Best Western near Lackland AFB/SeaWorld

The place looked remodeled and clean butttttt, our biggest concern was the 1' wide roach (pretty big) that we saw and killed Sunday morning in the bathroom. Ugh!

Location was great. Breakfast menu didn't have a big selection. Breakfast didn't have a big selection. My family and I were gone all day and our room wasn't cleaned with we returned. Sheets were dirty.

There was red flying ants all over the ceiling that were falling onto the bed. I called to change rooms and host told me they couldn’t do anything for me as it was late at night I worked till midnight had to be up back at work at 7 so I didn’t sleep. Very unprofessional. I will let everyone know not to stay at this location. Water was also cold. Hair in the tub Trash on the floor. Gross

The check-in staff was very nice. She got us checked in and settled within a couple of minutes. They never came to empty the trash, get dirty towels, bring clean towels, nothing.

I always stay at this location because of its location of the shopping malls. The rooms r good hard to get someone to come clean ur room. My grandkids love the waffle machine . Need a pancake machine n fresh fruit for breakfast. The ice room n laundry room is a inferno the hotel need to offer one free wash if u stay over 2 days. The entre staff needs social skills class with other races other than themselves im just saying not friendly at all.

The door did not close very well even after it was locked. The blinds were broken and dirty. It was an okay stay, but the AC was not cooling properly.

The location was good. Everything was a horrible experience. The pool was green, the staff was rude, the housekeeper stole some stuff it was just a terrible experience overall.

My first impression of the place (outward appearance) was rather lukewarm, but when I got into the room, it was pretty decent. The receptionist was welcoming; the room was clean and spacious. I had booked a one-bedroom non-smoking suite, and it had a mini fridge, a microwave and two queen beds in the second bedroom. The breakfast was not bad (but could do better. I'd give the breakfast 5 out of 10). The location is also great and easily accessible to other social amenities. The breakfast could do with more variety. The gym also needs an upgrade as it has very few machinery and weights. Please provide more toiletries like shower gels (who uses bar soap in 2026?). Some air freshener in the rooms would greatly help remove some of the lingering odors in the rooms.

House keepers were amazing. Front desk doesn't have great customer service theyre rude. Pool was disgusting, crackheads and homeless all around the area. A bunch of strange activities going on. People complain about noise they need to worry about the activities.

The Best Western is conveniently located right off Loop-410, not far from Ingram Park Mall and close to Lackland (about a 15-minute drive). There are actually several Best Western's "near" Lackland AFB, so make sure you're looking at the right one (this one is a two-story hotel). I'd say the facility itself is rather dated, but the management has kept the place very clean. It may be old, but it doesn't "feel" old, as everything in the room is very clean and well-maintained. My original impression changed the longer I stayed, and if my experience is "the norm" (and I don't know if it is or not), I would not recommend this for a one-night stay, but the longer I stayed, the more I liked the place. It seems both the A/C and Fridge were "off" when I got to the room, as I had a hot room and warm fridge, but by morning both the room and fridge were to my liking and comfortable. So, not sure if it was a bad-luck room or management policy to save money on rooms not occupied. Had I stayed just one night I would have been upset, but as I was there for several nights, the room was very nice after the first night. The biggest thing... very clean room, I can say that. I'd come again for a long stay, but not for one night.

Breakfast was poor, we are not fans of stale muffins and gravy. Breakfast cereals were all crumbs or empty. Around the juice counter the floor was overly sticky.

The sheets and blankets were clean and the ac was so very cold. No elevator to get to second floor. All of the 2 double beds are upstairs. I had to be switched to a king suite on bottom floor. No sheets or blankets in room for the pull out couch.

The air conditioner did not want to work right had to go buy a fan to put in front of it because it would not cool my room down then I seen cockroaches and I hope I did not bring any back to My Home in my luggage or my car you need to contact Terminix pest control out there and get all rooms sprayed and keep on top of it to get rid of them, then you need to contact heating an air that is best to come out and check your air conditioners. Do not rely on your stuff to check these things. The manager needs to be doing all this.

Everything was close to the hotel the malls they eating area no problem going in and out really appreciate it. I will plan to visit again in the future.

Baño limpio, se agradece. Para estancia de paso familiar está bien, para más días no, pues no hacen limpieza aunque dejes las toallas en el piso, solo tienden camas, no cambian blancos. Sí volvería, solo por 1 o 2 noches.

Room was hot, I asked for a fan and they were not so accommodating instead they went into my room without notifying me and told me that it was fine. SMH

To many kids allowed in one room!!! There people coming out of rooms with at least 10 people. Taking to go plates to the room and taking what food was left for people waiting. No yogurt, no milk, no napkins just ran out of everything!!! Gave just one shampoo and one conditioner for three adults in the room.

