One of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Not part of the Fairmont chain. Far more beautiful and luxurious. I can’t tjink of one negative. The staff was amazing
- 5/5
Overall experience was great! Super hospitable staff and great rooms. Restaurants and bar are great as well. Only thing that wasn’t the best was there was somebody’s used underwear in our room right when we got in 😅 was hoping for some explanation but the staff just went by and picked up the underwear and left. Hopefully this isn’t the norm here!

The hotel has a very unique and rustic charm to it with a hint of modern-day upgrades. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and all the staff were very pleasant and amicable. Also within walking distance to the riverwalk, mall, convention center, and other local charms. Will definitely stay here again.

The property was amazing and historical, but the staff were the bright spot. They were so helpful and kind and thoughtful. It f err lt like home!

Great location. Just a block off the noisy, crowded River Walk. The Italian restaurant was wonderful! A slight musty smell probably due to its age. It took a long time to get hot water to the 3rd floor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmount Hotel. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional from the valet team to the front desk. The hotel’s historic charm and elegant atmosphere make it a truly special place to stay. Comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and beautiful surroundings made for a wonderful visit. We look forward to returning.

The bedding (pillows) had stains. Didnt notice until check out.

Everything was wonderful, the property, food, staff, rooms etc. Sara at the front desk was most accommodating. Very helpful to get us the rooms we wanted. Even walked us to our rooms and brought us up an iced down bucket for our champagne. We at ate at Nonna and it was delicious. We also had appetizers at the rooftop which was great as well.

my wife and i have been coming here for years, we love the history of the hotel and the staff we especially like that we can just go down stairs to our favorite restaurant nonna, and when we've had a busy day we can hangout at rooftop bar, we love that they have valet with secure parking we just call the front desk and by the time we get to the lobby the truck is waiting for us the rooms were great especially after the remodel but the days we stayed it had rained the night before we showed up which made the room very humid and made the bed sheets damp. if they can get dehumidifiers for the rooms it would help out a lot. that's my only complaint other than that we love it!

Our 3-night stay at The Fairmount was outstanding from the time we checked in until the time we departed. The staff is world-class, always going above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed. We had a beautiful two room suite on the third floor complete with all the amenities one would need. Highly recommend the quaint, boutique hotel for your get-away to San Antonio - you won't find a better location.
- 3/5
I thought I booked the “Fairmont”….this was not part of that brand…this was the “Fairmount”..I guess i need to learn how to read, but it wasn’t up to my expectations. Couldn’t change the heat so I froze all night.

The staff was exceptionally helpful, cr the front desk to the bar.

We had a great time!

We arrived late & was welcomed by wonderful and much needed Valet-then Miss Sarah gave us a quick description of every aspect of the hotel. As my husband was walking she grabbed the luggage car & pushed it herself-walked us to our room. She is a jewel! Made us feel sooo welcomed ! We walked to the 4th floor where we delighted in the beautiful view & had a drink. Then we headed to dinner @NonnaOsteria-where the recommended lobster Ravioli & sweet moscato was Perfect! And the staff was Welcoming & Attentive ! We had a day out breakfast at a nice cafe 5 min walk from hotel, park in front of hotel for those of you that have children. The day we spend IN SA-to return to have dinner with my daughter @SiloPrme—right there in the hotel. Piano playing, amazing food-ribeye, pork chops & salmon -nothing disappointed us! Atmosphere. Service, Ambience-was Amazing !!! All through out our quick 2nighy stay we chatted in between with Ryan & Rachel at the downstairs bar-where they made us feel like we knew eachother for years and had on the spot drinks -you have to try the Sangria! I say all of this to say book here ! You will not be disappointed ! Bed was soooo great, SUPER CLEAN room, set up-I don’t think I missed anyone -but wanted to say Everyone was amazing ! Grateful we found this place-definitely will be back !

Amazing hotel in an ideal location. The staff was tremendous and the room was amazing. My wife and I enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Charming historic hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Loved the Nespresso in the room. Great views from the rooftop bar. Easy walk to Hemisphere Park and to the River Walk. Some road construction in front of the hotel / restaurant but not a problem for our Uber drivers.

The room greeted us in pristine condition, inviting us to settle in comfortably.

The staff was incredible. This property was gorgeous and close to all the main attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

Always love staying here! Sara and Rachel and the entire crew are always so attentive, happy, and MORE than helpful!

- 5/5
I loved this hotel! The staff were all so friendly. When we checked in we were walked to our room and given a really neat history lesson on the hotel. The room was very clean and cute. Loved the big shutters and the balcony. The LaVillita village and entrance to the riverwalk were 1 block away so it was a very short walk. We had our 5yr old granddaughter with us and she loved the park across the street. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go so never needed our car the whole time. We will definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
No self parking! Valet only. Road construction in the area. No complementary breakfast. Beautiful hotel. Would not recommend this hotel if your traveling with little kids.
- 5/5
Awesome, beautiful old hotel. There is some construction going on in the area, which ruins some of the curb aesthetic. However, inside it was not really a bother, even in the restaurant.

