Clean room, great staff, nice breakfast

We also had an issue with the a/c unit leaking water and we could never activate the "hot" water at the sink in the bathroom.

Easy parking, easy access to the river walk and a very friendly staff. We always stay here when driving through or staying in the San Antonio area.

My room had random hair on bed sink and shower floor had foot prints when we walked in food still on utensils in the drawer the pool was freezing even in August weather the shower was either cold or way too hot and took a long time to get hot. I had to got to Heb and get Lysol just to disinfect the room for my kids and when I cleaned surfaces in the room you could see my hand print from the surface I cleaned horrible stay for the price.

The space of our room was great for our family and the variety in breakfast!

Room dirty didn’t even get a river walk view basically just got a pool view wasn’t happy with the room. a lot of homeless people wandering around sometimes. Wouldn’t stay again here

Parking is the only disappointment

Make sure that the bottles for showering are checked. As we did not have any conditioner. I did let them know but we had already showered and as you know women do not wash their everyday unless. Other than that, it was clean, fresh and perfect for our weekend stay. The rate for valet is crazy but to be expected in a big city. Pool was perfect for my granddaughter, she loved it. May come back in September for my birthday. Thank you

Only one elevator worked, the hallway carpet smelled like wet dog, and the breakfast was so bad that my kids walked across the street for something different.

I enjoyed my stay here! The rooms were a great size for our family stay.

We liked how close it was to everything! Valet situation was very confusing from the hotel staff and the valet staff. Ended up only doing one night and the next night parked at the parking garage across the street.

The only thing that I wish they had was a dog park so pets can go out and do their thing. They fo have one but its very small. But overall everything else is awesome 👌

It was pouring rain when we arrived, and the valet service met us with great care (umbrellas, cart, and smiles). Just a few minutes after check-in, we received a text checking in about other ways they could be of assistance. The response was quick when we had questions (such as printing documents). The warm breakfast area had variety, and the seating areas were vast and overlooked the river walk. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, well attended to. The fitness center was spacious and overlooked the cozy pool. We enjoyed our stay very much and will continue to look to Home2Suites when we look for hotels.

Wish the pool was a little bigger the pictures made it look bigger and deeper . But it was not . They didn’t put fresh toilet paper in the rooms and you could tell they were just used before we got into the room .

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because their breakfast isn't that good.

Only 1 elevator running multiple times during the day. We had to take the stairs multiple times after 10 minute waits.

The room was not clean at all, stained sheets, missing door handle in the back door ( couldn’t lock it) roaches found all over, trash canes don’t have bags.

Very friendly staff and clean facility. Great location. Would definitely stay again.

The room was amazing, spacious, clean and the best continental breakfast since before COVID! The staff were super helpful and kind. Wish I stayed more than 1 night.

Complementary breakfast had very few options and the pool was cloudy.

Staff gave us a hard time with our reservation. Claimed they were under staffed for us to check in on time. Staff claimed they could not find reservation when 40 minutes earlier all I gave was name. Other family of ours did not go through Expedia got their room on time with no problems and got a gift bag. I feel we were mistreat for using Expedia. We wanted to watch a FIFA game the staff lied said it was not available in hotel. They recommended near by bars I’m sure that pay them. The game was on tv in breakfast area and hotel tv. Very shady staff. Rooms were nice parking was ok. Breakfast staff could not keep up with amount guest on hand. We skipped breakfast for lack of availability.

But there are a lot of great places to get breakfast. All and all we loved it

Room was clean and staff was helpful. Taking advantage of the breakfast evens out the expense of the overnight parking fees. Having a couple more dryers would help a bit with availability.

The hotel in general was very clean and the location was perfect. The rooms were spacious and clean as well. The only thing I gotta say is that the “hot breakfast” is bad, I don’t know what kind of powder eggs they use but they feel like biting a wet sponge, there was always a liquid dripping from the egg, no matter the presentation, and the oatmeal was also very bad, and the it feels like they reuse the hard boiled eggs no one touches from the day before, and the rest of the options are not healthy at all, that was my main issue which is not a big deal for most people.

The minute I arrived Ashley Johnson made us feel welcomed, she went beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The only problem I had that the breakfast wasn’t great but overall I had an amazing time & my room had one of the best views

The staff was very friendly and courteous. Room was clean and for a family of 6 spacious. Breakfast was delicious and definitely will book again.

We stayed several days here and there were several problems they didnt fix. There was no blackout curtain in our room which was out for repair. Nothing was offered to help the situation (eg change of rooms or something temporary to cover the window.). Next is out of their control but lots of idiots with loud engines like to show off at night and the rooms can hear them as well as the parging garage noise across the street. Probably some of this is just downtown issues in general but bring ear plugs and eye covers for sleeping if you care about that sort of thing.

Excellent stay! The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety and everything was fresh specially make your own waffles which my son loved . The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location near the River Walk was perfect. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

We arrived and was told that they couldn’t break a 100. That tells me that you can only pay with a card. The staff was rude and unfriendly. Will not stay there again if we go back.

