Reviews
Guests generally had a positive experience, appreciating the friendly staff and delicious breakfast. However, there were several complaints about the cleanliness and condition of the rooms, as well as issues with parking and accessibility.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Delicious breakfast
- Rooms in need of cleaning and updates
- Parking and accessibility issues

I’ve stayed at other Embassy suites in their happy hour buffet was much better than San Antonio airport so was the breakfast. There was no waffles, hot cereal was very runny. Pancakes were cold. Bacon was so thin. It was just not as good as I expected based on my previous stays at other Embassy suites.

My husband and I frequently go to San Antonio for family activities and shopping. We prefer to stay at a hotel, and Embassy Suites Airport is our favorite. We always request a king bed suite, but we have realized we now need an accessible shower. We also want a room that is not on the highway side of the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel last weekend, we were greeted by Angela. She was very friendly and efficient. When I requested the accessible suite to be on the preferred side of the hotel, she immediately fulfilled our request. We're very happy with this overall staff and service, and delicious breakfasts with an outstanding chef.

It was ok, the room was average, felt like it wasn't well clean, also no body wash

Que personal !! Wow!! Super atentos ,educados y profesionales ,lo hacen sentir a uno mejor que en casa

I was very surprised that they charge the same amount as airport security parking. Make sure you read the fine print in the Expedia listing because it says parking, but you have to pay for it! Also, breakfast was not included. They just have a restaurant inside of the hotel.

The staff was wonderful. But this hotel is very old and the room smelled like smoke still but I’m sure it’s been years since someone was allowed to smoke in it. All of the carpets in the rooms and in the hallways need to be cleaned they were very dirty. Some of the furniture was stained . Some upgrades have been done in the bathrooms and The water pressure was lovely. But this hotel could use new furniture and definitely new carpet. Also their complementary Kool-Aid in the lobby on national Kool-Aid day they look to have some activities which was nice. We didn’t participate but other people seem to like them, but it would be nice to have some free coffee available and not have to pay three dollars for a cup a lot of hotels, offer free coffee and our next day in San Antonio will be at a hotel where the carpets are cleaner and there may be some free coffee. But once again, the staff was lovely.

Then entire internet system was down at check in. It was all done manually and took over 30 minutes per person. They were not able to put my 2 rooms together as they did not have access to what was available. It was very chaotic and my family was separated by 2 floors. The stay was good, but that put a big damper on how it began and our separation was certainly an inconvenience.

Room was very clean. Breakfast was great. We’ll be looking forward to staying again in October.

Cleanliness, staff and location. The small double room I booked was a lot smaller than the suites I have previously booked at this hotel. Due to being here for work I didn't mind it but the value/cost of the room being almost identical to what I pay for full suite was absurd. The main issue I had while staying in this room is the first night a loud rattling noise from the vent woke me up a couple of times an hour, it almost sounded like someone messing with the door it was so loud. I notified maintenance the next day and they fixed it but then the second night my room was extremely hot. I thought it was due to having a large window facing West but it did not cool down at all even beyond 4-5am when it was 105 degrees outside.

Ruben helped me add a last minute extra night to my stay and made sure I got the best price. He was also very helpful with any concerns or questions. The water pressure and temperature was amazing. The breakfast was phenomenal and the breakfast hours were much more convenient than other hotels. They also have an evening reception with complimentary small bites and drinks. They even gave my son a back to school bag of goodies. The room was perfect and soundproof. The bed was comfortable. I got a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this hotel. It is beautiful. The service and staff were all exquisite. The details of your stay are thoughtfully executed. I will never stay at another hotel when I travel to San Antonio which is frequently.

The rooms are hot. Called maintenance he said it was blowing 55 degrees but I was still hott all night. Didn’t get any sleep

Very nice hotel. Only disappointment was the evening reception. I miss the nachos and hotdogs from the past.

I’ve booked directly with this facility multiple times before while on official travel and the services have been excellent. They have always accommodated me with early arrival. This time I was traveling for pleasure and it was cheaper using booking.com. I kept calling and the attendant kept moving the hours. I was informed that at 3 I could get a room. I reported to location and I had to wait until 4. While I was waiting, I saw others arriving checking in after me and they were given a room, no waiting. I just think that if you don’t book directly with them, they will not accommodate you. I was disappointed as all my previous visits were excellent.

