Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk

Drury's Hotel Plaza had excellent Customer service. From the managers to the cleaners that cleaned our rooms. Everyone was happy to help when asked. The only recommendedation I could give is to extend the hours for the swimming pool from 10pm to 11pm. The breakfast and dinner options were good and tasty. Our stay was great because of them.

Comfy, spacious rooms in a beautiful building. Give yourself plenty of time for the valet parking at checkout - they will be busy, but work quickly and carefully. Take advantage of the free breakfast, and don't forget to visit the amazing rooftop pool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was a convenient location. Our room was spacious. Breakfast and dinner was included and great. Staff was very sweet and helpful especially Lisa at the front desk. The hotel is being renovated at the moment but they really cared about the guests and any inconvenience it may have caused. We didn’t have any issues with our stay. I wish we had more time to enjoy the rooftop pool. It was beautiful.

The property is very old, but it is well maintained. The complimentary breakfast, dinner, and three free drinks each evening are a huge plus and add a lot of value to the stay. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location is probably one of the best things about the hotel. The access to the River Walk is amazing and makes it very convenient for exploring the area. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel itself and the staff, but the parking situation—especially for anyone traveling with a larger vehicle—is something that should be disclosed much more clearly before booking.

The parking seemed a bit expensive but we loved the hotel and the staff and food was very good!! We had two separate issues with the bathroom plumbing.i was a bit upset about that but the issues were fixed right away and the Mai people were very nice and efficient. We would stay again despite the hiccups.

The breakfast is amazing and offers just about anything you might want. Take time to notice the impressive building and all its glorious details. We did not experience the “kick back” evening drinks and light dinner fare. We were each given 3drink tickets for the day. If I were staying for a vacation, I would definitely enjoy this perk. Almost anything you could need is in easy walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel! K Brown

A great place for families and also for those who want to see the heart of Texas. No one should miss the Alamo, River Walk and the Mission Trail.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were quiet, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and the 5:30 kickback snacks were nice as well. A good hotel food couples, families, and singles. Centrally located.

Staff was amazing-never passed any employee that didn’t smile or speak to us. Everyone was polite and helpful especially during breakfast or dinner. Very impressed with employees’ work ethics and niceness!

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful the breakfast had a nice variety and was well prepared.

We had an amazing stay Southwest friendly they have lots of amenities and accommodations with the free drinks was pretty cool being able to go through the basement to the Riverwalk was also hooked.

Rooms were good except the towels were very rough (need to be replaced every now and then, these didn't soak up water well)

Hotel was amazing and clean. Right on the river walk, and free breakfast and dinner with 3 drinks every day. Roof top pool was cool but very hot in August. Find a parking garage near by or they will charge you almost 50 bucks per night for their valet.

Room was clean. Staff was welcoming and so helpful. Hotel is a bit of maze at first. Hotel needs a PIP with halls,carpets, etc. .

Towels available when you enter pool area. I believe from 5-7?? you get 3?? free alcoholic drinks and appetizers. ... more like a meal!! It was all good! Only did this 1 night since we were there for BMT Graduation and was out Wednesday & Thursday night. From hotel to Graduation was maybe 1/2 hour but had traffic backup getting on base. Give extra time for traffic. Never tried the Breakfast since we had to leave by 4 AM for graduation both days. Rooms clean and spacious had a mini fridge, coffee maker and blow dryer available. Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels. Had a partial view of the Riverwalk from room and there was access to Riverwalk from hotel. They also had a free pickup to take you to airport when you fly out. I believe they said they don't pick up from the airport when you arrive but just drop off when you leave. Very convenient since we had to be at airport at 2:00 AM! Would definitely recommend!!! Staff and driver to airport were all very helpful and friendly!!! Definitely recommend!!

Everything was perfect, the food the drinks, snacks for kids, and of course the room was very clean !

Top hotel for us when staying in San Antonio

Our room was nice and clean. The staff throughout the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We didn’t get the opportunity to take advantage of any of the amenities as we spent most of our time outside the hotel. We fully enjoy our stay.

Good place to stay. Vary nice spot. The roof top pool was fun to watch the sunset. The historic building was a neat element. The only real issues we ran into was the elevators are small and can get contested at check in and check out.

free dinner and drinks for HH every evening was great! You have a variety of dishes to choose from and 3 free drinks! Awesome if you dont want to go out and spend money on dinner. The pool was ok, but no rooftop bar attached. And no bar open in the hotel until 5pm. I like to relax by the pool with a nice cocktail but sadly not this time. I'll have to research more carefully before booking next time. The bar on property was an awesome edition when open. The bar staff was great and we met a lot of good people from all over the US. But I dont know if we'll stay here again.

Great Stay

The hotel was located along the riverwalk. It was once a bank and had beautiful ceilings and walls. They have a free breakfast Buffett and warm snacks everyday. The staff is extremely friendly. Overall a wonderful place to stay

This is the perfect hotel in San Antonio! Clean and spacious rooms, amazing continental breakfast and a bonus kickback time that includes 3 drinks (alcoholic) and dinner and the staff was not only helpful but extremely courteous the entire time. I can go on and on about this hotel, but to keep it simple: YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE!! BEST HOTEL IN SAN ANTONIO

Everything was perfect from check-in to checkout. They serve breakfast in the morning and complimentary drinks and snacks at night. They also have a wonderful pool and hot tub on the roof with a gorgeous view of the city. highly recommend.

