I enjoyed this hotel! Very beautiful scenery. Quiet during sleep hours and live music during the day. The staff were very respectful. The bar was quite busy but yet fun ! Rooms were clean.

Disappointing

The gym was small but had plenty of equipment to get a great work out in. Also, the pool was very small and got pretty crowded. That would be my only complaint-it was hard to relax once there were a ton of kids jumping in and out and screaming. Overall, good location, near the mall and plenty of food.

I enjoyed my stay overall, but the room had an unpleasant smell. I hope this issue can be addressed because everything else was great.

I was on room 394 - avoid this room. You hear everything in the courtyard area . Kids running around on the third floor common area and noise comes up from the lobby and bar. My two nights it was super noisy up till 3-4am. Hard to sleep. In the morning families congregated on the 3 floor area and kids yelling running around. Horrible could not sleep. I was talking to the front desk clerk and we had to yell to hear each other as the busy lobby drowned out our conversation.

The room was dirty upon inspection. There was hair all over the bathroom. Also we had 3 people in our room and we were given 3 sets of towels the first night. However they only gave us 2 sets of towels on night 2. We called to request more and no one ever came.

Beautiful hotel , great restaurant on site. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly.

Amazing place

The property was absolutely amazing and the grounds are beautiful. The days I was there, I noticed there were not alot of children at this property, and that the clientele seemes to be more buissnes professionals and couples, which was kind of nice because it gave a more quiet peaceful vibe. The bar is big and they have a happy hour from 4-6pm that gets pretty packed around that time. The only thing they don't have is a hot tub on the property which is something I look forward to wherever I stay, and they do close the pool area and the whole patio area outside around 11pm to keep noise level down. All in all the rooms are beautiful and clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating and I would definitely recommend staying here for a quite getaway.

Everything was excellent, the only thing was that our room wasn’t really cleaned when housekeeping went. I understand one of the beds because I left my suitcase on top of the bed and o know it’s policy not to move anything, but the other bed had nothing and it wasn’t really made. But besides that, everything was excellent. Food is excellent and everybody is very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back and recommend.

Te stay was good. Had staff text me after checking in, if I needed anything . They were out of conditioner and I let them know. They were willing to bring me some , but enough out. Just wanted to let them know for the next guest. I lived in San Antonio for well over 25 years and how I never heard of this place . Definitely will stay again and hope longer than one night . Breakfast was great as well!

Yes, there was no room service. The entire time the maid left a note on the bed that she couldn’t clean the room because she had to leave early.

Quiet and clean

The hotel has a hacienda type feel to it. It’s close to just about anything There is a large open courtyard in the center of the hotel. The pool and a large, turfed area are in the courtyard. We opted for a room overlooking the courtyard. These rooms have an entrance on the courtyard side and another entrance in a hall entrance. The room was very clean and spacious. The bar and restaurant have very good food. The drinks and food are reasonably priced and they are very good. Overall, the hotel is a very nice hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was helpful,and the breakfast was delicious. The pool was cloudy and the kids said there was too much chlorine in it. The property was nice and clean.

Room was not ready at 4pm for check in . I made it to the hotel after 6 pm and it took all night to get my room and they didn’t do anything but give me a couple of drinks at the bar this messed all my plans up for the night

When we arrived, there was a long line at check-in, and our room wasn’t ready even though it was an hour past check-in. Traveling with young kids after a flight made it a little frustrating, but the front desk staff was very polite. In fact, every employee we encountered had great customer service—they just seemed understaffed. The room was a decent size with a mini fridge and table. It looked clean at first, but our socks quickly turned black from the floors, and the shower head had noticeable mineral buildup. We also didn’t have enough towels and had to follow up before receiving them around 11 p.m. Housekeeping didn’t arrive until we returned for the evening, despite requesting service earlier in the day. The food was decent, and the pool and fitness center were small but adequate. The microwaves near the ice machine also needed cleaning. Overall, it was reasonably priced and fine for a short stay. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it wasn’t great either. I’d say it’s worth trying for yourself, but I’m not sure I’d stay here again.

This was a very beautiful place to stay. The aroma when you walk in will have you feeling very relaxed, it smelled like a vacation. The only down side (WHICH WAS NOT THERE FAULT) would be it took me about 3 hours or more to be checked into my room. But they were very accommodating due to this.

Took them 6hours to get my room ready but other then that the stay was great

The room that they switched us to was terrible and it felt like this was done intentionally as retaliation from the hotel. The manager said it was only for Friday night since it was already midnight when we had to switch rooms. Again, all while traveling with my two babies. This room was not better than the first but because it was a holiday weekend, all the other hotels were booked and we had no other option than to remain at La Estancia Hilton. The shower had rusted metal with sharp edge on some areas. One of the beds was broken on the inner corner and fell to the side. The A/C released some dust that aggravated our allergies. As bad as this was, it was not the worst. This room is not up to code and should be reported immediately to avoid a fatalities. My 1 year old child tripped near the window. The chain link used to raised the curtains was not properly secured to the wall and the metal chain was caught around my baby’s neck. Thank God I was nearby and able to immediately assist him, avoiding a catastrophic end.

