Reviews
The hotel has a great location on the Riverwalk and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. However, there are issues with cleanliness, parking, and some rooms have poor views and maintenance problems.
- Great location on the Riverwalk
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Cleanliness issues in some rooms and bathrooms
- Parking is expensive and not always available

Every thing was beautiful but the pool wasn’t deep enough

We liked the location on the Riverwalk and it was very close to the places we wanted to visit. So we were able to get an Uber within minutes of requesting a ride. The room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We were able to take our small dog with us. There was only one actual chair to sit in. Another arm chair would have been much appreciated because one chair leaves the other person sitting on the bed, and that gets kinda old after a couple of days. I booked a balcony room overlooking the Riverwalk, which we got but it was on the first floor and there was a stone wall blocking being able to see the river well. There were no cups in the bathroom.

I love that the hotel was really pretty from outside and inside. The valet people were really nice when we arrived and helped us out with getting our things out the car. The pool was really nice and loved the location of it. It has a perfect view of the Riverwalk. I really hated the fact that the elevator that is used to get down to the riverwalk was not working. When I was looking for hotels I was looking for one right at the riverwalk so I could just walk down and not worry about walking on the streets to get to it since I had 2 kids under the age of 2. Well our first day we tried getting down and it wouldn’t work then I go ask upfront and they said they would tell maintenance to turn it on, then we were waiting outside for like more than 5 minutes and it was really hot and I went back up front and I asked again and the way they reacted seemed they had forgotten about it and then they told me it didn’t work.

This is the second stay we as a family have had at this location and it has been great both times. The location is convenient. The breakfast is pretty decent. My kids really enjoyed the pool. We will definitely utilize this location for our next trip to the Riverwalk.

Room was great and area was quiet at night so I definitely got a good night rest. Hotel was clean and spacious.

The room we got was probably one of the smaller rooms we've ever had but everything about this property made this place one of the nicest we've visited. Everything was so clean. Weve been wanting to come back but cannot find availability. We look forward to visiting again.

Nothing. Staff was not friendly either. Our check in was at 4:00 PM we did not get our room until almost 6:00 PM. I requested a river view, did not receive that.

Everything was amazing we hadn't stayed in a hotel for a while but we loved it - as a matter of fact i would love to go back soon :)

Beautiful clean rooms with the most comfortable beds! Mini fridge was a plus! Great balcony view of the river. Walking distance to the river, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast included! We had a great stay here. We will definitely book again!!

Great hotel 10/10 recommend

Very nice room! Breakfast was subpar. We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere on second day.

The location of course and the view was good. The price.

Chose this hotel for the proximity to the Majestic Theater (concert) and relatively reasonable price. The hotel itself is fine, nothing special. The AC was able to cool the room during hot and very humid weather, but it is very loud and when it shuts off during the night it goes from very loud to very quiet - no option for a constant fan. Bathroom is fine, shows some wear, but no fart fan. Daily housekeeping was good. The breakfast area and lobby were absolutely insanely busy the mornings we were there so chose other options. Opted for the self park in the garage across the street to save money as valet is $60/day. Beds are fine but pillows are those awful little square ones and sheets had major pilling. Most disappointing thing about this hotel is that it is flanked by abandoned and derelict buildings, so the "view" is of urban blight. Chick-fil-A across the street was a big win.

Nice and spacious room right off the river walk.

Ease of access to the Riverwalk! Clean and great breakfast!!! Nice spacious room

Our experience was not the best, we booked a room with Riverwalk view and Balcony but when we got there we didn't get the balcony and we were told the hotels tends to overbook and the reception person told us he just did his job and it wasn't his fault and that we could complain about it the next day since the manager wasn't available, the next day they told us they couldn't accommodate us and that maybe after 4 they could see if we could get a balcony room but that it was not a for sure thing, but that we had to be there so they could let us know, which we couldn't do as we had a whole day planned ahead of us and we couldn't just drive back to the hotel just for that.. so the 3 nights we had to get to the room and be locked in without being able to step out since we had no balcony, we were offered 500 Hilton points which are about $2 to $3 worth.. a complete joke if you ask me, so disappointed that they could not fulfill what we had initially booked for and instead was not offered any refund or any other accommodations..

