The hotel is conveniently located near the convention center and downtown activities, with some guests praising the friendly staff and cleanliness. However, many guests have complained about the dirty rooms, broken amenities, and poor communication from staff. The parking fee was also a common complaint, with guests feeling it was too high and not clearly communicated.

The room was very nice and good sized. The beds were comfortable and overall, very clean. Double charge for parking, At Check in they took $100 extra out for incidentals' and advised that the parking fee would be taken out of this on checkout, then that night I received notice they had charged an additional fee for parking separate from the original check in amount. The pool had some draw backs, having a child with us and then having people in the pool itself drinking and eating and then the hot tub filled with small children.

The room was nice, The AC in the room didn’t work as good as it could have been especially considering it’s still 100+ in Texas. The 10-10 pool hours are NOT ideal considering it’s a Saturday! Staff could do a better job at maintaining the Breakfast area,

The pool and spa was nasty, milky dirty water, no towels even when we asked twice and bunch of drunk people and kids running like chicken with no head!!! The worst part is the hide fees, destination fees?? Travelers fees?? Extra parking fees even when they own the parking lot and you have to park on red line since it was overcrowded!!! Front desk was rude, if you ask questions the “guy” with nasty loooong nails told me,,, if you have questions check our website !!! And that’s it !!

I was very upset that we had to pay parking at the hotel ($35.00) per day. I understand its downtown but they should mention that on the advertisement. Also we went to a concert came back to hotel around 12:30 am and they blocked the parking. So we went inside the hotel asked why was the parked blocked. All they told us there is parking across the street. (Denny's) We went to Denny's to ask them if we could park they said we had to pay. So we did the whole mobile parking thing. ($37.00) At end of the day we got a refund on the parking from the hotel. This happened to other people that night.

Breakfast was always too full. No seating area. It was also the same thing everyday. That was a plus when I booked to save on one meal a day but buy the second day we were over the sausage. The muffins could have hanged. We went to the pool on the last day and no security people were jumping in andrunni h around. The worse part was the pullout bed was so old it was so uncomfortable for my daughter. You all need new ones. The place is nice not to expensive but they catch you on the 37 dollar daily parking. Great thing it's right by the river. Would i stay here again probably not unless I could not find another place. Tell you one thing the Ac is amazing super cold!

The room was a good size and comfortable enough. I have one gripe though. I have allergies and apparently all of the rooms are pet friendly. They don't reserve any rooms for people with allergies, keeping them pet free. So I suffered a bit. Also, there was a nasty stain on the bed spread. Plus, we paid for parking and came home late one night to find the parking lot full. Had to find and pay for parking elsewhere. But they did credit the parking charge for that night. Just an inconvenience when you come home late tired and have to go wandering around for parking that you already paid for. The breakfast was basic but well presented with lots of workers keeping things stocked. Good coffee. All in all, it's a good value for the price. Very convenient location. But I cannot stay there again due to no allergy free rooms.

Breakfast was good. They had so many waffle makers plus the staff was pretty good on refilling fast. The first night our ac wasn’t cooling after calling twice they managed to fix it. There were so many people in and out I understood the tardiness on fixing the issue but it got done after the second time. The staff was very nice and understanding. The pool was a hit. Very spacious and lots of seating areas. The location is perfect to be able to walk right down to the river walk and many other locations without the hassle of paying for parking or looking for parking. Convenience is this hotel. The only down side is I wish they had bigger pillows they were very small and not so fluffy and the carpet could use some better management but over all not too bad. I wouldn’t mind staying again in the future.

BEWARE of EXTRA CHARGES once you check out ( SORT AND READ REVIEWS FROM LOWEST RATING SEE A LOT OF PPL HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME SCAM, WISH I WOULD OF SEEN THAT BEFORE BOOKING IN THIS HORRIBLE PLACE.) As for us we were charge a "smoking fee" of $500+ , and we DON'T even smoke NOR have EVER smoked due to medical reasons which we CAN PROVE and we also had our little daughter in the room with us. Apparently they have "faulty sensors" in their rooms that measure the air for any smoking/vaping etc. What should of been a relaxing trip during hard times turned out to put even worse hardship on our family with this SCAM CHARGE. We asked for the receipt at check out & were told by staff expedia would send it since we booked thru them, we were never told of these extra scam charges they would be doing we found out once we got home. Staff will not help you they would just say that's what sensor marked and there's nothing they can do. Cleaning staff helpless i asked for 1 extra shampoo toiletry she said she "couldn't" find any in her cart and then proceeds to give me a used shampoo bottle from a room she cleaned i guess. It went straight to the trash, what a joke. Update your faulty sensors this is beyond unacceptable. Also one of my hair clips went missing yes i know a hair clip. Will never stay here or at any La Quintas ever again.

