1st first room given, the AC would not cool down to the thermostat temp. Moved to 2nd room, same thing. Moved to a 3rd room and it was perfect. Took a shower in the evening & no hot water in shower but was at the sink. Same thing the next morning.

There was a fire

When we arrived we noticed no vehicles in the parking lot. There was a note on the front door stating the hotel had a fire back on May 2nd. Noone from Expedia nor the hotel contacted us to notify us the hotel was closed. I will be filing a challenge with my credit card company for a full refund. I was forced to scramble for a place to stay. Expedia you are horrible. Never again. You will hear from me again.

It was closed down because of a fire the week prior. I was never notified.

The staff was very nice at this hotel. We stayed in room 301. The wall with the big window had an exposed outlet where the ac unit was plugged in. The big window had a massive crack that pretty much formed an X on the entire window. You could tell they tried to fix it with resin. The windows were single pane, you could hear the traffic and construction from outside and the beds were not comfortable. The breakfast was only bread meaning waffles, briskets and gravy, toast, and cereal. They were missing the protein like sausage or eggs. This is not me complain. This my true honest review. I can honestly say we will not be stay any any comfort suits ever again.

This place is nasty and falling apart. The bed has bed bugs. I had to leave early because the bed bags were bad.

From the outside the property looked promising but the inside is in need of an upgrade. Checking in was okay but when I entered the room is when i got concern. Room was very dark so i tried to turn on the lamps but two of them were missing bulbs. But the worst part was when I uncovered the comforter to lay in bed and notice the sheet was filled with make up all over and liquid stains. I quickly called the front desk to get new sheets and she requested me to go to the front desk to get them. I decided to remove the sheet from the bed to show her but I think that was a mistake. The mattress underneath the sheet was so disgusting made me and my wife very nauseous. I requested to get my money back and luckily they were able to. I then left the property to fine somewhere else to sleep at 3am.

Location Breakfast was horrible served waffles and no syrup. Eggs and toast. Basically like scraps. The pillows were actually sheets stuffed into pillowcases. The pullout bed looked like it was from outside.

I like that the staff acknowledged their mistakes and took accountability. I like that we were able to park near the building. I don’t like that whenever we arrived that evening we were able to enter the building through side entrance without a key because the door was broken. Once we arrived and went upstairs to our room the key did not work and the room door was also broken. I went downstairs and was told I had the wrong key for the wrong room and was given a new room number and key. When I went back upstairs and used the new key I opened the door and there was already another person in that room that I woke up. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe at this location at this point but it was late at night so I had nowhere else to go. I went back down to the reception desk to inform the staff of what happened. She apologized and gave me another key to a new room. Once we finally got into a room the room was very dirty. The toilet had poop marks still in the toilet bowl, the bed had someone else’s hair all over pillow cases and sheets, and the towels smelled used. I would not recommend my family members to this location and highly believe someone should step in and take a look at management and how this place is being handled.

Horrible, disgusting hotel. Establishment has gone downhill over the years. Got stuck in elevator twice, was given an occupied room upon arrival, halls were dingy and smelled like smoke.

Staff was great, accommodating and friendly. Property is located very Inconvenient highway access and traveling directions. Had to be moved twice, once due to non stop barking dog in a room, second due to music and party. Old property, leaking water from ac unit. Noisy train and traffic, walls thin, windows single pane. Just awful.

Room was not clean smelled carpet was wet. Walls had stains on them. Over all bad experience. Would not recommend this hotel

This is the worst CS I have stayed at ever. Crumbling walls, very musty smell, rusting tub... Also had to kill a roach!!!

Renters smoking Marijuana on the floor. Whole hallway filled with smell. One of our beds had no blanket. Third they never cleaned our room! Told receptionist at desk of these issues, but she didnt seem concerned.

I checked in late that night, the room was very "used" looking and the shower wasn't very clean. Definitely needs a remodel. The remote was missing cover over batteries, and would not work right. The phone was missing most of the buttons, no way to tell how to call the front desk. The beds were, in my opinion, hard, as were the pillows. To make matters worse, I was woke up by the front desk calling at 8 am (like I said, I got in very late) because they thought I hadn't paid yet, and I did thru hotels.com . I told them this and said I could bring proof when I checked out but I was trying to sleep. They called AGAIN asking for confirmation number. I gave them what they wanted and left shortly thereafter because there was no falling back asleep after 2 phone calls so early in the morning. I cannot believe it couldn't wait any longer and I needed to be woke up!! Of course, they finally figured out I did, indeed, pay. But quite frankly, my stay was awful and I won't be back.

