Very quiet, upscale hotel. Comfortable bed, we spent our anniversary weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. Short walk to the downtown hotspots. Would stay again!

Anything you may have forgotten this hotel has you covered. Great location. Quiet and convenient. Love this hotel.

Js went out there for a weekend getaway and really enjoyed it.

Night crew (Fernando, Rosa the whole and team) were great. We had a great time there.

Nice room. Very clean. Easy and quick check-in. Wonderful breakfast sandwich. Great location. Valet is a bit pricey but being able to prepay for it was nice so that I could see the total up front.

After a long day and ready to go to bed, the elevators were down to 1 making many guests wait in line. Once in my room the shampoo bottle did not work.

The breakfast is not free and you have to pay a security deposit for each day you stay there. So it was an additional $150 for each day. I stayed there that was insane to me.

The bartender, Josh was an expert and cocktails. And the food at the deco bar was amazing!

It was such a comfortable experience walking into the room. Good bed, good bath. I love that the AC was not an under the window unit. It was quiet except for some re-ocurring noises in the middle of the night

we arrived late and i didnt know we had to pay for parking $60 a night its outrageous then to come down to find out the valet attendant had took our car keys on her lunch break so we did not have access to our vehicle

Rooms were very nice and clean and spacious. It was very hot so the AC in the room was struggling a bit.

When we walked in to the Intercontinental we decided to stay there immediately. The lobby, the bar, the restaurant and rooms were sparkling. We made use of the gorgeous pool 2 days ina row and even though it was hot, the breeze was amazing as well as the water. Comfortable beds in the room. Complimentary waters every day. But the staff really set it apart! Everyone we came in contact with was so helpful and accommodating. It felt like they really cared and that is rare these days. I would 100% recommend this hotel and I now have a place to stay without disappointment to visit my granddaughter.

Great stay! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and excellent service. I would stay again. One thing to note: Hotels.com lists some rooms as having a Riverwalk view, but that can be misleading, as the rooms do not actually overlook the Riverwalk.

There was a fire alarm at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 and I walked down 452 steps as I was on the 21st floor. It turned out to be a false alarm. It occurred again around midday and finally, there was an announcement that it was false over the hotel intercom. I am elderly and suffered with leg cramps for several days after walking down the 542 steps. Also, the pool was closed for a special event over the weekend; Very significantly, there was no bell service available when I check out and therefore, I had to get a cart and put all my luggage on it, haul it to the elevator, get it to check out, and then push it to get my car at the valet. This was very strenuous for someone who is 81 years of age and most unsatisfactory. Diane Finch - Friday, June 26 arrival; check out Tuesday, June 30

I like it

It’s easy access to the riverwalk while not being in the hub of tourist activity. Many attractions within walking distance, so a car was not necessary. The restaurant and bar were great. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and welcoming. The cost you had to front to access the rooftop pool access.

Overall the hotel was good. We were allocated an adjoining room and the sound proofing was unsatisfactory resulting in poor quality sleep for us. I would advise requesting a standard non-adjoining room upon reservation.

Rooms are very nice, alarms went off in the middle of the night twice and both were false alarms but little communication from hotel. Food is crazy expensive unless you go to the pool. The shop downstairs has limited offerings and closes very early. Only the bars are really open after 8pm on any given night.

I enjoyed everything about the property. The staff are friendly and courteous. The environment is clean and well maintained. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

After a trip to Riverwalk that night, while sleeping tired, next early morning around 4.30am, Emergency alarm beeping and asking all guests to vacate the rooms immediately and go to stairs. We heard on the floor, Guests started leaving their rooms. We got ready in few minutes to leave and I called the operator if still is emergency, and they said, no it was a false alarm, but they did not make any announcement for it being a false alarm.

Everything was so lovely and nice. Scenery was beautiful. The only thing is they don’t have complimentary breakfast but they do have a restaurant that serves breakfast. But pool was nice and clean and they also have an area where you can just relax and kick your feet up and have a drink.

Great place the staff were very helpful everywhere we went was walking distance. We didn’t have to use our car to go eat the only time we used the car was to visit the aquarium really nice also. The Riverwalk is right beside the hotel so we only had to walk or the hotel has an elevator leads you to the riverwalk Great people.

All was great but it’s the 2nd time i have stayed and they charge me twice for the room and

100% would recommend this place. It’s beautiful and their food is so fresh. Staff is awesome they always take the time to check in on you.

Great location. Entire hotel was clean and orderly. Staff all went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was close to a lot of places so I was able to just walk everywhere instead of getting Uber. I do wished my room had a bathroom fan and microwave or fridge so I wasn’t able to save any of my leftovers when I ate out. Other than those issues, I would still book here again.

It was a great hotel. Very clean and centrally located. The issue I ran into was that my AC in my room wasn’t working even after calling and having the maintenance engineer come to “fix it”. I really wish this wasn’t the case as it was a great hotel, but unfortunately with the AC issue, I wasn’t able to sleep during my stay.

Clean room and amenities. As an Intercontinental is supposed to be. The location is convenient but it is not in the most commercial/crowded part of the river walk. That can be good if you want more calm vs the Hyatt or the Westin. Parking location in the next block for US$30/night + taxes

Great stay, first time at this property

Had a wonderful time at Intercontinental hotel. Rooftop bar and pool was a fun! Rooms are very nicely decorated and downtown view was beautiful. Juan at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful time.

The room was spotless, very clean, and truly felt luxurious. You can tell they pay attention to the details, which made the stay even better. We also loved the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was just as good. The manager was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect during our visit. This will definitely be my go-to hotel every time I come back to San Antonio. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel but not great location on the Riverwalk. Valet parking was a ridiculous price of $65 per night and the none valet parking option was in a very sketchy garage. Room was nice and clean, restaurant was good for breakfast. Was not a good choice for going to a concert at the Majestic Theater, walking late at night back to hotel was not safe.

Great bar and restaurant. Small/med side king room but all refurbished and plush bedding and pillows. Very clean. Easy direct access to River Walk.

The check in was lacking in communication and professionalism. We had to get a manager involved even though we had a confirmation number. We extended the stay for Sunday night through Hotels.com and the Office said there was nothing on file. They charged our guest $$$ for one night. They even tried to charge for 2 nights. We will be disputing this charge. This was the worst experience to date. The front desk was inexperienced and unprepared.

When we checked in, they accidentally charged me $900 instead of deposit of $150 because they double charged me for the room that I had already paid. I had to have them fix it, but my bank still showed it as pending so I couldn’t touch that money. We paid for a River view and yes, we could see the river, but it wasn’t pretty where we were so would definitely bypass on that part. There was a rock band outside the hotel that it felt like we were in, that lasted us until midnight. Our toilet kept running and our TV wouldn’t turn on so we decided to switch rooms. Got a $100 credit towards the restaurant for the inconvenience. When we went to check out, they had no record of the hundred dollars. They did end up giving it to me. We had breakfast before checking out and my omelette had the wrong ingredients and was cold. Everyone else seemed to like their food. At the end they charged for my order and then I got charged for fresh fruit and berries or something like an additional $30 so I had to have them take that off. Kind of a mess TBH.

We came in for the Paul McCartney concert. I have stayed there before, and guest services are fantastic!

Terrible, extremely late and delayed check-in managed poorly by the staff with no proactive communication and essentially quite rude. Parking directions lacking and expensive. Didn't bother with breakfast as too expensive and crowded.

Highly recommend staying at this hotel.