The breakfast was rather basic and a bit diasappointing and parking was very expensive.

Valet needs work - I don't think they are necessarily related to Home2 however they need some customer service training. The saving grace for Valet is the Manager Samuel. Samuel is a great dude! Helped smooth everything over and got the service right

Great location. Right off the riverwalk. Close to the tour boats.

Rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel is right off the river walk and close to restaurants and bars.

We didn't get the room we reserved because it wasn't clean yet. They gave us a different room.

Additionally, we requested a late checkout until 12:00 p.m., but that request was denied. I’ve never had an issue with a late check-out request of one hour at other hotels. The hotel could also benefit from improved cleanliness and overall maintenance. We have stayed at Home2 Suites properties in the past and have consistently had positive experiences, which makes this stay particularly disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below our expectations, and it is unlikely that we will choose this location again.

The room , location was great. What was terrible was bathroom for wheelchair child. We booked roll in shower. We got small Glass doors stand up shower with 1 grab bar. We did get shower chair. Trying to get him in / out was horrible. I DO NOT recommend for w/c guests. Free breakfast was terrible as well .

We enjoyed our spacious room and being on the Riverwalk was amazing!! However, when we requested towels, no one ever showed up, which was disappointing. But my grandkids enjoyed the variety of breakfast choices. The pool was fun despite it being quite shallow. I would definitely use this hotel again!!

Excellent stay. Staff were friendly. Pool was a bit small and shallow but overall top notch hotel on the riverwalk.

Staff was super helpful, breakfast was always hot and ready to go in the morning. It is right in the middle and we had access to everything Riverwalk.

Everything was amazing for me and my family. The pool was perfect. We where able to go in and out as we wanted to see the riverwalk. The breakfast was good but the sausage was definitely weird tasting.

Location was very good. Property, linens have a strong bleach smell. Pool is only 3 ft deep.

Everything at this hotel was great. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff was very helpful. The valet service was awesome. Our only complaint…the bacon at breakfast was not the best. Other than that the free breakfast was great as well. It had a lot of options. I would recommend staying at this property.

The breakfast was average, the eggs lacked flavor and the biscuits were quite dry. However, the waffle section was fun and unique.

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon. I called 4 times prior to arriving, once i even spoke to a staff member that knew me by name before i even spoke. And they assured me we would not be charged any kind of fees for coming in after 4am. Keep in mind we paid for Saturday just to make sure we had a room when we came in. We paid for the room for a whole day and arrived May 10th at almost 5 am. The man with glasses was sitting on his phone when we came in amd said "I didn't know you would be coming still so i canceled your reservations". And when i said i spoke to staff more than once he got really ugly and said "WELL that wasn't me!" I was shocked, upset because i was assured multiple time we would be fine coming in at that time. Then he said he might be able to re-reserve the room for our nights but it would cost $55 a night fee for checking in. And we asked why and he said it was for "indemnities". We just went to our room and went to bed bc he upset us so badly. After close to $600 then getting treated like that right when we got there was HORRIBLE. Then upon arrival we were informed the pool was under construction and not available. Which was a huge disappointment! We came to enjoy our honeymoon and the pool was one of the main amenities that we were looking forward to. There was no online warning about this construction either. The rooms were awesome! No trashbags in trashcans in rooms. Breakfast was not very good. No meats in the morning just eggs. Limited selections.

I would stay here again the staff was sweet and my room was clean and cold. I slept like a baby.

We arrived and were informed that the pool was closed for renovation. This was a huge disappointment for the kids. Area of the room between the beds smelled like feet and wet dog.

Other very unfortunate topics, breakfast was terrible... you can enter from two sides which the staff never mentioned and there are no signs. One side has a "better" breakfast than the other... meat was burnt, everything seemed old or re heated and set out. They did have a waffle maker that was good! The room was okay clean nothing great, shampoo was empty. Hard to rate this place better than 3/okay.

Housekeeping was great, swimming pool was out of order, Would have liked to known that before we stayed and also did not know you have to pay for parking another unexpected situation. Breakfast 5 out of 10.. Had a room with 2 queen, bed and one pullout sofa and the pullout sofa was more comfortable then the beds were.. Nice area close to decent restaurants, but won’t be staying there again..

Boring breakfast, staff had no clue where locations were and pool was small!

Housekeeping never showed up for two days despite asking specifically and being told they will. Whats worse is that when i asked reception to request to at least have our bed made, they just sent someone to give us extra sheets that’s it!

Very nice hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Stayed 2 nights in a king size suite so we had a king size bed and couch, full size fridge, microwave , dishes and a dishwasher. There was a curtain you could draw to separate the bed from sitting, kitchen and restroom area. Breakfast had nice hot and cold options. Very convenient to the Riverwalk. There is no parking so you have to use Valet or there is a parking garage across the street and open parking a block away. Not sure how many spaces are available or cost comparison.
