Hyatt Place San Antonio - Riverwalk

The hotel is in a great area, right on the River Walk but away from the busy areas. The hotel was clean, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. We did have to pay for parking, but it wasn’t very expensive.

Staff was friendly, and very helpful.

Front desk clerk Patti was awesome checking us in. We came in late and she knew out name and got us all set up. Our room was great comfortable and had a great view of the river. Breakfast was also always good we at three mornings and it was great each time. The pool was also clean and nice for the kids to swim in. I wish you had the coffee outside the cafeteria area so we can get coffee away from the crowd.

Breakfast was delicious, large parking lot, Riverwalk was in walking distance and plenty of restaurants near the hotel.

The hotel was clean, fresh, and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh with a good variety of options, making for a great start to the day. Parking was convenient and easy to access, which was a big plus. Overall, a pleasant stay and good value. I would definitely stay here again!

A little further down on the riverwalk but hotel was easy to get to, parking was so reasonable, hotel staff were very good and hotel nice. Would stay again.

The staff was generally unfriendly, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. The biggest disappointment was the pool. My kids were so excited to swim, but when we got there, the water looked like a swamp. It was clearly not in a condition anyone would want to use. The parking fee was also outrageous. While I understand I should have noticed it before booking, I honestly didn't see it until after receiving my confirmation. Even so, none of the surrounding hotels charge anything close to what this property does, making it feel like an unnecessary extra expense. After our two-night stay, we chose to book another hotel to extend our vacation instead of staying here. We could have remained at this property, but there were simply too many inconveniences to justify it. To make matters worse, the iron in our room leaked a brown substance all over my white shirt that I had planned to wear. The stains never came out, and the shirt was ruined. Something as simple as coffee was another disappointment. Every other hotel we've stayed at has offered complimentary coffee in the lobby. Here, when we asked where we could find some, we were laughed at and told to go to Starbucks. Finally, the breakfast staff seemed unhappy and unwelcoming every morning. A smile and a friendly attitude go a long way in hospitality, but unfortunately, that was missing throughout our stay.

Room was spacious, however bathroom was small. Pet fee is high. If no damage should get some back. Website said 25 dollars for parking and it was 27 dollars.

Great hotel -- cool location on the Riverwalk. The breakfast was great, bed comfortable and the AC worked well -- which is important in Texas. Note they charge you to park.

The view of the river. Small bathroom, couldn’t change in the bathroom. Pool was very dirty. We couldn’t get in and out of the parking lot, and whenever we went to check out is whenever she told us we never had parking access on our cards.

I didn’t try the breakfast myself, but my family did and they said it tasted funky and the pancakes weren’t fully cooked the cleaning was good when we got in the first day they made our bed when we left for a few hours they made the bed and organize your room a little. It’s pretty spacious, I liked the double sofa.

we tried to use hair dryer but the dryer smelled like burning and them power went off, we ordered another hair dryer the same thing happened. breakfast very basic .

Great location for Riverwalk. You had access right out the back of the hotel to get on river walk. The rooms are nice well thought out for storing your stuff. Beds are very comfortable. Pool was good nothing fancy. Breakfast was good, they ran out of most things the first day we were there but the rest of the time we had no issues. Would definitely stay here again.

All in all mine stay was perfect

The property was very clean, room was spacious, bed was extremely soft and comftorble and rhe breakfast was delicious! The only thing I didn’t like was there was only an outdoor pool, but other than that this hotel was perfect for my family of 4 and smack dab in the middle of downtown close to everything. I will be coming back here next time I’m in town!

Overall okay. WiFi was a bit slow. Rooms were clean and well maintained, except for balcony, it had dirty towels and used coffee cups.

We've stayed at this hotel 3 years in a row for an annual event at the convention center. Our family is so glad we found it! This hotel is an easy walk to the convention center, mall, the Alamo, and all the other downtown areas. Each time we've stayed at this property, our room has been clean and the staff have been super friendly. This most recent trip (July 2026) was probably our best visit yet, with a delicious hot breakfast each morning and a very clean room upon our return each day. The lobby area smells amazing when you enter, and each afternoon there is water set out for guests to enjoy. There is also a bar and some food items available for purchase. The parking rate for this hotel is very reasonable, especially related to other hotels in the area, and you can drive in and out of the lot as you wish. Highly recommend staying here to be just out of the hustle and bustle of downtown but close enough to get to everything quickly.

The property was in great condition. Well-kept rooms and clean property overall. Close proximity to Riverwalk. Only one of the 2 elevators worked, which slowed ascent down a little, but stairs are great exercise.

