Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

This hotel was on the quieter side of the riverwalk, and we splurged and opted for a Deluxe King room with a Balcony overlooking the water. The staff was helpful and even room service was fast. I loved it! I would recommend staying here.

Some of the best staff ever. Even the bartender inquired about our stay. Just an excellent atmosphere and location.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed we were greeted with kindness and courtesy by the valet and staff. An excellent hotel on the Riverwalk. We will definitely stay here when we return to San Antonio.

The only disappointing item was there was not body soap. The dispenser was empty

We love this hotel. Such a nice place. Perfectly located. The staff is always amazing (valet, frontdesk, bar..). Parking is easy (self or valet). Right there on the riverwalk. Excellent!!

The room was clean and roomy and they brought in a little rolling mattress for my little granddaughter which she absolutely loved! And the restaurant there is amazing! We enjoyed having breakfast in the mornings out there.

I appreciated the hotel’s location and our view. I was not impressed by the $55.00 a day parking fee. I tipped the valet $10 when we left. A total money grab.

Took my family for a weekend trip, hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. The only downside is the had a hidden fee that is now non refundable. I want to say it was around $30. Also expect to pay for valet parking. It was $60 a day.

All the staff at the hotel were very helpful, they went out of their way ti accommodate you. The hotel was clean and tidy,. We had lunch once at the restaurant/bar and it was obvious that one person couldn't keep up with the inflowing crowd, there were othere restaurant workers standing around, but they did nothing to help the one person taking care of 12 to 15 customers at a time. I was disappointed with the bed in the room, it seemed like it was there since the hotel opened, there were indentations so deep in the mattress that it formed a mountain range in the middle. Besides those things the hotel was great.

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in San Antonio. We come to San Antonio every couple of years and stay somewhere new each time but this is going to be the go to spot from now on. The service was incredible. All of the staff was helpful and kind and knowledgeable. The room was beautiful and the whole property smelled amazing.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I appreciated getting a margarita at check-in. There was a little bit of construction going on near the front lobby that did not seem to be an issue for us. I love the location being so close to the majestic theater. And their breakfast was fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay. Excellent location right next to the Riverwalk. Wonderful outdoor terrace and beautiful areas to relax. The room was nice and clean and all the staff were very helpful and polite. I definitely will stay there again and would recommend this hotel to others. Great experience!

Property was easy to get to . The rooms are quite big , and it’s across from the best Brazilian steak house . The staff was very friendly as well.

Deceptive practices. They charge you an additional $40, or $20 something per person, that can only be used in the restaurant in the hotel that you probably don't want to go to. I mean, who goes to a hotel downtown to eat when there are SO many good options for eating within walking distance. The hotel was comfortable and clean, so I'm not saying it's a bad hotel. We just don't like getting screwed out of money and so we would not return to this hotel until we've tried every other hotel in the area, and there are MANY hotel options in this very desirable location. We'll probably try the Embassy Suites or the Marriott next time. However, if you like a touch of rip off with your stay, this is probably a solid option for you.

$60 dollar for you valet parking after your booking! Not good .. I will not recommend it. I’d like 4 different businesses in the same building..

I think if they update everything even in the rooms, the comforters, The down comforters were very used. I might say overused they were flat, not fluffy. I think the parking fee to park there was ridiculously overpriced

They were doing some construction, so a few loud sounds, but don’t let that deter you. This place is one of the best on the riverwalk. Great views, awesome food, big rooms and comfortable bed. Staff is amazing - helpful and friendly! You won’t be disappointed.

Valet was very courteous helpful and quick with our belongings. Desk lobby was very friendly too. Our room was very clean so was the restroom with plenty of towels.

The hotel was under construction and we where unable to use the stairs. ( which was a key point in us coming) The elevator doors closed quickly and I almost got caught in the it. And while the hostest was super sweet. They where not clean in the $22 fee that could be used at the restaurant and not for room service for the restaurant food.

There wasn't a mini fridge. The only one was the one designed for beverages which was already fully stocked. It would have been nice to have one for leftovers etc. The cleaning wasn't consistent. Sometimes fresh towels and at times not replenished. Overall it was a very nice stay. The location was perfect and the staff awesome.

We stayed at The Hotel Valencia for our Anniversary. Our stay was great and will be staying there again in the future. Great hospitality with a margarita offered at check in! The balcony by the bar has a great view of the Riverwalk. The balcony in our suite was also a great view. Our room was very clean and we were very satisfied. The bar tenders were very attentive and very friendly too.

I love the vibe of this hotel. It is really lovely with a very convenient location, steps from the Riverwalk and The Alamo. My room was beautiful and clean. Would recommend to couples for a fun getaway in San Antonio.

Someone entered our room with a room key after midnight while we were asleep. We reported to the front desk but they were not concerned said no security, security cameras, or management at hotel until 7:30 next morning. No move due to hotel being full.

