Hyatt Place San Antonio–North/Stone Oak

2nd time staying here and we can't say enough good things. Staff is amazing and courteous, very clean rooms, amenities are spot on and very clean (pool, gym even lobby).

Staff is fantastic. Easy and quick check in. I loved the mini suite; lots of room for all our stuff. Great big tv that swiveled from the room to the living room. The only thing is that there’s not many channels to choose from. They do have other services like Netflix that you can access. Breakfast has a good variety of options. Now the ugly, the water on the toilet kept running all night and day, the ac unit (old units) was very very loud and made horrible noises all night long. Needless to say, we didn’t get much sleep/rest. No toiletries or plastic cups at all. One coffee cup in the room even though we had two guests. We didn’t use any other amenities. Overall, it was good, not great.

Booked 2 nights. Got up first morning and the shower was broken. Called front desk and asked for another room. Front desk said they'd send cleaning staff to look. I said it was a plumbing problem, not a cleaning problem. He said he'd send maintenance. Waited a while, maintenance showed up and looked at the problem, then left to get something. Eventually he came back and fixed the problem. I wonder how the cleaning staff had cleaned the shower/tub if water was unavailable due to the plumbing problem. In addition to this, I didn't care for the weak pressure of the shower and I checked out. Went to better hotel that cost twice as much, but I didn't have time to shop. Will not go to La Quinta again.

Por cuestiones de salud me he hospedado muchas veces en los últimos meses por la cercanía del hotel a los centros médicos en los que atiendo problemas de salud y siempre las experiencias fueron excelentes excepto excepto la estancia del 18 al 20 de Agosto reservada y pagada totalmente semanas antes. Hice check in el Martes 18 de Agosto y el 19 de Agosto a las 12:00 pm se presentó una mujer en mi habitación, a pesar de haber puesto la señal de NO MOLESTAR pues acababa de regresar del hospital donde me realizaron un procedimiento en mi corazón y necesitaba guardar reposo, a pesar de ver mi estado de salud delicado me solicito que dejara la habitación o bajara inmediatamente a pagar. Le mostré la reservación y el comprobante de pago que hice semanas antes y semanas retiró diciendo que ellos no tenían registrado el pago de mi estancia. Después se aclarar el asunto, al día siguiente Jueves 20 de Agosto, otra mujer fue a mi habitación a las 10:00 am nuevamente llamando a la puerta bruscamente a pesar del letrero de NO MOLESTAR solicitándome que dejara el hotel porque ellos no tenían registrado mi pago. Al final hice el check out a la hora correcta y me retiré con mucho disgusto por el mal trato recibido por el personal del hotel.

Everything except the water situation No water in rooms at all we checked in at 3 and Noone said anything about the water leak until we called the front desk they put letters saying it would be 4 hours but still at 9:30 at night there wasn't water.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. It had the feel of a brand new hotel. The staff was polite and attentive to our needs.

They only serve coffee with breakfast unless you want to buy Starbucks from the bar. Breakfast stays warm, but it's only hot when freshly served. Room was clean and housekeeping was respectful of property and presence. Pool is saltwater, but not kept warm in an air conditioned room.

LOCATION having a fan directly to your bed. My wife realizes that the sofa triggers her allergies. No water bottles at the room; but this is a recurrent practice at several hotels.

I attended a family event not far from the hotel. The location was perfect. The hotel was not more than one block from 281 but my room was quiet. Check out is at noon. Too many hotels now days have check out at 11:00 a.m. The remote for the tv was not working properly. I think it needed some fresh batteries.

I have to give it to the lady in the front desk. I didn't catch her name, but she was very helpful. She was absolutely wonderful! We had a great experience, everything was clean and the atmosphere was great too.

When we were bringing our shopping bags inside, the door closed behind us. A housekeeper was cleaning the room across the hall, so we asked her if she could let us back in. She responded rudely, saying, "No, you need to go downstairs and ask the front desk." Ok, we understood that for maybe security reasons, she couldn't let guests into rooms, so we didn't make an issue of it. Later, we asked the same housekeeper if we could have a few washcloths, and she rudely responded, "No!" Her tone was unnecessarily rude, and we were honestly surprised. We simply went back to our room without saying anything. The next day we contacted the front desk to request housekeeping service for our room, but the only thing she did was drop off towels. She didn't bother to take the old ones or the trash. Overall, the lack of helpfulness and the unfriendly attitudes made our stay much less enjoyable. I understand that hospitality can be a demanding job, but treating guests with courtesy and respect is a basic expectation.

Big space Too much charge for pet for 1 day

Room was very good, it was clean and comfy, the pool was great because it was indoor and that day was cloudy. The breakfast was not included and we had to pay for it, but it was very cold and not too much to offer, what it was it was very cold.

Checkin without a problem but world recommend not to say out loud a room for ONE... especially being female.

Pillows were not comfortable. They were flat but besides that our stay was good. They do charge you a $200 incidental fee that should be reimbursed Marlene stated.

