La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Airport

It was so easy to check in and check out. Everyone in the staff was so polite and helped with any questions we had. It even had a nice pool area! Breakfast was always fresh and delicious every morning and it had a ton of great options so we never left hungry. The room itself was very comfortable and was enough space for just the two of us and our stuff. The location of the hotel was perfect too, it was only a few minutes away from a lot of stuff! The ride over and back had some loops, but that's natural in San Antonio.

I made reservations on the website. Apparently it was done thru Expedia. I never got a confirmation ,so I called the hotel . They said nothing was reserved for me . A day later I checked my credit card statement and I was charged a night. I don’t know why they will do that when I was told they couldn’t find a reservation for me . I did not cancel or I was not a no show. Expedia said Ilthe hotel should issue the refund and the hotel said it should be expedia. I am very disappointed and frustrated that both parties are absolutely blaming each other at my expense

The elevator was dirty, and the entrance and smoking area were not well maintained. There were cigarette butts all over the ground, which was unpleasant and honestly quite disgusting. I think the hotel could provide a better-designated smoking area and make sure it is cleaned regularly. The breakfast also could use more variety. The options were somewhat limited and became a little boring. Overall, the room cleanliness was good, but the common areas, smoking area, and breakfast selection could definitely be improved to make the overall guest experience better.

Hotel was very run down compared to posted pics. Basically staying at an overpriced Motel 6. Staff was very kind and friendly though.

This is my third time staying in this hotel but the last time I stayed was over 3 years ago. We go to San Antonio multiple times a year and decided to give it another try because the location is great. However, this past time we stayed was horrible. The first room we got was disgusting. Sofas dirty, floor looked like it wasn’t swept. There was tags of clothing everywhere and I had a baby who crawls, which made it a choking hazard. The restroom was gross, I understand if a hotel is outdated but this one was just DIRTY! The rolling chair by the desk was so dirty like if someone did their makeup and was wiping their hands full of foundation on the armrest. I got a wipe and it came off, I didn’t even have to try which meant the room was barley even cleaned. The front desk did give me another room which I appreciate and it was okay. but overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. the only thing that was mid was the breakfast. We only stayed for one night but we were in San Antonio for three days, we ended up going somewhere else. Listen to the reviews about this place being not only outdated but gross, filthy.

The towel holder hook near the shower was broken and pieces were found on floor. The breakfast service, while far-ranging, was overrun by hotel guests who created a mess for other guests. Many guests were rude to hotel staff who were trying to keep pace with greedy guests.

Had a good stay here walls are a little thin I can hear people talk but during the night it was very quiet. Breakfast was good just that it didnt change like other hotels that switch it up a bit but this one's main items were eggs and sausage usually other hotels change it up and do eggs and bacon this one didnt. But other than that everything was good I'd stay here again

The gym hours were limited so that it was very hard to actually use the gym and we did have a small issue with spiders in our room

I have stayed at this hotels several times. It's close to restaurants and stores. The room was clean and the a/c worked great. However, it wasn't as clean as it should be in other areas.. Cigarette butts in front of the entrance driveway, constant water leak in lobby in front of desk. The ice machine on 4th floor wasn't working and that area smelled bad.

I would never stay here again and would tell anyone and everyone not to stay. When checking in, the front desk agent told us to hold on, while she played on her phone for 10 minutes and then said “now I can help you.”

The room smelled musty. The air conditioning barely worked. The breakfast area was very messy. The sheets felt wet and gross. The pool chairs are worn out. The pool itself looked green. I am never staying there again.

Entering the room it smelled of mildew. There was black mold on the curtains and a/c vents. The toilet is stained. The closet that contained the microwave and refrigerator was dirty. The microwave was clean. The breakfast of eggs, pancakes and sausage was good. If Wyndham is going to purchase these old properties, they should rehabilitate them up to par. The pictures on the website are deceiving. Roaches was discovered by many guests with no efforts of providing extermination service. The dead roaches remained in the hallways by the exterior doors. The hallway way rugs was extremely dirty.

The property has obviously not been maintained as it should be. Saw hanging wires, a door that looked as it was kicked in, elevators were not working properly, etc. Took 15 minutes to get extra towels at the front desk. Smelled heavily of smoke. During breakfast trashcans were over flowing.

