Best Western Plus San Antonio East Inn & Suites

Very nice hotel and close to my job site. Good access right off I-10, friendly staff, nice breakfast (except the coffee sucked), adequate fitness room & overall, the facility was clean and well maintained. Definitely be staying here again!

It was easy to find, they were one of few who had rooms on 4th of July night. The room was very spacious, bedding was clean, area was quiet, beds were comfy. The staff were amazing, very patient, smiled, explained everything to me. The price was almost $400 for just one night. The restroom didn’t seem to be all the way clean, but that could have just been me.

I would absolutely have scored the hotel a 10 except for the noise all night from traffic (especially trucks) on I-10. I had to turn on a sleep sound app to try to cover the noise.

The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and a nice variety.

Had a little trouble keeping the thermostat set at a steady temperature...but other than that, we had a comfortable stay. The bed is very comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Jacuzzi Tub Had No Hot Water & I Was Super Disappointed Being That Was My Main. Focus For A Relaxing Weekend.

The breakfast experience was very stressful. We weren't allowed to simply make a plate and return to our rooms. We were told we could only have our breakfast in the dinning room and the staff was very particular about what we had and what utensils we were allowed to utilize for our meal. We had a baby in the room sleeping and we were told that we couldn't simply make a plate and return to our room so we had to go eat individually while one stayed with our baby. I mean...its not that serious people! There were no rules posted stating this anywhere and when i asked why this was a problem I was told they don't want people eating in the rooms...but bringing dinner back to the room was okay? Double standards. Other than that, it was okay.

Fast check-in & friendly staff.

Location was fairly close to the dance we were attending. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. The only working ice machine was on the first floor and our room was on the third floor. Very inconvenient to have to wait on the one elevator to go get one bucket of ice.

The hotel is great for a one-night stay when you’ve been traveling down I10 for a long time. Rooms were clean, everything tidy. Good breakfast (just get the bacon out earlier!). All in all very satisfied.

The breakfast was fresh and was refilled as soon as the other batch was almost out. Staff was friendly. The bathroom did have dust on the base boards and corners of the walls. The ice machine on the third floor was out of order.

Stay there when I’m San Antonio for business

Had my truck in the shop next door and ended up staying here for several nights. Super clean, breakfast was great, and I even managed to get a couple of work outs in the fitness center onsite. Staff was very freindly and courteous. I highly recommend this hotel if you need a place for a few days.

Great stay; as a woman traveling solo - felt safe. Cameras on cars in parking lot. Parking lot has good lighting. Did not try the breakfast. Room was clean.

Staff at the cafeteria were super rude. Didn’t appreciate the fact that she kept telling everyone in our party to come in earlier or we wouldn’t be served not knowing that we had arrived super late and drove hours to get there. The following day we heard the same persons deny service to a family because they were there 15 min til 9 am.

Rm 301. I left my leopard plush blanket. I'm sure one of the housekeepers has it now. Other than that issue, our stay was ok.

Great experience

Only issue was you either had a cold shower or a hot shower. Water was not mixing well, unable to get right temperature. Hair dryer was not working but was able get it exchanged for one that worked at front desk.

Older Best Western. For the rate you can stay on the river walk in a much nicer hotel. Just have to pay parking most likely or valet

Clean room and easy check in. Went to get breakfast at 6am and the lady serving rudely told me that if I took the food to my room I wouldn’t be allowed to come back in to breakfast area, not sure why she thought it a good idea to call me out in front of other guest. She also told me that the last guy threatened to beat her up for not allowing more food. I really just wanted a yogurt!

Handy location. Nice staff. Good space. Pillows were hard and found a fingernail on the carpet. Otherwise, clean.

Excellent staff, the breakfast was very good and the room was very clean. The only negative was the traffic noise from the highway I-10.

For the cost, we thought the hotel was good but not "very good" as it is rated on Hotels.com. It was located in a industrial area, and construction workers loitered in the parking lot, making us a bit uncomfortable.

