Best Western Sea World/Lackland AFB NW Hotel & Suites

The indoor pool, the gym area.. rooms were ok.. the lady working in the morning was so sweet she even prayed for us before we got on the road.. Some floors were coming up and we had a little tripping here and there exiting the pool area/gym..

I would’ve been fine with the stay if only I didn’t come to find a nasty used bed. We went upstairs to show her ourselves and behold, there it was. Hair in the sheets and even a dirty floor with potato chips still by the couch!! We even offered to help her change the bed sheets if she didn’t know how to. We just wanted fresh linen. One time she even said “Idk where the fresh linen is….” Horrible experience. They couldn’t care less about their job, nor the cleanliness of the rooms. Check your rooms if you stay here.

All my family loved the hotel and everything was so comfortable and everything was so clean and the staff was so nice Nothing to say though everything was alright

The staff was okay they gave me towels and bedsheets when I ask. The bad thing was the breakfast wasn’t really bad and full of ants everywhere and the kitchen staff didn’t care (probably not their job) but I was amused by how infested by ants it was and the bad smell in the lobby and the room wasn’t properly clean and we had to buy our pub shampoos because all containers were empty. For the price I should have stayed somewhere else.

This facility is well located, clean and the staff are very friendly. 1. Their breakfast is disappointing. We had the same breakfast for 3 nights and no variety for choices unlike other BW I have been. 2. Also some of their towels are no more white and have stains. 3. They gave me a dirty torn key card already used by a customer although they changed it when I complained but that shouldn’t have happened in the first place because of infection control.

The initial room I booked for was dirty. The sheets weren’t clean and the floor smelled like cigarettes. They moved to another floor which was better but then we saw a roach😭😭😭 I was anxious and worried about the cleanliness of the place. Wouldn’t go back

Stayed here like 3 times before everything was great.

The location was convenient. The room was extremely dusty and had a distinct, unpleasant smell. The carpet was also very dirty, with what appeared to be blood stains on it. Aside from the sheets, nothing in the room seemed to have been properly cleaned. When we first checked in, the AC was completely off, and the room was extremely hot and uncomfortable. When I brought this up to the receptionist, I was told that they turn the AC off whenever a room is unoccupied and that it had been off since the previous guest checked out. I explained that since the hotel knew we had a reservation and were arriving with our family, they could have at least turned the AC on before our arrival so we wouldn’t have to walk into an extremely hot room. Once the AC was running, the amount of dust in the room made things even worse. The air quality was so uncomfortable that we could barely sleep the first night. My two-year-old had an especially difficult time sleeping, which was by far the most frustrating and upsetting part of the experience. We eventually had to turn the AC back off and open the windows just to get some fresh air and ventilation. We reported these issues to the receptionist and asked to be moved to another room, but they were not helpful and said there was no one available to clean the room. The hallways also had a very unpleasant smell, and the carpets throughout the property looked dirty and poorly maintained. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Between the excessive dust, unpleasant smell, dirty and stained carpet, hot room upon arrival, and lack of assistance from the staff, the stay was extremely disappointing. Most importantly, the conditions made it difficult for my two-year-old to sleep comfortably. I would not stay at this property again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely nothing The online listing for this hotel is highly misleading. While the photos show updated, clean rooms, the actual room was dirty with mystery stains on the carpet. The overall interior resembles a neglected housing project, and the building has a severe odor problem. The lobby smelled strongly of propane, while the elevators smelled heavily of roach spray. To make matters worse, my son noticed ants crawling all over the breakfast buffet.The service was equally poor and disorganized. At check-in, the front desk agent mistakenly told me my room had a pull-out sofa, even though I booked a two-room suite. She then handed me a set of dirty sheets to put on the sofa myself. I requested new sheets immediately. When we finally got to the room, there was no pull-out couch at all. This was a disgusting, completely unacceptable experience.

