Love staying here! Always smells amazing when you walk in. Chad at the front desk has gone above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the last 20 years and this might be my favorite one of all time. The reason why was the staff. They all seemed so happy, enjoying their job, happy to help. I didn't feel like I was in the US, but instead another country. The hotel is beautiful and the beds and towels were great, but whomever is managing this hotel - kudos to you.

The room was perfect , but the check out was not when I learned of an extra destination fee that I was unaware of and after Luke explained it to me what it was and how I was suppose to get a card at our check in , I learned I could have used during our stay . So we lucked out on that but Luke kindly fixed that for us. Also there’s a $400 dollar hold on card even if you pay ahead of time in full . Didn’t see that anywhere posted but other than that it was a nice place that we spent our anniversary at. View was definitely amazing along with outside balcony 💗

It felt like a resort with the outdoor pool and bar. The staff is very friendly and the hotel had everything we needed.

Disliked: As someone who travels for business, it was frustrating to not find any quiet corner on main level to have quiet cell phone conversation. The music/sound in lobby, conference room open area and bar areas was way to loud during morning hours from 630am - 10am.

The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff (Luke!) was friendly. We didn’t have breakfast there but loved the bar. Location was great.

We came here to celebrate a recent birthday as a staycation and we were very happy with the choice we made. The hotel is in a great location and the grounds are so beautiful, especially the large garden area. The room was spacious and comfy but the best amenity was the amazing balcony overlooking the gardens. We will definitely be staying here again!

We have stayed here before and loved it so we decided to come back! It’s a fantastic location, very clean, and quiet. As much as we loved our original stay, seems this time we got shorted. Rates were much higher than previously, and I particularly did not like that we were ‘given’ a $25 daily food/drink credit within the rate yet it wasn't truly a credit for such. As a Bonvoy Marriot member we were given 2 complimentary drinks at one of the bars, two free coffees from the coffee shop or restaurant, and high speed internet. However, it is not clearly explained while booking nor was the front desk when checking in the fine print. It wasn’t until we opted to have breakfast the following morning at Corriane. Service was slow but we understood as it seemed understaffed, and it was made clear by our server as he seemed very stressed and scattered. We overheard other parties also complain about the service/incorrect orders and/or missing items. Our server did not get one of the side items we requested, but at least the gentleman who seemed to be a supervisor corrected the error immediately and brought it soon after we got our food. Then, when the time to pay our tab, I mentioned to the server that we had the $25 food/drink credit to which he said he had nothing to do with it that we just charge it to the room, then at checkout the front desk would take the credits accordingly. Plus, he said that he didn’t even charge us for the coffee, yet neither one of us had coffee with our breakfast! We politely agreed and moved on, but stopped by the front desk to ensure this would be the case. This is when Ian let us know that the $25 food/drink credit is ONLY available when ordering food/drinks at night time! We already had other plans for that evening so eating at the hotel was not going to happen. I explained to Ian this wasn’t explained properly during booking nor when checking in. He apologized and said ‘they would take care of us’. Later that evening, we thought to take advantage of the free drinks at the bar at least.

We often stay at autograph collection hotels and usually have a great experience. However, unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this hotel. We came to stay for one night, our hallway must've been flooded by a rainstorm prior to our arrival. Numerous fans were lined up down the hallway, and the noise was incredibly loud and distracting. Impossible to get any type of sleep. We notified the front desk and they were not helpful. They offered a coupon for a complimentary beverage but even that was an issue. The hospitality here was just not what we received at other autograph collection hotels.

Be aware of the "destination fee!" Lewis greeted us, delivered our luggage to the room, thoroughly explained the room amenities, and even filled our ice bucket. The hotel offers several excellent amenities, including a restaurant, a beautiful outdoor bar, a full-service spa, and a large, well-equipped fitness center. There was also a filtered water station available, although cups were not provided. The pool area was consistently very crowded throughout the weekend, so we chose not to spend time there during our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, there were a few disappointments. The Expedia listing indicated that our room included a balcony, but we were assigned a room without one that overlooked the rooftop. It appeared that many of the other rooms featured balconies with tables and chairs. Additionally, the room was equipped with a beverage cooler rather than a true refrigerator, and it did not keep our drinks sufficiently cold. The room also included a Nespresso coffee machine, which was a nice amenity. However, it was initially placed where it could not be plugged in because there was no outlet within reach, so we had to move it before we could use it.

Everything Restaurant staff needed more people we waited forever for our food then said forget it and when somewhere else ..the Mimosa was horrible our waitress was rude..

The restaurant and bar scene is fantastic. The food and drinks are tasty and well-priced. My kids love the pool, and we love the location. So many great things are walkable.

Rooms were clean and smelled good. We ordered in and the staff was amazing.

Check out was not efficient. Receipt not emailed. Refund of incidentals not given, had to call! Valet parking expensive. No options for self parking provided. Will not stay again at that property!

Beware on charges, we couldnt find close parking space so we had to do valet parking for 182 dollars for 36 hours, they charged 25 dollars 2 times for service then you find you can use it for drinks if you dont use them you loose them, we wanted to use it the 2 day our check out day they didnt alliw it, pool was dirty like black grease all around, and chairs with this black mud as well, nice hotel, but also i found a cockroach in my room.

