Mold, very damp and humid room. Stains everywhere. Holes in the door. Taping and mud work coming off the walls. Dirty floors and bathroom. It smells very bad. Even the toilet paper was damp. I would never stay in another holiday inn. It was not worth the money. It was a very miserable night. Very sad it’s not refundable or at least half. No one should pay that much and be put in a room with mold on the ceiling, ac leaking onto the floor, construction work was very bad, pealing off the walls. Stains carpet and towels. Very disappointed

We chose this location to be near our favorite San Antonio restaurant; La Fogata. Location right off I-10 made it easy in/easy out. That being said, there were pros and cons to the property itself. Pros: front desk staff. Both young men at check in/check out were very nice! The room itself was spacious, quiet, AC blew cold, and it was spotlessly clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable (maybe a bit softer than hubby likes) and we both slept well. The pool looked inviting, though we did not swim (too hot). Cons: the entire property appears worn around the edges and could use a good revamp. Maybe there's a shortage of maintenance / cleaning staff? While the room was spotless, not so much for the rest of the property, including the single elevator which really needed a good scrub/disinfecting. I felt like I needed to wash my hands each time following button pushes. Breakfast was underwhelming - not a big fan of powdered eggs; however, it was nice to have bacon! IMO, for touting a hot breakfast, choices were limited. Overall, the price was certainly right, and the room was good for a night's stay. Since the room was clean, we'd probably stay again, though next time we'd opt for breakfast at Jim's instead.

Dirty and smelly Smell, no cable TV and dirty inside and outside

From the moment we pulled through the front gate it was not what I expected of a Holiday Inn property. The gate was broken off, the parking lot has cracks and breaks throughout. The area in which this hotel is located has quite the array of drug addicts frequenting the gas station across from the hotel, and the panhandlers and unhoused individuals were sleeping outside of the hotel grounds, under the overpasses and on the sidewalks. The hotel inside is outdated, has a sewer or stagnant water smell when you walk in the lobby and throughout the hallways. The 2nd floor ice machine area has mold on the walls next to the ice machine. The machine itself has rust along the edges and door which made us leary of how safe the ice inside was for consumption. The toilet in my room ran throughout my stay. The shower head needs to be replaced. It is old, has hard water buildup, doesn't spray well. The shower floor felt extremely rough and gritty underfoot. The white coating in the bottom of the shower was peeling. The bathroom sink did not drain properly, so water would back up in the sink as soon as you turned it on. Staff was friendly, but the overall aesthetic, and comfortability did not match the standards of the Holiday Day Inn brand. I don't recommend guests book this hotel until there have been some major updates to the property. The area outside of the gate is not the property's fault, but what you find inside the gates is the responsibility of the hotel to maintain.

The room I got was terrible, the floor was wet , roaches , hair all over the floor, the mattress has a stain on it and the smell from the mold is horrible. Over all bad experience.

The common areas were seemingly clean too. The towels were clean and the room itself was mostly clean. My bathtub was partially stopped up, so showers would result in me standing in about 2 inches of water. The shower head was one where you could choose your stream type, except it did not work. The toilet also constantly ran. The carpet felt gross to walk on. The room's phone also did not work and when I tried to call the front desk on my cellphone for a question about my stay, they never answered. I called several times and never got answered by staff or an answering machine. When I told the clerk of the issues with my room, he apologized for the inconvenience, but nothing was done to fix the problems during my stay. I would have liked to atleast have the tub's partial clog cleared, but I just had to showing in standing water. The 4th floor hallway and common areas had a broken AC unit so it was uncomfortably warm going to and from your room. The breakfast was kind of a minimal effort affair. Fruit was predominantly just apples and they didn't have enough tongs for the hot trays. The dining area also was seldom cleaned.

The TV and AC in the small room didn’t work; AC where the Queen beds are leaked.

It was ok but after driving almost 6 hours to get to the hotel wanting to check in since it was already 3pm, was the only disappointing part since the room wasn’t ready, we waited around the lobby area, but didn’t mind the room once we were able to go into the room, it was conveniently located where we had our weekend plans.

You get what you pay for. Cheap accommodation, staff is friendly, free breakfast. The property itself is a little dilapidated. Graffiti carved into the elevator door, broken tiles, janky window shades, just seems like not enough money is going into upkeep and repairs overall. Also not a fan of the driveway entrance/exit. Otherwise, sheets were crisp and clean, bathroom was clean, the place served its purpose as a place to sleep for a few days.

