Motel 6 San Antonio, TX – I-35 North Corridor

Mold infested room, dirty sheets and floor.

Not very pleased, I have to say the front desk staff was pleasant to deal with but were not willing or able to offer any help.. 1st there were roaches in the room, especially under the microwave, as well as other dead ones.. My biggest issue was that the tv did not work, I called the first night n the young man from the front desk came with his"matter termite" to no avail, he said he would probably stop by later to check it and that did not happen, 2nd day was no better as I called the front desk to remind them and told them there was something on tv that I would really like to watch that night, so they sent over their mmaintenance guy , he starts pushing buttons and says he just fixed this one a few days ago and that someone must be messing with the settings, slaps his hand on the counter, obviously frustrated and tells me it's not going to work and leaves. So I walk back to the front desk and asked the young lady what her plan was and she tells me there are no other rooms available and there was nothing she could do..I asked her if they could at least offer me a small discount to which she said that it wasn't possible because it was a reservation(?).. She said maybe I'm my next visit, as if i would ever stay there again.. Drunks and homeless walking around late at night also made for a restless night.. All this after burying my late niece on Friday was too much, normally I just don't go back and don't write reviews but I felt i had to save someone from these situations

Do not do the check in early, they will argue with you that you didn't pay the extra fee through Expedia and won't honor it. Room was clean for the most part, but there was mold in the bathroom and cigarette burns on the quilt. AC, fridge and microwave worked well.

We have been here for a few months now and we have no problems its ver quite here and the staff is nice

The room had moldy looking parts on the wall , the floor was sticky and it had stains. The beds were damped . The toilet seat was dirty with shoe prints on it. The towels had black stains. Didn’t get a full refund still had to pay for 1 night even tho I got a really bad rash from sitting in the bed

They don't have a functional laundry facility, ceiling was leaking awfully in room 108. They didn't give our deposit back after lying and saying they would for days. They also lied to us saying the room needed repairs and they had no kings available for the night. I went back to the room to call and ask and she said she had availability for the night. It was bizarre and ended up costing me an insane amount of money as I was in town without a car so I had to go rent one. Do not trust this place. Mold and roaches also.

I got there at 7pm and they couldn’t find my reservation and had me sitting in the parking lot for over a hour and still didn’t get a room.

First room had to be switched because the outlet was hanging out of the wall exposing electrical wires.

I wanted to try and help get more business for this property, because some of the staff are very friendly, but this is not the place to stay. The price is so cheap, but unfortunately it's just not a very comfortable place to stay. Bring your own personal camera if you stay here, because it is not a trustworthy property.

Great location, location has restaurant and fast food and convenience stores surrounding it It had no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee maker, no laundry room, and no Wi-Fi. They say they have Wi-Fi, but the signal is so weak. You’re not able to use it at all. As the days went by I requested a refrigerator and microwave every day. The manager smarted off to me and said we don’t have time to look for one for you. There’s probably about 120 or 150 rooms at this location you can’t tell me there was not another refrigerator or microwave available. She refused to get me one after 14 days of requesting one. I got one from a room where the air conditioner was broke and they were not going to be using the room. The maid actually let me get it from there. So when the Office found out through their Maintenance man that I did this, they kicked me out of the hotel. They refused to bring me things that were guaranteed in the room as amenities yet when I was able to get it from a room that it’s not going to be used they decided to kick me out. The manager, Mina had the nerve to tell me she had no idea why they were telling me to leave. Finding out from the maids that she is the one that said that not anybody else I worked in the hospitality business for 25 years and I have never had a place. Disregard any kind of request for the amenities that was something required by us to make sure each room had. They also will not have the coke machine filled because they sell sodas in the office for twice as much I had to throw away food, milk, cheese, and many other things because I did not have a refrigerator that they guaranteed to bring me

The cleanliness.

The hotel had small bugs on the floor, but the bed linen and towels were clean. Since I was staying two days I asked for a towel exchange. The person at the desk told me to gather the towels and leave them on the floor and someone would exchange them. I was gone all day at my son’s graduation. The dirty towels were still on the floor by the door. I picked them up and took them to the front desk. I said I was staying another day and wanted clean towels. The person at the desk said they did not provide the service of towel exchange. I told her of the person earlier telling me to gather the towels and leave them by the door on the floor. So I told this person the towels were very dirty. The person at the desk said she would send some to exchange the towels. I was there the rest of the evening but the towels were not exchanged. I will not stay at this motel again. Please advise people to only stay one day here.

