I did not like anything about this place. The staff are rude and unhelpful when it came to our booking. They cancelled our booking without contacting us, then tried to charge us a no show fee. After all that, they tried to make us do back and forth with booking.com to resolve the issue. Everything. Read my other review above. They don't care about their guests, they only care about the bottom line and have ZERO customer service. It's infuriating that they won't work with you and just try to charge you for unnecessary fees to see if they can get away with such shoddy practices.

Good hotel. Nothing special not too many sketchy people around, a few but not much can be done about the location. Staff were very nice. Room was okay. Good place to stay a night or two.

My mistake I did not see the I rented a smoking room and it was unbearable and left early due to the odor. Food left in the fridge.

The desk clerks was really nice, im not sure if our reservation an us showing up so quick allowed them to clean the room in time, but the tub had not been cleaned with soap belonging to previous guess and dirty towel was still in the tub, the microwave had 2 mildew plates still in it and the air conditioning was not cold for the 99 degree weather we had, but the clerk did come and set it right. Overall not a stressful stay but I wasn't used to these issues. Would not stay again

After another hotel left me hanging by cancelling me for not showing up before 6pm, University Inn saved the day by accepting a reservation made after 9pm. I knew I should have booked them to start with. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, no bugs, no smells, great AC. They did a $50 incidental hold that was released after room inspection, so no issues there.

The rooms were clean, staff was super helpful and super friendly. Highly recommend

The staff here is the main reason we have stayed multiple times when in San Antonio. The rates are reasonable, and it is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. It could use some TLC but overall we enjoy staying here. Be aware that there is a fire station just down the road so if loud noises wake you easily, this might be a problem. Overall, great value for the money.

Good value, but you can hear traffic because rooms are accessed through outside doors. If you’re a light sleeper, might look else where.

It is an older hotel. Well maintained and they are still doing renovations and improvements. Rooms are ilder but clean. It is a no frills hotel but very worth the money.

Exactly what we needed. Nothing fancy. You can tell it’s an old building that had been renovated but we were taking three teenagers to six flags and this was perfect for our needs. Staff was friendly. Room was old but clean. Bed was a bit hard but I usually prefer firm anyway.

Property was old and some outlets didn’t work and the tv remote would only allow scrolling through channels one by one, but property was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Thought it was a good value for the price we paid.

Rooms are nothing like the pictures, I felt unsafe. Not recommended for a woman with children.

Dated, but comfortable. Nice people. Wouldn't have taken the family there, but fine for a solo night in SA. It was exactly the level of hotel you'd expect for the budget price.

Poor condition

Front desk guy was absolutely rude and impatient. He was giving attitude for no reason. The stay didn’t help either, microwave didn’t work, bathroom was disgusting, room was dirty.

Place was absolutely amazing except the shower had no hot water when I went to clean up.

The room was clean. The staff is always friendly, the Shower could use more water pressure but other than that it is very quiet.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. The issues were the rooms. The door to get in was very hard to get open, and I had to almost bust open the door to get in. There was a BUNCH of ants in the room. It was the second room I had tried and at the point I didn’t feel comfortable staying the night.

Just a terrible place to stay with family. Very dirty unsafe and dingy rooms. Our door would not open we had to jam it open and it was unsafe. This is not ok to have doors that don't open and close properly. The front desk person was very friendly and offered to give me back the deposit I paid for on top of the hotel charge. Never again

I arrived and checked in and was advised I would be charged a $50 deposit. I told them I would be checking the room and taking photos and was told it wouldn’t be a problem because the room would be clean as well as towels and amenities.we went to the room and immediately were met with a fowl odor, the furniture was stained and unclean and I checked the bed and found bed bugs. We did take photos quickly and left and went and asked for our money and deposit back. There were no reviews online about anything other than it was an old property. I can handle old but not the above conditions.

For what it is and the price, its not actually bad. Its was pretty clean, no issues with the rooms. Dont expect the hilton, but you arent paying hilton prices!

Low budget motel, didnt expect too much. Usual 1990s style decor, tired nweds remodelling. The major dissapointment not allowed for, was a shower that couldn't even get you wet. What a dismal dribble that couldnt even wet my bald head. The room coffee was nothing like coffee, and none available at breakfast time either. I'm British and used to poor hotels, but I would give this a miss next time and pay just a little more for a huge improvement.

GREAT staff at a SAFE and CLEAN place. The beds are comfy but items are a little worn and our tub didn't drain well after each shower. Solid place to stay if you’re on a budget and need to be in and out.

Rooms smelled so bad. Beds had dents, hard, and so uncomfortable. We couldn't sleep all night. Sofa bed had tons of stains and towels as well. Definitely not a vacation place to stay with family. Never again staying here.

My vehicle was hit overnight and still waiting to receive the video footage. I believe the car that hit my vehicle was the owner so I am sure we won't receive any footage.

It was old and ran down,… but it was cheap and that is what i needed. There was literally a police stand off with guns drawn in the parking lot next door while we were there. We were not in a very safe area.

The rooms are really ckean ,spacious and the staff is awesome. I have Multiple Sclerosis and when I was checking out the front desk csrwas really cool about helping me with my things. Whenever im in San Antonio University Inn and Suites is where to be be. Very pleasurable experience.

It looked very run down I was told I wouldn’t get my points back so I stayed I went to my room the couch was torn up the floors and walls had stains the toilet wasn’t cleaned pee in the back of it holes in the walls I think they had bed bugs because when I woke up I had small bites in my legs I called to let them know but because my room was lottery free there was nothing they could offer me I wouldn’t suggest anyone stay at this location

We loved that it was located so close to the Gauthier dress shop, La Cantera shopping center, all of our favorite dining spots, and the convenience of being right off of the hwy.

People don't know how to give reviews. This place is barely average. Used cans all around where my room was, massive cut in the sofa, microwave and refrigerator look horrible. Use this place as a last result. The App will not let me add photos.

Amazing hospitality every time

The room had a mold odor, the main door had to be slammed in order for it to stay shut. The bathroom door was the same way oh and the bathroom light wouldn't come on right away either. I won't be back
