However, many guests express dissatisfaction with the parking fees and some have issues with the restaurant service. Some guests also report problems with the bathroom doors, bed sizes, and the smell in the rooms.

Everything was good enjoyed it very much 😌
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean. The beds were a little hard and uncomfortable and the elevator is a little sketchy. But other than that a great place overall.
- 5/5
It was a great location easily walkable to everything
- 4/5
The room smelled musty as did the entire 5th floor, but the beds were very comfortable
- 4/5
Loved the location and the overall cleanliness. Some attention needs to be paid to making the pool area a bit more inviting
- 3/5
The hotel is a hot mess. The rooms need to be updated. The elevator are scary and the halls are hot. I walk into a room with no door. I was moved. I requested towels. The towels never arrived. The pool maintenance speechless.
- 5/5
Clean hotel, bed is firm, swimming pool is fun, food was delicious and the staff was friendly.
- 2/5
Y del estacionamiento creo que no está incluido porque pagué por el dos veces que salí del hotel (antes dejó hacer mi checkout)
- 3/5
Front desk person was helpful. Location a 5 min to the riverwalk.
- 5/5
Great staff, great location.
- 5/5
The only thing that was a bit confusing was the parking with the different prices quoted. Overall this location is a hidden jewel.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton! The staff was amazing, the pool was a big hit with our family, and everything was clean and welcoming. A special shoutout to Jose, the shuttle driver—he was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendations for places to visit downtown. We traveled with our 17-year-olds and a 14-year-old, and it was the perfect hotel for a large family. We’ll definitely be back!
- 2/5
I have a Double Tree near me in Illinois that is super nice and has much higher standards than this place. I assumed all Double Tree hotels were held to the same standard. They’re not. Save your money and find a LaQuinta Inn or something.
- 5/5
Great food, cleanliness, and customer service
- 4/5
Good service
- 5/5
After I paid my reservation there’s a $50 dlls more fee…
- 5/5
Everything was great for our mini getaway
- 4/5
Very comfortable and quite. My only complain is the hours of operation for the bar and Starbucks. Would be nice if Starbucks is also open on Sunday....some of us drink coffee everyday, even Sunday! As far as the bar, weekends are late nights and the bar closes before 11??????
- 4/5
Staff were courteous and helpful. Room was clean. Park was good.
- 5/5
Shuttle bus was very convenient, Jose # 2 was very professional, front desk staff were very helpful.
- 5/5
Parking….had to pay for parking.
- 2.5/5
The location was great. The pool area and restaurant were nice. The ice machine didn’t work on the floor we were on. The staff told me to find another one on a different floor which was frustrating after an 18 hour drive. The room had a red stain on the floor and had a mildew smell.
- 5/5
The clean facility, room, and accommodating staff were nothing short of superb and exceptional. ????? Everything. I left at 4 am and saw staff cleaning, and the atmosphere smelled very clean. Phenomenal‼️‼️?????
- 1/5
Hotel was booked by accident… Contacted the hotel the same day and explained the situation… HOTEL REFUSED TO REFUND…
- 5/5
Clean room, the staff was very sweet and helped on anything we had questions about! parking is great, the fee really isn’t much plus the elevators help so you don’t have to walk much!
- 5/5
I wasn't too fond about paying for parking, but the over all stay was nice. I will stay again.
- 3.5/5
The warm cookies at check in Breeds were very small and for the price of the hotel plus parking fees did not add up it’s way over priced
- 3/5
The pictures are deceiving. The lobby looks great, but once you get back to the elevators, all becomes dark, humid and dingy. Hallways are still with no air flow and the rooms are calling for upgrades. Too expensive for the stay here.
- 3.5/5
Ive never been to a hotel where ive spent over $300 dollars and the last call to get a drink is 8:45pm especially on a weekend. Causing me to go out to get a drink when I just want to relax. $40 dollars for breakfast is wild to me as well.
- 4/5
Everything was very nice and clean, staff was very friendly and helpful at check-in. I only rated 4 stars because of the $30/day parking. There is no other legal parking nearby to try and avoid hotel parking fees unfortunately. Also they have a Starbucks but it’s only open from 6a-11a which is another reason for the 4 star review.
- 1/5
Went on a family trip for my son's birthday.