Inside pool but it needed to be cleaned . Loved the people that worked there, manager was a doll so kind, so nice, took care of my issue getting my kids in a room next door to me. Let's start before I even checked in I went into use the restroom in the lobby and it was so disgusting and nasty toilet paper was everywhere at the trash can was overflowing second check into the hotel come to find out I'm having to make the pull-out couch bed up myself cuz it is not made up second I realized the door didn't close unless we forwarded tight so it didn't close right behind us it would get stuck on the carpet and still be cracked open mind you I had a child with me one years old second the sink in the restroom did not drain took hours for water to go down in it third did not have any kind of soap in there to wash our hands with third the toilet paper was rough that it gave us rashes we have to go and buy toilet paper to use to protect our private areas for females another thing trash from my understanding I was told by a staff there that if I set trash outside that I could get charged $50 for setting trash out okay so what else am I supposed to do with the trash when you only have two little trash cans in there with just two trash bags what else am I supposed to do with the trash I'm not going to let it just sit up and pile up in my room and smell okay mind you that mind you the reason why y'all say we couldn't set the trash out because of the carpet that didn't even matter because the fact that job building was so hot that we were sweating on the elevators and in the hallways and the list can go on with the amount of problems there on that property Best Wester

I reported torn cushion from the sofa bed, it was never changed (send picture of it to the manager). Last morning the noise from roof work was insane very early. Never got room service cleaning during my stay. I had to go down for towels and empty trash on cans that were on hallway. There was no shampoo or body wash, bottles were empty. No toner to print in office area.

Curtains for the shower are too old and outdated, also the pool needs updating on everything including furniture but most important the cleaning is not that great at the pool.

Always book this hotel , very nice workers , property is kept up with . The hot tub was amazing the breakfast was delicious!!

We called at 2:15 to see if we could check in about early (check in at 3pm). We were told no, that rooms won’t be ready until 3pm. We checked in after 4pm and our room had jot been cleaned. The floors were filthy. We had to call down to have someone come and vacuum the floors, I had to use my cleaning wipes to wipe down surfaces, and the bathroom faucet had a constant stream the entire time, even when off. The pull out sofa bed had mud stains, dirt, and crumbs on it, and the phone was not plugged in to call downstairs. The tile floor on the main floor had multiple areas that were warped and felt as if I was walking on a bounce house. The elevators jolted at every stop. For the breakfast, the cereal was stale and had zero crunch. The eggs were premade and had a rubber texture and the creamer was brown and the bottom of the bottle (on the inside). From the photos, the hotel seemed like it would be a great stay, but from the actual appearance it is obvious the upkeep and maintenance is very poor. The biggest turn off was the amount of weed odor coming from second floor, very repulsive.

Forgot to mention you can literally hear anybody above your room walking around!

The only 1-10 rating I could give them is 1 for not having drawers to put your clothes in and 1-10 rating is 3 for the tv service. It was so complicated to use and know what the stations were. That is all

When we arrived, they had over booked and didnt have a room available for us. Desk clerk had to call the manager and we ended up with a room but it was nothing like the pictures. It was outdated, dirty and had someone else's food in the fridge from the previous stay. The breakfast wasn't good at all and all of the carpets were gross. Do not recommend.

The staff was excellent, because it is an older hotel they really need to do some updates. It has an order on the stairwell and on the third floor. There was mold in the shower. The breakfast was okay.

Yes the breakfast was awesome we enjoyed it.But my room door was already open and seems like some was in there because it was used cups on the counter but I checked my room for safety It was a great room a lil noisy at times but we was in a great area of town and lose to my destination.I loved the room overall and the pool was indoor so that was an amazing awesome day.

The room carpet was dirty my son’s allergies flared up. The hallway to the room was smelly.

Additionally, the breakfast area is small so if it’s crowded at all, don’t expect to be able to get a table to sit down with your family.

