Reviews
The hotel has a great location near the Riverwalk, with friendly staff and clean rooms. However, many guests have reported issues with overbooking, construction noise, and pushy timeshare sales. Some guests have also expressed disappointment with the lack of amenities and parking.

The staff friendly and the apartment itself was roomy and comfortable (although there was a lot of street noise). The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. If you need to save money, the location is close to major attractions, but having to enter through the back alley didn't feel safe at night. Check-in was a hassle - you have to go to La Cascada to get your keys, which is not a walkable distance. The entrance to the apartments was in a back alley that smelled like trash and felt sketchy. There are no facilities with this propery. Additionally, the hotel charged $15 dollars per night for the Houston Street Garage. The flat rate for the garage is only $10 per day, so unless you need the in-out option, better to just pay for parking directly through the garage (which would also save you the extra step of having to return the garage key). If you really need to save money, this hotel might be a good option, but if you can afford it, I'd recommend paying more to stay somewhere else.

Close & easy access to everything we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable. I liked sitting out on the terrace and our balcony overlooking the Riverwalk. We were told of the noise from Riverwalk. It definitely was noisy, but since it was expected, it was ok, I used the ear plugs provided and slept wonderful in the comfortable beds. I didn't like that we didn't stay longer, lol.

There were shops and food nearby on the riverwalk and elsewhere. Have no idea if the place was pet friendly as I am not a pet owner.

Location just off the Riverwalk was fantastic.....easy access. Check in process was easy. Suite was clean and super nice. Lobby was rough and on an alley that was kinda dirty/seedy. Not much of an entrance presense. No breakfast.

Apt is fantastic. Plenty of space and clean. Staff was exceptional! Every request was met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Shower: entry & exit is a hazard. Especially for young & old. The barrier is too high and thick for easy safe entry/exit.

We booked a 2 bedroom and got 2 1-bed rooms with a connecting door, overlooking an alley. Very narrow footprint, so the only way to get through one room to the other is to move the table. Instead of one living area big enough for our group, we had two tiny living areas, each with a kitchenette, table for 2, loveseat, and TV. It was fine for 2 days, but would have been challenging for longer.

LOVED the location- staff was exceptional. Truly made our experience so wonderful. We will 100% be back. James and Dani were the best staff we experienced through our 10 day trip. Dani’s suggestions were amazing and James put on a wonderful social and was so quick to help with ANYTHING I wish there was a pool or maybe a larger lounge area near the concierge. James put on a magnificent wine and cheese social but there was little room to socialize.

I booked my reservation in January 2024 for a stay in June 2024. On the day of arrival for my destination, I received a call in the morning that the air conditioning was out in the building, and that if it wasn’t fixed by the time I needed to check in that they would be relocating guests. They said they would call me if needed to relocate. I had a reservation for a two bedroom suite, arrived by plane with my family of five. Upon landing, I had no messages from the hotel so we drove there. When we arrived I was told that the ac was still not working and was given a number to call for relocation. The hotel staff had no idea where we were relocating to. So, I call and spoke with a representative, was put on hold for 30 minutes while she tried to figure it out, and then was told that she needed to contact the hotel to confirm. She tried to call them and said she was unable to reach them. She said she would email them, and said response was usually quick, then she would call me back. I never received a call back during my three night trip. I ended up calling around all night to find new accommodations. I found three rooms at La Quinta (no 2-bedroom suites to be found anywhere), and paid slightly more. They were very accommodating, great location, had free breakfast daily, and a swimming pool (which Riverside did not have). Needless to say, my experience with Wyndham Riverside was utterly dissatisfying. I would not recommend. San Antonio is hot af and to have a hotel without ac that left me stranded with my family was horrible. I was lucky that we rented a car and didn’t Uber there otherwise we would have been screwed.

Our reservation was canceled just before our arrival due to overbooking the hotel. Our reservation was paid in full months previously to our arrival. Leaving us scrambling for another hotel room. Totally unprofessional and not cool. Will not use this service again.

