I checked in on a Friday night, right off the bat the pillows were dirty, stained with makeup & the sheets were moldy. The main door to the room did not close unless it is slammed, house keeping stopped by and left the door open since 10am -6pm that I arrived back at the hotel. Staff was helpful in changing us to a different room however it felt like a band aid to a very alarming and disturbing problems

Staff was amazing, rooms a little small but worked for us.

The room itself was cleaned, but the carpet was quite dirty and stained throughout, the lobby had a sewage-like odor right from the entrance. The building had an old, disappointing feel to it. Additionally, the complimentary social hour from 5 PM to 9 PM was lackluster, offering only some cheese, crackers, and chips with a dip that we couldn’t identify. I will not be staying here again. I was very disappointed that Embassy suites would have a facility like this I think they forgot about it.

Beautiful hotel with a great view of Downtown San Antonio from both sides. The hotel staff has been amazing during my two week stay and I would highly recommend this location! Everything is in walking distance as well.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff were so kind and helpful. The bartenders were fun and engaging. This is an excellent hotel that is very clean and accommodating. I give it a 10 out of 10.

The hotel was beautiful and location was walking distance to restaurants and shops downtown. All of the hotel staff were so friendly and welcoming best experience overall. We will be staying here next time we are in town.

The room was clean when I entered. The breakfast had a great spread of hot and cold foods including eggs and breakfast meats, breads and coffee. Staff was attentive. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Everything! This is the closest thing to perfect I've experienced in awhile! That we couldn't stay longer!

Great proximity for walking to the Riverwalk, and well-maintained property. valet Parking for our SUV was $69, but the breakfast and complimentary Happy Hour made it worth the price.

Parking staff needs to learn where handicap parking is. I received a bill for $180.00 for pulling in a parking lot the valet parking attendant told me I could to unload my car. It’s not free and I explained to the company that sent me video of my car and they explained this exact thing happens all the time.

Going through renovation a little dusty it I would had known that I would not had booked. Two wash towels and it was 5 of us in a room I call to get more towels they said 1 hour and waiting. Waited two hours for towels. Bad service never had this at a hotel. Bad experience for how much money I paid to stay

By the riverwalk and very scenic I initially booked a Queen Suite with Two Queen Beds. I then received an offer to upgrade to a two-room suite with queen beds. I assumed the upgrade meant two separate rooms, but it turned out to be one bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed. That’s not what I understood the upgrade to mean or what I expected when I accepted it.

Did not get the room that we payed for.

Reserved a room with two beds and a pullout couch confirmed with the person behind the check-in desk got up to our room and had one bed toilet was not usable went back down. Talked to the front desk. They gave us another room but two beds. The second room had no shower gel.. the pool was unusable. It was closed due to someone’s child getting sick in the pool.. they did extend the stay till 1 PM but I had to ask them to take off the parking. At checkout, they were gonna charge me for the parking after I was told they wouldn’t be charged and then they finally took that off. Not a typical experience with Hilton very disappointed after speaking with the manager and telling him everything that happened. He was not very helpful.

Everything was great. Easy to get around, walking distance. The vallet was the only disappointment. Took about an hour to get our car. 11am check out, waited a bit after 12pm.

Great overall property. Good location, great breakfast, good rooms. You do have to valet which is Don't love but have come to expect from downtown hotels.

We requested bedding for the pull out bed and didn’t have it , we had to call guest services multiple times before anyone would answer , also the lady at the front counter when we checked in was rude and acted like we were An inconvenience to her day

The floor stank. The cabinet was dirty, as in food had hardened on top. Hair was i. the sink. The tub kept stopping up, maintenance never came. The pool area was nasty, no towels.

My stay at Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk-Downtown was excellent from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. The suite was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and while you stay for the prime location it is not worth the heartache. No parking anywhere, super difficult to check in and out. Breakfast was anything you could get anywhere else. When speaking with the staff they were also dealing with a system failure and having to manually check everyone in. My shower was making a hard thumping sound when showering. All in all it’s just not worth it. At least at this location. I choose embassy everywhere else just not here.