Very rude and unhelpful front desk broken ac, tv, microwave, and water stains

This was our stop before the next leg of our trip. Stopped for Sleep and dinner only then back on the hwy. I booked room way in advance based on value and location. It's easy on and off. There is a diner restaurant next to motel. Jim's. Restaurant.(ate there for dinner 3 and half stars) simply walk to Jim's. For whatever reason, there were no trash cans in the lobby or outside hotel. Heck, I didn't even have one in my room. So, I hung on to car trash until I went to McDonald's. I had showered earlier that day and did not use my bathroom shower but i would recommend shower shoes based in my observations. There was some homeless activity near the hotel. Welcome to big city. Hope this helps.

The location was great. Privacy is also great. The maids are awesome. Staff terrible. They refused to give me the things that it said we’re gonna be in my room so the maid service did it for me then they got in trouble. I checked into this hotel on July 12. I have been asking for a refrigerator and a microwave since then. I booked the room because the amenities said there’s a refrigerator and a microwave and a coffee maker in the room and there were none none of those things. It said there’s a laundry room so I went to try to do that. Their laundry room isn’t there. It doesn’t work evidently Wi-Fi doesn’t work. I wasn’t able to use my computer like I wanted. All the things that I checked into a hotel to do I couldn’t do.

The maid service is very good. I give them the dirty towels and they give me replacements. After two weeks of me trying to get the office to give me the microwave and the refrigerator I need so I didn’t have to keep throwing away my milk. They asked me if I wanted to get one from a different room that was empty and I did. They knew I kept asking and asking they kept telling me “you still don’t have one?” well come on and get them if you want. So I did. The location of the hotel is great. Customer service at the hotel is almost nonexistent. They definitely are happy to take your money, but they don’t supply the amenities that they say they do. Over two weeks and I had to find my own refrigerator and microwave from another room through the maids. And you know the maids got in trouble for giving me those. They kept telling me they did not have time to find one.Every time I went downstairs, which was practically every day sometimes every other day, I requested my refrigerator in my microwave. There is no amenities in the room, except the bed and the TV. I had no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee maker, no hairdryer. I forget what else it says they supply. Oh the Wi-Fi does not work 95% of the time. the laundry room nonexistent, they said it didn’t work. And they have no intention of fixing it. The Coke machine has no drinks in it because they charge you for drinks at the front. Good thing there’s a restaurant and fast food and two convenient stores right near the hotel. I have walmart Delivery as well, so I could have anything brought to the door. I don’t have to carry it up.

I waited over three hours for a room, check in was at 3, waited until after 6 and still didn’t have a room.

Theirs nothing I can actually say I don't like

The follow through or compassion of the staff was not there. I had a couple of the maids, even mention it to the office, and I still never got what was promised as part of the amenities.

The walls and floor cracks were very damaged and the laundry room was out of service

Absolutely nothing. Place is a roach coach. Cockroach infested like a sob. Gave me a room with dirty sheets. Dirty towels. Used condom and wrapper in the trash can. Homeless people, drug dealers and dope heads running around outside.

For the price it was fairly decent. If you remember what you paid it would be great

not a good place to stay. not smoke free for us with asthma. room smelled like cigarette the entire stay before of people smoking right outside. sheets have burnt parts? also extremely itchy. restroom had MOLD over the shower head and a light was out. environment also unsafe for ladies traveling alone

close to the gym and lots of food choices in the area, decent place to walk my dog. easy highway access and it felt relatively safe in the area. cockroach infestation! poor communication between the front desk to accommodate for said roaches. just overall very dirty, bed sheets were stained and dirty, floor was filthy, lots of bugs in the room, poop stains on 1 of the towels. was never offered more toilet paper or garbage bags. when i asked for bags i was told no.

Terrible staff, staff refused to give me towels because my towels were “dirty” (only put them on the floor to step on after the shower) no microwave or refrigerator despite paying the difference for them, millions of flies, mold everywhere, cars stolen in the parking lot during my stay, kept my $50 without reason, WiFi never connects and A/C sucked… endless problems made this a miserable stay.

