Friendly staff, older outdated building and clean linens. Not your modern hotel. I didn’t eat the breakfast so I can’t speak on that. It was ok. My relatives stayed in a newer Holiday Inn express if I come back, I’ll book that one.

The staff was kind to upgrade my reservation. However, the coating of bath tub was almost completely off.

Better than most places around. Everything was close by 10-16 minutes away. The breakfast was very good and good variety of items. The room was fairly clean, only downfall was the water didn’t drain properly.

I loved the service at the front desk , genuinely cared for our opinion and concerns. This made my stay very comforting and enjoyable. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared/organized. Not too over crowded or loud. Very well balanced I must say ! Definitely coming back to this holiday inn for my stay. I noticed the people sneezing and watery eyes due to the high amount of chlorine. There isn’t enough sitting areas or benches to place your items. But great environment over all.

El desayuno está bien y con buenas opciones, creo que es lo mejor, el hotel necesita deep clean, huele a viejo en los pasillos, las tinas fueron mal pintadas y la de nosotros se estaba pelando, peroel personal es bastante amable, siempre cada día nos hicieron la limpieza, las personas de la limpieza deberian limpiar profundamente los toiltes cada día y trapear los pisos, cro que se nota mucho que hacen las cosas de afan, en general si se va a quedar solo a dormir como nosotros que estuvimos solo para ir a los parques está bien o de trabajo, pero para pasar un día en el hotel no creo que funcione mucho

I appreciated the cleanliness, the attention from the staff, the closeness to the expressway. The only reason it didn’t receive a 10 was because we loved the availability to the pool and spa, but it was dangerously slippery walking on the tile. I was nervous of falling every time my nephew or I slipped because of the slickness.

Breakfast and location were good. We had a late check in and arrived at 11:30pm. We had 8 people including a baby. The elevator did not work. I had to ask again for rooms side by side. We were placed on the 4th floor and not side by side. The check in lady was rude and not accommodating. If it was not so late in the evening, I would have moved hotels. One of our rooms stunk like mold. The floor around the air conditioner was soaking wet. Again too late for me to argue about it last night.

Clean hotel, decent breakfast

The beds were comfortable but it was very disappointing that the hot tub was not working. The pool and the hot tub was two of the reasons why I chose to stay there. The faucet head for the bathtub was very loose and felt like it was going to fall off. There was an awful sour stench from whatever cleaning agent/ disinfectant or cloths/mops that they used to clean the rooms. None of the USB ports worked in my room either, they were all broken so I could not charge my phone or smart watch. I had to charge my devices in my car or use my portable battery. Unfortunately all the bad things out number the good and staying there was a less than desirable experience. The only other good things I can think of is that the staff are all very friendly and that the location of the hotel is in close proximity to restaurants, the expressway and a massive movie theater. When I checked out on the last day, the front desk staff ask me how was my stay so I made them aware of the aforementioned issues. They expressed their gratitude for making them aware of the issues with the room (however I find it hard to believe that they are unaware of these things). They told me that they will fix the things that need to be fixed in the room, so that when I return, I could request that room to stay in order to see that they had corrected the problems. However, I do not plan to return there nor will I ever again stay at a holiday inn express.

Check-in, however, got our stay off to a frustrating start. When we arrived, there was a line of guests waiting, but no staff at the front desk. After waiting approximately 15–20 minutes, an employee finally arrived and explained they had run out of room keys and had been looking for more. The staff was friendly throughout our stay, but unfortunately, the room itself was a different story. It had a strong musty odor that reminded us of mildew, damp socks, or even old potatoes. There were several maintenance issues, including broken outlet covers, dirty walls, and a sticky floor that made us feel like we needed to keep our shoes on the entire time. The bathroom was by far the biggest disappointment. The bathtub had peeling paint throughout, it drained so slowly that water pooled around our feet during showers, and the water pressure was extremely poor. While the air conditioner technically worked, we couldn't adjust the temperature, and the room became uncomfortably hot overnight. Overall, the friendly staff and clean common areas were appreciated, but the condition of the room and the poor maintenance made it difficult to enjoy our stay. With better attention to the guest rooms and a smoother check-in process, this hotel could provide a much better experience.

