Staybridge Suites San Antonio Sea World by IHG

The location, cleanliness, breakfast and most of the staff. The front desk checked us in and it was only until we got to our room that we realized that it was not the room we paid for, in full, a month in advance. I brought it to the front desk staff's attention, only to be told that it was due to a high number of hotel guest that my reserved room was no longer available. Later, the Manager recanted the first explanation and offered the explanation that we did not reserve a King Suite. Upon providing proof, the Manager then validated my prior reservations and promised a small refund.

It had a great variety of items. Parking was small, but still worked out fine for us.

Hotel was nice and comfy. Breakfast was really good. I never been to a hotel where they serve fountain drinks. Food was good, it had the usual eggs, waffle maker, sausage, toast, and fruit!

The staff were extremely helpful and allowed us an early check in because the room was available, which was super helpful for us. We have three young kids and being able to get them ready for Sea World in a hotel room rather than Sea World's changing rooms was helpful for us. There was insufficient seating available for breakfast which was a little annoying/frustrating.

The ac in the room was not working well. Microwave went haywire.

Everything was perfect. Room was clean, staff was very professional, breakfast was amazing. Great place to stay for family if you’re going to Seaworld. Free shuttle that’ll take you back and forth.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated but a great size especially if you have lots of luggage or are visiting for awhile.

Kitchen had only pots no pans and no actual knives and no silverware. They also didn’t move the curtains when cleaning and we found dirty underwear. I can only imagine what else they didn’t actual clean.

The property was older. The rooms were clean, although the dishwasher was full of dishes (we did not use dishes so I did not feel need to unload their dishwasher). I appreciated that they offered a two bedroom suite. This location is extremely close to SeaWorld and they offer a shuttle, which is not only convenient, it saves you about $50 in parking at SeaWorld. The breakfast was average, but had a nice variety. The pool was small, but looked clean. The best thing about this property was the staff. We encountered probably six staff members during our visit and every one of them was friendly and helpful.

The staff were helpful and courteous. The facility and room was dated. The walls are very thin as you could hear noises from the neighboring rooms as well as the guests in the room above as they walked or ran. The bathroom has an opening near the tub. There were several bugs near that opening.

I liked that it was very close to Lackland Air Force base. The staff was very nice. I didn’t like that on the website it stated that I could not bring along my pet as well as it saying no WiFi. Despite it having WiFi and pet friendly. Caused me to lose $200.

Nice breakfast. We had no air conditioning, they couldn’t move us to any other room because they were full. They gave us a fan.

The hotel and the building is great but it smells like dog. All the hallways smell like dog food. I think they should a sign an area that is pet free

Room was well equipped with kitchen supplies and nice set up with couch, table, desk, etc. The breakfast was horribly managed. Not enough staff to maintain the buffet area and keep the tables clean. Very disappointing.

only problem i have was door key never work on my stays they never fixed and i found a cockroach in the bathroom i dont recomended

When checking in, i was asked for another card. I thought it was for incidentals. So i provided a card. When i got to my room the door was propped open and unsecure. I called front desk and she acted like it was super inconvenient to get a different room. I do not know who had access to the room. After arguing, i did get a new room. The room had broken tile around the toilet and tub, shower head had calcium build up and looked disgusting, Now 4 days later, I realized that my card was charged. Not in a pending status, called and spoke to christy and she said, oh well nothing she can do until a manager looks at it the next day. Ridiculous. I paid twice for a single night, not asking for something that needs an approval. They basically stole from me.

The staff was so helpful. Front desk Jaymes made our stay 1000% more enjoyable. This is the second time we stay. And even booked a room for my in laws. We went to Seaworld for Easter weekend. Food is delicious

The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms could use a bit of updating, but they were still pleasant and relaxing. The cable didn’t work in our room, and the cleanliness could have been slightly better—but as an Airbnb cleaner myself, I tend to notice the small details! Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing visit, and I’d stay again.

Room was in desperate need of remodel or refurbishing. Paint/tile falling apart, carpet dirty. I will not stay here again

This hotel was clean, no issues with strange people, & the location was excellent. The staff was friendly & prompt to respond the 1 time we needed anything from them. The free breakfast was a nice bonus. It was an actual breakfast, not a continental breakfast. From here on, we're staying here.