There was a musty smell in the room, like there had been a water leak at one time. The room needs upgrade; the commode is an old product; it is very low & inside around it has turned dark. The countertop is also VERY low, making the sink inconvenient. The water for bathing was not hot, only slightly warm. We were told the views would be the pool; it was not. Also, the laundry room is next door & well after 11:00 PM family using the Dryer made noise like something hitting the wall & was disturbing in our time of resting for the night. A sign needs to be in the laundry room to not use after 9:00 or 10:00 PM. The ice machine on the 3rd floor (above ours) did not work properly only giving very little ice. The one on the 9th floor did not work at all. Didn't understand why the house keeping was not done every day.

Rudely talked to me, never even looked at me, and was so rushed that I didn't understand a lot of what he said. Furthermore, the $36 parking fee is absolutely ridiculous. I feel like they advertise free buffet breakfast but then charge you for it with an expensive parking fee! We won't go back.

The room was not the cleanest. It was very muddy if we turned the AC down. The carpet/floor felt damp. There are no kid friendly channels on the TV. We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel was very clean, there was always an employee cleaning something. Whether it was wiping something down, cleaning the floors, cleaning up outside. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was a little cloudy, but it also had a lot of people in it. The breakfast had plenty of options and tasted delicious. They had TONS of waffle irons to make waffles which was amazing. We were able to walk to the riverwalk for lunch and it was roughly 30 minutes to get to SeaWorld. We will definitely book here again for our next San Antonio trip!

Breakfast is subpar. It would be much better if the hotel offered different menu each day to provide guests with more variety during their stay. The pool opens a little bit late. It would be great if the opening time of the pool will be changed from 10:00am to 8:00 am. This would allow some guests who are staying for few nights to enjoy the pool before checking out. During the summer, starting at 10:00 am is quite hot already making it less comfortable to swim.

To make matters worse, there was no parking available when we arrived, despite it being advertised. We had to drive around and find street parking, which was inconvenient, especially while traveling with a baby. The cleanliness of the room was also unacceptable. There was visible mold, the toilets were not properly cleaned, the bathroom sink was dirty, and there was garbage behind the TV that had clearly been left by a previous guest. The room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. Between the poor customer service, lack of concern for families with young children, lack of available parking, and unsanitary room conditions, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend this property, especially to anyone traveling with children.

The restroom was clean, although the sink drained slowly. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was very basic. The options were scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee, orange or apple juice, apples, bananas, and bread for toast. I've definitely had better hotel breakfasts. Parking is $36 per night. At first I was upset it wasn't included, but after staying there, I understood why. The location is excellent if you're visiting the River Walk. Everything was within walking distance, and I never had to move my car. I visited several places, and paying for parking at each one would have cost more than the hotel parking fee. For $79 a night, I think it was a good value. The beds were small but comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, and the AC worked amazingly well, which was a huge plus in the Texas heat.

The room definitely needed a handy man for maintenance. Bathroom tile was cracking away from wall. Restroom did not have an actual door. Just some sort of shutter door. No lock. Hard to keep kids out for privacy. Staff was nice, but in training so service was slow. Breakfast had a nice assortment, but not enough waffle batter to handle the amount of people for breakfast. Ice machines were only on every odd numbered floor. We were located on an even floor. Traveling with small children for vacation is already difficult enough. While room was nice and cool, I would rather try out another hotel for our next visit.

Place was more than I expected at such an affordable rate. Staff was helpful and friendly (upgraded my room for free because they ran out of the room type I reserved before I arrived). Close to just about everything, comfortable room and bed, cold AC, good free breakfast. Only drawback was the pot stench in the bathroom - but that seems to be an unfortunate common factor with just about every hotel these days....

The A/C was not working well, it was so hot and very uncomfortable but it was too late to ask for a different room. We did tell the front desk the next day and they sent someone to go work on it but it did not help, so they did give us another room that was better. They did ask for unexpected fees which I thought were all included when I booked it. We paid $72 for parking, destination fee, recovery fee. It was ridiculous.