- 4/5
Parking not free
- 5/5
Great service and the place was great
- 5/5
No
- 5/5
It’s less than 5 minutes away from the River walk The Fire alarm went off at 12a and we had just got in the bed. Then the elevator wouldn’t work right after that
- 5/5
Parking expense!
- 2.5/5
Inside the room was decent On all the floors of the hotel it smells old, elevators hot and they were out of order for awhile, and it takes a very long time for the elevators to move after pushing button, my water was cold and I had to shower elsewhere. Parking is too expensive, breakfast should’ve been complimentary considering the inconvenience , my sheets and blanket were damp after they changed them out etc.. I will nvr stay at that particular hotel again unless they remodel. However the staff was nice and understanding of my experience and concerns
- 2.5/5
HAD TO PAY FOR PARKING!!
- 5/5
Good stuff good staff clean room
- 2/5
The main reason I booked this hotel was to enjoy the pool, but it was filthy and clearly not being maintained. It was so dirty that we couldn’t even enjoy it, which defeated the entire purpose of our stay. The room was also muggy, hot, and uncomfortable, making the hotel feel poorly maintained overall. To make matters worse, I asked the front desk to have a manager contact me regarding my concerns, but I have yet to receive a phone call. The lack of follow-up and customer service was just as disappointing as the condition of the property. I expected much better from a DoubleTree by Hilton. Between the unclean pool, uncomfortable hallways, and lack of management response, this stay did not live up to the Hilton brand. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.
- 5/5
Overall the property was great. The pool looked a little one the dirty side ( water wasn't clear) however it was still nice. One of the stairway in parking garage had lots of trash and debris. The rooms were very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff were professional and helpful. Unfortunately we had to pay for parking.
- 3/5
Clean for the most part…..
- 1/5
The front desk isn’t friendly nor welcoming. The pool was closed the entire time, and snack bar was empty. They are not very informative, and find any little reason to up charge you. Parking is $30 a day, and breakfast is $20 a person. STAY ELSEWHERE. Also, you CANNOT walk to the riverwalk from here without crossing a literally freeway, and they don’t have a walkable sidewalk the growth of weeds and trash you can hardly see what your even walking on.
- 4/5
Great location to explore downtown
- 3/5
The shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles in the shower were all empty
- 1/5
Get a different Hotel. This place was a huge mess. If I could go back I would have chosen a better place.
- 1/5
First starting off a room was close to $200 per day. And that did not include parking, or include our pets. Both of which had an additional fee per day. We were in room 306, on our way to that room from the lobby we entered into one of the two elevators they have. Both elevators need severe maintenance. They both shimmy and shake probably because the tracks are misaligned. They also are missing their pic polycarbonate between the lighting and the cabin. What this means is when you look up while standing in the elevator, you get to see the years of dust that has accumulate. The room was clean however Unfortunately the bathroom door was stuck on the carpet and refused to close unless you use a crow bar. Once in the bathroom the sink didn’t drain and when taking a shower the tub would fill up and refused to drain as well. Next we move onto the parking that was in abundance, at a rate of $30 per day for my vehicle. Somehow, the management had decided that the nearly $200 a day was not enough. Our pets incurred an additional fee of $75, and $50 per pet deposit. All things considered I would not stay at this hotel again under any circumstance. The candlewood would’ve been better suited
- 5/5
Stayed here for a convention as the NBA finals happened. Seamless and comfortable. Property staff is very very nice. Beds are comfy and the A/C is great. Knicks in 5 with love
- 3/5
The room was to expensive plus they charge me $30 a day for parking and I have to pay for breakfast $20 per person…..
- 5/5
Loved this hotel, will return there on my next visit.
- 5/5
I dont have any complaint they have good fron desk service and is close to the down town Everything is good
- 4/5
The front staff was very nice and very informative
- 1/5
Room muggy, bugs in room, parking overpriced,
- 3/5
Checked in late breakfast not included. You do get a discount for it. Front desk were nice but not very helpful
- 3/5
DO NOT stay here! I'm shocked that Hilton allows this under the DoubleTree name. It is dirty, smells musty, I had NO hot water and the water was spitting and producing brown color. I have no idea how this property was showing an excellent 8.8 rating. I left to stay elsewhere and will be disputing my charge.
