The inside of the hotel was clean. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Kudos to the kitchen staff for restocking and keep food warm and cleaning staff. Everyone was very friendly. The evening snacks and drink. Also the complimentary waters at the front desk. The outside of the hotel and the surrounding area was definitely different than the pictures. The shuttle to and from airport was almost never available and there was a 45 minute wait for the next one. We had take Ubers to and from airport. Which was not in our plans. After asking, it seemed that we were sharing it with another neighboring hotel, along with the pool that was advertised. San Antonio temps were in 100s. The room didn't get cool until the middle of the night or early morning. Additionally, we like to shower each each day and night. There were not enough towels for three adults in one room. Though the front desk attendant on the first night readily gave us extras. The attendant on the second night was hesitant to provide as many. Luckily we were leaving the next day. Also; the sink in not in the bathroom.

Staff is always friendly. Every time we're in San Antonio we stay at this hotel.

The location was great and not far from where we wanted to visit. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious!

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The shuttle service was great. It took you to the downtown and the riverwalk at no charge. The bad. The hotel had one elevator and it was always packed. There were long lines to get up rooms. We stayed on the 4th floor so we had to wait. The breakfast was a disaster. There were too many people for the small space they had. Most had to take their food to their rooms, and wait for the one elevator. The food choices were not good. They had greasy sausage and potatoes, no eggs. They also had some nasty microwaved roll with hame and cheese. No one ate that and the garbage was full of them. We had to go out to eat breakfast. DON’T count on the free breakfast.

Staff was courteous and quick check in Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Room smelled unclean. Breakfast area was small and not many breakfast items offered. Swimming pool was located at adjacent location and staff was rude at that location.

Amenities were good, free parking, staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfortable Noisy. We were in room 123 right outside the breakfast room. Even before breakfast started you could hear staff setting up and it is right near the elevator and lobby. Shower was also dirty.

The check in was fast, the receptionist (Pamela) was friendly and courteous. They have coffee, infused strawberry water, and water bottles upon arrival. The facilities looked clean. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast is really good and offers several options. Parking is free and secure. The hotel is not inviting in the sense that it has a mild musky smell. The room had a bit of a musky feet smell. The room only has a big lamp at the head of the bed and a small desk lamp. The room needs more light. We were on the first floor and had to open the curtains to get more light in the room but the downside was the people walking outside could see inside our room. The toilet is also too short.

The price was good for what we needed. Rooms were clean and tidy. Check in was smooth. Bathroom around the tub was not very clean. Tiles were cracked on floor in bathroom. Hot water only lasted for one shower. The beds were not comfortable at all. The hotel doesn’t have a pool in the hotel you have to walk across the parking lot to a sister hotel and use their pool.

This is the only hotel we ever stand when we are in San Antonio. We always stay there because the staff is always very wonderful and the place is very clean. As far as we’re concerned, there is no different motel in San Antonio. This is the best.

We had a couple of minor issues during our stay. There seemed to be a leak on our floor, so large fans were running in the hallway the entire time, which made some noise. Also, the carpet next to the air conditioner inside our room was wet. I think this was either from the AC unit itself or from the window, which was open when we arrived and it might have rained earlier. However, other than those small issues, it was a very good and solid stay for my family. The staff was great, the property was nice, and I would definitely come back to stay at this hotel again!

This location had a pipe burst right before our stay and at check in, we were put on the 4th floor where it smelled like mildew or mold. We were moved to the 3rd floor but there was no air in the hallway so they had really loud fans on all night and day. The room door was hard to close all the way and the lock was very hard to use. You had to jiggle and push to get it closed and locked. The positives were the location, minutes from the riverwalk and the breakfast inclusion. They also had afternoon coffee, cookies and cucumber water which we felt was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating. It wasn't 5 star but it wasn't all bad either.

Stayed here for 6 nights while vacationing in San Antonio. Right from the start I knew this was going to be an enjoyable place to stay. Vivian welcomed us with a Big Smile and Hello. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We picked this place because it was fairly close to downtown and the Riverwalk and we could park our vehicle without paying an extra parking fee. The shuttle was an awesome perk. We used the service multiple times and the drivers were great. A pool is shared with the Residence Inn but was not a problem getting to. Breakfast was very good, plenty of options. Also it was close to the Historic Market Square. I can't say enough about the Staff of this place, everyone was so friendly, had good knowledge about San Antonio, and just made us feel so welcomed. When we return we will definitely stay here again. Thank You Fairfield Inn Employees, give yourselves a pat on the back for an Amazing Job!

Always a pleasant stay at this Fairfield Inn. The room was clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Love using the gym room which offers plenty of workout options. The continental breakfast offers many various breakfast/snack items to get your day started. And they offer free on-site parking and the property is very walkable to downtown as well.

Probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Staff was very kind and even let me check in early.

I booked this room for our bus driver on a group trip. I called ahead to ensure the bus could be parked at the facility and everything was taken care of. When the driver arrived they turned him away and we had to find a new room. They were also not proactive about issuing a refund, and neither was Hotels.com. This was the only issue in an otherwise great trip to San Antonio.

