La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Market Square

Location An item was stolen from my room. I notifed staff the day it happened. Got a call from the manager weeks later just to ask repeated questions I had answered and she never called back with resolution.

Hotel was quiet and convenient for us to get a quick bite ! It was a one night stay liked the quick check in and out

Mikel was absolutely awesome at her job, she made me at home. She went above and beyond to correct the mistake booking made with the amount of days I needed. She made sure I had a the comforts of home! Available bathroom in the lobby would help, and maybe scrambled eggs instead of boiled.

I liked the stay but me and my boyfriend experienced a bad smell in the room for the 3 days there we figured out were the smell came from the Aircondition is leaking water inside the room on the carpet so it has a bad mold damp smell I couldn’t stand the smell it was horrible

it’s near the touristic area at downtown and the price-quality relation is very good, also love the texas shape waffles that was the best. once they didn’t clean our room, i don’t know if the forgot or something, but we did a report the day after and the response was really quick.

Very clean room and convenient to walk to the Market Square as well as Mi Tierra Restaurant.

We stayed 4 days 3 nights and they never emptied the trash nor they made our beds or cleaned anything. we had to ask for extra towels and all the used towels stayed on the floor all the time we were there. Very nice and helpful staff but the cleaning leaves something to be desired.

The room was good. The staff was awsome!

The location is convenient and close to the River Walk and other downtown attractions, which is the biggest advantage of this hotel. However, the property itself needs significant improvement. The outside is dirty, the rooms are outdated, the bathtub paint is peeling, and there was hair left in the bathroom. It doesn’t seem like much pride is taken in providing clean, well-maintained rooms. The hotel was also noisy during my stay. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place in a great location, it may be worth considering, but don’t expect cleanliness or updated accommodations.

Breakfast is good. Only that they should provide water to drink in the room but overall good.

The staff does a good job with what they have to work with. Be careful with the domestic hot water temperature. I almost got scalded because the shower valve stems did not control correctly. The breakfast offering was very crowded with inadequate seating space.

room was dirty, both sink and shower drains were clogged and the water would just stay. Brought this up to the front desk and there was nothing they could do to fix the situation.

Carpet was torn right inside our hotel room door. We left for a little bit to come back to flyers that were some how slid under our door, really not sure how they got in there.

I honestly don't know how this hotel gets decent reviews. I think it must be the proximity to downtown because it is easy to get downtown. The property is old and run down. Beds were decent and the rooms block noise from nearby rooms, but the other guests have no regard for how loud they are when they are outside of their rooms. People use the pool all hours of the night even though it's supposed to close at 10 pm. The A/C is loud and smells bad/musty. Breakfast choices are mediocore and the eating area is small. I would not stay here again.

This place is very old. The room had not been updated since the 1970's. The bathtub was so gross, we would not use it. I will never stay there again.

Clean room helpful staff

The location and staff were excellent. The place could use some cleaning but this place was perfect for what we needed and they gave us a crib to use and extra pillows with no issues. Great one night stay and AC worked perfectly.

The AC in room 118 never really cooled the room had to run and by a fan to help circulate the air but over night it ended cooling but probably because the room was facing the west side and yes that weekend of our stay was extremely hot

The building looks outdated, but it’s clean and well maintained. The breakfast area wasn’t adequate and felt cramped, I ate my breakfast standing.

Room was okay. It’s just outdated and needs some attention to detail in cleaning. Perfect location if you want to be close to the river walk and the market square. The pool was fun. All in all, decent place but very outdated hotel.

Travel with trailer, was told hotel would be at full capacity. Checked at 2:00 a.m. total over 20 yes I said vacant slots. Was told never to come back with trailer. I stay at various LA Quintas every other weekend. STAFF NEEDS TO TO ACCOMMODATE TRAVELERS.

Was a little nervous about staying downtown. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the hotel !! Comfortable bed, ac worked great . Was overall good experience. You need to be prepared to leave a 50$ deposit

The check in was ok, he didn’t make it seem inviting, just there to do his job. The room was clean but very small. The outside of the hotel seemed rough maybe power wash the outside or repaint it. We were nervous going inside but it was fine.

For the price I could have found a better place.

Doesn't look good. The water used to clean the table in the room was smelling (maybe the cleaning liquid I am not used to). But it was ok for the price of the room. Loved the stay overall. Really grateful for free parking there. [My card shows the room is charged 2 times. The person during check-out told me it will be resolved. I hope it does.]

Not a very clean room. Small roaches in room

The room was clean, better than I expected because the outside of building need some serious help. The staff was good. The air conditioning was great. The bathroom was tiny. You can't fart without everyone hearing you. No privacy in that area so restroom gets zero stars.

A bit run down, but was good for the price and location. Staff was super nice. Pool was good and clean. No complaints overall. Neighborhood was a bit shabby and perhaps that made this feel "less than"

Great stay for the price. The property is fairly outdated but very clean. Walking distance from activities, parking on site, and a good breakfast.

Staff was awesome, room was nice and tidy. Was to old after asking about eggs for breakfast that only cold boiled eggs were available. Had a hard time getting the controls/hot/cold water to cooperate to get a hot shower. Eventually figured it out. .

Staff very friendly and the rates are very affordable. Room was clean. It is an older hotel socdont expect glamour, but just needs a room for a couple of nights in walking distance to Market Square in San Antonio. Will stay again.

Friendly Staff, clean room

Hotel room was not in a building. Room was outside making it easier for someone to break in. Outdoor noise could be heard in the room. Room was very old and smelled musty. Bathroom was very small. I could hardly fit in there. Room needed upgrades. TV was very small. There were not enough electrical wall plugs to charge the phones. Breakfast was continental breakfast compared to other La Quinta hotels.

The location was perfect for us. It is right across the street from Mi Tierra Restaurant and Market Square. It seems like an "older" motel but the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was great.

There are roaches roaming around. First day I opened the door of refrigerator roach was hanging out there. In the bathroom also I saw two. K

I loved that this place was in the heart of downtown San Antonio. Made it possible to just park my car and walk around. I got in a little late so, I didn't take advantage of much of the amenities, just parking. They had one of the "better" pet policies in town so, I went with them based on that. Though, I did come across some roaches in the room :( You can't win em all.

I love you so much. I’m due back in September of this year. It’s in a perfect place. The rooms are really clean and I think they’ve been updated. I just wouldn’t be able to stay in any other place. It’s reasonable prices. Good parking be going to the market Square. The staff is very friendly.

The room was clean and cold. Fluffy towels. I was able to park right next to the room. It had a nice nostalgic feel. Gabriel was TIO and the other worker was Cuh. The breakfast was good. Check in and check out was easy. The goodwill is caddy corner. Market square has strong drinks I’m told. The location is great. The highway is right there and if you like to walk and explore it’s easy. The goodwill is caddy corner to the property. We saw a punk show down the street. There’s coffee in the room and in the lobby. I will probably exclusively stay there when I visit San Antonio. I was able to watch music videos from the tv thru you tube. It was vibes.

The minute I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile. Everyone was extremely friendly and very helpful. Room was clean. AC was set so we couldn’t change it but, it was still comfortable. I will say the water pressure was amazing! The breakfast area wasn’t real big so we just took our food to the room. I will definitely stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Air conditioning was cold, showers were warm and bed comfy. You're paying for the location. Directly across from Market Square and a short stroll to Riverwalk. Free parking and breakfast. Needs a freshen up, but it was exactly as advertised and perfectly fine for a short vacation.

I honestly didn't go to the breakfast since it was in front of the hotel and we were way in the back.