- 4/5
It was right in the middle of every where we needed to go The parking
- 3/5
Didn’t love paying $35 to park/day. Shower water pressure was not great. Overall fine & fair for the price I would say. Thank you staff. :)
- 5/5
Clean I love it
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
I like how clean it was and how friendly the staff was. I didn't like that it was far from the convention center, but above that.... Great Stay!
- 3/5
Staff was helpful BUT the bed and pillows were way to firm for comfort.
- 3/5
The fact that the parking was not free. The room had a sock that didn't belong to us from someone else staying before us and a water bug was in the room that my husband killed. No microwave in the room was also a negative. But one positive was the delicious warm cookies you had available at anytime for the guey
- 5/5
Air conditioner is very cold. Very clean
- 1/5
Was no Microwave in the actual hotel room like a standard room would have&they charged $30 a night for parking which we’ve never had to do anywhere else it’s just automatically included especially if you’re charging that much a night&bfast is $20/person
- 3.5/5
Location, restaurant, bar, nice clean pool No handicap parking available Rooms are not updated, old furniture, and decor, the bathroom tub had a large rust stain no handicap bar to hold on to to get in /out No luggage carrier available had to ask for help from staff The Charge for Parking for disabled veteran should be complimentary The Charge for water in room to make coffee Lots of Ants on lounging chairs pool area
- 2.5/5
having to pay for parking and not being notified beforehand also no complimentary breakfast
- 2/5
We did call the front desk and they quickly took care of it for us and provided us with free breakfast cards. This hotel does not offer free breakfast which was something we didn’t find out until after booking the room. They also charge $30 a night for parking. Coming back to the room on the first night we could not find parking! It was completely full and we had to park in a striped spot. We woke up early and moved our vehicle but $30 for parking and then not having a spot was frustrating. Also, I had already prepaid for a free breakfast when I booked the room but the front desk failed to give us our breakfast vouchers so when they offered free breakfast as a “apology” for the dirty underwear, I was confused. The staff was nice and accommodating. Staying somewhere for $288 for 2 nights, $60 for both nights and then $80 for food, (if I wouldn’t have found the underwear) seemed a bit pricey! We have had great experiences in the past this just wasn’t one of them.
- 4/5
The parking lot had standing water so when you get out of car you step into water. Plus you get charged $30.00 for parking. And no free breakfast its $20.00. Not stay there again!
- 2.5/5
The maid put on report that I drank 2 bottles of water, when in fact I used one for coffee. Not charging me for something when the clerk said I was zeroed out when I checked out.
- 5/5
Parking, staff, and room was great.
- 4/5
Parking was a joke!! Charged me 32.00 to park one night!! Dont remember seeing that when i booked it. Small print at the bottom probably. No free anything resturant cost for breakfast. Ice machine was broken on my floor. Had to use elevator to next floor. I wont stay there again. Air condtioning was not good. Had it on 70 but was still hot. Came on for 30 seconds and went off. Ugh
- 5/5
Didn’t like the parking expense. Outrageous. Only reason I wouldn’t stay again.
- 4/5
regina was very helpful. parking fee was expensive, and my room wasnt cool enough.
- 5/5
Front desk was very hospitable and friendly…. Housekeeping was very bare minimum, we stayed 4 nights and only 1 bed was made first day then second day I had to ask the girl to change sheets and clean bathroom. She took forever to come back to do so but other than that no other complaints
- 5/5
The room was clean. The beds were so comfy. Loved our stay!
- 1/5
$30.00 parking fees were paid together with the room rate and was double charged and front desk colluded in hiding the double charge. I will further investigation and if necessary contact authorities.
- 5/5
This was an exceptional stay, cant wait to go back!
- 5/5
Love this hotel, the gym was nice as well and the breakfast was really good. The bed is super comfortable and the hotel and room was clean.
- 4/5
I love my name on the tv screen 📺 ❗️
- 5/5
Good room and location. We had no issues here
- 5/5
I didn't like that I had to pay $30.00 per night for parking.
- 5/5
The staff were great. The parking garage was very convenient and safe. Clean, comfortable rooms. The hotel was in walking distance of what we wanted to go to in San Antonio. Definitely will stay there again.