Fantastic rooftop pool, beautiful room, great historical building, super helpful and friendly staff, great complimentary happy hour drinks and free breakfast, and great access to Riverwalk. Drury Plaza Riverwalk hotel is our new go to stay in San Antonio. Just wish the parking was more affordable.

I had booked a nice room, but when the y found out it was my anniversary, they upgraded me to a suite. The agent that checked me in was Teresa, she was very helpful. Every time she saw me, she asked how we were doing and if everything was ok. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from. We also appreciated the evening Kickback, which offered a nice selection of food. Guests 21 and older receive three complimentary alcoholic drinks, which was a great bonus. One feature that really stood out was the hotel's security. You must use your room key to enter the front entrance and to access the elevators, which made us feel safe throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortably accommodated six people. The air conditioning worked great and kept the room cool the entire time. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom door lacked a lock. However, I believe this was because we were assigned an ADA-accessible room, so it wasn't a major issue. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel again. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, secure, and conveniently located place to stay.

First time staying here by the riverwalk (has access to it). Elevators get packed due to Breakfast and the 5:30 kickback but once you get there … there’s always food. Employees are really nice… always with a smile… tried to tip them at least $5 (nice man cleaning up the dirty dishes, Everytime they brought me my vehicle and the cleaning lady). We did an escape room and it was a 4 min walk. Had a great time. Husband loved the hotel.

Will absolutely be back!!! The staff were all so helpful and kind. The drinks and food in the evening were such a fun surprise! They absolutely do not need to provide all of that but they do and it was much appreciated. Location was perfect, on the river walk but also just a few short minute walk to Alamo, majestic theater, etc. Next time I hope to get to check out the rooftop pool. And all for such an affordable price!

Room was clean it does have that old building smell but it is expected. Staff is super nice and helpful, beds and pillows are super comfortable, and plus they ave great breakfast and evening snack (or dinner if you don't eat that much). Will definitely stay here again.

Always clean. Breakfast and dinner is always delicious. Evening drinks increased from 2 alcoholic beverages to 3!! We love this place as it's easy access to the river walk and rooftop pool!

The hotel was beautiful and in the perfect location. A few minutes from everywhere we wanted to go on the River Walk. The breakfast was complimentary and EXCELLENT! Not many hotel buffets are good but this one was especially clean, tasty, and quick! Staff was courteous and the room we stayed in was so spacious. We traveled with our 2 year old and everything was very accommodating for her. We appreciated the hotel and service so much!

It being on the river

I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is old, but well maintained. The rooms and beds were confirmable. Note: they charge extra for partking, but what resort hotel doesn't these days. You can take an elevator down and walk right out onto the riverwalk. It's on the edge of the action of the river, but still close enough to get to a restaurant or shop. The food is good and available both for breakfast and dinner..... nice! The drinks aren't bad either. -REL

Staff and cleanness 10/10. You don’t find hotels with buffet breakfast and dinner included, plus alcohol drink tickets per adult. Onsite restaurant with bar. Valet parking available, and steps away from the river walk. Definitely would stay here again.

The 5:30-7p kickback was a full on Buffett with free drinks! This is NOW my go to place for San Antonio…no more shopping around.

Loved it there. Free breakfast, free dinner, and 3 free alcoholic drinks a night. You can't beat that. It saved us from spending money on eating out. The rooftop pool was great, it could have been cleaner for sure. There was hair floating in it EVERYWHERE and you could see the oils floating on top from everyone's sunscreen and tanning oils. Other than that, the location is great, the building is great, the staff is great. We would definitely stay again.

The bed and room was the most comfortable I’ve been in an hotel before and the breakfast was great

Everything was exceptional. My only gripe is it can be a bit confusing because there are two drury’s downtown literally 2 mins away from each other , so we got a little lost but the receptionist was extremely helpful in helping us get to the correct place. Once we arrived which was well after check in , the receptionist at the front (Derrick) was very sweet and accommodating. He even upgraded our room to a terrace view on the 12th floor which was absolutely amazing! They serve snacks/dinner in the evening which is incredibly convenient especially if you have little people and the river walk access is on the basement floor. Perfect location and we do plan on booking at this location again! I honestly have nothing bad to say. You can tell the hotel is a little dated but I believe it’s also a historical landmark and I personally love the aesthetic. Overall 10/10 highly recommend and if you’re able to book a terrace room, BOOK IT! The pull out bed was extremely comfortable, so comfortable that my children didn’t want to get out of it. We came for our sons 9th birthday . Side note: if your looking for a theme park/water park to take your kids who have special needs there is a place called Morgan’s wonderland which is only about 15mins away. Our son has DS and they get in free (special needs kids get in free) very nice place with lots of shade and everything including the rides are wheelchair accessible. Loved it! Thank you drury for taking such good care of me and my family!

Room was really clean and bathroom!!

We had issue with the AC it did not get cool moved to a different room and the lowest the ac went was 75, the pools seemed dirty and getting to the room was very confusing had to take two different elevators and the walk was far to the room every time , called the front desk like 4 times and every time was left on hold also the restaurants at the river walk and shopping is far it’s a long walk!