Would not recommend to stay here. We had a double wuite with a pull out. We didnt have enough towels or wash cloths, didnt even have blankets on the beds just sheets. Pulled the couch out only to find a mattress that looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster. Asked for blankets and were told they didnt have any due to the hotel being fully booked, no extra towels and no extra wash cloths. Also ac leaked water and the floor in front of it almost to the beds was soaked. Toilet was not sealed to floor either,one wrong move and over you could go. Pool was ok a bit dirty/ merky but once you came out of the door you had to walk back to the front lobby to go back in. At one point my husband was in the elevator with another couple and the door didnt fully close either. Breakfast was subpar as well. Biscuits over cooked as well as sausage, eggs were super watery. Basically if we ate it was just the cereal that was edible.

Had my do not disturb sign on the door check out wasn't till 11 and the house cleaning lady knocked at 945 am i was getting out of the shower and she comes in anyway so rude showing me some paper that i have no clue what it with room numbers on it... if check out isn't till 11 and the do not disturb is on the door walk away dam

It looks like this property might have been recently bought and they haven't had time yet to refurbish, clean, or hire enough staff.

Found 3 cockroaches in one room, 1 smelt like feet, the other like mold, the last room the AC didn’t work.

First room toilet wouldn’t flush and no remote. Second room still no remote and house phone didn’t work. Second night fine just a tired and old hotel… I won’t be back and not sure about the chain…

When we got to the room it had a strong cat litter smell very dirty room won’t come back again

First elevator was out. Room wasnt clean. Found nasty food in fridge and in the drawers. Comforters wore shredded up. Housekeeping didn't come until 6pm. Dog few doors down barking all night. Didn't leaving bedding for pull out bed. Beds extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was really good and front desk was very nice. Lots of construction going on.

Mold in the bathrooms, water rot in the walls, tub wouldn't drain - very slow. electrical outlet hanging out the wall. double sofa bed had no linen and was open with the cushions thrown over the room. Went for the free breakfast at 8am and there was no food!

This place was so filthy, curtains had holes, towels had yellow stains, bed sheets also had yellow stains overall everything was nasty

Beware the 3 am fire alarm. Woke me up every night I stayed. Facility is definitely outdated and in pretty rough shape. The pillows on my bed were possibly the smallest pillows i have ever seen. Front desk was ok. Best part of my stay was the mediocre breakfast.

The elevator was scketchy and the breakfast was not there or missing essentials like plates.when I asked they said yeah just use a bowl.

The 1st room we checked into had a malfunctioning shower. Thankfully, we were promptly given a different room with a working shower. In general, the rooms need more upkeep. The 1st room’s deadbolt didn’t engage, the 2nd room’s deadbolt was missing the knob. The TV in our room had very limited channels and didn’t have the same channels as other rooms. Towels were taken but the same # taken weren’t replaced so we had to ask for more towels 2 of 3 days we were there, with none available 1 of the days. The breakfast was minimal as well.

We left at 11 pm and drove home due to the filth of the room. No room available in the hotel to change to, and all hotels in the area were literally booked up.

So much construction around the area. Hard to see at night. Close to Rockwall and I-30 so that is a plus

Staff was friendly. Found stains on the bed sheets. We requested new sheets and exchanged them ourselves. Our room was on the first floor and heard noise from the public restrooms next door

I checked in later in the evening, the front desk area was clean and inviting. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will be staying here again in the future as I travel for work and travel through that area often.

I did not realize that the beds were that small, like standard instead of queen.

The staff was very nice and breakfast was good. I didn't like that the rooms were always moist from humidity produced by the a/c, the bathroom doors wouldn't close all the way and only had cool to Luke warm water for shower. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

Room was good, service was excellent, staff was outstanding on all shifts. Plan on stopping there again on my way back. Too bad the construction in the area made it a little bit difficult to get around

Not very clean and beds were terrible

The bed did not have a blanket on it. The spare blanket in the closet smelled as though something had died in the closet. Took 2 full days to get another blanket, and it wasn't a real blanket, just a twin bed spread. Staff was friendly, but not terribly helpful.