Hotel was very clean. It had a very nice smell every time you walked in the hotel. The hotel is in a great location super easy access to the riverwalk, which my family absolutely loved we walked everywhere the week we stayed. Staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome at all times. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. 10/10 excellent.. no complaints

Breakfast was pretty good, parking is ok but I’m not happy I got charged for parking 27$ a day and that is a lot . Parking should be free for customers who stay there .

The hotel is perfect

I didn’t find this property to be worth the money it’s definitely not worth it. The bathroom is smaller than a closet, you barely can close the door to use it or to go into it. OMG the beds are horrible! It felt like I slept on iron. You don’t have to remove the sheets to know the mattresses are worn out. They did service the room well. The hotel just needs to be updated before charging this kind of money. Also, it’s $30 a night to park where you already paid for a room, and it’s not even in a garage.

Está todo cerca hacia el River Walk. Volveré a quedarme aquí. Si necesitas más toallas solo pídelas, por qué no las cambian cada día a menos que lo solicites así de cuida el medio ambiente.

Hotel stay was good for the price, room was spacious just not a big fan of the sink being in front of the beds especially having littles trying to not wake them up at night. Breakfast was not great at all needs more of a variety. Overall would stay again if it was at a discounted price I found it.

Clean room and clean lobby

Holiday weekend so it was very busy. All the staff was very friendly and caring. Just 2 less than positive comments. I did not get breakfast because lines were too long also, Saturday morning a garbage truck was parked outside making a lot of noise for 20 minutes and then picked up the dumpster. That upset my wife because he could have been idle or quiet while waiting to pick up the dumpster. Other than that, it was a great experience. One more thing— this was the first time I ever paid for parking in the hotel that I paid to stay at.

The hotel was a 15 minute or 20 minute walk, depending on your age to get to the restaurants and main area on the Riverwalk. Which can be too far for some people, especially when it’s hot. And you can’t drive downtown because there’s no parking so you almost have to walk or take an Uber. Otherwise, we loved it.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Location was perfect, you walk out the backdoor and you're straight on to the River walk. Riverwalk was beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars, its also immaculate. We walked back late at night and felt totally safe. Rooms were also immaculate and very large with all the amenities you need. I would agree with others re the toilet being small, but we didn't experience water on the floor from the shower. Breakfast was lovely and we managed to get a seat easily each day. The Breakfast offering changed daily and we were lucky enough to get the little silver dollar pancakes! Now to the staff absolutely brilliant, very friendly and extremely helpful. Car park was easy to with parking straight outside the building. On check out we were able to leave our car there until 3pm, which meant we could visit the Alamo and have a lovely lunch and last walk along the Riverwalk before we left. This would be our hotel of choice if staying in San Antonio again.

Just got back from a vacation in San Antonio (Riverwalk). The Hyatt Place was wonderful. It is located on a quieter section of the Riverwalk, but just a 5 minute walk to where the action is happening. The included breakfast can't be beat. You name it, they had it -- eggs, oatmeal, bacon, various cereals, yogurt, etc. This is a great hotel. My husband and I are so glad we chose the Hyatt Place. We've already recommended it to our children and friends who plan to visit the Riverwalk. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Hotel is very nicely maintained, ckean and in safe neighborhood. Less then 15 minutes from all restaurants and shops on River Walk. You get out of the rear door and are basically on River Walk itself. Less the noise and crowds. Breakfast in excellent and slightly changed daily.

Everything was just about what we could have asked for. Staff was really nice. The only issue I had was the room key not working with the parking gate arms. For what we paid for the room and parking, I would've expected everything to work properly. Other than that, no complaints.

The hotel was centrally located and allowed us to walk to just about anywhere we wanted to go-the riverwalk, Alamo and lots of dining. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, better than typical hotel food.

I was very surprised of the outcome of the stay. Soon as I pulled in I was greeted and easily checked into my room. Room was very spacious and very well maintained, comfortable and extremely clean. Couldn’t be any more happier with my stay.

Everything was wonderful

The hotel seemed to be well staffed with at least 2 front desk staff and manager on duty to ensure all guests were helped in a timely manner. They greeted us when returning from our excursions and ensured our stay was comfortable. Downtown streets were blocked to the hotel and staff was able to help guide us in with their knowledge of the area. Room was really spacious with separation between sleeping and relaxing area. Only downside: the toilet / shower room is VERY small and you have to manuever to the other side of the toilet to close the door and if the step out mat is on the floor, the door won't close.