Great location, right on the RiverWalk, friendly staff, clean room with lots of amenities…but…soundproofing is non-existent and partiers on the RiverWalk and loud cars will keep you up until 3 am, then street cleaners and service trucks roll in at 6 am to start delivering supplies to all the adjacent restaurants. Provided earplugs didn’t do squat. Hardly slept my whole stay.
- 5/5
Awesome location along the Riverwalk! Loved the available patio to relax at. Our room was nicer than we expected it to be!
- 4/5
I would recommend this property !!

The room was under the main AC roof. The sound and vibration were terrible. We were not able to have a please y stay. They try accommodate us on a different room, however I do not understand why they let their clients to stay in that room.

Would stay again and recommend to anyone.
- 5/5
I liked the separate bedroom
- 4/5
The staff were great and the room had all we needed. There are not many amenities at the hotel. Also, the hotel is located across from Hard Rock Café so be ready for music until 12:00pm. It is very centrally located on the River Walk and to the River Market and Alamo. We walked everywhere.
- 2/5
The hotel had no water, so we did not get a shower until the day of checkout. When asked about accommodations, they gave us the name of two hotels, but forgot to mention that we would have to pay. So they had us going back and forth, and the front desk staff wasn’t really friendly and seemed clueless.
- 5/5
Location was odd, but so close to everything. 1 minute to the riverwalk and parking. Patio overlooked the riverwalk. The rooms were odd but had many windows and it just worked. It is a city with downtown quirks. Staff very nice.
- 5/5
Great views, and convenient to shops, dining, and nice walk on riverside to the convention center.
- 5/5
Offered free hop on hop off bus tour and canal tour. As usual nothing in life is really free. Tole we had to sit and listen to a presentation for an hour. We were willing since we know nothing is really free, however after two hours we had to be rudely forceful to be let out of the conference center.

You can't beat the location of this property if you want to be on the Riverwalk. It's at the heart of things. The room was really clean, bed was comfy, the pull out couch wasnthe best but they never are. We loved the patio overlooking the river, great place to relax and enjoy a meal or drinks. Our room was on the opposite side from the river and noisy but we expected that. The concierge hooked us up, the shuttle driver gave great recommendations, the front desk ladies were helpful. Only downside is parking a block away in the parking garage. It's $15/day so not terrible, just inconvenient. We opted to go to the sales pitch in exchange for money. They weren't pushy at all and we got great recommendations for off Riverwalk destinations. We'll stay here if we go back make it back to SA.

The following morning, I reported something I had noticed the night before while in the restroom. The ceiling had a leak right over the sink. I told a man at the front desk who assured me it would be resolved. He also said it was probably from a cooling system, which is not any consolation. When I returned to the hotel that night, I found the ceiling was still leaking through the vent. I did not see a note in the room or text or email from the hotel explaining if they were going to fix it. I was upset this morning while getting ready over the sink for 45 minutes and I keep having a drip from the ceiling hit me. I cringe to think what if it was toilet or shower water. The drip drops every 25-40 seconds. I did time it. I am disappointed to have a toilet that didn’t flush and then have a dripping bathroom ceiling that went unfixed. I am reaching out to you because my concern was not addressed when I shared it Wednesday morning. I checked out wishing I had stayed elsewhere.

It was in the middle of all the action. Great spot! We were there for five days we let the housekeeping in one of the days and all she did was empty the garbage cans none of the towels were taken off the floor the floor was not clean and did not replace roll of toilet paper.

The location of our room was perfect. The bed was the most comfortable one we've slept in on a trip.

I booked a 2bdrm suite in April for December trip. from the ad and a previous conversation I had with VRBO I "assumed" we were in a unit that was owned by an individual. (vacation rental by OWNER) Upon arrival they had put us in a 1 bdrm suite. The Rep from Wyndham suites advised me the reservation had been changed to a 1 bedroom through Expedia on December 19th? I called customer service, was put on hold while they tried to see what happened, eventually was told the computers were down and they would call me back. Meanwhile we went to the 1 bedroom suite. They did not call back, I recalled later that evening and was told by Raven that they did not make any changes and it was not VRBO responsibility and that I had to deal with Wyndaym Suites. I could not get an explanation why Expedia would be handling my reservation when I booked through VRBO. In the meantime, I had to sleep on a pull-out couch in the small livingroom. As hard as I tried not to let this "screw-up" ruin my vactation, it did. Shawna from Wyndham Suites did speak with me on the second day and she apologised for the mix up. She sent messages to "Extra Holidays" to assist me with getting a refund. I still can't figure out how a unit that is a Wyndham time share unit could appear on VRBO and the reservation be changed by a Booking company. I was told at Wyndham suites that unused time shares are booked through Wyndham and not through VRBO. With Shawna's assistance I did receive a 231.17 refund for the difference between the 1 bdrm and 2 bdrm suite for 5 nights. Hardly worth the inconvience and more important disappointment that was caused. I have yet to speak with anyone from VRBO.