Staff was accommodating, breakfast was great, room was exactly as advertised. The only concern I had is that I was awakened by a phone call both mornings; there was no person on the other end of my answer and I did not set up a wake-up call. The calls came for no apparent reason.

First time here and won’t be back . One elevator for a hotel booked with people , elevator wait was ridiculous. Rooms were clean , beds horrible . Front staff who assisted with the check in was super nice ,

Great location. Close to everything. They provided transportation to the Riverwalk and the Market place which was very convenient. Staff was very helpful.

The accommodations were good. Near areas of interest. The complimentary shuttle is a plus. Price was really good for our 3 days.

A few negatives were that the breakfast was pretty much the same thing day after day. I think it would be helpful to change things up every couple of days. Another thing is that sections of the hotel need minor updating, but for the location and price this was an awesome stay and made for a wonderful vacation.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The breakfast was good and adequate. Our room was good also. Clean and we like the stand in shower in the suite we were in. We will stay here again. Convenient to our destinations .Overall enjoyed our stay here.

The place is great. The parking lot is a bit small, but I was able to find parking every day. The only issue was that when I got there, my room was not ready, and it took them about 30 minutes for it to be ready, even though it was after 3 PM. I was upgraded to a suite which was really nice, but I think this is because of my status on Hotels.com. The breakfast was good. I liked it. The fitness center was amazing, the treadmills were very modern and super clean. They had free weights and a couple of benches that were also very new. Overall, I loved my stay.

This hotel was okay. Would I go back? Maybe. It was close enough to everything ( 8 ish min drive ) from the Alamo, riverwalk, food options and the Walter’s gate at FT. Sam. When I arrived my room wasn’t ready ( 4:30 pm so after check in time ) but they moved things around and placed me somewhere else. The room was relatively clean. It could have been cleaner but wasn’t cringeworthy. The room was in better condition than the lobby / exterior. The bed and pillows were not great but it had decent linens. Small tv which was fine. AC worked well, was slightly loud but not bothersome. The blackout curtains were pretty great. Fridge in the room was nice and cold and worked awesome. One of my water bottles actually frozen solid. The shower had mediocre water pressure at best and two mornings within 5 minutes the shower was luke warm to cold. The included breakfast was decent, the make your own waffles was fun, then other standard items. The breakfast potatoes served each morning were not good, a combination of not hot enough and weird texture? The last night there the Netflix on the tv would. I longer connect which was a bummer. Overall it was affordable and fine.

Perfect stay. Convenient location with an HEB Marketplace down the street and downtown/Riverwalk a walkable 20-25 minutes away. Free parking, no junk fees, and free hotel shuttle to downtown. The rooms are a bit dated but they're spotless, quiet (good windows!) and comfortable. Amazing staff.

Room was very clean. Hotel provided pump shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash in the shower. Complimentary breakfast in the mornings and a complimentary shuttle that can take you to and from the airport to the hotel, as well as to downtown anytime! Staff was very friendly and accomidating. Overall, a lovely experience!

The first night was just very noisy room above me called front desk from 2:30 am to 6:30 am hard thump sounds

Breakfast had limited options and was not well stocked - no milk, no eggs, limited low carb options on 2 of the 3 days. Shuttle was incredibly slow with airport pickup and desk clerks were a bit condescending.

Great customer service by the front desk... We came back in the evening and were making Hot Chocolate at the reception era and the front desk agent offered to go get us milk and heat it up for a better hot chocolate, instead of using water.

The room was clean. All staff except for a few front staff were polite, and helpful. Having breakfast was great and shuttle is why I canceled a different location and chose this hotel. A shuttle is important. On social media I saw alot of families asking about a shuttle so they can see their kids graduate from the Air Force every Wed and Thur.

To be honest, this hotel was an average hotel. It was the staff that made it a great stay for my wife and I. The people at the front desk were very accommodating. We had no transportation. The shuttle was invaluable to us! They picked us up from the airport, they had regular runs to the downtown/Riverwalk area, and when our schedule was a little off from theirs, they went out of their way to make sure we got to where we needed to go. The breakfast was good. There was always coffee in the lobby. We never felt like an inconvenience to any of the staff. So, average hotel, WONDERFUL staff!! I think we're going to switch our points program from Hilton to Marriott.

This was far the best Hotel I stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, polite. They go the extra mile with service. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable.

The room was clean but had a different name on the welcome name on the tv, which was weird. The person that welcomed me and the one who i checked out with was also very nice. Just the person that came in at 11pm was not on a good mood at all

The sink in our room wouldn't drain so it just kept filling up with water every time we had to use it. Thankfully we only stayed 1 night.

Room needs attention, refrigerator did not work. When reported the worked on it, and disabled the TV, refrigerator still did not work. Gave up trying. Toilet spued contents at every flush. Older building needs some TLC.

Shuttle service was excellent! Brought me from & to the airport as well as getting around town during my stay. Driver Jeśus was great!

Clean room, Variety for breakfast

The overall stay was ok, however, there were roaches in the bathroom of our first room. The front desk was quickly responsive and accommodated by providing a new room in a different area. Overall, the staff members were pleasant and decent, my only complaint is the bugs.