I was not able to use the room because I was running late for the check in and it was like a no show and the staff couldn't do anything they suck

I notified hotel staff on night one. No maintenance person came to check on the issue. On night two I notified the staff of the toilet issue again and was told no maintenance staff was available. I decided to ask for a plunger and snake to clear the blockage. Prior to me fixing the issue my family had to get keys from the front office to use a guest restroom for 2 nights.

My family and I were put in a room with inoperable ac. When I advised the staff I was told the room has ac issues, yet it continues to be rented out. If this was not an issue the stay would have been great

The front desk attendant was very rude and the bathroom in the room was dirty. The breakfast was good.

Nothing was as the website booking said the property was old and dirty looking in a bad area.The elevator was dirty trash on floor wasn’t even wiped down the carpets in the hallways wasn’t vacuumed at all.The king room I was assigned was siting over the washer room loud noise in the bathroom like a washer coming off the hinges the bathroom floor had hair looked like it wasn’t swept.Moved to another room had huge stains on carpet the big towels and hand towels were stained glad I always bring my own personal thing when I travel and the shower didn’t work had to take a stand up bath.The pool area looked terrible nothing looked like the pictures online at all.

A couple of minor issues. The switch for light/air exhaust in the bathroom was broken and couldn’t turn on. The ice dispensing machine on the third floor did not work. Other than these two minor issues the hotel was very nice.

It was draining and some hair in the drainage, then we transferred to room 415 from 409 , it's almost the same but we didn't bother to tell the front desk because I'm sure all rooms are the same plus we were both tired from driving from Houston we just needed some rest . But I give kudos to the guy at the front desk , he's so nice and helpful, we checked in June 24-25.

Very very bad experience here. Rooms and hotel are very dirty and really old. The keys to rooms don’t work! They don’t inform you about the breakfast hours. They also charge you for laundry machines that don’t work. Parking is very packed. Very dirty pool. They also don’t provide you any toiletry in rooms. Very very dirty and unhygienic hotel of holiday inn I have ever seen. Do not recommend this hotel at all. Please save yourself some time and peace by not booking this hotel.

Our toilet did clog up. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. Jolene was super helpful and really knew what she was doing. The location was really central to everything we had planned. Especially the wonderland of America, for a kings of horror popup.

Police told us this happens here fairly often, which is very concerning since nothing in the reviews mentioned safety issues. There appears to be little to no security on the property. We chose this hotel expecting a safe stay, but left dealing with damage and stress. If safety matters to you, I would not recommend staying here.

The cheapest hotel I usually stay it is the holiday inns. So take that for what it is. However this was more like a motel 6. Everything was outdated. Found a face towel that was out of place and damp as if it was used. Stains on the carpets. Probably a 28in tv. People hanging out in the parking lot made out truck feel unsafe. Just wasn’t up to par with the rest of the holiday inns I’ve stayed at. Very unsatisfying.

Do not stay at this hotel. We woke up today on June 14,2026 and 5 trucks had the back driver side window busted out. With a note of a guy who can fix our windows. Do not stay here if you drive a truck. There is no security in the parking lot.

Very outdated and parking lot was treacherous. Continental breakfast was very limited selection and what was available was dried out and juice machine broken. Not terrible stay but definitely overpriced for the value exchange

The room that was given to us had a terrible small. I also found a bottle cap from a beer and piece of chicken strip. So, the room was not properly cleaned. The floor felt sticky and the carpet felt humid. When I spoke the person at the front regarding possible getting a different room they said they were all booked. I had a reservation for 3 nights and only stayed 1. They did refund me for the other two nights and we went to another hotel.

Also didn’t appreciate having to do a deposit if I was only emailed a notification that if I was resident within 50 miles of the property then I would have to do a 250 cash deposit. I was also told it was a 50$ deposit not 50$ a night . Cleaning staff was friendly.

Breakfast the eggs, bacon briskets was cold . the juices machine was not working. the equipment to Toste was not working. the parking was good clean rooms but the cart to transport the loges there was only one but it was not on the front desk we have to carry our luges in 3 trios.

Our A/C was so loud I couldn’t really sleep. This was my biggest annoyance with the hotel. For the price it should’ve been a better experience. When we arrived to the room it was hot and musty because they leave the ac off. And then the fridge was unplugged. And it just froze everything. No gravy for the biscuits unlike other holiday inns I’ve been in and the sausage was cold. We got breakfast at 7am. So yeah.. Carpets had stains and so did the extra chair in the room. Water for shower wouldn’t get hot just decent. Toilet takes forever to flush. You have to sit there holding the button. Very inconvenient. Entrance to parking lot was HORRIBLE. Only one push cart for luggage in the whole hotel. So had to carry all of our stuff in and out. Only one elevator?? Which was dirty on the inside by the buttons. Also the guy when we checked in acted like he didn’t want to be bothered. Will not be staying here again.

