Luckily the new room was right next door, so i appreciate the accommodation she provided.

The tv was not working and the front desk just said I should check the wiring. It’s nearly impossible to get behind the tv to even see what’s going on. Apparently someone unplugged the cables before our stay. After fighting with the tv to reconnect the cables and wires, I went to use the bathroom. There was something brown/red splatter on the toilet seat. On the door frame was more brown smears. Then upon getting in bed, I noticed a big brown chunk of something on the floor by my daughter’s bed. Super gross all around! I don’t know if they just had an off day or what but it did not live up to the reputation and I would not stay here again.

The front desk person actually questioned us about not having a remote in our room. “Are you sure there’s no remote? There should be.” Also, questioned my mom about a beeping smoke detector in her room. “I don’t hear it beeping (on the phone).” 2 nights

Close to the school

I don't remember the name of the gentleman at the desk, but he asked how long I was staying with them. I said I woukd be leaving in the morning. He asked me what time my flight was and I told him 10:20. He informed me to not leave after 7 or I could miss my flight due to the morning traffic. He saved me from missing my flight and I appreciate the friendliness and information.

The walk in shower is horrible! Water gets all over the bathroom floor.

Hotel was very clean. Only complaint would be the air. It didn't seem to keep the temp as set and the fan would not stay.

The hot water in my room did not work unless I went to the front desk and asked them to address it. There was also no coffee maker in the room, and I had to request one from the front desk, where it was handed to me in a plastic bag. Cleanliness was another major issue. The bathroom had clearly not been cleaned properly, as there was urine on the floor near the toilet. Customer service was also disappointing. Each time I approached the front desk, I had to ring the bell because the employee was around the corner on his phone. Overall, this was not the friendly, stress-free, and comfortable experience I have come to expect from Holiday Inn stays.

check in staff was not very welcoming and we would have liked for extra toilet paper to be delivered to the room since extra rolls were not provided in the bathroom. we had to go downstairs to pick up an extra roll and also extra towels.

Our room and hotel was very clean!

The hotel itself was nice and the staff was friendly. Our only complaint was that our room did not come with blackout curtains, only the shades, so at 6:30 in the morning the room was full of sunlight, waking us both up when we were really looking forward to sleeping in a bit.

Loved the location, right off the highway. Had no issues and the breakfast was nice.

I had no problems with the cleanliness or the staff. What I had a problem with was that there was no hot water in order to take a shower. Another customer was at the counter complaining that they had no hot water either. When I asked for a partial refund due to the fact that I had to take a cold shower when the temperature outside was 46° I was told that since I had booked through a third-party that they could not do that.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was a little firm, but that seems to be nearly all smaller hotels. Didn’t have time to grab any of the breakfast, but it looked like there was quite a few options.

Service was horrible

We had a late checkin,1030PM. Wasn’t expecting a $50 security deposit with refund 3-5 days in order to get room. This has been a 1500 mile trip and our third stay at HI.. first one to ask for security deposit.

We left too early to have breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable.

My point is the staff was not helpful, did not offer any help to bring ice until I begged very uninterested desk girl who claimed she was the only attendant and I could call a manager in the morning. The motel needs staff customer service training too. Still hurting days later and was not compensated of my room, brought a free breakfast or cared about at all! I feel this Sanger motel is just about money grubbing!

Once we arrived that Saturday night around 8:30pm, we were told our reservation had been cancelled due to my credit card not going through. They said they called me and left a voicemail but I never received a call. I didn’t have to pay until I arrived that day of checking in. Now the same credit card I reserved with was the one I had to pay for another room that night at a higher rate because I was told they don’t like dealing with booking.com reservations. The manager refused to give me the same rate l had received when I booked through booking.com. When I told the front desk lady I would submit a review on how I was treated, she responded that If I was going to give them a bad review I could go stay at another hotel. Very unprofessional. This is the first time I have ever given a bad review to Holiday Day Inn. I’ve never experienced something like this before at any hotel. I hope this situation is looked into before this happens to someone else.

Staff was freindly and very helpful. My thermostat did not work in my room and when i told the staff, the immediately apologized and gave me a new room. There is a fuzzy taco, pizza hut and jack n the box within 200 feet of the hotel. Breakfast was good. They served powdered eggs, sausage patties and links, biscuits and gravy and cinnamon rolls. Not bad for a free breakfast. I would say it was a pretty good stay.

First off the over all stay was decent. Not worth the price but the comfort of the bed and how well the place smelled makes a huge difference. But, the breakfast was not good. The pancake maker didn’t work, the gravy was gloopy. Out room was out of soap. And the front desk lady told us “We” needed to tell the cleaning lady when she comes by the next day and gave us just a tiny bar of soap. The wrong kind. All the tile in the room were cracked and our window shade was literally standing in the corner of the room not useable. The price of the hotels these days we should have soap, shades and a good breakfast.

The first room was disgustingly dirty. I took pictures on the carpet that had food stains and who know what other type of stains on it. There was food crumbs by bed base, the bathtub had hair in it; Before I noticed the stains on the carpet, I cleaned the wall by the window and chair as it had what seemed to be food stains on it. The room had a very bad odor. After the front desk saw the pictures, they did move us to another room, but I still was uncomfortable as the first room was so dirty I didn't feel clean; If I would have had time I would have asked to cancel the reservation and gone to another hotel. Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel again and will think twice before stating at this chain anymore.

I was locked out of my room the second day after paying for 2 days. After going back to the rude front desk I was given a key. After entering my room, then the tv would not work. Called the front desk & she said it would be the next day before it could be fixed.

I came to Texas to visit my daughter that is at school at UNT. The price was so reasonable compared to anything around the college and the drive was super quick. I will be staying here again.