- 5/5
Great bar
- 5/5
I really enjoyed the stay
- 5/5
Parking on site at a charge. Bar with great staff, breakfast was good. Staffing very nice.
- 5/5
Clean rooms great customer service
- 2/5
Expensive for the rooms to look so outdated. The lobby and common areas are nice and modern. But the rooms have chipped paint, old mirrors old art, yellow lighting. Nothing like the pics. Thanks for still keeping the cookie tradition alive though.
- 5/5
Clean room and love that it’s right next to the market square
- 3/5
Room smelled like mold/mildew the entire time. Lots of moisture in the air from the AC. Had fans in the hallways for some reason. Hotel needs to be remodeled and updated.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great and the bar was exceptional. The staff was great. Jackie & Allison were exceptional. Double Tree will be my go-to hotel choice.
- 1/5
You won’t let me give my honest opinion so it’s whatever
- 4/5
Everything was great but we had no hot water.
- 3/5
The staff was really accommodating. I didn't get to use the pool but it looked well maintained. Everything else was in good shape
- 5/5
Good overall hotel
- 5/5
Everything was good. Great location
- 2/5
Paid 30 a night for parking and there was no parking available we had to park on a median in the garage! Never again
- 1/5
Air conditioning cut off, they did not have AAA batteries for it at all and offered fans because there were no rooms available. Next day when standing felt something on my leg. There was a cockroach crawling on me instantly hit it off. So now I won’t ever be staying at this hotel again because it has roaches.

Bart wa
- 3/5
They lost water for 1 hr, yet no one informed us. As i walked downstairs, a water leak was right entryway wear my wife got wet. She had to go up and change outfit.
- 2/5
Could not check in early due to the rooms not being cleaned at the time and being sold out. Once we were able to check in at 4 they didnt have the room I booked available, they had given it to someone else. Toilet had mold in it and the hallways smelled like wet gym socks.
- 1/5
I would like a full refund . A incident happened on property
- 3/5
They had all guest wait literally in line until 4pm for check in because of staffing issues. Will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Very pleased
- 5/5
Great place, nice pool area. Has a full restaurant and bar inside.
- 4/5
Air conditioners worked well, except in the hallways. Staff were great. Check in and parking was easy. Breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired considering the price, but was okay. My only real complaint was the water. Hot water in the sinks sometimes did not work unless you turned the bathtub on first. In the shower, if you didn't keep it all the way on hot it didn't maintain heat and would sporadically go cold. Pressure was okay-ish. My kids loved the free cookies and they had allergy free ones available.
- 5/5
Air conditioner is too close to the beds and making sure that the rooms are properly stocked.
- 5/5
The bar offered a great selection. The only issue was that the site wasn't updated on the hours for the bar and restaurant. Even when you asked the front desk, they gave a different time.
- 5/5
Nice and clean spot for me. I would definitely stay there agai.
- 1/5
Run down /outdated for the cost per night Rooms were overpriced especially since they charge for parking per night! Double beds horribly small! No free coffee bar just a kerig machine with nothing extra! No attention to details! Just limit your stay cuz you will pay extra 30. Per night!
- 1/5
Staff were rude upon arrival, room were not ready had to sit in lobby over 2 hours waiting on rooms, the hallways smelled like mildew water. They must had a water leak because they had fans blowing in the hallway. They tried to charge me for water that was still on the table when I left. Called to advise about the situation the guy hung up in my face. Very unprofessional! Would never return to this hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room, polite staff, and the downtown shuttle is very convenient.
- 5/5
Really friendly staff clean rooms!!
- 3/5
Cons: The building is showing wear and needs maintenance throughout, lobby is quite chilly, no free breakfast, our toilet had a flapper issue that caused it to run for about 20 seconds every 5-10 minutes (we requested maintenance but either they did not show up or else did not fix the problem), front desk sent us to a double room first even though we reserved a king, location is near the freeway and surrounded by busy roads so is quite noisy.
- 4/5
Parking is paid per night, just fyi.
- 3/5
Room bathroom was dirty -the shower- view for the money was poor. Other than that, it was ok.
- 1/5
The staff was disrespectful from the moment I checked in. On my check out day housekeeping showed up at 8am making remarks as to why we were still there. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again