Love the distance to the riverwalk and the breakfast staff was awesome parking sucks but the hotel was clean and restrooms were awsomes
- 5/5
Everything was perfect that we’d stay there every time we decide to go to San Antonio, Tx. Very peaceful and relaxing. The management was overall the best part of the trip to always make us feel like home away from home. The views are amazing as well in the rooms with river view and balcony and the breakfast is delicious as well. 10/10 recommend this hotel!

Very nice suite setup
- 3.5/5
It was close to the river, perfect location; the boat picked us up at the hotel; very good breakfast We have to pay 60 dollars/ each night for parking so we need to consider this; anyway, we know that… the thing we didn’t know is the view from the room was the worst I've ever had in my entire life, and I've traveled to many places. I thought the worst would be a view of a parking lot or rooftops, but this one took the cake. I've never been so scared of having that view from a hotel room. It's so easy to fix, even if the property isn't theirs; they could modify the space so it's not so disastrous… When I asked if they could change the room, the front desk girl told me that's what I had paid for! So rude… Nobody wants to pay for this view.

Valet wasn’t the best
- 3/5
As far as basic hotels go it was fine. The room was small but clean. I was not thrilled that the hotel was also a Home 2 location. If I had known I would have chosen another place. Also the pool is only 3 foot deep, that should be advertised for people on vacation. It was tiny shallow and not at all what we expected should be advertised “kid or wading pool only”. Our view was a back alley and while it did look like an apocalypse backdrop we actually kind of enjoyed that. The elevators were either broken or stuck on a floor. We used the stairs the whole time we were there and we were there 4 days. Breakfast was eh. Good location. Parking price was outrageous. Got parking a block away for less than half.

Hotel located on the quiet side of the riverwalk. Clean and helpful staff. Valet parking is expensive. Use a public parking only 5 minutes by walking.
- 1/5
Bad experience! Gave us the worse room with the most horrible outside view ! Looking forward to an actual riverwalk view but instead we got a view to the most old cracked building ever seen in my life! Called front desk to ask about trying to set up tv to watch a soccer game….we were told she didn’t know how to help us and everyone else were out to lunch !! Soooo….”you would have to figure it out”! Were her exact words!! Never again!!

It was good Parking for that nice of hotel and the price you pay for the room and then $70 dollars more to park not worth a. Damn

Location is perfect for our visit to San Antonio and our grandson's graduation from BMT Lockland Air Force Base.
- 3/5
There is no parking for this hotel at least not no free parking! I paid an extra hundred and something dollars for 3 night parking in a parking garage across the street from the hotel! The hotel rooms were decent. I would not recommend this hotel mainly because of the parking. staff seemed nice and friendly though I have to say.
- 5/5
Staff was awesome.. well informed and very helpful.

Clean room. Excellent location

They have clean rooms. Best breakfast and they have best staff.

Great hotel outside of town. Very quiet. Very friendly staff. Rooms are older with some wear. Rooms could use and upgrade, but rooms were clean and quiet.
- 2/5
There was bugs in the room.
- 5/5
Clean room, the staff was helpful and quick. Parking was convenient.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and smelled good. Everyone was very nice. Just one lady at breakfast time denied me a carton of milk when I asked for one. It was a few minutes past breakfast time, but it was not that hard to hand me a carton of milk for my kid. Other than that, everything was excellent.
- 5/5
Everything was great, from the staff, to the room, to the breakfast. We love staying in this hotel!
- 5/5
Ms. Yolanda was absolutely amazing with accommodating.
- 5/5
Great room. Great hotel. Staff was friendly for the most part. Valet staff was phenomenal!! Hotel was very clean. The only drawback is location for anyone with disabilities that include mobility issues. It was very difficult to navigate the Riverwalk from this hotel. If you plan to stay here, and you require assistance with walking (rollator, wheelchair), I would suggest going to the city website to get the map of elevators and ramps to map out your path for the Riverwalk ahead of time. Many of the restaurants helped us find elevators, as well. Just know that you will find yourself on the opposite side of the Riverwalk for many of the restaurants and stores. On a positive note, the walk in shower was perfect.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean and the staff was super nice. The only downfall is you still have to pay for parking even though you are a guest at the hotel.