Prepare for a very long check in process. We waited in line for 30 minutes and rooms were not ready.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here 25 years ago (when it was a different property). We recently returned for a quick trip and booked a room here. While the property still has beautiful bones and everything was clean, I was not as impressed as I had hoped to be. Staff was definitely not welcoming (with the exception and a shoutout to Joeie in the bar who was awesome). Also, a person had their truck broken into over night (we had parked right next to them- we were the lucky ones I guess) and the staff did not seem at all phased or upset when the lady was making her report. Overall, nice place but could use some love.

Rooms booked were not available. Staff was unhelpful and rude, pointing out that this is what one gets by using hotels.com or any other instead of booking directly with the hotel.

When we arrived it looked clean and comfortable, the first night there went well, we found a bug on the closet but that wasn’t the worst part, we had went for my sons ceremony from the airforce basic training, so we were very tired when we got back, someone stuck a do not disturb sign in between the door(not on handle) so our room haven’t been cleaned, we are a family of 4, every single night we had to keep calling to request more towels as it was always 2 towels in the room, the third day they “cleaned” the room, the table had still some stick stuff from the dinner we had the previous night, the bathroom was the same still dirty but with an extra toilet paper that’s all. We made sure to gather the trash in bags and left our luggage’s in the closet so it wouldn’t be on the way of cleaning and even so, it was not done. The hotel is definitely beautiful, I think they just need to do better on maintaining the rooms actually clean and to pay more attention to the guests needs, we shouldn’t have to keep calling them for something that should’ve been done.

We usually stay close to the river, but the noise and late-night activity make it hard to get any rest. On top of that, the parking fees are outrageous. This was our first time staying here, and unless something changes in the future, this will be our new yearly spot! It was clean, peaceful, had beautiful scenery, and best of all—FREE parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

I did not like that the hours for breakfast at the restaurant were not specified correctly. It reads until 11a.m. we were not allowed service because the last order is taken at 10:30 which as I mentioned was not noted. We entered at 10:40

It was our first time staying here and everyone was really helpful and kind, professional. Room was clean and had doors that open to the balcony overlooking the pool area, which was beautiful but quaint. Easy access to everything and breakfast was delicious and prepared with care. Parking was free and easy. Stay here! You won’t regret it.

Love everything about this hotel, staff was so friendly & the place was kept very clean. The room was a little dark but with this style hotel that’s expected. We got the courtyard room & i loved it. Amazing for families & close to almost anything! I will definitely be making this my hotel stay every time we come into town.

It's close to the airport, shopping, restaurants, and many of the places I regularly need to visit when I'm in San Antonio, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. My husband often accompanies me on these trips, and we've always enjoyed our stays here. Whether we're in town for work or have a little time to relax and explore the city, Estancia del Norte provides a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel with charm, convenience, and excellent service in San Antonio.

Lobby restaurant is a great place to relax and enjoy a good drink or a nice meal.

We had a bad check in experience after we were given our key card to our room, it was late at night and we go into our room and there were other guests sleeping in there which scared the crap out of me! Went back down to the front desk and told her what happened. She apologized and I don’t understand how they wouldn’t see that someone was in that room. They put us in another room, upgraded and gave us complimentary breakfast to apologize.

This is a great spot in the middle of the city with access to everything like shopping, hiking and biking, great nearby neighborhoods for food and drinks, and it's close to the airport. The property is quiet, spacious, and has amenities like a green space courtyard, pool, bar, dining and an art gallery. Apart from the gallery, the art in the hotel is very unique and reflects the true culture of San Antonio. I walked around just looking at the art to make sure I saw everything. Really enjoyed staying there and walking around the property. The antique looking outside elevator is so unique too! I will be back.

Overall a nice stay. The staff was friendly and attentive and the room was clean and comfortable . The common area to include the pool, outdoor patio and bar appears inviting and well kept. Evening security was present and appreciated. The bad is the hotel is dated and in need of renovation. The shower head was looking like it needed replacement and looking outside the windows could use a wash. Despite this I would still recommend

sorry to say I was not to pleased with our stay ,with the price of a room almost $900.00 for 4 days you could have given me free wifi for 4days not 2 days, not even a free cup of coffee.Don't think I will be staying there again, but the staff was very nice and helpful.

The pool is nice for lounging but has fountains the entire length of the pool making guests dodge if you just want to soak. I don’t normally leave reviews but feel it’s important for families for their children wanting to play. Also, had to pay for coffee…..should be inclusive….

We have stayed here several times and overall loved our stay again, however the room they gave is this time (506) was in desperate need of some repairs. The door to the room was super hard to open & close, seemed the door frame was messed up and needed redone, and wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling pretty bad and some rusting around the shower frame as well. The rest of the room was just fine, but they need to temporarily place this room out of order and give it a little facelift. I will be sure to ask NOT to be placed in that room next time we decide to stay there. Otherwise beautiful hotel, great location, & airport transfers a plus.

Clean rooms. Very nice staff. Guests were very loud outside the rooms in the hallways but it’s likely the hotel design with courtyard and veranda like hallways for our area of the room, so we could hear guests on ground level in courtyard and in veranda parts of the hotel late at night. Otherwise no other issues. Will stay again.

The courtyard was just beautiful. The bar area was very nice, open and plenty of seating.

A/C stopped working, it was miserable, a party by the pool continued way past 10:00 PM which kept us from being able to sleep. The TV stopped working and the door access failed numerous times. The lady at the front desk did not seem to care. We have stayed here for the past four years but this will be our last time. The lady at the desk who I believe was a manager solidified we will not return after this stay.
