Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio Downtown/Market Square

When I checked in I was told my deposit would be $40, but they charged an additional $50. The bistro wasn't open in the morning. We left a day early from our trip because we weren't happy with our room.

Good value

After leaving the other roach infested hotel. We went down the block to this one. Thankfully they had room and were very accommodating to me and my 10 year old. I hate that I didn't book here in the first place! Definitely will be the case next time!

My tub was extremely slow to drain. Everything else was wonderful. Extremely helpful and friendly staff and my room was immaculate. I was surprised to be charged $20 for parking but I suppose this is standard for Downtown locations.

Perfect distance away from downtown, but still close enough to go and enjoy. No hassle parking, and quite location. Room was spacious enough for the family, clean and comfortable.

I HAVE ONLY 1 DOWNSIDE. THE $20.00 TO PARK. HOPEFULLY THE CHARGE STOPS IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I REALLY LIKE THE HOTEL

Be careful with these ppl. Take pics of before and after your stay. They will over charge you for stuff after you leave.

Remote didn’t work in living room which got replaced, the pull out sofa bed was disgusting dirty and stained and smelled. The blankets that were in the closet for the sofa bed I pulled out and there was hair on it and smelled of urine. Didn’t even bother using anything. I took Lysol and Clorox wipes along with odorban and sprayed down and wiped it all. Bathroom was gross as well, I am not being dramatic either.. my kids were grossed out by it all. Water pressure was low, bathtub was dirty and needs to be updated. Microwave/ fridge was okay even though we didn’t use any of it. I wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t book again! Also the hallways had air conditioners out there cause the air was out was what the maid said it was cool but with a musty humid smell. $350.00 later and I’m regretting it. We ended up getting my kids 16,18 yo a room next door at La Quinta. smh

Loved the location, the morning staff was great, the room we stayed in was spacious and everytime we entered our room it was cool/cold. The shower was small, wifi didn't work for us and one of the night ppl (Rose) was rude to my son when he purchase some food items in the store at the hotel lobby.

The room was not clean. Stains on the carpet and the restroom was not kept clean. We booked the suite with sofa bed because we had our to older kids but definitely not worth the price. Plus we paid an extra 120 for our grand puppy. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the river walk. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Very charming staff, fast check-in, clean room with comfortable bed!

I didn't like that room looked like it wasn't cleaned before me, there was trash and bugs and welcome sign had another name on it.

Clean rooms, balcony, gated parking, walkable for downtown, delicious breakfast, Starbucks drinks and there’s a store nearby with necessities. We were greeted promptly, the lobby was nice and clean. It’s in a quiet spot.

We stayed for 3 nights. This is our 4th time staying at this hotel. We enjoy it every single time. We will definitely be back for our next trip. Staff were nice, and helpful. We definitely recommend.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 double beds and a pull out couch. It’s meant to sleep 6. However, the bathroom is so compact only one person can get ready at a time. We staycation here all the time and have never been disappointed. The beds are comfy. The pool is always clean. The staff are all super friendly. Can't wait for our next visit.

Good deal for the money.

It was clean and the facilities were fine- nothing outstanding. The ad for this Marriott were misleading in that you can walk to the Riverwalk area but it’s very inconvenient and not advised to do so. We had to rent a car.

This propert is ok. It’s not fancy, but it’s also not run down. The beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly.

When I made reservations, breakfast was included. The set up for breakfast is very confusing. I saw people ordering and paying. When I asked the receptionist about it, she said if you paid for it, you will get it?!!

Location OK, Clean Room OK, Parking OK but still getting charges to my card one month later....

First of all we get there I purchased 2 queen beds because we were a family of 3 I get there they stated that they had sold our room and only had a king bed with a sleeper sofa if you only knew how bad that sofa was they had the audacity to say that their members were more important than a paid customer that really pissed me off never doing business with them again

The beds were HARD. In-room coffee was very minimal, so I did not even bother with it. They had a single water bottle in the room that they wanted $6 for (Absolutely not). I really did not like that I had to pay for parking in a standard parking lot. This was not a parking garage... I feel parking is part of staying at the hotel. Why would I have to pay extra!!!! The pool was freezing cold. The breakfast was okay. Some of it was good, some of it was not. very limited though, and I HAD TO PAY EXTRA FOR THAT. Overall, I picked this hotel because I have stayed at multiple Marriotts before, and they were very nice, with lots of amenities. This one was just okay. I would not stay here again.

40 dollars for parking is ridiculous

Front desk personnel were courteous and efficient, the room was disappointing. The room was noisy with both neighboring guests and street noise. There was effectively no counter space for the guest to set things down, neither in the living space nor the bathroom. There was no working fan in the bathroom. Using the shower for the first time, I noted some form of substance stuck to the inside of the shower curtain liner; on exiting, a clump of hair on the backside. On my way out in the morning, I requested that the liner be replaced. Upon my return, I noted that the liner had been replaced, but the clump of hair sat in the shower pan. It seems removal of the hair was not considered part of the duty of the person who made the liner change. I will not return to this hotel.

Everything was nice. The only issue was the staff. Becky in particular was just not a good fit for the job. She was very disrespectful and rude and got very defensive in every conversation we had. I had a couple issues and questions during the stay and when speaking to her about it, she acted like I was dumb and was very rude. And she even questioned, “have you ever stayed at a hotel before?” I don’t care how a customer makes you feel or how your day is going, you don’t act that way. Because now I do not want to stay here again. Other than that, everyone else I encountered was great.

I didn’t eat breakfast so can’t rate it. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was there for a friends wedding. The room and property was very clean.

Overall great value. Cozy vibes with fireplace, outdoor pit, & pool courtyard. Super friendly & helpful staff! Food/drink was pricey but really good quality. Room was comfortable (love having fresh air balcony) although dusty. Have to walk a bit for restaurants/ bars as nothing in surrounding area but there’s a nice grocery store.

Also… one morning, very early around 4:30 AM we woke up to what we believe was a dumpster pick up vehicle banging the container down not once twice but four times ..really annoying

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Friendly, professional staff. Impressively clean throughout. Safe, secure self parking is $20. Not happy having to pay. Excellent location to Alamodome and walking distance to the market place. If in San Antonio again we would stay here again.
