I think they should’ve gave us a refund. We were in bed asleep. Someone came into our room woke us up and then ran out. The door left the door open went to the hallway. They went down the stairway never seen who it was.

Friendly staff and fast service When I booked, it didn’t let me know the pool was out of service. One of the reasons I booked was because of this amenity and I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to use it, especially with the weather being so hot.

The staff was helpful, the building was clean and room service was always early to clean and pick up trash Everything was good just the elevator that sounds like it's going to break down but it didn't and would be better if there was 2 elevators other than that it was a good place to stay

Room was spacious. Hotel was clean enough. Our room and the door to our room however was not secure and could be opened by sliding a credit card in the gap between the door frame and door to force the lock open. Our kitchen sink in our suite was clogged. There was seemingly one elevator that continuously skipped us on the 2nd floor to get passengers on the higher floors first and by the time it’d get back down to us, the elevator would be full. Every time. We had a cart of things to carry out each day so it’s not like we could easily squeeze into an already full elevator so we were either waiting more than 10+ minutes each time for an empty elevator or, frustrated and tired of waiting, we would carry all of our things down two flights of stairs, which we did numerous times. This issue alone is why we probably wouldn’t stay again.

That went off and I have a hurt ankle I’m healing. I used the safety bar for help and completely fell off throwing me into the shower and hurting my ankle even more. My spouse told them about it and how I was hurt . I also told them during check out and also in text message they send you asking if we need anything during the stay. Yet they didn’t seem to care. Now my physical therapy for my ankle be longer due to being hurt again and also my arm from The fall ( the bar only had one screw left hanging. It was completely taking off the wall!) I can’t imagine an elder person or someone in worst physical condition then me and this happen to.. it honestly could have killed someone who depends of them and taken a fall like I did. No refunds or sorry. They did send maintenance but told them wait tell I left cause I have younger kids. Love this hotel and my favorite to book and recommend but this was a very unfortunate accident and I feel like I should have been refunded due to injury/ fall. Never once was I asked if I was hurt/ if I was ok. Did I need medical attention. And my spouse even told them I can’t walk to front desk cause I was still down in the shower in pain trying to recover. So the lack of caring in a simi emergency is why I give the review. They should have asked if I was ok. The whole thing is off the wall and I should of been refunded

Our stay was a very pleasant. Our room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast area was very well kept and a male worker kept it well stocked . If I travel back to San Antonio, I will definitely stay her again .

The staff was nice . The entire hotel had a musty smell. The shower didn't work in one room.None of the bedside plugs work in the second room. Breakfast was good.Hopefully is hotel gets an upgrade.

Sheets and towels smelled sour, elevator was sketchy. Very motel vibe but hotel expectations. Large piece of egg shell in my scrambled eggs but other than that breakfast wasn’t bad

The hotel had a smell as soon you walked in. Same thing with the room it smell. The drain was really bad the water did not goes does for either shower tub or sink. Water was over floating

The stay was great , room was cold , staff was friendly , the lobby , elevator and hallways can use a little bit more cleaning . Room was very spacious ; our blind was broken in room prior to our stay but front staff was alerted right away and very helpful !

This was a nice hotel and I had a good stay. The exterior could have been cleaner (some trash in the parking lot not picked up) and the interior might need a refresh. But the staff were very pleasant and professional and the bed was super-comfy. The breakfast was OK but since it was included in a very reasonable room rate, there's really nothing to complain about there. The hotel is on the east side of Houston but only 20 minutes on Commerce Street from downtown. It's not located near anything of note except Frost Bank Arena (and an HEB if you need snacks or something) and beware that traffic in San Antonio these days is a nightmare, especially if you're unfamiliar with SA.

We stayed at the property for a AAU Basketball National Tournament from Thursday, June 18th-Sunday, June 21st. The property’s landscaping was unkept, especially in the back parking lot. The room was decent until the last date of our stay when we were about to go to the lobby to check out, my son discovered a roach on the bathroom door. I informed the front desk lady, wrote it on a piece of paper as she told me to do, and she wrote in a binder. The housekeeper came once during the stay, knocked a couple of times, and when no one answered because we were sleep, she entered and only took out the trash. The towels were never changed out as my sons had to reticence new towels from the lobby area by asking an employee for some, and our beds were only made up once. The hallways reeked of mildew due to the old carpet, and they never cleaned/vacuumed the hallways because we observed Fruit Loops cereals on the staircase and a q tip that was never picked up throughout the weekend.

I checked in and checked out 2 hours later. The hotel is situated in a not so desirable neighborhood. Parking is not secure although with monitored cameras at the front desk. Senseless because there’s never anyone at the front desk! Air conditioning in room was so loud I turned the volume of the TV up and the adjacent room came to complain that the tv was too loud. It was just a horrible experience. You get what you pay for.

Staff was not helpful didn't like the location...

This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. It was immediately evident that the room had not been properly cleaned before my arrival. There was hair all over the floor and hair in the tub as if someone had shaved and housekeeping never cleaned it. There was brown residue in the sink, stains on the floor, rust and grime around the fixtures, and dirt throughout the room. The photos speak for themselves. I immediately reported the condition of the room to the front desk and requested to be moved. I was told they would notify the manager, but they refused to accommodate me by providing another room. I then requested that my room be thoroughly cleaned the next day, and when I returned, it still had not been properly cleaned. To make matters worse, at breakfast there was a guest with a huge dog right next to the food area. It was absolutely disgusting and completely unsanitary. The location was also disappointing. The hotel is directly across the street from the projects, which added to my concerns about the overall environment and experience. At checkout, I asked to speak with a manager and was told she was already aware of my complaint. The staff refused to provide me with a phone number or email address for management. Cleanliness and basic customer service should be the bare minimum. This property failed on both. Between the filthy room, unsanitary conditions, lack of accommodation, and management’

Other than 1 mishap of not having a shower curtain, it was hastily dealt with and I had a great 2 nights there. Very convenient location near Frost Bank Center and Freeman Expo Hall.