The manager runs a tight, clean operation and it shows in every part of the stay. The rooms were well-kept, the property felt safe, and anytime I had a question or a need, the staff handled it quickly and professionally instead of giving me the runaround. On top of all that, everyone I dealt with was friendly and welcoming — the kind of small, consistent kindness that makes a real difference when you're away from home. It's easy to tell when a location has good leadership, and this one does. The manager clearly holds a high standard for her team, and it shows in how the whole staff treats guests. Highly recommend this location if you need a clean, safe, well-run place to stay in San Antonio.

Overall, ok but need a cleaner sheets, pests and a cleaner bathroom.

the staff was kind and helpful when my card wasn’t working to get into the room but the room itself was dirty. the floor turned my boyfriends socks black and was sticky especially when you walked around after you got out the shower you just felt dirty all over again. there was weird black spots on the wall and ceiling and a lot worse above the shower. definitely won’t be staying here again.

I had a very disappointing experience at this property. The first room provided was poorly maintained and infested with roaches and mosquitoes. While the front desk was responsive and moved me to a second room, that room was also problematic because the shower was not working, which unfortunately prevented me from getting ready for work. I'm not able to recommend staying here given these maintenance and cleanliness issues. VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY :(

The customer service was unprofessional, and there was little concern for guest comfort or satisfaction. I spent my money expecting a decent stay, but instead had a frustrating and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and choose a place that values its guests and provides the basic amenities every hotel should offer.

The motel 6 in question is literally next to, and below I-35 near San Antonio. I had no ear protection so it was a Sleepless Night for me. 3 cockroaches in the bathroom area kept my wife up worrying about what other creepy-crawlies might be around. At 1 AM the smoke detector let us know its battery was running low, by sending out a piercing BEEP every 30 seconds. 2 AM, feral cats had a breeding fight and frenzy. Local dogs joined in by woofing. If you want peace, you won't find it at this particular motel 6.

Clean room no laundry staff was rude

Absolutely awful!! Don’t stay here!! We walked into the first room they gave us and there were dog foot prints all over the bed. We went and asked for a new room …walked in to that room and the bed again had dirt all over it! The staff was SO rude about it. The lady told us to leave ..she didn’t even offer to change the sheets, she just said to get out and go somewhere else but that we would not get a refund. This place is sketchy too! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!

Laundry was broken so I had no way to get my close clean

my family and me got three rooms they were all supposed to have microwave and refrigerator not all rooms did the beds were supposed to be queens they weren't they didn't have hot water there were roaches crawl I the microwave and refrigerator the toilet seat was broke there was Holes in the wall the showers were nasty had hair everywhere and there was hair on one of the beds when we walked in they came by the room to see if we needed towels or anything this was the worst trip I've ever took would not recommend this place STEAR CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!

We have staid here over a week and have trouble getting clean towels and ask about the laundry and were told nothing I found it on my own it’s been quiet and the room is clean but it has paint that was not finished and the bathroom door will not close and is broken but other than that everything has been ok

The room smelled of animal urine

We were made 3hrs to check in bc the room was being cleaned, then when we finally got into the room, the floor was filthy, making walking around filthy, the linen was stained, there was no microwave in the room like the amenities stated and our fridge froze everything (the dial was broken). The door latch was loose, the ac was cracked and making odd noises, there were holes all over the room and the tv was damaged as well. We were there for two weeks and had to ask the staff and housekeeping for fresh linen over 6x before we got any. We eventually got free linen the night before we checked out. There were also a lot of crime reported around the hotel and we heard gunshots quite a few nights in a row, and there were homeless making a ruckus all around the property. We will not be staying here again.

The walls throughout the room showed obvious signs of neglect. There were water stains, peeling paint, discoloration, damaged baseboards, and areas that appeared to have ongoing moisture issues. Behind the desk and around the perimeter of the room, the walls looked deteriorated and poorly maintained. The condition of the room gave the impression that repairs had been postponed for a very long time. The furniture also showed wear and tear, and the overall appearance of the room felt outdated and neglected. What concerned me most was that these issues were visible in multiple areas of the room rather than being isolated incidents. The biggest problem was the air conditioning. The AC unit repeatedly shut off by itself, making the room uncomfortable. I reported the issue and was informed that maintenance would come to inspect it. However, even after waiting more than 30 minutes, nobody arrived. There was no follow-up, no update, and no effort to resolve the issue during my stay. Between the dirty bedding, visible water damage, poor room condition, malfunctioning AC, and lack of maintenance response, the experience was far below expectations.