Room was dirty, didn’t get cleaned daily, closet rack to hang clothing was backwards and couldn’t use it to hang our clothes. I asked for a luggage rack to hang our clothes. When we got back to the room all of our clothing was spread out on bed and they took the luggage rack. Window blind didn’t work. Everything was reported since first day and was told it will get fixed and they never fixed anything.

The rooms feel very outdated. The carpet looks old and worn, and the bathrooms are also very old. I don’t necessarily think the hotel is dirty, but because everything is so outdated it gives that impression. The rooms and bathrooms definitely need renovations. The best part of the stay was the breakfast. It was delicious.

So the room itself was very good. The location was very good as well. The rooms were very big with a very big bed. I think it was a king size bed, but it was very big. The only thing that I had an issue with they had no hot water in that hotel that weekend. I stayed there, but other than that I would definitely stay there again

They didnt have hot water pretty much the entire time we stayed there. We booked for 8 days so we didnt really have a choice. They also for sure had bed bugs considering I got bit. I recognize the pattern. Took precautions to not bring them home.

I chose this Hotel because I thought it would be a nice stay and close to where I needed to be. I arrived after driving over 21hrs. And just wanted to relax in my room that was booked. I took the elevator and it needs serviced badly. It sounds broken or like it’s about to snap. It did see that there certificate expires on December 5,2025 I did not feel safe taking it. Hopefully someone gets this taken care of because safety issue. Room and the comforter was dirty with brown spots all over it. The people above my room had children that would not stop running around whatsoever. So I went to the front desk and asked if I could be moved the women said there was nothing she could do because I paid more for that room. I told her I’d like a different room and she said there was nothing she could do about the price and put me into another room. The ceiling was leaking water all over the bathroom. And was ready to fall through. I noticed also with this room the room was not cleaned properly. Looked dirty. So again I had to go back downstairs and ask for another room. The next room I was given was better than the first two but the toilet was not cleaned. And again the spots on sheets and comforters is unsettling. I paid for 3 nights and only stayed two. I was ready to go because of the way the rooms looked and nothing got done. It also says free breakfast and every time I went down there was no biscuits to go with the eggs and sausage. We enjoyed our stay. check in was super easy. our room didn’t have a closet door but that was our least worry. staff was friendly. loved they have a snack / drink vending machine. But, i do believe there should be more variety of breakfast like pancakes, ham and egg, maybe beans and tortillas. etc, something different. We will definitely be coming back to stay.

The people were friendly. The room had no furniture with drawers. The walk in shower had mold throughout the bottom behind the sealant - no bath tub. The room and bath room looked clean otherwise, but no strap across the toilet or anything pointing out the room and bathroom were cleaned and/or disinfected. The key cards didn't work half of the time, and I watched a clerk program a new key card without checking ID to confirm their room number. All of my chargers and cords were taken from my room. I left the information for management. The form provided was a torn piece of paper. I never heard from them.

The hotel was close to parks. Poor service from desk. Pool area very poorly kept. Exhaust vents in room were clogged. No body soap in room. Shower knob was broken. Wouldnt turn off. Wife killed a roach once too. Plus no safes.

Tried calling to ask a question, person who answered was rude. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk, had to wait 15 + mins.

Parking was easy, some staff was pleasant, but the hotel itself needs to be updated. The floors creak badly, and the restroom in our room didnt have a shower knob so i was very difficult to turn on and off. Room was hot!! Sauna hot as the a/c was off when you knew you had a family coming from over 5 hours away, there were roaches crawling on the walls and a pungent smell in the hallways of rotten something. When the issue is brought up to the front desk they dismiss it like it’s not a big deal. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend at all!

There's a funky smell when you walk into the hotel. The hotel was removing old mattresses, tvs and chairs and the waiting area and halls were with boxes. The room had a weird humid smell to it. Our covers even thought they were clean had yellowish stains on them, one had a red dot about the size of a nickle. The pull out couch mattress was DISGUSTING full of stains, flat and old. Our door would close but towards the bottom to the side you could see inside/outside the room like the door isnt leveled correctly. There was a hole on the wall too.