It has no doggie amenities although you can tell that was their intention at onetime. They have an old pet bag stand which they’ve quit refilling and there are many poop piles left behind on minimal patches of grass. Still, Im thankful they allow us to bring our doggie. It looks like they do a pretty good job of cleaning the basics 🙏 but they are very careful not to do deep cleaning (toilets could be scrubbed inside, floors are at least swept but probably not mopped, clean linens and towels are appreciated, it would be nice to have another roll of TP available in the room, the hairdryer should be checked out as it burned my toiletry bag and melted plastic bags in it, the microwave isn’t working, The staff are extremely busy but friendly and try to be helpful; some are apparently overworked and feel pressured. The pool water looks green and unsafe but we see groups continue to use it. You can see an attempt to modernize the guest rooms, that’s appreciated. The rooms remain filled with well used but clean looking furnishings and I’m totally fine with that. The rooms are not sound proof but I did not find it disturbing. Just know that everything you say in a normal voice can probably be heard in the hallway. I appreciate the free breakfast, the pet friendly statement, the 24 hour notice of cancellation (although I noticed the manager is conveniently not available to make those reservation changes), free parking.

Rooms and public areas were clean. All in room in condition, except hand soap dispenser in bathroom. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Breakfast could be better.

We stayed twice in a week, the first time was good, we had the room we reserved and took the shuttle to the airport. When we left, I told the desk that when we returned it would be after midnight and they made a note of it. The day of our second stay, I called in the middle of the day to check my reservation and remind them that I was going to be very late. When we checked in, we were given a room with two small beds instead of the king that we reserved. The woman that worked the desk was rude and indifferent to our problem.

We enjoy staying at this location when flying out from the S A airport as it is so easy to get to the airport. Shuttle service is also available. Breakfast is always plentiful with many choices.

The room was supposed to be handicap accessible. It was just barely wheelchair accessible. One person had to step out into the hall in order for the wheelchair to move from one side of the room to the other. It was very inconvenient and difficult.

I have never written a complain about any hotel stays ever. And we had stayed there before but for the first time i think none of us had a nice stay. The sofa bed was super old and you can feel every single spring. And on the king size bed it was also an old bed. You can fell the whole from where everyone has been in that bed for years. Now i get I’m sleeping in a hotel where a lot of people stay. I know. But never the less there is a time where things need to be replace. And i also get its not a five star hotel, but it does need some work done in those places. Other than that everything was great

Hard floors, non carpet. Pool was kind of dirty, children playing at the hot tub.

The hotel is in need of an update. The smell when I walked into the lobby is an old smell.the panel withthe buttons in the elevator was loose, someone had scratched names on the inside of the elevator door, the hallway was hot, the window in my room had lip/face marks all over it, my room smelled like mildew. I felt like I smelled like the room when I left the next day.

The commode was not cleaned for months. It had so much mold.

Employees were kind and helpful. Traveling on business and my stay was only one night. The hotel is a little dated and appears to be somewhat renovated. The breakfast was plentiful and maintained.

Very good for overnight for early flight

For the stay it was okay, but the shower was dirty and so was the pool. The elevator floor had a whole in it and one of the wall sockets had a piece of metal in it. But besides that everything else seemed pretty good !

Nice clean room, great location at the airport, and they offer airport parking for a low fee. My only problem was the air conditioner fan was on continuously; I couldn't shut it off, and it was cold! I had to turn on the heat to get the room to warm up on a 90 degree day!!

The hotel was convenient to the airport and downtown! There weee minimal food options available, but many restaurants within a few miles. There was a leaking ice machine, but a minor issue. Overall, a well priced option!

THE PROPERTY WAS WELL MAINTAIN EXCEPT THE ROOM WAS NEVER CLEAN THE 3 NIGHT STAY WE WERE THERE. THE EXHAUST FAN WAS LOUD AND HAD TO BE DISCONNECTED AND THE TOILET FLUSH WAS LOUD AS WELL.

They advertise room service but it is a hoax. If you call they will charge you $5 just to connect you to Grubhub or similar, then they charge you more for the food than the menu advertises plus another extra if you want to pay with card over the phone. It seems like a fraudulent way to get extra cash from you, they should just say call grubhub, doordash or similar on your own. When I told front desk they nodded in understaning, they know this is not right, and they offered free drink and snack from their poorly stocked little shop.