The wifi was horrible, showers were broken and rooms smelt bad. staff didn’t help other than by switching rooms and it was still the same. I will never be staying here again

Needs upkeep, not just covering up. Towels are old and threadbare. Staff wasn't really seen, except at breakfast were they surrounded the diners, and demanded cup lids be used, and slow on restocking cups and food. I saw a few cockroaches and that wasn't good, it will be a problem if any came home with me. All in all, I guess you get what you pay for.

There was a huge roach in one of the rooms. Everything is outdated, broken chairs by the pool with metal sticking out. Only 1 very small washer and dryer, even smaller “gym”. Staff was ok, not super friendly but not not friendly. 2/5; wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel and staff were very nice, although the breakfast was not that great. Food was scarce the time i got down to the breakfast bar. Other than that it was a great stay.

This location is very clean the beds were very clean no stains on bed covers , no smells, getting on to the property was tricky just because it was on the main road and traffic is crazy. But every thing else was excellent 👌. The pool eas very clean as well.

Killed two roaches and asked for a new room and was told nothing was available. No reimbursement or comp night . Terrible

Wherever I'm in San Antonio I enjoy staying at this location. There are lots of things to do in the area and it has great freeway access. The staff is always very kind the rooms are clean. I always sleep good and feel very safe. This is definitely my go to location.

The staff was helpful, and the room was clean. The breakfast was as described, they offer hot eggs, bacon and waffles, among other items.

The hotel was clean but it’s on a noisy street and not a good area. The outside of the hotel doesn’t look like much but once inside the quad area it’s much nicer. The staff was nice and helpful. The air conditioner is also noisy. I’m used to having complimentary toiletries and this hotel has the bare minimum. They only give you the tiniest shampoo and conditioner, mind you, there were 3 of us who checked into the hotel so the product was only enough for one person. They don’t offer a shower cap nor lotion as other hotels do. There is no ventilation system in their bathroom and I believe that’s important. The swimming pool is nice and so is the reception area. The breakfast is decent. I went for my son’s BTI Air Force graduation.

Breakfast was below average ran out of food, gravy was cold long line for self service waffles because there wasn’t anything else. Went down 3 times during my 3 week stay every time was the same ! One star for breakfast

The place was clean and maintained. They do have some sketchy characters that apparently live there and kinda make you feel uncomfortable. The doors don’t lock from inside either

Our rooms air conditioner wasn’t working very well. Trying to get ahold of someone was difficult. Other than that it was good. Had to attend a funeral and hotel was in the area. Having to go back and forth to church, family home, and back again, hotel was convenient and close. Great hot breakfast every morning. Pool looked great. Cute set up oasis.

This hotel is very old and it shows. Everything really needs to be upgraded.

Good place staff was a bit lack luster we needed a replacement key and no staff were to be found for a good 10 minutes. We were calling the office while in the front office but no luck. Eventually we got it but that was a bit of a nuisance. Breakfast was a good set up but limited they kept having to restock because they were putting limited stuff out. Apart from that the place is nice.

There entire experience was great

The room smell like cigarrettes and we we're 4 People and the staff only gave us 3 towels saying that they can only give 3, we had to leave next day.

Hotel was a little ghetto. Heard people fighting at night, near the stairs. Hotel floor had blonde hair, you can tell it wasn't vacuumed when we arrived. Front desk staff seemed unhappy and was not helpful. Breakfast was good. Options included biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, and bread/muffins. Overall it's okay for the money but would not return.

The property has rodents there's an awful stitch in the room.

I booked it for the name best western but it was no way good. The room floors were very dusty. The price for this kind of room was way too much ! We can say that the price is almost that of a 3 star hotel for a 1 star experience !

Although there weren’t too many options at breakfast, it was very basic but okay. What’s more important to us is the cleanliness of the room. When we arrived I thought, oh no maybe not a good decision to book here, but we were definitely wrong. The outside is kind of dated but the inside was very, very clean, and for that reason alone, we booked our next stay here again.

Only 2 things to choose from plus the juices and coffee and waffles parking is good plenty of lighting in the parking lot. Staff was absent. Didn’t use the pool but seem like a really nice pool.

Room clean, bed comfortable, shower great pressure and big bathtub. Staff friendly and efficient. Close to highway but didn’t hear traffic. Pool area great. Breakfast basic but enough if not big breakfast eater. Lobby area good. Safe and easy access to multiple restaurants and shops. Would stay again when in the area.