We left the hotel after arriving and went to another hotel. This hotel was nasty. We asked Expedia for a refund. We will not use Embassy Suites ever again!
- 4/5
-Parking was a BIG issue. The lot is not big enough for all the guests when big trucks take up 2-3 spaces. I had to park out by Enterprise. We didn’t stay downtown because we didn’t want to worry about parking- but it happened anyway. And we paid $10!
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious!

It was a good location, close to everything. Most of the staff were very nice. It is very outdated, especially for the price. Needs to be remodeled badly. You have to pay for parking which we don’t know until we checked in. The ac made a horrible noise all night long both nights.

- 5/5
Close to the airport and great shuttle service

The sofa in the room was worn beyond reason & was uncomfortable to sit on. The ice maker on our floor was not working for entire stay. Housekeeping & staff were friendly & professional.

Beautiful hotel and amazing breakfast!

It was a good stay, however, the beds (mattress) are outdated in my opinion. Breakfast is excellent & free! Parking is free.

The rooms were not up-to-date with regard to electronic efficiency. The furniture was old and appeared very well worn. The facility should not charge for parking as it was included in the past

The room was clean. The staff was helpful, answered questions and promptly gave me another blanket when I asked. The breakfast was quiet, tasty, and organized.

Room was OK. Need to replace the very old and uncomfortable couch. Dresser drawer was falling off. Bathroom needs a working fan, room gets very steamy and not great.

Its time for the hotel to be updated. Everyone was so friendly.

Very clean and employees was very professional.

We were in town for an all weekend swim meet, which meant that we were only at the room for showering and sleeping. However, the shower in our room had 2 settings no matter where the handle was turned: room temp and scorching. As showering off chlorine was a big deal, this made our experience at the hotel pretty awful. Additionally, the breakfast was not available until 7:30 a.m. on the weekends, which made it useless since we had to be at the pool by 7 a.m. We were able to enjoy the breakfast on Friday since it was available at 6 a.m. and the breakfast was great. They kept the food really well stocked and fresh for everyone utilizing the buffet and the custom omelets were a nice plus.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have happy hour with snack and drinks in the evening. If you need a lot space or have a big family, the 2 bedroom suite with connector would be a great choice.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious! I love the fact that they have freshly made omelets to order, a variety of food choices available, and wonderful staff! In addition, the room was clean and inviting.
- 3/5
If it weren't for the parking fee, this would be a 5 star hotel. I enjoy staying here, the pool and the breakfast are great. The parking fee is really annoying. If management reads this, just include it in the booking fee.

Everything was great love embassy suites

There is a parking fee that was not advertised on web page. Especially I was charged every time I left hotel.

Horrible experience! Dirty rooms!

The room I stayed in was hot!! Even though I lowered it all it let me the room was still at 75. It never cooled down.

Everything was great. Room was nice very spacious. Breakfast was great.

The first room we were assigned was covered with animal hair everywhere, making it obvious that it had not been properly cleaned. On top of that, there was no shampoo or conditioner available in the room. When we went to the front desk to report these issues, the staff did not apologize or show any concern, which was extremely disappointing. We were eventually moved to a different room, but unfortunately, it was not any better. The bathtub was covered in black grime and looked filthy. At that point, we completely lost confidence in the cleanliness standards of this hotel. The lack of cleanliness throughout our stay and the poor customer service made this a terrible experience. I honestly believe that some roadside motels are cleaner and better maintained than this hotel. We expected much better and would not recommend this property to anyone. Very disappointing stay.

The staff was friendly and attentive.

I was able to work and rest in comfort and somehow, even though next to airport, the stay was quiet !!

Very good property. Rooms were big. All amenities were very good. Did not care for being charged to park a car. Thought that was ridiculous especially renting 4 rooms.

The 2 hispanics cooks are awesome i love the mexican omelettes my family love the stay and food. Blessings karlos korral mata

For an overnight stay it was good. Close to places I needed to visit. Room did not cool to set temp of 70, and was humid. Chose to start here for a company meeting instead of Estancia Del Norte because their room was uncomfortably warm as well. Same issue here. Staff was pleasant and nice.