Property was renovated late 2025 and looks just like the photos. Everything was clean and nice. Property is conveniently located to many desired restaurants and Riverwalk. Its also close to interstate if you're looking to go to seaworld. Breakfast was awesome with lots of options for kids to adults. The nightly cocktail hour with complementary drinks was a favorite with adults and kids.

This is my second time staying here and will study again

Overall hotel was OK. The only problem was that the AC in the room was not cold enough and felt very humid.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly. The rooms were spacious, which was especially nice traveling with the kids, and the staff was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We also loved the breakfast and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Our family had an amazing time and made some really great memories. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in San Antonio!

Rooms very very clean and fresh upon arrival. The staff were helpful and very friendly. If you’re looking for a spot with a good hearty breakfast…. This is your place. Lots of choices plus fresh food if that’s what you want.

Check in was a breeze and the staff were totally amazing. The rooms were very spacious with a great view of the river walk.

The service at the bar and breakfast was excellent, The maid service not so good, not bad but not good either. We rented a suite for 6, had to be asking for towels even after stressing that we needed a minimum of 6 towels daily. We used the coffee pot in the room once, they never refilled coffee and cream and did not leave clean cups. On the pictures (gallery) of the property we can see the pool and hot tub. There was NO hot tub. False advertisement.

Hotel exceeded my expectations as for cleanliness and location goes. Beds were by far the best hotel beds I’ve slept in. Only down side is there is no self parking only valet. Across the street is a public parking that charges a hefty amount.

Room was poorly stocked. No conditioner in the bottle, two towels for five people, no bedding sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. We had to call down to guest services for all of these items. We then had to go down and get them ourselves. Valet didn't have a luggage cart to haul our luggage uptairs. The carpet in our room had stains and the shower was dirty. Regular wi-fi is not free. Would not stay here again. There are better hotels nearby for the same price.

The pool situation is horrendous. There were no clean towels when we went to the pool over multiple days. The pool could hardly be used because it was packed with a lot of rowdy people each day. The breakfast bar was extremely disappointing and not up to the usual Embassy standards for breakfast at other locations. The food was barely warm when you get it and cold by the time you sit down. The potatoes and sausage were spicy. None of the other food tasted right each of the 5 days we were there. The only saving grace was the omelet bar, which was good and up to the normal Embassy standard. I was really surprised about the low quality breakfast because Embassy hotels have always been good in my experience, but not this one. There was no waffle maker as usual at Embassy hotels which disappointed my family. The staff were very nice and welcoming everywhere. The hotel restaurant is really good but expensive. For example, a 10 inch cheese pizza was $20.

There’s mini refrigerator and microwave inside room which is very convenient. Free breakfast makes thing easier too!

Great location and close to everything. Suite was roomy for 3 adults and two kids. Got a little busy and congested using elevators at times. The parking was a little pricy. $70 for suv to valet or paid parking across the street for $30. The best part… they don’t play when it comes to free breakfast. The have the works.. eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, pancakes, cereal, muffins, coffee, apple and orange juice, fountain drinks…and plenty seating… by far the biggest and best breakfast I’ve had for free at any hotel. Definitely was worth the stay.

Great place to stay but looking a bit worn down. Wall paint is chipping and doors and cabinets are banged up. Love the happy hour! The staff was helpful but took 3 times calling to get sheets for my son on the couch. Love this hotel but it needs a few upgrades.

1) Make sure there are sheets and blankets for the pull out couch. We called front desk but they only brought us a blanket. 2) Make sure there are enough bath towels for each guest. 3) Pool was very cloudy. We were unsure if it was safe to swim. Thanks.