It was nasty and gross. Lots of bugs, stains, uncleanliness. There were things falling apart, water dripping from the ceiling into a bucket in the breakfast room, the halls were filthy, & there was always garbage. The rooms were terrible, the first room we went into wasn’t cleaned at all. The second had a cracked window, the ceiling had water damage and two holes, the pint was leaking off, & the chair had something nasty down the back. There was stains on all the bedding, there was hair, there was an old milk carton under the bed and wrappers left everywhere. The hotels holds a lot of prostitution, pimps and drug dealers. Every night there were people smoking weed or shooting up. Not a safe place to bring kids AT ALL. Front desk people were always high or not doing anything at all. They can’t really help you or make the situation better. The housekeepers don’t clean well and while I give them props for trying it’s not much. All in all it was horrible and disgusting.

The bathroom was poorly maintained. The remote needed new batteries -couldn't change the channels (but the lady at the desk said that wasn't it). The lady at the front desk at check in was pleasant.

Second time I stay there and elevator not working. It's rundown and dirty. The hallway and room A/C were not working... overall bad

The AC barely worked, switched rooms, and same thing, only with the addition of a loud ringing for the whole stay. Room service never bothered to come once. The room was generally dirty and in poor repair. If you’re looking for a nice view of the lake and don’t care if there are customers drinking 40’s with a fifth of tequila right out on the drive way, then this might be your place. I’m not even sure what I paid for honestly, I think it was the experience.

very noisy, right next to a busy intersection. Lack of employees kept the guests waiting longer than needed. The room that I pre-paid for was not available. The grounds were very unkept and dirty in my opinion. The phones were broken you couldn't call the front desk. The pool was not usable the water was filthy and I probably won't stay there again

Had a musty smell. Room was hot and didn’t cool down until early next morning. No ice. Ran out of water for hot chocolate/coffee by 830 am.

They messed up my reservation had to call Expedia to get a refund. Front desk was horrible.

This place was absolutely nasty. No towels. Was assigned a room that already had a guest checked into it. The curtains were water stained. The sofa sleeper had no sheets available and it wouldn’t fold back in after use. I would never stay here again. It was just NASTY GROSS

The restroom was not clean and no towels in the restroom. There were hairs in the bath tub. Unacceptable!!!!

Well first they’re saying my card was declined. Room was paid for a month ago and I had proof of the payment. The effin crackhead In the lobby almost caused my husband to kick his ass because he became impatient while the clerk helped us. We get to the room and the dirty towels from the previous stay were still in the room. Room was dusty as ever, shower curtain reeked of urine. After Lysol was sprayed over everything and was given clean towels and shower curtain I could relax a bit. I’d give them another chance due to the location of the hotel.

I rate rooms on two main criteria. Is the bed comfortable and is the shower good. For this place yes and yes. Room had a smoked in smell. Room was clean but common areas were not. Breakfast supplies were not restocked so late diners got little or no choice. Front desk staff were as good as they could have been. Reasonably priced stay.

The bedding was stained and filthy. The mattress had stains. The additional bedding in the closet was also stained. We were disgusted with the conditions and left without stopping by the front desk. We ended up staying at a different hotel all together.

Worst hotel ever. I checked In to room 220 walked into SOMEONE ELSE being there.. went down stairs they looked at me like i was Stupid. Then gave me another room with dirty sheets literally a C!M stain on the sheets. Third room had no sheets at all when i rold the property manager she told me “i can chrck You out if you want” she didn’t seem to care one bit.

The staff was great but riding on that elevator is a risk of your life!! The property needs a lot of maintenance.

I came by 5pm, they told me I have to wait because There is no ready and clean room , I stayed two nights, and no one came to clean my room next day

The room was somewhat clean but somewhat dirty as well. In whole 5/10 for cleanliness.

Room was outdated and my shower had a seat and a handheld shower head which was slightly annoying. There was also leftover soap remnants in the shower from the previous guest.

