Overall a great and clean room but the light over the mirror in the bathroom didn't work, only a dim lightbulb in the ceiling worked and i could have used a coffee maker in the room since there was no decaf after breakfast was over.

We love everything about this hotel. This is my go-to-hotel every time we’re in town. Location is great, price is great, and the hotel itself (staff, facility, amenities, etc) is all great! We never have any complaints here. As long as my husband has his water pressure he’s good, and he did! lol.

Parking was very limited. Room smelled REALLY BADLY like smoke. When I mentioned it to the front desk, the attitude of the clerk was “okay. Thanks for letting us know.” A new room was not offered (maybe there weren’t any - parking was FULL). I brought the smell of musty, cigarette home with me. Will not be coming back.

Property has a vending pantry where you pick out what you’d like to purchase and then pay at the desk. We bought a $2 candy bar, presented a $5 bill for payment and received only $2 change rather than the $3 we should have gotten. Lady at the desk basically was unconcerned that she had no change to give us! Please provide ample change for your employees! Killed 5 bugs in the bathroom and outside grounds needed to be cleaned up. Cigarette butts and trash all over.

Bugs and the cafeteria was too hot

Everything was perfect even down to the morning. Breakfast room was very clean. Staff was informative and very sweet. The only thing I didn’t like about the property is the parking in the back did not have good lighting

We killed like four small roaches in our room, which was disgusting because they were on top of the restroom counter with our personal belongings. This is the reason why we didn't eat breakfast at that hotel. The AC started off nice and cold, then in the middle of the night it was hot, it didn't cool anymore. The front desk female clerk in the evening seemed like she was having a rough day, did not smile, greet me, or give me eye contact. Just told me to read some disclosures and sign. I don't think I would be staying here.

Breakfast was good, but they were always out of food before it could be restocked. The guy needed help for sure!! AC in room was difficult to regulate. We froze mostly, which is better than being too hot. Lol. The bed was comfortable, but needed a heavier blanket on it. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, even if my hubby was disappointed.

my credit card was charged even though i had selected the option to pay at the hotel.

The first room in the second floor that was assigned to us was infested with roaches! We got moved to the first floor and it was better. Staff were helpful. Also they were homeless outside in front of the parking. It ruined our vacation stay!

Room was very dirty. Sheets on the bed were dirty. Couch in the room was very dirty and stained. The restroom was the worse it smelled so bad and was just dirty.

We had a small issue. We stayed 2 days. Unfortunately we were in the 2nd floor and on the 3rd floor someone was running and jumping for hours. I couldn't sleep at all. So on the second night I had to call the main office at 3am so they could call and let them know that they were making way too mucho noise. I would suggest that people that have kids always put them in the 1st floor. It was really annoying not being able to rest after long days of activities with my family.

Over and over broken to UP maximum expectation amazing, starting with the check in, getting in the lobby, walk in the room clean with environment “NOT smoking”. Was a Very Very satisfactory experience plus every morning getting a super satisfying in a breakfast Buffet with everything to start any day with a amazing coffee machine with about 6 differents way to drink a hot wake-up senses with other machine choice to juice.

Everyone on staff was extremely helpful and nice! Check in was quick. Room was spacious. Pool was refreshing. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel was clean in all areas we went. We will definitely stay here again!

What I wish I knew from reviews before our stay. Fair warning, hotel has an underlying old smell. Our first room (#212) had strong smell of mold. We tried to accept it but after 5 minutes couldn’t do it. Reported it, they didn’t push back and changed us to room #110. AC struggled to cool and around 10p started smelling marijuana, my son fell asleep, tried ignoring it until 11p or so when the smell had literally engulfed our room. I was concerned hotel may think it was coming from our room, had to report it. Got dressed reported to front desk and brought attendant into our room, we clearly could see it was coming from bathroom vents. Went to sleep in warm smelly room, woke up sweating in a warm smelly room. Requested diff room, moved us to #224, which we just had to make the best of. Still didn’t get as cool as we wanted but was acceptable and better than mold and marijuana room! The most unsettling part was the “notice to guest” which the hotel owner required as mandatory to initials to get checked in and get room key. See photos of what this hotel makes guest sign off on. Frankly inappropriate and unacceptable. The staff were nice enough but we will not ever be staying here again!

The room window curtains desperately need replacing. The top sheet on the bed was "interesting"...I didn't investigate but looks like the mattress and top sheet need a solid look by management.

Kids loved the pool. Coffee machine was perfect!

Terrible pictures are deceiving. Multiple rooms with mold constant buzzing sound from electrical outlet that staff refused to address. Food in pull out couch, breakfast no show of cook on a Friday. Quiet and safe was only plus 1 star!