Our stay was last minute and no others in area. This is an older hotel or seems like it by its appearence. The desk staff was nice. The entry and elevator were a bit dirty-floors. It does have a stuffy smell. The room was suprisenly clean. There was a couple of towels in the restroom with stains and looked like not washed. The bed sheets smelled clean but pillow cases were questionable. The matress was curved/sunken to the center…big time. Overall…for $140ish total for one night, area, last minite…was ok but not recommend for longer stay. Not booking in future.

This hotel is very hard to find its right under the freeway, so I missed the sharp left 3 times. Again it's right under the freeway so it loud and noisey. We got the in room tub but the water drains from the spa tub the entire time. A light was pointed directly at the window, I asked twice if they could point the light not at the window. The front desk guy was kind and called the Manger and they were able to point the light not at the room unfortunately it fell again and the light was directly pointed at the room hours later, so it was hard to sleep with the light and the noise. The shower chair in the bath tub in the shower was dirty and stained needs to be scrubbed badly. I asked for extra towels and toilet paper and was asked why I needed them. We obviously ran out of toilet paper. In the morning at breakfast the lady micromanage me. Told me what cup I could use for what, told me I couldn't take my 1 plate of food to go, tht if I took a plate to go I couldn't come back. It's like please let me eat in peace, it's early, it's the morning. I don't need someone being pushy and rude to me. Then she mopped the floor and didn't post signs and I almost slipped. They do offer room service but it's not located in the building so it took an hour. The beds are not that comfortable and the spa tub room only has a queen bed in it. The TV services such as Amazon prime, Netflix, paramount plus non of the on demand features worked. Very out dated hotel. won'ever stay here again. An

Clean and good location

Upon check-in I was greeted warmly and professionally. Having the breakfast on-site is a big plus with me. I can get something to eat to get my day started without having to drive to get breakfast. I can't think of anything I didn't like about my stay. The location was very convenient for my needs.

For the price and proximity to downtown, this place was amazing. Not much to eat nearby, but nothing was more that 10-15 minutes away. The truck stop is pretty busy so trucks coming in and out can be loud at times. Still a great stay for me and my family of 7.

Only problem I had was the loud truck stop next to my window.

Stayed one night because in town for a job interview. Chose this based on reviews but was disappointed. The area is very industrial and doesn’t feel safe outside. There was mold in my shower and had to fix my shower faucet because it wouldn’t work. Heard sirens all night long. Price was good and was close to my interview but I wouldn’t stay again. Staff were good.

The room smelled of BO. Thankfully I had Frebrez. The pillows there small, the bed was a rock and there were black lines on the TV screen.

Not much. Bare bones. The cheapest of everything. Extremely dated. Located in dust bowl (don’t wash your car until you’ve departed). Stained upholstery and carpet. Belly-filler breakfast, typical of this category. More a BW policy comment. Arrived at property at 1:30 pm. Greeted at front desk. Told polite employee that I was aware that I was early, but if there was a room available, it would be very convenient for the rest of my day. Here’s my policy issue. The employee said that my room was ready, and that I could check in, however there would be a $30 early check in fee, and she would check me in if I wanted to do that. BW, what is your marginal cost of having a customer check into an available, unoccupied room 90 minutes early? Answer: Very Nearly Zero. The cost to BW of any chance that I (customer) will have any positive feelings towards BW or this property could be significant. By the way, what’s the early check-in fee for arriving at 2:30 pm? What about 2:50?

Front desk clerk was so courteous

Staff was pretty friendly. I requested room for 4 and only 3 towels were in the restroom.

The staff was friendly, that was the good part, but the room was not it. Crumbs on the floor from the previous guests, the towels and bed sheets have this distinct old smell. The bathroom sink stunk. All in all, more like a cheap motel experience, not worth it for the price.

i didn't like that the carpet in my room had a funny smell and at first the WIFI was giving issues

It was a pleasant stay

Pulling up we were nervous due to the industrial surroundings but upon entering were plesently surprised. Top notch customer service, clean rooms, breakfast was delicious and by far the MOST comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in. We will stay here everytime we visit San Antonio.

It was a decent stay. Room was meh at most. Carpet was dirty and no water pressure. Plus side bed was super comfortable. The location is off the highway and i was a bit nervous about the truckers but we never felt unsafe one we were there. I would be ok staying again if i needed to.

