La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Lackland

Very sketch, run down and falsely advertised. Did not look like the photos at all. Looked like a run down hole in the wall where bad things happen. Def a last resort like absolute last resort

None Unprofessional staff. Key card kept not working. We'd be out in the heat, tired trying to get in, and their keys kept not working. They try to pass the blame to us, saying we get it demagnetize from our phone's, which is untrue, because we don't even put it near our phone's and we travel almost every week for business, never happened to our key cards. Also, one of the worse experience is them doing power wash on stairs and grounds, which put a lot of hard water stains all throughout our cars. We informed the office and we were told sorry. Not even a, here's $1 to compensate for getting your car professionally washed. We should've listened to the bad reviews of other's, instead, it proved itself why the bad reviews.

Nothing. It was filthy and the manager asked me to sleep with my door unlocked bc the lock was broken. There was a dead bug on the bed, men’s pubic hair in the shower, dried up rag behind the TV stand. DISGUSTING. It was not clean and did not feel safe.

Absolutely nothing The property is very run down I walked into the room I booked and paid for and the ac was clanking really loud and walls were disgusting and patches like someone had put a hole in wall and they just patched it. There were several doors leading to my room with no door knobs or entry pads. It looked like it was a construction site or needed to be worked on. The pool beside our room was completely empty and disgusting. Lamp posts around it were all bent over.

I liked that the staff was helpful however we did not enjoy our stay at all. Musty smell upon entry, the entire room was dirty, nothing looked like it was up to date with the photos on their page. The room was very much in need of repairs. It definitely looked like it was minimally cleaned and kept in the condition that the previous guests left it as. Also, I didn’t like that the area around the hotel felt very unsafe and not protected at all. The only reason we picked this location for our stay was due to the fact that it was close to the military base entrance.

Terrible experience

The only thing that i liked is the location. Besides that nothing else. The room was dirty, the tv remote was broken, when you walked in the bathroom, water would come out of the floor’s tile’s when you step in them. The bed sheets are so old that we’re see through. The room has bugs. The paint in the bathroom door is peeling off. There was stuff coming out of the baseboards. It had spider webs and dust. The breakfast that was included was not good either.

Good staff. The guy switched us rooms when we told them we had issues with our first room. But the rooms has issues with mold, bugs, water leaking, stained walls. Breakfast was alright. A/C was AMAZING.

This is a very old building that seems neglected. Paint was peeling from the wall & ceiling in the bathroom. The toilet wouldn’t flush completely so we had to use the one in the lobby. The linens on one bed were stained. This was the 2nd room that they put us in. This one smelled clean & the floors/sink/shower were all clean. The first room smelled of cigarette smoke & they had no trouble finding a different room for us. The staff was very nice.

Nothing absolutely nothing There was a dead rat outside my kids door. Their room had roaches. They stole my daughters dress from the closet. Moved them to a second room ac didn't work. Had to move them to a third room and tv didn't work. Shower heads were so calcified barely pushed water out of them. Need made a popping sound with every movement. Parking lot looks like bombs have been testing in it. Just a total shit shack.

I did not like the hotel that is why I canceled the staying.

I was visiting my son in the military. The whole place is awful! Disgusting The toilets was nasty and the outside of the hotel was bad and not clean. A lot of ppl was very disappointed

Great stay

I arrived to find my two rooms booked were in separate buildings. I booked one for adults and one for kids so that would not work. The desk clerk allowed me to cancel same day with no charges. Expedia refunded the money. Would definitely try to stay there again knowing they would make things right.

Clean room

I didn’t like that I was billed two times for one night and they were supposedly trying to recover my money but it wasn’t going through. They sure did scam me. But I have made a labor review report and someone will be reaching out to this particular motel. Supposedly my credit card didn’t get authorized on their behalf but I was billed for it in my bank statement two times.. never again at a La Quinta by windham.

Poorly maintained

I would not recommend staying here, even though it's close to base nothing worked in the room. The fridge was stinky and didn't work. The blow dryer didn't work. The shower and ac leaked. The faucet was barely hanging on. The volume on the tv didn't work and we could barely hear it.

Had to wait over 12 hours for tv remote. Stayed 3 nights 4 days they didn't change linen. Housekeeping was sorry. It's convience to the Air Force Base was excellent.

The hotel room smelled terrible and the air conditioner was super loud and dripped water everywhere, I honestly stay there because it's pet friendly but there were lots of people in the pool getting drunk and playing loud music after the designated time and no one came to ask them to lower their voices or stop being so disruptive.

this is not a 3 star property we got fooled by the rating from expedia, room was stinking and lots of small insects and oven was with left over food from previous guests. Very horrible experience

Was there for Air Force graduation and the room was right near the base; which was a great benefit. The room was clean and accommodating. When I checked in, I was told breakfast would start at 4 am due to the graduation, but when I got there at 4:15 breakfast was not out, just coffee.