It’s been a few years that I have stayed at this property and you can definitely see the age of the property. The room we stayed in can definitely use some upgrades. There were parts of the baseboard that was coming undone, the bed was lumpy, the pillows were uncomfortable, and it seemed like every piece of furniture had stains or some sort of damage to it. The room could use a new sofa bed as well. Not the experience I had the first few times staying at this property.

We stayed one night at this hotel with our Family of 5 and the stay was very pleasant. Clean, spacious room and great service. I love that there is no carpet in the rooms.

The floors inside the room were dirty as evident by wearing white socks. Under the bed was filthy. The bathrooms were well maintained. The bathroom door above our room kept squeaking throughout the night as the guest used it. Probably housekeepers don’t report it to maintenance. Hot Breakfast items were warm at best at 8:30am. We skipped breakfast the second day and went out for food instead. Front desk agent/bartender was excellent! Good amount of EV chargers.

Nice,clean property so close to medical locations. The street noise on the highway side of the street is audible, but not loud. No microwave, but they are happy to microwave something for you downstairs. Great place with friendly and helpful staff. Most defitely staying there again.

Beautiful well kept place. Beds very comfortable. Very nice neighborhood we felt safe.

It was okay, lacked character and any real help from the front desk and bartenders don't know how to make drinks.

This was a great hotel with a very large room. Breakfast was great both days. Property was very nice and safe. Close lots of restaurants and shopping via short drive, several miles from the main attractions of San Antonio. Nice soft bed. Would stay again here on our next trip to San Antonio. Staff was very friendly.

My only complaint was that the water never got truly hot and was lukewarm at best. I did not report the issue, so it may have been something that could have been fixed, but my schedule did not allow time for that. The location was also very convenient with easy access to many medical facilities. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely consider staying again.

The staff was wonderful, especially Marlene. Everybody went the extra step to make sure our questions and requests were taken care of. They encouraged us to sign up for the World of Hyatt program and explained benefits.

No hot water and no internet. Was offered a refund but it has not happened.

I will knock out the cons first: - The AC was really loud. - The lighting in the bathroom is terrible, even my 5 year old mentioned it (he has ASD and darker rooms freak him out). - I did see some mold in the bathroom or what looked like mold at least. - The sheets had some stains on them that seemed like were washed but just not able to come out. Pros: - I enjoyed the layout of the room because I have two kids and one is 9 so she wants her own bed but she is not old enough to have her own room even if its joined. So the 2 double bed and a sofa pull out is perfect. - We have a thing for indoor pools anytime we go places. This one was clean and well maintained and we had it all to ourselves. I did not swim but the kids did and they said although it was colder than expected for a heated pool, it was manageable. The pool area was really hot. It was like relaxing in a sauna. So that wasnt exactly fun but kids didn't seem to mind. - Staff was very nice. The phones stayed busy so we had to go downstairs to ask for additional towels and pillows but they were more than willing to accommodate. We only stayed one night as a quick birthday getaway for my sons birthday but my kids had a great time.

The hotel is ok, it’s close to a hospital and it seems like it’s for families that need to stay close to the hospital. They charge for everything including water. No lotion in room & really bad coffee.

During the booking i couldn’t see anywhere indicated that they charge $50 (refundable if everything is okay) for incidental… until the day of check in…. It is a nice place thought.

When checking in the front desk informed us that our room had been over sold and they would be providing us a 1 night stay at a hotel just a couple minutes down the road, which they did but at the cost of our plans for the first 2 days of our trip, once we did get checked in the staff and hotel was nice, and had a decent breakfast.

Staff was friendly , room clean as could be. Breakfast was great something for everyone.

The room itself was very spacious, which we really appreciated, and both queen beds were quite comfortable—we all slept well. Our granddaughter especially enjoyed the indoor pool, which was definitely a highlight of our stay. However, there were a few issues that really stood out. The hot water never seemed to get hot enough, which made showers less enjoyable. Out of curiosity, I checked under the beds and found that both areas clearly needed thorough cleaning—it looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. The most concerning moment happened on our second night when another guest was mistakenly given access to our room. That understandably frightened my wife and raised some concerns about overall guest security. Breakfast was another disappointment—we found a long hair in the scrambled eggs, which was off-putting. With that said, the comfortable beds and the enjoyment our granddaughter had at the pool helped balance things out a bit. Overall, I would rate this stay 3 out of 5 stars. With better attention to cleanliness and guest safety, this place could be much better.

We didn't have any pets or use the laundry facilities

I did spray Febreze & lit a candle. Beds were super comfy. Towels were on point. Just expected a little more, for the price we paid.

Refirgerator was not working they said they would put in a work order. I had medications that had to be refrigerated. I was told they would put in a work order. Asked again said they would follow up and nothing was done. Ice machine was not working on floor i had to wake up about every 4 hours to make sure there was enough ice.