We walked into our room and it Smelled. We thought it was because the ac was off but nope. Then when we took a shower the water smelled like sewer water. Won’t stay here again.

This property needs to be torn down. There was damaged and broken furniture. The first room had trash all over the floor, the sheets were dirty. I asked to be moved to another room. The tub had a dirty ring around it and the sink had hair all in it. The room smelled like smoke/cigarettes. The window sounded like it was open and we woke up to a wasp flying around in the room. I dont recommend this place to anyone.

A bit noisy from all the road traffic however we enjoyed our stay especially the young man who greeted us in the early early morning check out, even though the morning buffet wasn’t open because we left at 5am he offered fresh hot coffee and breakfast to go. He started our trip to California off with smiles and thanks

This place was the best place we could have stayed. The staff is amazing! Extra clean rooms! Very safe! Thank you for allowing us to stay with you!

Mangement was great

Things were in a state of disorder. Plastic covered about 1/2 of the exterior windows. Half the lightbulbs in our lamps were burnt out. The remote for the tv would only turn on and off. It wouldn’t change channels or volume. The bolt that held the tank to the base of the toilet broke so we had to turn the water on and off each time we used the bathroom. They couldn’t move us because there were no more rooms available. We also didn’t have comforters on our beds. I told the front desk I thought our beds were missing comforters or bedspreads because we only had a sheet and a thin fuzzy blanket. They did give comforters and a tv remote. We received a small discount after asking for one.

Room was very dirty. One of the beds did not have a comforter. There was food on the floor that had not been vacuumed and the smell in the room was repugnant. There were spiderwebs in the corners of the ceilings occupied by live spiders with other dead bugs stuck in the webs. We will not book at this hotel ever again. The hotel needs some serious attention and good management.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We booked this hotel because it had a pull-out sofa bed. After we unpacked we realized the mattress was absolutely disgusting, as was the bathroom and just some of the overall cleanliness such as cobwebs in the corners of the room. The man working the front desk only offered to switch us to another room. That one wasn’t much better, so we opted to swap around the sofa mattresses and make do. He committed that the manager would be able to help us in the morning. The manager, Stephanie, at first said we couldn’t get a discount bc of booking through a 3rd party. Then she said we could get a 20% discount. When I said I thought a 50% discount would be fair, she got nasty and said the owner opulent have refunded us a dime, then said we should have gotten a refund and went elsewhere when that wasn’t offered and even she said she wouldn’t refund us over 20%, so her story kept changing. She answered the phone and I went to take a picture of the plaque showing who owned the hotel so I could contact them later and leave, and Stephanie started taunting me. Terrible customer service and disgusting accommodations. I’ll never stay at another Comfort Suites again.

Very good location, value and clean.

For the $$ rate I expected better. Pulled up in parking lot and there was a parking lot party going on. Large crowd, loud music and beer cans everywhere. It was 10pm when we arrived. Floors are rippled and tripped several times walking down the hall. No batteries in remote, went down stairs to get some since they sent them to the wrong room after calling to front desk. Then couldn’t get the TV/Cable to work at all. There were no sheets/blanket for pullout couch, it was disgusting anyway so we didn’t use it. Also nothing more than a sheet and very thin blanket as linens for the regular bed. Furniture was old and had rips/stains. There was one full-size towel. Breakfast was meh. Waffle maker was the one thing that was a positive. Front desk staff was outside smoking right outside the doors upon our arrival and exit the next morning. We will not be staying here again, and probably won’t visit any comfort suites in the future.

Very dirty.

The entire hotel was dirty. We were given a total of three different rooms before we found one that had been cleaned on the housekeeper. There was dog feces in the hallway. During a 3:00 a.m. shower I ran out of hot water halfway through. I've stayed at this motel multiple times in the past. I will never make the mistake of staying there again!

Definitely not worth what I paid for. They need to fix this hotel. Bathroom in the room was disgusting. Stains on the carpet. On the photos the hotel looks decent but when you’re there in person it’s nasty. When we got to the hotel our room wasn’t even ready. We had to wait 45 minutes which made us late for our event.

The hotel is old. There was a bug in my room which they took care of, but there was rust stains in the tub. The staff was nice.

Next to the lake, also easy access to I-30.