People in the pool all night. Door was broke at the bottom so got all kinds of bugs ( roaches, knats). No internet service.Please don’t go by the pictures they are miss leading. No families should have to go through what my family had to endure for 2 days. So disappointed.

Didn't get the room that was reserved. This will be the last time I give my business to La Quinta. Small shower area. Look like someone spit chewing tobacco on the upper corner of the door by the hinges. Arrived at check in time 3pm room was already taken. It was a handicap room. That's it for us.

The room was excellent except for the size of the shower. The outside looks rundown and bad. The room was super nice and totally remodeled.

It is what it is. I wanted a place as close as possible to the AF base and this is what I got. It’s not a hotel, it’s a motel where your door opens directly to the outside. I will say the room and bed were clean and well kept. The shower was extremely small and you can’t adjust the shower head. There was no TV. The tv turned on, it’s just there was no cable, not even basic antenna channels. The AC worked fine and the room was kept cool. So I guess for the money and being located right next to the base it served its purpose. I didn’t have to spend much time in the room at all, being at Lackland most of the time. As far as needing a place to sleep this motel served its proper function. However, the overall exterior of the place was an absolute dump. The pool, and not that I was expecting to enjoy a pool at the La Quinta Inn, was a total swampish s***hole. It made for a festival of mosquitoes and bugs.

The room smelled musty and moldy when we got there, so much so that we had to go out and buy things to make it smell better. At breakfast, when I went to get juice for my niece I looked under and saw thick residue which I thought was just from the juice drying to one side after so many uses. I wiped it with a napkin to be sure and discovered that not only was it thick dried on residue, there was also mold in the spout. I reported it immediately and the man on duty took the spouts off and said he’d get the cleaning crew to clean it. Lastly, but certainly not least, there was a dead cricket (or cricket like bug) next to the tub with dust covering it.

Very worn down, room was not clean at all.

The photos don't reflect the reality of the hotel. The sheets were old and stained, dingy towels, moldy bathroom and dusty, and the building was very old. We arrived at night, tired after a 10-hour drive. It was very unpleasant having to look for another hotel at midnight.

This place was disgusting. The toilet didn’t flush, the beds looked like they were just made after the last guy left. The doors were difficult to open and close. This place is run down. We didn’t even stay but 10 minutes before we left and found a different hotel. I wish I took pictures, but I just wanted out of there.

It was terrible. the parking lot was full of pot holes, the staff was unfriendly and rude, and the room was horrendous. i had to go get a new hotel somewhere else. there were dead bugs everywhere, and what i assumed to be black mold on some of the outlet covers. the bath tub/shower area was nasty, and i felt as if i couldn’t go barefoot in my own hotel room. i even found mouse poop right in the middle of the room, not even hidden from the cleaners or anything. Please avoid this place. I normally don’t care about crappy hotels, but i physically could not stay in this one. PLEASE save your money and look anywhere else!!

This place is very rundown. I was originally given a room in a building very far away from the office, it didn't have an ac unit in the summer in South Texas and instead a huge hole to the outside. I went back and asked for a different room and was given one with an AC. WHEN did an AC unit become optional? The sheets were clean, but everything else was worn, the walls were needing paint, there were bugs crawling (i killed 2), there was a TV but no remote to turn it on. The only plus was it's very close to the base and because there weren't very many guests, it was quiet. I would not stay again even though it was cheap. Hopefully, they're in the process of renovation

AC worked amazing!! Couldn’t get the TV to work. Loved the convenience to Lackland Air Force Base. Parking was right in front of the room. You can hear the planes at night, didn’t bother us but just be aware.

Clean rooms a little older properties very quiet area

This place gets the job done for the price. The room was clean but the exterior needs a lot of work.

Clean rooms. There was leak on the ceiling and hitting the bed near the AC.

If you are here to see your family member graduate, it’s as close to the base as you can get inside of rooms look better than the outside. Great for the price but if you want a nice place with amenities, keep looking.

This property was the worst ever. The bed sheets was black and nasty the bathtub has mold and the room smelled like mold. Property was a mess and everything was stained. The front counter was not responding to the rooms and i left and got a refund. While i was getting my refund 4 other families that had just gotten there returned to the office to get a refund as well. I had never seen such a nasty hotel in my life!