The location was excellent and very convenient to SeaWorld, which we really appreciated. However, our main concern was the presence of mold in several areas of the room, including the high ceiling, around the windows, and along the sides of the beds. Addressing this issue would greatly improve the overall guest experience.

The fire alarm went off 2 nights in a row while I was sleeping. The pool has slippery tile floors making it unsafe to just walk around it

Very nice check in and out

Our room condition was fair. Our room (222) smelled very humid as we entered. Wooden floor was sticky. Tub spout connection was very loose with 2 large cracks on wall from it. Shower water pressure was low, not sure because of it. Water temperature went down fast when I was taking a shower too-I kept the highest temp but it was just warm enough. It was good enough for quick 1 night stay.

The ease of finding the hotel was good but the sign for the hotel is near to the steakhouse next door. We and several others pulled into the steakhouse and had to U-turn out to the proper drive way. The staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous. Their foreign accent was somewhat difficult to understand at times but they were always customer oriented. The hot breakfast was well stocked and attended to. The hotel was neat and clean. However, in our first room our ice bucket not cleaned and had a blob of trash in it, It didn’t have a tv remote, and during the night part of the ceiling fell down because it was wet. We were on the top floor. We rearranged the furniture to keep it dry and put a trash can under the drip. There was mold in the bathroom ceiling. The electrical power was out for hours during the night. This meant no heating or cooling, no battery charging for our next busy day and no electricity for my oxygen machine. The next day we were moved to another room across the hall. Our son’s truck was vandalized in the hotel parking lot during the storm and hotel stated it is not their responsibility. Also because of the loss of power they had no camera coverage. All in all it is a good hotel when it is not raining.

The hotel was great the only thing is that there is no control in the Pool area or hot tub. We wanted to relax in the hot tub and there were kids jumping in and out of the hot tub with no supervision.

Parking convenient and very attentive staff

The breakfast there was also good and there was always someone there keeping the area clean and sanitized. The area around the hotel is great with lots of restaurants around it and everything is pretty close so you don’t have to drive too far on those crazy San Antonio streets! And their parking spaces are very large so all the big trucks were spaced apart a good distance! No trouble pulling out of luggage’s and car seats! Thank you for a great stay!

The night time staff was more sitting around in the lobby then being at the front desk. The elevator was dirty and sounded a little creepy. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The mattress was also much to hard for my liking. That said, I would go again and just request a room farther from the main area. The pool was nice, though i felt a bit too much chlorine (my eyes were burning some). Breakfast was fantastic.

Small hotel, breakfast ends at 9:30am, it would've been nice if it could have ended at 10am. Floors near elevator were dirty, there was a eaten chicken wing in the floor of the elevator all night. Pool was green not clear. Parking was good, room was clean, beds were comfortable. Housekeeping was very nice. Good place for the price I paid.

One of the best stays I ever had! Friendly, courteous, fast paced check in, beds were comfy, nearby airport, nearby lackland afb (reason for our stay), nearby shops and restaurants, best breakfast food we looked fwd to eating each morning and the general manager is all hands on deck- went in to cook the bacon when it ran out and line started building up, we really didn’t mind waiting. Look fwd to our next stay here if ever in San Antonio again!!

Pretty nice hotel. Cleanliness could have been better in common areas but the room was clean and comfortable. Parking was good and plentiful. Hotel was close to shopping and restaurants. Staff was courteous.

The first time I went to shower there was black hair in the walls and the curtains. The floors were dirty. They hadn't been swept in a couple of days. They didn't clean the room because they said we had put out a "Do not disturb sign". We didn't. Would not recommend

There was a piece of metal sticking out from the bottom of one of the beds that we kept catching our ankles on. The continental breakfast was disappointing. Not much variety and cold.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, NOT TO MENTION THEIR ROOMS STINK AND THE MANAGER DID NOT WANT TO GIVE A DISCOUNT EVEN AFTER NOTICING THE ROOM KEY DEVICE WASNT WORKING. OOH AND PLEASE FIX YOUR DAMN SIGN OUTSIDE, POOR MAINTENANCE!!

Had a really great experience staying at the Holiday Inn in San Antonio! The staff was awesome — friendly and helpful throughout. The WiFi was strong and reliable, and the location couldn’t be better — just minutes from SeaWorld. Would definitely stay here again!