My kids room had windows facing abandoned buildings where a ladder was propped onto the fire escape for homeless people to go in and out of the building. We closed the blinds, but did hear and see people coming in and out of the abandoned building late at night. Valet area out front is tiny and it takes at least 30 minutes to get your car. I recommend paying to self park across the street. Hallways were hot but rooms were decent. It had a well equipped weight room and nice pool.
- 4/5
I did try to go downstairs to get some milk for our kids but found out the cafe fridge was locked and no one was able to unlock it.
- 5/5
Very nice and convinent
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay. The balcony was nice to sit out in the late evening. Hotel is very close to the prime Riverwalk area and restaurants. The breakfast the next morning was really good with a wide variety.
- 2/5
The hotel was okay and it is on Riverwalk but on the far end. It is not near any of the restaurants or bars. The hotel was clean and room was spacious. Not sure I would stay here again though.

This is our 2nd time to stay here in 12 months. We love the location and how easy it is to get around the riverwalk. The rooms are nice and clean, we really like everything about the hotel. My only hiccup was the breakfast. It closes at 10 and both Saturday & Sunday we got there at 9:40 there was barely any food on one side and we didn’t know there was food on the other side because the sign pointed to the right. We stood in line behind 2 people for 20 minutes trying to make waffles but the batter was to thick to drain so Saturday we didn't get waffles. Then Sunday the same thing happened but someone told us the batter was better on the other side. We went around and found there was a whole other side but they'd unplugged the waffle makers. There was a pile of sausage patties and scrambled eggs so I grabbed a plate and used the spatula to get the sausages but the attendant was starring at me in shock like I'd just jerked it away from her. I set it down and moved to the eggs and she said "thank you have a nice day" then I noticed she'd already taken the spatula from the eggs and realized why she was giving me a strange look for using it, apparently "thank you have a nice day meant, "you're not welcome here after waiting in line 20 minutes because it's 10:05". So I grabbed a plastic fork and got some eggs on my plate. I was really surprised the breakfast was such a fiasco because everything else with the hotel had been great, but the breakfast was definitely frustrating.

Everyone was so helpful, and professional. Gave us tips about what’s good to do in the area. Valet guys did an awesome job!
- 1/5
I don’t actually know how the hotel was. Apparently there’s a basketball culture that we knew nothing about. We were stuck in traffic (me and three children) for 2 hours a mile from the hotel. Finally I had to get my kids somewhere so at 1am I started to search for a smaller city with an opening. It took 45 minutes. I got my kids to bed and got 5 hours of sleep myself. Then called the hotel. “per policy” my hotel was cancelled automatically at midnight due to no show. I was driving in traffic I neither expected nor could I navigate with my family. Calling the hotel during that stress didn’t even occur to me. They wouldn’t budge. Hotels.com staff tired as well. They cancelled all 3 nights and kept all of my money stating “policy”. All of this unfolded in front of the hotel. 0 cares given. We were 17 hrs from home, and out all of that money. The staff was extremely rude and short and acted like they couldn’t understand why I could not manage to call them in the chaos. The said it was my fault because I booked through this website they wouldn’t help.

Great experience
- 3/5
Well let’s start off we arrive at the to let them know we are there. Room wasn’t ready so we waiting no call no reassurance they were working on it so I go back at five let them know if been waiting two hours now. We ask for a key to access the pool since I had five kids with me eager to go to the pool and enjoy the river walk. Once we were at the pool my kids got metal shards stuck in their feet and hands even my two year old got stuck in the elbow. We informed the front desk and they acted like it was a non issue. So I’m very upset with our stay that we hoped would be beautiful exciting and fun turned to be annoyed and painful. They told me they would reimburse me points but at check out they said a manager had to approve them and haven’t called me yet.
- 2/5
The pool was full of kids so we did not get to enjoy that. After the second day we asked for our room to be cleaned... no one came. Seen a lady in the hallway with a cart she did not speak well English so she didn't understand us. Breakfast was not filled right away. Only thing we liked was the location was fine.
- 4/5
The hotel was great, staff was friendly, location close and convenient to the riverwalk and Historic Market. Only thing to realize is the neighboring buildings on each side are abandoned buildings. It’s not a deal breaker bc the hotel keeps their property maintained but can be an eye sore for some who have they windows face the abandoned buildings. That being said I would definitely rebook with them whenever I comeback to San Antonio
- 5/5
We had an amAzong time. The hotel was super clean and Manuel at the front dest was extremely nice.

My husband and I came here for my birthday and it was just an overall really great experience. The double breakfast bar was great with really awesome options. The rooms were clean and the entire hotel smelt wonderful and luxurious. The pool area was very relaxing, overall extremely great experience and would definitely come back and stay again.