Overall, the property is in a terrible location with homeless around also in bad condition they were multiple stains throughout our room. Our room alone had a leak in the carpet. I let the front desk know they didn’t do anything about it. The furniture in the breakfast area is so dirty. The elevators are all scratched up. Very poor maintenance.

First room was dirty and bathroom door was stuck. 2nd room was cleaner than 1st but still not great. Door to that room wouldnt open with key. Front desk had to open for us each time. Staff was nice and helpful. There was nothing they can do. That was the worst Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed at.

The stay was okay overall, but there were a few cleanliness issues that stood out. I found hair on the sink and on the toilet seat, which was disappointing. The shower could also use some improvement—the water never really got hot, more just warm. On the positive side, parking was easy and convenient. With better attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this could be a much better stay.

Looked nothing like the photos from the website. Some of the tiles in our room were broken and poking out, there was mold in the restroom, and the pullout bed from couch was dirty and stained. Only good thing was the staff was nice and tried to be accommodating

This is definitely not a normal holiday inn Express it looks like a lower class hotel that was branded as a Holiday Inn express. It is definitely not a hotel I would recommend

No hot tub, filled in with concrete. Pool freezing. Pool chairs were worn and had holes in them. Breakfast was really bad and Breakfast staff was reluctantly "helpful" when i asked for water that wasnt provided. She was on her phone the entire time and seemed bothered i asked a question. Room was ok.

The hallways look like they haven’t been vacuumed in a couple of weeks. Down by the ice machine there was dirt and trash, it was old looking. In the elevator, the floor corners had dirt and hair stuck to the floor in every corner. The inside doors and button area was extremely dirty with smugness and prints like it had been there for months on end. Had to clean the left over food debris on the tables at breakfast. The refrigerator that housed the milk and yogurt was below recommended temperature, everything was barely cool. Nice place but needs very much house keeping.

This is not a normal Holiday Inn. It’s on a very busy interstate, the hotel seems very rundown and old, although it did not seem dirty. I was just expecting a little more.

The room we got had mold on the restroom floor, the bed sheets were dirty, the breakfast was mediocre at best. No pancakes or waffles, cheap choices. We heard EVERYTHING going on outside the room.

This property needs an upgrade. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi didn't work, there needs to be a better entrance into and exit out of the property, and there was only one ice maker in the whole four-story building. I don’t think that I will stay at this location again.

I parked on the street since I had a big truck it was all great didn’t have any issues.

Everything was great except the hotel only has one luggage cart to use for carrying your bags to our room which means me and my wife had to carried our bags to our room plus we had to carry them back to our car! NOT HAPPY!

Check in was incredibly slow. The poor guy was trying but must’ve very new and was all by himself. He could have used some help. The room is spacious and looks like it was missing furniture. Big empty space. It’s an older facility. It is gated and you have to have a code to leave which made it secure but I wondered if I was in a bad part of the city.

Terrible gym equipment as well! Very misleading photos! There is no dumbbell rack as shown in the photos! False advertisement for healthy people who like to workout!

Staff support was highly lacking! Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience that put me in harms way due to the staffs negligence. I wasn’t going to nitpick at the poorly constructed, broken road exiting the building. The staff threw away my brother’s personal belongings that were in a large white bag into an even bigger black garbage bag with other trash bags. I didn’t notice his bag missing until 1AM and didn’t have any support from the staff. I had to go to the dumpster by myself in the dark since the lights didn’t light up the entire parking lot at night. I had to find a piece of wood to ravage through a large dumpster full of several black bags. I thank God in the name of Jesus there weren’t any raccoons or other critters that could’ve harmed me. The first bag I pulled out was food. The second was luckily the bag from my room and I was able to retrieve my brothers belongings. The staff didn’t care at all. I am disgusted and severely disappointed by this hotels staff.

I arrived at 1 or 2 in the morning and they made me go find an ATM so that I could give them a $250.00 deposit. Something I have never had to do anywhere. I was left very unsettled. The next morning the ceiling in my shower was leaking through the light fixture and they tried to put me in a crappy room with a door that had the locked ripped out by a crow bar. It was the worsr experience I have ever had.