I rented a room for 5 nights didn't hv a fridge our a microwave called the front desk said they will put them in the next day by 12 noon,never showed up called them ask what was going on our could we switch rooms said they was fully booked so no fridge and said we could use the microwave in the front lobby worst stay ever mind you our room was on the 3rd floor microwave in the lobby the only thing good is the water pressure everything else needs to be up dated i highly recommend you not stay

I turned the light on and saw about 15 roaches scatter. I did not want to get under the covers and stayed less than an hour before making the 4 hr trip back to Dallas.

No refrigerator or microwave even though it was listed. Got the wrong number of beds. Bugs. No one would help us move rooms. When we did finally move rooms smelled like cat urine and they refused to move us even though I’m allergic to cats.

It’s what you get for your money. I stayed about 3 weeks trying to find an apartment and I wouldn’t come back. They took pets and I have a cat which is why I stayed. I asked and paid for a room with a microwave and refrigerator and never got one. I was lied to 3 times about getting one. It was pretty quiet though. I wouldn’t consider it the safest but overall it was decent.

The room has a very limited AC outlets, even for their own appliances. The refrigerator is and microwave actually were using a single outlet. You could use one or the other but not both. I moved them both across the to another unused outlet, so the could both be plugged in at the same time. The shower head will not point downward properly. I-35 seems to be under a state of permeant repair, causing traffic problems. Positives: AC works really well. The local is in the heart of a Restaurant Mecca. Babe's, Dee Willie's BBQ, Jack in the box, and McDonald's are very close, but the traffic prohibits walking safely. Jim's Restaurant is right in the parking lot. Walmart is 2.3 miles away and Sam's Club is the next exit on I-35. Lowe's Home Improvement is behind McDonald's. There are about several Tesla Level 3 EV chargers with 3 miles. I didn't look any further than Tesla, sorry. Walmart parking lot has a Laundry mat that takes clothing on consignment. (Of Coarse you can do the Laundry yourself or they wash, dry, and fold it for you.)

Did not get a microwave in my room. No HBO or none of that. No coffee in Lobby. Just the bar minimum. Also the shower was cold.!!

Door lock didnt work…constantly going to office for keys that didnt work. Had to get maintance man to unscrew the window for me to access my room. Friend tried to pay for the day and was told the room had been already paid for next 2 days…which was incorrect and due to checking out late…$50 deposit wasnt refunded. One washer and dryer onsite that didnt work. No refrigerator in room. Someone had to constantly be in the room to be able to access room. Daytime front desk lady is very rude and unprofessional. I wont subject myself to this dive again and endure the rudeness and disrespect for any price.

The room unfortunately had bugs and random flies throughout my stay, which made it uncomfortable. Housekeeping also never changed my towels even after they were left out to be replaced. Staff was polite, but the cleanliness and housekeeping consistency definitely need improvement.

Dirty. My white socks were literally jet black from a few minutes of walking around. People were fighting and dealing drugs in the parking lot. Every bed sheet or towel was dirty and had stains. Room smelled, random hair on sheets. Stains on the wall. Shower smelled. Sleeping in a warzone would be more adequate

It brought back memories when I was a kid I lived in the hood there were roaches ghetto ppl everywhere and drug use everywhere and the room had black mold

I was very disappointed in this place … I made reservations online ahead of time I get to the location just to be told they don’t have the room I booked they only have double beds and made me pay more money to get the 2 queens beds on top of a deposit… Then I get to the room it’s on the third floor it’s very hot a humid up there then the room had no fridge or microwave like the room I originally booked very upset about that couldn’t even heat up my kids food then to top it off the towels were dirty the sheets had stains on them the pillows were thin as paper and the shower was filthy with hair I. Them and the soap wrapper was on the floor and wet toilet paper behind the restroom door… I was very upset and unsatisfied would not recommend

The room was Not clean pain was coming the wall and restroom ceiling was full of mold over Tv was not working talk front desk to get a different room and said next day will get something but never did or fix the tv . I left I was trying to leave cancel but they said they couldn’t do anything because I booked through Experian they kept my deposit as well they crooks .

Rooms were a little musky the service was terrible. Horrible attitudes from the moment we walked into the front office. Accidentally cancelled 2nd night of booking and they wouldn't work with us / made us repay for the entire second night and still have us the same exact room without cleaning it up at all even. Smh