Room was not cleaned properly. There was raisins all over the couch and floor. The bathroom had hair hanging from toilet seat, hair in the shower and hair wrappers left hanging in bathroom with hair wrapped around it - notified front desk, she said they will add note to account. Great stay but room was not cleaned prior to arrival - went to seaworld called to notify of late arrival and this happened when we arrived. 😔

I really enjoyed the room. It was clean and smelled nice. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was great and I really enjoyed the social days. Service was fast and reliable.

Everything was good..my initial room had a smell and they immediately moved me.. The breakfast was good every morning, the meal in the evening were awesome too! My son loved the small pool! My favorite part was the free ride to and from SeaWorld!! I’ll definitely be staying again!

It’s very family friendly. It’s under renovation so far it was good. Just need a few upgrades and fixes. The bed is soooooo comfortable we loved it. And the view was amazing. It’s very convenient where it’s located. It needs a little more cleaning in the rooms. Our room had a few issues with that but overall it’s great. I’ll stay again when I town!! The breakfast it’s aaaammmmaaaxzziiinngggg and staff it’s soooo friendly and polite.

The room smelled like pee and it didn’t help that it was hot so the smell was rancid.

This hotel offers a good breakfast and sometimes has a light dinner on special nights. Located maybe 5 min from Seaworld and has plenty dining around. Easy to find and check in.

The sofa in the room desperately needs to be replaced, the shower head came off, and the bedroom doors would not close properly. Since they are renovating, I expect there items will be addressed. They did respond to our complaints timely and professionally and the stay was great otherwise.

The service and response time.

We did not get the room we reserved the couch had holes in them and it the floor was wet from drainage. I try to speak to management about it no one would help me. Not a good experience at all. The convenience of SeaWorld being close was the only good thing.

Loved the stay front desk was very helpful and polite, we were able to check on early which was a big plus considering we had two toddlers. The breakfast was good and even had social night during the weekdays, offered tacos and salad, beer and wine on a Tuesday. We were right down the street from sea world, could see the park from our windrow. The sofa bed does need mattress that fits, the one we had was smaller therefore we used pillows otherwise you would be sleeping on metal, but everything else was wonderful, will definitely be staying on future visits

The hotel room was very cozy. I loved the amenities. Having a full sized refrigerator, living room separate sleeping area, etc. The breakfast was really good too. The staff greeted me at the front and was very accommodating. Much appreciated! Thank you for a great day!

The property was nice. Room was fine. My only complaint was the front desk staff lady from 3-11 pm on 4/12 was not very happy to be there and it was so obvious.

Registration was not the best experience. The front desk woman was on a personal call when I arrived and was not happy she had to help me. The whole registration process was rushed and she kept telling me not to worry about that and to initial and sign. Afterwards I parked and returned with my family and dogs. As I entered she asked me if my dogs were planning to sleep in the room, I said of course! She next stated I would have to pay as she didn’t charge me. Again she rushed through the process to get back on her personal call and failed to ask if I had any pets. I told her to charge me as I was not denying to pay the fee, in fact I thought it was already included as this is a dog friendly hotel. After that issue was sorted out the sofa bed in the room only had a sheet and no blanket. I returned to the front desk to ask for a blanket, the same lady said she would tell someone to bring a blanket to the room. After an hour of waiting for the blanket I called the front desk and the man who answered said he would bring me one. He personally walked over to our room and handed us a blanket. After 5 hours of driving in traffic and arriving at night our family and dogs were tired. We just wanted to rest. I am very appreciative of the male staff that brought over the blanket as soon as he hung up the call. Other than that our stay was good, nice location and close proximity to tourists attractions.

Property is in a nice location and only it only being a few minutes to sea world, made it real convenient.

The room didn’t look clean. At least the floors. They were very stained. I didn’t look at the mattress in the bedroom but I had to sleep on the pull out couch. It was very very uncomfortable and stained. The couch itself was filthy and torn up. I asked if they just had cots or an extra mattress but they said they didn’t. They suggested I buy egg crate cushion to help. I thought I was splurging for a nicer place but I think not.