A very quaint, upscale property that sits on the Riverwalk. They offer valet parking for a fee or you can park in the public garage, which was 2 blocks over. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was a well stocked fridge with beverages and a great variety of snacks available for purchase. I would definitely stay here again. 10/10 definitely recommend!

The staff is just amazing. They went above and beyond in making my birthday weekend special.

Also one of the housekeeping at the 7 floor and she was very nice. Now the room the A/C was making noise all the time ( vibrations) and the coffe machine did not work. I feel that the beds are small for 2 adults. In the bathroom there are 0 cups for personal hygiene. I may explore other hotel next time that we visit San Antonio.

Everyone from The time you arrive the Valet makes you feel welcomed, to the people at the front desk help you with anything question you have. Everthing was nice and clean, and everything is walking distance. And the view was looked amazing

Hotel was very nice, but Expedia lists it as having a pool under amenities. (Photo attached) It does not have a pool, it has a fountain in the lobby (which is what is pictured under amenities). Great location, friendly staff, but we explicitly chose Hotel Valencia because we it had a pool according to Expedia. Stay would have been exceptional (even without the pool), but on two of the four days we stayed the wait for valet parking to bring our car was ridiculous. They tell you to call for your car 15 minutes before you want to depart, we ended up waiting 30 minutes beyond that. This lateness actually forced us to miss a key component of my son’s bootcamp graduation.

Great location! Beautiful property. Very friendly staff. Can get to the riverwalk in 2 minutes and is very near many things to do.

I had amazing time at this property. I came here for my graduation ceremony. The restaurant in the hotel had amazing food. The staff from valet to front desk staff was so kind. They were very responsive to every request.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and opened directly into a charming courtyard with tables and chairs, providing a relaxing outdoor space. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the shower featured excellent water pressure. The hotel also provided high-quality luxury toiletries, which were a nice touch. The in-room refrigerator was stocked with a variety of ice-cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, making it convenient. The fitness center was well-equipped and offered a good variety of exercise equipment, making it easy to maintain a workout routine while traveling. The hotel's downtown location was another major highlight. There were numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area without needing to drive. One thing to be aware of is the hotel's "destination fee." While it is deducted from your authorization hold, it also functions as a credit that can be used at a designated affiliated restaurant. Understanding how this fee works ahead of time can help you take full advantage of the included credit. Valet parking was available but quite expensive. We chose to park in a nearby garage for a significantly lower cost, which was a convenient and budget-friendly alternative. We did not get to visit the bar but we will hopefully get to experience it next time!

Room was extremely clean, staff were overly helpful and I loved that. Breakfast was pricey but good and not over filing. Didn’t have a balcony but could see views from our room, it looked nice. Definitely will be rebooking every time it in San Antonio. Very close to the Alamo.

The location was good, on the quiet part of the Riverwalk and close to everything. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is a bit dated and could use some updating and cleaning, but bed and pillows were good.

I have asked for a lower level because I am phobic and have a fear of heights. They put me on the 10th floor. Additionally, they charged me almost $90.00 for valet parking. Valet should be complementary for free and then you tip. Not get charged and tip. Also they scratch my passenger side mirror on my brand new 2026 vehicle.

Upon walking in, the hotel looked beautiful! However after an exhausting day of treatment walking into the room, it was not cold. Thinking maybe it’s bc it was so hot outside, I lowered it down to 60. Maybe after a shower it would be nice and cold. However it wasn’t. After the shower I checked the bed and I was extremely disappointed with the condition it was in. The bedding had multiple yellow stains(looks to be a huge pee stain), that had simply been covered with a mattress pad, and I even found candy stuck in the carpet and all along the mattress/railing. I have allergies and am very sensitive to cleanliness, so I was not comfortable staying in this room. This is not what I expected from a luxury hotel.

It was quick stop for us and the location was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere on the riverwalk!

No pool, beds are twins not queens like most hotels and not worth the price when you consider what we paid for our two rooms. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend if you have children who enjoy a swimming pool. Elizabeth specifically wasn’t very helpful but the rest of the staff was very kind. Maraud at the valet stand was amazing and so was the rest of the staff.

All of the properties that are part of the Valencia group continue to astound me with the level of service and professionalism. This hotel is conveniently located, quiet, and with excellent food.

Perfect stay at the Valencia Hotel. Everything is within walking distance. Fabulous suite—pristine condition! Both the restaurants and the bar are excellent. They accommodated a large group on short notice. Service was top-notch. Thank you!

It is very nice and beautiful hotel. Very clean, very elegant. Location was nice but not where I expected to be on the correct side of the riverwalk I wanted to be. I had called at 6:10 that we were running late on check in and I was told there would be issue with the room I requested. But there was an issue, we received a room with 2 twins side beds and it was my and my husband anniversary and we ended up sleeping on separate beds. We were told there was nothing else available very disappointed. My reservation was queen bed and balcony, and we disnt get either.