- 4/5
Nice and quiet hotel. Friendly front desk. Lovely rooftop area. Minor complaint: mini fridge light is bright and unable to turn it off (fridge has clear glass door) and keeps room lit at night =(
- 5/5
The front desk concierge Brent provided great service. The room was clean and ready for an early check-in. We dined at the restaurant Nonna which had exceptional food and service. The complimentary items in the room including the Nespresso machine and pods were a nice addition. The architecture of the building and the craftsmanship of the interior of the building were all very impressive. The views from the rooftop bar and terrace made for a wonderful evening.
- 2/5
The coffeemaker was a challenge and it was a challenge for the staff. I was charge for a shampoo that i did not take.
- 5/5
Everything was very good
- 5/5
Excellent staff very friendly. Rooms very clean

Very nice . Had trouble with shower, it worked just fine, I was just in my idiot mode ! Booked a standard room & it had a nice sitting room, separate from bedroom, down a hallway. A HALLWAY !!😄
- 5/5

Only issue was the dormer windows above the balcony doors did not have any type of window covering letting light in , all night

Great place! Will stay here again!!
- 5/5
Intimate, historic hotel with updated decor and facilities. Quiet room (although the bathroom door was very inconveniently aligned with the sink.) Nonna's restaurant next door had extremely tasty food and excellent service.
- 5/5
Very helpful and courteous staff! Clean room.
- 5/5
The bartender (I wish I could remember her name!) was also wonderful—she took such great care of us and even made sure we had a cozy spot by the bar as we enjoyed a delicious meal from Nonna. The service was impeccable, and we felt so welcomed and pampered throughout our stay. The Fairmount Hotel continues to be our home away from home, and we’ll be returning year after year. Room 312 was just perfect, with beautiful views and all the little touches that make it special. Thank you to the entire team at the Fairmount for another amazing weekend. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel!
- 5/5
Conveniently located next to La Villita elegant room decor
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and my room was great!
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel made it great! I will say the location is a bit misleading on a map. The Riverwalk starts across the street, so the Fairmount isn't ON the Riverwalk. But it is very close. I highly recommend eating at the Italian restaurant on the 1st floor. The food & service were exceptional!
- 5/5
Service and hotel were very good, gotta try the steak house Nextdoor. That was a plus. Otherwise worth the price

We loved this hotel!!! So close to the River Walk and the price was amazing. Older hotel and smaller but rooms were updated and beautiful!!! Loved it and will most definitely stay here again!!
- 5/5
Great staff and clean room loved this place we will be coming back
- 3/5
You can not control the air in the room so when it gets hot, you can not turn the air down. Also vents in the restroom don't work so it amplifies the heat.
- 4/5
The construction was everywhere.
- 5/5
Nice amazing stay
- 1/5
The bathroom included A gold plated shower which had erratic water temperature and difficult to adjust, when we found warm or cool it immediately went right back to scolding hot. We spent a few hours at the bar, i ordered a cosmo at the bar downstairs which was HORRIBLE, it was watered down and tasted horrible and weak. We did appreciate the fact the young bartender took it off our bill and I replaced it with a decent glass of reasling wine, my husband enjoyed a bourbon and sprite Upside was the hotel and room was quiet although in the middle of down town construction zone. When it came to ordering dinner in our room, it was quick and staff was accommodating to offering extra chairs for our room so my husband and I could both sit at the desk in our room to enjoy our Valentines dinner. Now. The dinner wasn't as good as would be expected from such a high priced hotel. We will not be returning. (Review too long to finish)
- 5/5
Too much construction noise. Things were still being remodeled in the bar area and workers were pretty scary!
- 5/5
Great property and staff.

The double queen suite is designed so you enter into a parlor area, down a short hall is the bedroom, and off the hallway is a bathroom with enclosed toilet area, shower, and sink. Nice private areas, as well as the parlor to entertain, if one chooses. The suite was 61F when we arrived; we wished to turn up the heat to 70F. This proved easy to do, but not lasting. Once the temp was reached the heat shut off: we repeated this when we wanted more heat, including during the night. An access code to lock in a temp would be an improvement. Maybe carpet... The beds are comfortable, with soft tops and firm support, lots of pillows, too. A lighted closet is nice. There was a TV in the bedroom which we did not use. A lamp on that credenza would be a great addition. There were three sconces on the walls opposite. There was no refrigerator, microwave, table, desk, or chairs in the suite. These would be great additions in the parlor. There was a giant TV on a credenza. And a couch bed, which was nice and firm to set on. Renting a suite, we wished to eat in it. That is not possible without a kitchenette space. Most hotels provide a fridge and microwave; guests expect those amenities. We would stay here again, as it was a clean and beautiful hotel. However, either the cost per night or the amenities available, need to be adjusted. Keep your staff, they are excellent!!!
- 5/5
It’s a great place to stay. The onsite restaurants are amazing. Brandon the manager of the restaurants made sure our dining experience was amazing each evening. The wild boar pasta at Nonna is a must. The second floor is kind of weird if you are older or immobile because you have to go up and down stairs with your baggage. There are some nice open balconies with panoramic views of downtown. Parking is easy. Only 2 drawbacks are construction on the outside streets starts at 8 AM. Also no workout facilities but easy running trails on the river are wide open and enjoyable. The hotel and the rooms are so nice. A total steal of a deal.
- 5/5
Great place and great location. We loved our room which was the junior suite. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- 5/5
Absolutely exquisite historic hotel in the heart of it all! The rooftop bar is the icing on the cake!

Construction during our stay. Very noisy. Construction workers caused fire alarm at 9:30 pm