Rooms were dirty. There was dirt all over the floor, my family also stayed in different rooms and their bed sheets were stained and so we’re some of our towels. The shower had some grime or something in it doesn’t look like the rooms get cleaned up in my opinion. When we arrived we had one already opened shampoo bottle in the shower, the hair dryer also wasn’t working I was going to call them but the room phone wasn’t even connected but the worker ended up bringing us a new dryer and shampoos. I’d recommend somewhere more neat and clean/sanitary. I was expecting at least what we saw in the pictures when booking and for it being a “nice” place to stay near the base it was the complete opposite respectfully.

Every time I needed to access my room, I would call front desk to come and let me in because the keys I was given, never worked at all, and the would also drill out the batteries to make it work

Dirty, run down, but if you’re heading into Lackland, might be the best option as it is literally across the way.

Good location for family members who needed to be for air force Lackland two days graduation ceremonies. Need to change some things like the shower probably needs to adjust the water pressure. Anything else is good

Very dirty rooms (stained walls, floors, and sheets, dead bugs in the wall art and in the corners of the room) and the property itself is run down and dirty with trash everywhere. The doors are broken and difficult to open/close.

I don’t like to complain but what you see in the picture is not what you get when you get there. The first night was a nightmare because I wasn’t feel safe thinking that someone can open the door and the Entry Door Flip lock was broken. The property has potential but need maintenance.

I was very disappointed with the room first the bath room didn't smell good it smell like pee on the floor and around the bath tub had mold i got two beds the first bed i notice the sheets weren't cleaned the sheet all the way to the bottom ones the room need to be air freshener .The only reason why i book this place it was near to the air force base .They need to improved on the toilet make sure its cleaned properly and check the linens.

Probably the filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Rooms are not stocked. And by that I mean I couldn't even get a paper cup for my coffee, which was only decaf anyway. I didn't get the room cleaned at all one day (not by request) and had to ask to towels. The pool is bone dry. The shower is smaller than the size of my refrigerator (NOT an exaggeration). No hair dryer. Trash and broken glass in the parking lot. Comically small breakfast options. Not even any coffee in the lobby. The AC was exceptionally loud. There were dirty linenes left outside for over 24 hours. Honestly the whole experience was pretty wild. May be close to Lackland, but would advise to stay pretty much anywhere else and drive a few minutes more.

We've stayed at La Quinta before and it was great, but this time it was terrible and terrifying. We will never use at La Quinta ever again.

Great place to crash for the night. No noise or disturbance. They should work on the swimming pool. was shocked to hear that they now require deposits because they never asked me for that in the past. But it is what it is. Still, I would keep staying here over and over again.

I was expecting a much nicer hotel since this was a La Quinta. It was not clean, it was falling apart and the beds were horribly uncomfortable.

The towels hanging on the towel holder literally looked like they had dried blood on them. There was small debris on the bed. The shower base was encrusted with what looked like years of lime build up. There were stains on the sheets. There was a smoke detector mount with wires in it and I could not find the actual smoke detector. Outside, the "EXIT" red lighted sign was smashed and a dystopic flashing light was going non-stop. The whole place was gross. What made me really upset was the place they went me to was a separate building. The front building looks nice. When I checked in, they had me cross a bridge and go to a separate, totally crappier set of buildings behind the front building that looked much older and nastier. Totally gross, the grossest I have ever stayed in. I didn't bother to contest it because I had to be in that location and had no time to lose sleep due to an early event.

The shower was basically a broom closet. And grubby the chaulk way moldy black mold I went to dollar store and bought bleach and shower mats to even get in it and all of

Disgusting, the room was dirty when we got there and there was roaches in the room. It was so bad that there was a roach on my six month old baby. I had to freak out on the front desk. It was disgusting and it looks rundown and there’s a lot of homeless people living under the bridge right next to it.

This property does not look the same online than it does in person. Very dirty, broken door and did not shut all the way, TV did not work, and phone in the rooms don’t work. Location was very convenient to the Air Force Base. Other than that, I would not recommend to anyone.

The best thing I can say about this place is, the location was wonderful for getting on and off of the base. Other than that, a few newer amenities but most of the place is rundown. Sink didn’t drain, no lamps, floor is dirty, no telephone, made service only came when asked. And wasn’t even clean at check in, other than sheets and towels.

Room was decent, lots of stains and stuff on floor and walls but overall not too bad. The fridge was also really dirty and I think there was a smell coming from it. Luckily we didnt have anything to put in it. Super close to base so if youre going for a BMT graduation it is very convenient.

Parking is easy, door was hard to open with the keycard, fridge full of molds, the bed and the shower were full of hairs.

The breakfast was not refilled even when asked. And then they closed it.

We arrived and the room was dirty, the bed had too much hair on it, probably pubic hair, the sheets were very stained, we informed reception and they refused to change our room or give us a refund, so I had to go to another hotel and pay for another room