Only issue is the WATER FILTER on the fountain was blinking RED and dispersing DIRTY WATER in the hall area leading to the dining room. Outside of that in all HONESTY I will be staying there again in a few weeks. It felt like an Apartment vs a Hotel room. Thank You to the STAFF from Check in to Check out. Sidebar: I never paid a “EARLY CHECK IN” fee before this trip as i’ve always been pretty high tiered with HOTELS.com . I paid it this time, but, would ask this be disclosed earlier next time. Thanks.

Quick and easy!

Rooms were clean and pool seem well maintained although we were unable to find the controls for the hot tub. Breakfast was good and filling.

My truck was broken in . I was parked in the first handicap parking to the door of the hotel . There’s security and cameras . So how could this have happened?

We had an okay stay at Best Western Plus Hill Country Suites. The staff was friendly and the price was very reasonable, which we appreciated. However, our experience had a few downsides. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 p.m., but when we arrived close to 5 p.m., our room still wasn’t ready. The room was listed as non-smoking, yet it smelled strongly of smoke mixed with cleaning chemicals and dampness. Also, the light over the bathroom mirror did not work. Overall, it was an average stay — decent for the price, but there is definitely room for improvement.

The TV was not working, this is the second time that this has happened, we come every month if not every 3 weeks and last month when we were here the same thing their cable was not working, and then this time we were showering and their water pressure went out, it was about 10 minutes before the pressure came back on, I don't think we will be staying here anymore

I tried to call the front desk several times to inform them that I was going to do a late check-in. The staff members at the front desk would pick up, tell me to hold, and then leave me on hold for an extended period of time. On the last call attempt that I made they said to hold on and I could hear everything going on in the background and the two coworkers were visiting and talking to each other and not picking up the phone. Finally, I called back and was able to speak with someone. The waffle makers were not on and I was told they are only turned on on certain days, which I wish I would’ve known about before scheduling the hotel because having breakfast in the morning is very important to my husband. They had also run out of yogurt. The room itself was nice and roomy.

Room was not as clean as it could be and TV channel selections were horrible; no instructions and staff couldn't answer questions about it. About the only thing that was great was the breakfast; one of the best I've had in a hotel and cooks were fantastically good and nice!!!

They'll force the ridiculous deposit charge on you even if Expedia doesn't make that clear. Of course they could charge more for the rooms and get their money for damages there but no, they pretend like the deposit charge will cover damages. It's a clever trick to increase their cash flow and these foreign hotel owners love it.

Stay was great

Room was not clean it was 4:00-45 or pass that time. We were tired and out appointments had to be rescheduled due to room not being ready. Staff was not welcoming or courteous even after the tremendous problem.

My room was not clean!! And I just noticed in the morning! I was so tired when I arrived that I went straight to bed… next morning I noticed that was trash all over the place and some used towels… Thats horrible!

A little outdated and in need of a bit of TLC, but great for a one night say with the price.,

I was very disappointed as a platinum member. I paid for my room in advance because there was only a few available king size beds. When I arrived the receptionist gave me my key to a room that I did not pay for. I went back downstairs and now I need my room with a king bed that I paid for in advance. She told me since you only have one night I gave your room away to someone else they wanted the king size bed for a few nights. I told her why would you do that when I already prepaid in advance so you can’t just give my room away. She said there was nothing they can do. There should be a policy if the room is paid for in ADVANCE that room should be locked in for that customer. If the customer doesn’t pay in advance and arrives late there’s a possibility his room could be given away to someone else. But in this case I paid in advance. I will definitely be emailing the management.

Facilities showed some age, may be due for a remodel but otherwise comfortable and clean.

Roaches in the bathroom, dirty furniture, musty smell. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and they were not helpful. I left 3 hours after checking in and drove home.

There was no tv controls in the room, and when we asked for them they said the cable was not working, the night stand were not clean it had cup marks, honestly the room was not clean it looked like they just did the beds and stocked towels

Breakfast was disappointing. The eggs were cold and not fresh. The coffee machine was not working properly. Overall, I did not enjoy the breakfast experience. The front desk staff was also not very professional.

Inside and outside kept maintained and clean. Breakfast fresh. Only complaint is waffles only available on weekends.

The common areas were nice and the breakfast was good. The rooms were adequate with comfortable beds. The carpet in the rooms was a little gross, and there were stains on the sofa. While it was adequate for a one night stay, the photos made it seem much nicer than it actually was.

We liked the breakfast and the remodeled rooms. Great experience for a family or four.

Mattress was horrible it hurt my back. Also twice someone try to open door. Didn’t feel safe so I ck out same day.

Heater and refrigerator were extremely loud. Our stay was during the icey storm weekend days in San Antonio and RN my wife had to work at the hospital next morning so we got a room here instead of driving w/ ice on the road. We noticed around midnight that both heater and fridge were loud. They hindered our rest which was the whole point of us buying a night here. Management never got back to me on this either. Customer service isn’t there.
