Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Antonio - Frost Bank Ctr

It was very clean , cold AC, good breakfast and cleaned while we were gone!

We loved our stay....very clean and quiet.

I had a good experience the first stay at this hotel. The second stay was a nightmare. First room given to us had a puddle of water near the a/c unit and strong mold odor. We moved to another room and the same smell was present. This building has a leakage problem and the rooms stink of mold sitting water. The microwave plate does not lock into place so it slid out as I was getting my food and it shattered on the floor. I extended my stay and they charged me a second deposit. Almost $500 for 3 nights in a moldy room. We had to buy candles and incense to block the stench. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast and the staff was nice. We will not return to this location anytime soon. We may give it one more chance in about a year or so. Hopefully they have the leaking problems fixed and the rooms don’t smell like mildew and stinky socks. Overpriced

Breakfast very good. Variety was good. Service at desk amiable. A little more cleanliness. Shower heads and then their were what looked like roaches and a cricket somewhere in the room.

All was well with the exception of the elevator not working. Staff was apologetic for the elevator issues.

The staff, The one gentleman at the front desk was nice and helpful. The General Manager, was rude and had an attitude. She was nice until I engaged with her and had questions. She has triggers apparently and does not handle situations in a professional manner. The room was extremely humid. The air conditioning or the vent in the bathroom wasn't working correctly. I brought it to the manger's attention. She sent someone to inspect. Dirty shoe prints were left on the bath tub. Very unprofessional. I stayed Monday - Friday and wish I would have changed hotels on the first night.

Breakfast was great and the staff were amazing but the bed was horrible. Made my back hurt terribly

Excellent helpful staff and good breakfast. Single Elevator which was like an old one without programming so have to wait for sometime.

Well maintained with friendly staff members. The furnishings were comfortable. The property had a fence around it that made it more secure.

Everything was excellent from check in to check out. The room was beautiful and beds comfortable. It was a short overnight stay but very refreshing!!! Would highly recommend this hotel and will be returning myself. The location and surrounding stores and restaurants are also excellent!! May God continue to Bless the Hotel, it's Staff and Guest!!

The rooms smell musty and they are very humid and have a funny smell to them. You can hear the traffic from the freeway as if there are no walls. Management is not helpful and they are very rude. I couldn’t sleep because of how loud the traffic was. Was one of the worst nights. Elevators are hot and look very old.

This was my second stay at this location and it’s my first choice to stay in San Antonio. It is immaculately kept and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast too! Very convenient to Freeman Coliseum. Highest possible recommendation.

Very close to the Alamodome but still in a quiet area, away from the big traffic and congestion area. Easy to find but have to take exit south of the hotel and double back through the neighborhood to get to the entrance. Just be aware of that. That is done with fencing against the neighborhood side for safety, I understand. Nice staff, great breakfast. All appreciated.

The location was great, it was well within city and the direction to our next destination. Breakfast was good, not great - I believe we had walked towards breakfast between 8-9, and sausage was dry and hard, eggs were barely warm and very dry, biscuits were hard,refill for coffee creamer took some time. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, would defiantly be adding this location to our go to list if we are ever in the area again. As stated above, just breakfast could improve some. Availability was there, but not very "fresh" as one would hope. Conditioner bottle seemed semi empty, and would not pump much out.

The room was so comfortable. The only problem was one of the hand towels looked used but it was only two of us so I wasn’t too worried. Will be back.

OUR STAY WAS EXCELLENT. THE ONLY THING WAS THAT WE DID NOT GET CLEAN TOWELS. WE HAD TO ASK FOR THEM. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GREAT

No hot water in the room and the management was rude and wouldn’t even have the decently to come and talk to me when I was trying to work something out with her. Will not stay at this location again.

I could only make it to breakfast once,because I had to be somewhere very early.I asked if I could have something I could take with me. The desk clerk was able to give me some juice but nothing to eat. It would have been nice to be have something to take with me.

Great staff, clean room, good breakfast with healthy options. Only issue was the battery for the lock on my door went dead and had to wait for someone to get there and get it open.

The staff was amazing, hotel was clean, the hot tub had too much chlorine. I had two rooms and one smelled a little stale or like mold. Other than that it was an amazing stay.

From the friendly staff at check-in, to the cleanliness of the room and hallways, everything was excellent, including breakfast. We will definitely book here again next time.

The hotel itself was clean, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating for our business needs. The breakfast buffet had a very nice variety and was spread out throughout the area so guests weren't congested in one area. We weren't familiar with the location, so we were unsure about the safety of the surrounding area, however, the parking lot is fenced and seemed to be secure.

Unfortunately, my children coughed throughout the night, which made us uncomfortable, but we didn’t want to cause any issues during our stay. I decided to wait for the survey to share my concerns. It might be a while before I consider staying here again.

The staff should male sure if the room has any issues before letting out. The bathroom door does not lock. No hot water. Even if we tell the staff, they say they do not have maintenance which is not acceptable at all as this is not a motel.

Loved it! Rooms are clean. Staff is nice and breakfast was good. They even have to go plates so you can take to your room. They have Dove for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion available.

Had to get key cards rescanned every day, elevator not working, told we could check in early by phone, drove 6 hrs to be turned away. Lights in bathroom didn't work, shower went from hot to cold.

I loved it was by restaurant's and a Walmart. After our concert we were able to eat at a 24 hour Whataburger. Very beautiful rooms and excellent staff

Shower is very bad, when every one close their door we have to wake up as it is our door ,full noisy and disturbing

The stay was Great! Beds comfy, shower clean, AC Great, the only thing that was a little inconvenient was the Elevator Stopped working & I was on the 4th floor but I understand that is not something the staff could control. All in All it was a Great Stay!

Receptionist wasn’t very welcoming. Elevator wasn’t working kinda bad while we was on 3rd floor.

The proximity of this hotel to the Frost Bank Center is fantastic. Everything was going well until the elevator went out on Saturday. Come Monday we had to make several trips up and down the stairs at check out.

The elevator was out of order but overall it was excellent!

Front desk staff (Maria) was very rude and the elevator was out the entire time we were there. No compensation or apologies were given.

I enjoy every time I come here with or without my grandkids. Clean and the staff is so nice here. Bot as expensive and really close to the Alamo. Less than 15 minutes. Same thing with the Frost Bank Center.

Property did construction next to our room and did not let us know they were doing it.

Very nice, right off interstate, good food options. Our room was by the stairs and the door would slam every time it shut-so woke us up a few times, also must have had a small child above us who seemed to run back and forth all night. Nothing you could do about the child, but it was a nice hotel, comfortable beds.