Great location! Friendly and helpful staff! The hotel did not immediately have our reservation, but took care of it for us and got us our room. Be aware...the staff has to pitch a sales requirement that requires over a 2 hour commitment and they bait you with coupons and deals and the shuttle service. Decline and take the VIVA bus wherever you need to go! Overall the hotel was a great place to stay and I would return!
- 5/5
Great location close to restaurants, the Alamo, carriage rides, etc. Our 2 kids loved the balcony overlooking the river. Being in the heart of it all, it was loud at night while relaxing in the living room but stayed very quiet in the bedrooms without the use of earplugs. The dark bedrooms due to no windows allowed everyone to sleep in! Staff was very friendly to our children too. The only negative was the super intense water pressure in the shower.
- 5/5
The property was exactly how it was shown in the pictures. The unit was clean and freshly painted and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was awesome. The balcony view of the Riverwalk was awesome. I would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located within steps to riverwalk in San Antonio. Has common area patio overlooking riverwalk to sit & sip wine in the evening. Rooms were extremely cramped, a stretch even for downtown hotels. In fact, this is not even a hotel, it is a timeshare property. However when we booked, we were not told that it was a timeshare property. In fact, even though this says it is the Wyndham property, it is actually owned and operated by somebody local with license from Wyndham to use their name. Which sucks because these local operators don’t maintain standards. They have some weird rules: no housekeeping service is one of the annoying rules, especially if you’re booked us a hotel guest and not as a timeshare guest. Hotel is very pricey because of the location, but there numerous numerous other options nearby which are far better options.
- 4/5
Even though the units were older, the suites were newly updated/painted and clean. The space and kitchenette was sizable enough for my family of four. The suites were so convenient to the Riverwalk. We would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
I didn’t get to stay - they told us they received our reservations late (wrong) and moved us to a hotel away from the Riverwalk where we wanted to be & away from everything else

Very romantic place. Great location. Excellent staff.

I would like to note however, we did not receive any prior communication about our hotel transfer. This created much confusion when we arrived. Luckily Irene at the front desk was super helpful and helped us figure out where we were to go.
- 1/5
Somehow the hotel lost a pre-paid reservation. Furthermore, I was forced to stay at a different hotel which turned out to be a blessing is disguise (Walking up & down the street with my luggage mind you). In addition, there is no valet available & absolutely nowhere to park...unless you are satisfied parking 2-3 Blocks away and walking with your luggage down an "alley-way" of a street.
- 4/5
The only problem was there was no record of our reservation when we got in at midnight. Maria got it taken care of quickly and we were grateful. The furniture is out dated but the rooms were nice and clean. Would definitely stay there again
- 3/5
Check in awful. Check in staff very kind. Back office management rude and unaccommodating. Would not honor terms on Expedia. This is a time share and they said owners frequently "false advertise' in order to sell their week. Showed them our reservation confirmation and terms on iPhone. Said they had no obligation to fulfill this because I went through a 3rd party and I wasn't an owner. Front door of hotel empties out to dirty, smelly alley. What a way to start each day.
- 2/5
The size of the kitchen table was greatly misrepresented in the advertising. We couldn’t enjoy anytime in the room together. There was not enough seating in the too small kitchen/living area. Every clerk was distracted or rude except for Irene who was fantastic. The entrance to the place is small and not very clearly marked. We passed it multiple times before finding it. The location on the river walk was great. Overall disappointed with the apartment.