We didn’t have hot water in the sink at first. Found roaches in the bathroom two nights in a row. Seems like couch are outdated and worn as well as the other furniture in the room. Ned was comfortable and breakfast was amazing.
- 1/5
Room carpets were dirty old! Furniture were very old. Not forth for price at all!
- 4/5
No restaurants nearby so any dining without outside transportation was limited to the one good restaurant in the facility but not many choices
- 1/5
The lobby looks nice and the breakfast was amazing! I thought location was good because it’s close to the airport, however, we had a terrible incident. Someone broke into my daughter’s truck and another truck was stolen the second night we were there. We were going to leave early the next day but this incident delayed our trip and was a great inconvenience. Thank God our truck was not stolen but feel very bad for the other guy!

The AC in the room did not work well. The toilet in the bathroom was very wobbly. The towels were very rough.
- 5/5
Everything. Breakfast room. Kindness of staff
- 5/5
Love this hotel and stay here often when we are in SA. Staff (housekeeping, front desk, breakfast area) all excellent. One favorite - the omelet chef and the great breakfast. Only 2 small complaints - Room 315 toilet flush not working correctly, and I really do not like the shower curtain.
- 5/5
Otherwise, we will still stay there again. Super convenient to the SA Airport.
- 5/5
The breakfast could be better, and the room wasn't that clean ( bathroom),
- 4/5
Room 215 needs to have the tub fixed. The shower works but no water comes out of spout to take tub bath. Also, the sink faucet dispenses water very slowly.
- 5/5
I stayed at this hotel as a little girl. Thirty years later it is just as good if not better. The staff was all cheerful and friendly. The breakfast and happy hour were great. The food was really good. We don't normally eat at the hotel, but all our food options were good. Quality place to stay, centrally located, friendly staff.

Had a lovely stay, the rooms were roomy, my son and I loved the breakfast, affordable but feels fancy :) most hotel pools are nasty, this pool was wonderful and clean and the hot tub actually works! I will definatly be come back with my other children!
- 1/5
However this experience was not pleasant on the part of the hotel Hotels.com did great but upon check-in at this time was very unpleasant it took us 45 minutes to check in because of a mistake of an employee The employee made a mistake and prolonged the check in for us It was very frustrating because we had children in the car waiting
- 5/5
I stayed several nights and everyone was very accommodating and kind. I really enjoyed my stay there. I highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good

- 5/5
Great comfortable place to stay by the San Antonio Airport.

Clean and quiet
- 5/5
The breakfast wasn’t very good, the two mornings we were there, they burnt omelets. Food in the buffet area, that was supposed to be warm was not.
- 3/5
Property was just ok. Very dim hotel and room. Sofa looked 20 years old as did the decor. The bathroom looked like patchwork calk had been used to bandaid area. Very musty smell. Pool was trashy. Would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Didn’t have enough time to get breakfast:(

Breakfast and evening reception was great. Room was clean and spacious.

Great water pressure on the shower head! Great breakfast and always helpful and friendly staff!

Great stay
- 5/5
Room was decent, carpet needed better cleaning, or maybe it wasn’t vacuumed and it was noticeable in some areas. Other than that everything was great!
- 5/5
Embassy Suites was top notch. Beautiful place to stay.
- 5/5
Pool stayed open late as well, which was also a huge plus, they had boxed fans available, Even on a busy night! Jessica & her staff went above and beyond!
- 3/5
It was spring break so i totally understand the chaos but at one point the pool area was crazy lol other than that a lovely overnight stay. Was just passing through.

We stayed here for the first time to catch an early flight the next morning. Check-in/out & parking were easy. Will stay here again.

Dirty, staff not friendly on the phones
- 2/5
Room was not clean, there was pubic hair on the toilet and crumbs on the floor. Our ac unit did not work and was very hot sleeping at night. Staff was extremely friendly.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! Staff was courteous and friendly. We were right next to the airport, but didn’t hear a single thing. The property was nice, and a good part of San Antonio!
- 2/5
Out of date furniture, pull out couch bed had a huge stain, and a sheet that has been stuffed in there for who knows how long. Since it's and inward hotel, very noisy didn't help that there was a huge influx in children yelling and running around. Room smelled old.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
The place is old and the carpet was really not in a good shape especially for someone with allergies. Embassy Suit is a big name but the hotel standard is very poor. Breakfast is a joke. Not worth it for the money. I am not exaggerating

Yes to everything! Indoor pool for kids, awesome breakfast, suite style rooms were great!

Hotel was clean, our room had some dirty blankets on it but we were able to change them right away, great breakfast and some good coffee as well. The indoor pool was full or people at all times and the water was a bit dirty because of so many people there, otherwise the hotel was great

Very clean and comfortable.