Had bad encounters with parking staff

very rude. I booked on Expedia’s website so I was told I couldn’t be helped with questions I had about the room not matching with what I booked. They did not clean our room the second day ,and I had to go to the front desk to request the room be cleaned. I need bedding for the sofa bed and was told they didn’t have any left.

We had a great experience with the hotel. Our room was nice and the staff was very helpful. However, we did us the valet and had an issue. We committed to 2 nights which is expensive but we had hope it was the best location and our car would be safe in the garage. When we picked our car up after the first night we noticed a loud scraping sound when we started driving. We pulled over to check and something had ripped under our car. It was very loud and noticeable, especially since we had not heard the loud scraping when we dropped it off. When we came back to drop our car back off, my husband asked about it. He talked to someone that seemed like a valet supervisor, but she was very negative. She denied any possibility of this happening with them and even said we were purposely blaming them. That's is wildly insulting and she could have gone about the situation with better customer service. So far this was handled extremely unprofessionally. We will be contacting the GM Monday and requesting camera footage. In summary the hotel in general is good, but don't trust the valet company.

The breakfast buffet the next morning honestly felt like something you’d find at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico—fresh, delicious, and with so many options. It made the whole experience feel like a true vacation. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. From the amenities to the atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back!

Homeless were EVERYWHERE, we were warned by staff NOT to sit in the outside dining area because of "Agressive Homeless People". The homeless were everywhere around the hotels and river walk area. We felt very uncomfortable, we will NOT return.

Very clean room and staff was great!!

The balcony rooms have a very small view of the river and no one goes into that part of the river. Very few people also the walk to the river walk is about 25 minutes to get to the restaurant areas. Not convenient if having a few drinks

This is our 2nd time staying at the Embassy. Our room was clean, staff was nice and breakfast every morning was great. This is our favorite hotel.

Parking is expensive the service is ok. Rooms are also ok.

The room was dusty and bathroom had rust around the outside of the tub, walls were dirty. Breakfast was amazing, Manager was not helpful.

We were placed in a room with a leaky faucet. I tried to overlook that. Though we cut the air conditioner off because the room was too cold for our liking, the air was cut back on automatically and was extremely cold in room and very uncomfortable. Our total hotel stay for room including taxes should have been 502 dollars for a three night stay approximately, however, due to a family emergency, we had checked out the following morning, but was still charged a total of 415 dollars. The charges included a 70 dollar parking charge and an early check out fee fee of 75 dollars. The room was only 202 dollars a night. I understand that things happen but having little regard to customers was unacceptable to us. We had travelled 4 hours to try and celebrate our anniversary but had to leave early for the emergency. I would not recommend anyone to stay at your establishment. I enjoy staying at Embassy Suites every time we travel out of town... however we are highly disappointed.

My wife and I went to a concert that was in San Antonio and stayed here 2 nights, the staff was amazing from the moment we checked in. The room was clean, spacious and everything we needed was available to us. Well worth every cent. Would stay again!

Breakfast was not great. Coffee was terrible. Would have been nice to have coffee available outside of breakfast hours. Also, the parking fees were ridiculous.

My husband, our son, and I had a wonderful stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk Downtown. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the River Walk, restaurants, and attractions, making it perfect for a family getaway.

Great hotel on the Riverwalk! We enjoyed our stay. From friendly & courteous staff to a super clean & nice property, good area...convenient to the theatres, shopping & restaurants. The breakfast is fantastic and the dinner service with complimentary drinks is a very nice perk. We would definitely stay here again!

very nice and beautiful lady that checked us in, she gets 5 stars! breakfast was good, I really wanted biscuits and gravy which was not served the mornings we were there. Beds were made, trash emptied. Only disappointment was our toilet paper was not stocked! I had also seen another guest asking the front desk for toilet paper!!

I stayed here for 1 night and overnight valet parking. when I checked out I waited 45 minutes they said they didn't take my car ticket and couldn't find out my car key and my car. Their attitude is like I'm not their customer. I'm so angry..they agreed to find a car for me. I never come back again.