Very convenient stop on the way through Texas. Great night of sleep and breakfast was served before we left in the morning.

It's a fair place to stay, but will likely look for someplace different next time in San Antonio. It's right on on highway, so lots of road noise and right next to trucker parking lots.

I thought the room was clean.and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Close to the River walk. Is why we stayed there.

This is one of the very few properties that I have save the information for future use! From entering the front door to check out I have nothing to say but nice things. Rups was very informative and genuine. The room was already cooled down and not humid, all of the linens were clean and the room was spotless! Water was hot and the shower head has lots of settings. Body wash, face wash, shampoo AND conditioner are supplied. I did have a bit of an issue with the TV but I’m pretty sure it was just smarter than me, lol. Landscaping is a bit scarce but the area is in a severe drought so please do not let that deter you. I will definitely stay here again

The outside of the property looks good. The desk clerk was friendly. Entering the 3rd floor it was hot, stuffy and smelled musty. Our room smelled the same way. There were stains on the bedspread and one pillowcase. The room looked a bit worn with some deferred maintenance issues. We did not say anything to desk clerk because we were tired and just wanted to sleep. We did sleep well. With that said, I’d not stay here again unless the price was much lower (we paid $150). The place was a bit too worn out for my comfort level and price too high.

It’s very convenient freeway, but too much noises.

We stayed at this property for one night while passing through. The hotel was fine for that purpose, and I recommend it for travelers who are needing a bed for one night. Breakfast was good and AC was cold.

Staff was amazing, but the hotel has much room for improvement. Older, damp smelling lobby and rooms. More like an overpriced budget motel. Breakfast appeared decent, but I did not partake.

Staff was very friendly, and they actually make up your room when staying multiple nights, unlike a lot of other hotels since COVID. It was close to where we were visiting family in Converse, TX.

The staff was very accommodating. We asked for a couple of things, and they supplied what we needed~~immediately. Always cordial.

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve stayed. Our first room was truly disgusting and the second room while better was still not as clean as it should be. The customer service was horrendous as well. I can see why this hotel is in the condition it is with the current management. She did not care about our poor experience and only did anything because she felt she had to do so. She was disrespectful and just made excuses for the terrible rooms or bad customer service.

Not the cleanest

However, Google did not take us directly to the property even though we entered the exact address, AND we had to do a 6 mile interstate loop to get back to the property. Probably just a glitch from Google that can be remedied. The breakfast at the property was well done with very attentive and kind staff helping at every turn. Room was full at the time we went, but everyone seemed to be getting what they needed, and fresh food was coming out regularly. This is one of those times when it appeared that people really care about how they do their job, and how it makes others feel. Great experience.

It took a while for front counter clerk to come up front when we arrived in the evening. While the lobby and halls are updated, the linens and wall plates are outdated. The pillows were horrible and my wife and I both had headaches and sore necks from them. The breakfast was actually very good.

They are always so accommodating! I was offered and accepted a full Thanksgiving Day plate of food from the front desk lady. I was so thankful. They really take care of their guests.

I left behind an important item upon checkout. I received a personal call to notify me of the list item. I was able to swing by and retrieve the item at the front desk. I appreciated the extra personal attention! thank you!

The breakfast was fresh and hot with a wide variety of choices. Great employees, we had a problem with the ac and called the front desk and within minutes they came and fixed it. We decided to stay an extra day and called the front desk and had no problem getting that done. Plenty of parking. Very good place to stay

I have never had such a terrible hotel experience. I am a 27 year old female, I checked into the hotel alone. At approximately 1 AM I heard a room key card UNLOCK my door. There was no knock or any announcement. I ask who is it? And they just immediately shut the door , stated “I’m sorry” and left. I had to call to the front desk myself and advise them of the incident, It was brushed off as just an error stating it was management. I asked why “management” didn’t explain the situation themselves instead of retreating. Staff advised they did not wish to disturb the other guest and planned on calling me in the morning to explain the incident. I was terrified and unable to sleep the rest of the night. I do not believe that hotel management would run away when confronted with the situation. I am not the type of person to usually leave a bad review but this was an extremely dangerous situation for everyone involved and was handled so poorly on their behalf. I will NEVER be staying at any Best Western again.