Loved the atmosphere

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with my stay here. I stayed at property for one night, just before my birthday, while I was in town for the Hospitality Creator Summit. I admit that I arrived before the check-in time time, but I figured that as a Gold Elite member, they'd be able to accommodate an early check-in. I was told by the staff that they would charge me $100 to check me in early, which I denied. It wasn't worth the expense to me. They stored my bag while I went about my early afternoon in San Antonio. Upon returning to the property, my room still wasn't ready, which was frustrating to say the least. I was given a room on a lower floor, which again, was ultimately fine though not preferred. I did really enjoy the Corinne; the staff were very attentive and I loved everything I had to eat/drink. I was cautious because of some of the reviews online, but ultimately was glad I had dinner onsite. The following morning, I guess the hotel checked me out prematurely, because the hotel staff came knowing at my door 4X, even after I had said to come back later. I had to yell through the door multiple times to come back later, as I was getting ready. And that was my stay. So overall, I left disappointed. I had intentionally opted for a nicer hotel to kick off my birthday, and it was very underwhelming for the guest service I received (outside of the Corinne staff of course), particularly as a Gold Elite Marriott Bonvoy member!

This place is hip and very fun! The Corinne restaurant has great food, but the service is very slow! I took my 4 month old malti-poo and he was welcomed so lovingly! They need a pet relief area that is not across the street. The hotel is walking distance to the riverwalk and everything! The staff is so helpful! I lived the stay!

I also loved the overall vibe of the property and how conveniently located it is to enjoy San Antonio. If you’re planning a trip and want a hotel that feels both luxurious and peaceful, I would definitely recommend Plaza San Antonio. I’d gladly stay there again.

Beautiful property close to all the action. Our room was incredibly loud the first night, but the staff quickly found us a quieter room for our toddler the rest of the stay. We did encounter some small issues (tv remote missing, wardrobe light wouldn’t turn off). Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would be back. The staff is stellar.

DO NOT BOOK IF YOU WANT A BALCONY OR PATIO. All pages on hotels.com says includes balcony/patio, and when we arrived , hotel told us its been a “marketing mistake” on the website

The reason for this low rating is the valet service. They parked the car under a tree which left tons of sticky residues on it. When I asked the valet staff, they were very rude and responded that’s how it is and they’re not responsible. Not even an apology, or trying to make it up. Their manager reimbursed one night of valet and I thought that should cover the cost of car wash. I took the car to a premium car wash and the stains didn’t go away. I need to hire professional cleaning to take the stains off and pay double the cost, just because a valet staff didn’t care to look around before parking my car. It’s ridiculous. I have before and after carwash photos and plan to file a complaint with hotel manager next. I’ll update this post after I hear back.

It makes the room much larger yet if you want privacy, you can also close the sliding door but normally you leave it open so the room becomes much larger. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in San Antonio. The location is great also. Close to the River Walk but not filled with tourists walking by your hotel every day like those on the River Walk. We have stayed on the River Walk several times in the past. I much prefer the location of this hotel as it was very private and the outside garden area gave you a feeling of being in a tropical oasis.

Beautiful property! You feel like you are in an oasis. Great bar area outside and the room with balcony was beautiful and welcoming.

The hotel it’s self is amazing but we stayed 2 night and had to pay over 100 in parking soooo keep that in mind 🙃and if we did valet we would have had to pay 60$ per day so probably should have just done valet we just didn’t think the self parking would cost so much lol

Shower head was nasty and crusty

The restaurant food was also surprisingly delicious — everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Dinner was amazing. One of my favorite parts was definitely the pool area. It had such a romantic atmosphere, especially at night, and the water was perfectly warm. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day. The staff truly made the experience even better. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful from check-in to check-out. They were always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, clean, and romantic getaway!

How clean and beautiful it was

Beautiful hotel, valet is pricey around $70.00 per night, but other than that we had a great stay. Lots to do in the area and staff was very friendly.

Hands down a great luxury hotel. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Everyone that you talk to is determined to make your stay as perfect as possible. The room was in perfect condition. Comfortable enough to let our 1 year old walk around. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely stay! I would highly recommend. The restaurant, pool, and spacious outdoor gardens were so beautiful. Our room had a small sitting deck. Next time I want try the spa amenities. Definitely will stay again.

Terrace was never cleaned within 5 days. We received the terrace dirty and it got worse. The asignated golf cart had used cans, bottles and general waste. The airconditioning in the villa is extremely loud. The sofa bed eas not prepared at our arrival. We had to do it by ourselves

We were very impressed with the staff in welcoming us from the valet to the front desk. Once we toured the property my wife and I were amazed at what a great vibe the hotel had. The bars were well stocked and the bartender Justin was very attentive to what we asked for. We also ate dinner at the bar and the chef brought our steak to us personally. We will definitely be back!

Trying to get valet to bring the vehicle up was a 30-1hr wait . The valet parking is $71 plus tax a night not no free parking what so ever . Mind you we are supposed to trust valet with our vehicle/keys they lost 3 guest keys alone and wrecked one’s vehicle. First & last time staying here the property is beautiful but not worth the extra stress.

When arriving check in was smooth and easy. The staff is so enjoyable, everyone was so kind and helpful. Secondly the room was clean, and the bathroom as well! Which is something I am constantly worried about, so it was a relief to be able to relax knowing our environment was clean. Thirdly I'm not sure what scents the hotel uses throughout, but everywhere we went smelt so lovely. We will definitely be returning! Thank you all.

The room was clean and spacious. I had a great view of downtown and The Tower of Americas. Every room has a balcony to relax on. It was in a great walking location to most areas with plenty of nice restaurants around. The pool was heaven and the food and drinks at Anaqua bar were so good! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel.

The bathroom was leaking water out of the shower door when showering. Dusty and tile needs detailed cleaning. The staff was excellent. Did not use the spa. La Villita nearby and plenty of restaurants nearby.