Place was super clean and staff was really nice, the check in process was quick and easy. Tasty breakfast!

However, again, it served its purpose. The room overall was as clean as expected. There was only one elevator, which did make moving the luggage to and from the car difficult when multiple people were getting ready to check out. Also, there were no free weights or weight machines in the fitness center just an elliptical, a bike and some other type of cardio machine with an ab roller and a few medicine balls.

They had plugs as well as USB plugs between the two beds and the USB plugs didn't work. So we had to ruin a cord to the other side of the bed to charge each phone. Then the plugs in the wall that they had a lamp plugged in to only one plug worked. The floors were not very clean. In the corn next to the bed there were chips and next to the fridge was dog food. We didn't bring a food so it was not from us. We have stayed here three years in a row now and it seems that things are getting worse by the year. Won't be back next year. Going to find a new place.

This property was in a good location for what we needed, but I can’t say that it was super clean or well maintained. I will not stay there again.

In River view walk

We wanted to checkout the first day we got there. The sheets had stains, the microwave started popping on first use. The pool was broken. The breakfast was terrible. The staff did try to make it right by moving us to a different room - the sheets were better, the microwave worked, now the coffee machine was broken.

1 day the breakfast sausage was cold and 1 waffle maker didn't work. Parking was small in the front but bigger in the back.

Terrible stay here, checked in around 8pm and the lobby was very dark and dim with the lights turned off. Once I got to my room it had a weird aroma to it, almost like BO had mixed with cleaning products. There was also some red staining on the bed sheets that had a blue hue surrounding it as if someone had tried to clean or scrub off the red staining. this hotel also has conjoining doors between rooms and although the guy at the front desk ensured me they stayed locked at all times, I was able to unlock the door from my side and see the door attached to the room next to me. There was also random boogers and things stuck onto the wall that were hard to have missed if the rooms were cleaned properly. The inside of the shower was also dirty and could have easily been wiped clean. Hardest time ever trying to get a refund for this hotel, the front desk was unhelpful and told me he could not give me refund and I needed to contact the third party website I booked from. he never stated he could not refund me at all, just that he was unable to and to contact someone else. I was denied the refund from the property but was given a voucher from hotels.com who I booked through. Will never book here again and it is not worth the price at all. It was musty, gross, and in a weirdly sketchy part of town. Don't waste your time here, it's a DaysInn for a reason.

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at. It smelled musty and did not feel clean. The breakfast was terrible. Spend your money elsewhere

We simply slept a few hours to continue our trip, the beds are comfortable.

Lobby was clean and updated, rooms was not. Pool was freezing, small, and crumbling, but water was clean. Breakfast was stale white bread and weird tasting eggs with bad coffee.

It is very dated & was not clean. The towels are dingy, there is some sort of peel & stick on the bathtub and the edges are curling up. The drain in the tub/shower was not draining so we asked to be changed to a different room. The property was sold out so that was not an option, but they did get maintenance to fix that problem. These type issues should be fixed before guests arrive - it was so gross taking a shower while standing in the dirty water. The property is just run-down and definitely needs an update, but the property definitely needs to be cleaner.

Old building in sketchy neighborhood. Room needed maintenance and updating. Stopper didn't work in bathroom sink. There was rust on the tub. AC rattled loudly. Water was dripping from freezer in refrigerator. No coffee maker.

The only issue I faced was that there was no hot water. The water was lukewarm when it was about to be off so I showered with no much water

Overall a 3.5 stars. Room was decently cleaned but definitely needed a deep clean. Breakfast was okay, your typical continental breakfast. Parking was chill, they weren’t sticklers.

This hotel is in a bit of a rough neighborhood. There are no restaurants or amenities close by. The sheets on the bed were old and needed replacing, the pillows were disguising. I went and bought a new pillow for my stay. The bathroom needed a bit of a better clean, there was a clump of black hair in the corner of the bathroom.

Excellent place to stay. The cost is very reasonable. The rooms are very clean. The staff is very professional. I would highly recommend this place.

The room was impeccably clean, parking was convenient and well lit, staff were friendly, and breakfast was delicious. I am a mother traveling with my young son and I felt safe and well taken care of.

Good location to walk to Frost Bank Arena to see a game. Hotel was in good condition but could hear every door close in my room even though I was on the 4th floor. I think that the construction of this hotel was not done with the best materials for reducing sound.

The breakfast was not fabulous and the tables were sticky in the dining area. I feel like the owners are trying to improve the place. My towels were like brand new towels with a little extra lint and soft. Beds were very clean. I had to clean the counters, a chair with spill marks and bathroom surfaces myself. It was mostly clean, but there were sticky spots and the bathroom seat had some things not fully cleaned. Maybe they should have only room key access in the exterior doors. Because, I had to take my dog out for a potty break and some wild loud guy surprised when I stepped out into the hallway asking if i knew what room was David Bowies. He was serious. I told him I did not. And he proceeded to pass by yelling. Where you at. What room you in.

Very clean but we did see a live roach by the sink. The day after we checked in we didn’t receive any room service but I did mention that to the receptionist the following day and she made sure we had room service that day. Over all stay was good and close to where we would be attending that weekend.

Rooms are fine, very old building. Rusted shower heads, not the prettiest hotel inside and out. Very expensive for what you get and customer service is not that friendly.

The room size is adequate and it’s quite clean. However, the sound insulation is very poor — you can clearly hear noise from neighboring rooms. Not recommended for light sleepers. The included breakfast also has very limited options.
