The Ruby Hotel

I enjoyed the spacious well maintained grounds. The pool area was a nice shady place to hang out although a bit small for serious swimmers. Rooms nice and clean with a comfortable bed. Only complaint here was with low shower water pressure but this is probably due to drought restrictions on shower heads. Overall positive experience and would stay here again

Meh. I don’t understand how this property is a 4-star property. My biggest issue was the AC not working properly. The unit was set to 63 but I had to call the office for assistance because it was warm in the room. Staff arrived with a temperature reader in hand - it read 70 degrees. His recommendation was to use a fan, which they provided. This isn’t something that I have ever experienced at a 4-star hotel!

did not use the pool or the restaurant so amenities were not a big deal to me. We had a great stay.

This was just a rest stop on a road trip, so we only stayed one night, but we absolutely loved it. The staff were very nice and helpful, and our room was so cute. We really loved the balcony and the view. I will absolutely stay here again!

Second time staying at this property and loved it. The TV doesn’t work so bring a Roku if you can! Bed is super comfy and everything was super clean and nice and HVAC WAS AMAZING. Wish there were more kid friendly options at the restaurant/bar but we made the best of it. 10/10 would recommend!

There is a very nice pool where I sat in the shallow end and read a book, and the hotel bar and restaurant had great food. I didn’t have to leave the property for anything. I’d definitely return.

The only thing I enjoyed about the room was the bed/pillows. Please work on the upkeep of the rooms. I had a 8lb Chihuahua and because of this I was subjected to stay on the bottom floor and couldn't see the creek. The neighbors upstairs stomped around all night and early in the morning! Please be very transparent about the "special" accommodations that are made for people with pets BEFORE the room is booked! What an absolute waste of money and time.

This is my second stay at The Ruby. It’s quiet and out of the way. The grounds are beautifully kept. The staff is great. The rooms are beautifully decorated.

The air conditioning was not working had to get a fan, this was my wedding night! The staff did what they could but end result is our wedding night was not as good as it should have been and spending the room rate charged with little air conditioning was unacceptable

My wife and I have come to the Ruby Hotel for our anniversary and the stay never disappoints. The rooms are cozy and clean and the Ruby bar is wonderful.

We enjoyed our one-night stay. The hotel was quaint, peaceful, and very clean. The property was well maintained and had a relaxing atmosphere. It was a great place to unwind, and we appreciated the quiet surroundings. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and we would be happy to return.

2. Peaceful. Nice garden. Overseeing a spring. Small pool. Each room has a small balcony. Very green environment. 3. Firm beds. Thick curtains. Quite AC. The right ingredients for a good night's sleep. 4. The bar has limited operating hours. But walking distance to downtown Round Rock and 2-3 very good breakfast places. 5. Small gym, but it works for a quick workout. The staff is pleasant. The entire check-in checkout process is online.

Great atmosphere

The Ruby was awesome! It was very unique and quiet! The only thing to note is that there are only stairs, so if you cannot do stairs, that would be a problem. They did carry our bags up for us though! Great, relaxing stay! :)

We were greeted by Kyle at the front desk upon our arrival. He was super friendly and made us feel at home.

We spent two nights at the Ruby Hotel. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and close to downtown Roundrock. The rooms were nice and we had a nice river view with a balcony to sit on. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and they have nice patio off their restaurant/bar area. Very peaceful and they had live music the two nights we were there. Highly recommend.

The room was clean and the area was cute but rooms were a little small; double beds were full-size. However, the bathrooms were large. The staff was lovely, super helpful and accommodating. The ruby bar was super cute, good drinks with live music.

Our stay at the Ruby was even better than we expected! Everything was so clean! Was so nice to have our room cleaned and towels refreshed after just one night. Having the bar and restaurant just steps from our room was so convenient! Juan, the bartender, was a favorite! We will stay again! Thank you!

It was a terrible experience and I checked out within an hour of checking in. I killed 2 bugs flying around my room, found mold and spider webs behind the curtains but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was a fluke thing. Then when I went to shower, I found a tick type bug on the floor and was done. I tried to check out and while the hotel staff was nice, Expedia was ultimately no help in getting me a refund.

We enjoyed our stay at The Ruby. Our room had a pretty view of the creek. We also enjoyed the bar. Friendly bar tenders, live music on Saturday night, and awesome signature drinks.

Fun, quirky, quiet hotel with great atmosphere. Great views from the patio and restaurant patio. What a nice change from the chain hotels. Hotel staff was very friendly. Downtown dining just a few minutes away with a lot of options.

My rating is a three due to certain criteria that I didn’t feel were up to what I expected. However, other things were very good. The best parts were the lovely bar and restaurant. Also the view from the rooms that faced the creek. My room faced the garden and pool and I did not think the view was very special. We had asked for a room with a walk-in shower for my mother. Our request was made right away when we reserved our rooms which we did as soon as we found out that this was going to be the block of rooms reserved for a wedding. They assured us that we would have a room with a walk-in shower. When we got there, we had a room with a large bathtub that my mother was absolutely unable to get into. The staff working at that time were not very accommodating, but in the end did find an appropriate room. So our check-in process really did not go very well. I thought the rooms were very dark in color, but they were clean overall. I had hoped that the pool would be heated, but it was not, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t use the bathing suit that I have packed. The location is excellent being very close to downtown. It was really nice to walk to town to get coffee and even better for the wedding guests who went barhopping after the wedding!

The Restaurant/Bar was very cozy and we enjoyed our evening there. The shower is a complete liability! Flooring made from SLICK backsplash tiles with zero friction. My girlfriend slipped and hurt hip and sprained her foot. Also, there was only a quarter roll of toilet paper when we checked in. Minor issue. But very important.

This trip was all about me. Vaca for one. I chose this spot specifically for seclusion. This was my first trip alone no kids no husband just me so I was looking for quiet. This place was exactly what I wanted. Hidden away and small but still with a lot to offer. My check person was super friendly and also very helpful. My room was very nice. Super comfy bed but I picked it because it had a huge balcony overlooking the river. Beautiful in the evenings at sunset. It also has a restaurant/bar which sadly I never made it to due to being sick partial time but from my balcony they have a huge patio overlooking river as well. Next time for sure. The pool was also a major factor into a place chosen for me. It’s what I was looking for. Never busy. Just a lot of quiet areas for me to be alone and read. It’s located in round rock but I got into Austin quite fast both days I ventured out. I’m glad I found it I do plan on going back. Thank you for an awesome first mom getaway.

Beautiful interior designed spaces, pool was very clean and in a quiet area. Our room view was the best part of the stay. The cleanliness and functionality of the suite were not the best. (Concrete floors, pipes that make loud noises when running water and water pressure was weak.)

Beautiful spot. Couldn’t believe where it was nestled. I did not have anything but lukewarm water so did not try for a shower; that part a shame. Might have been hot in shower but could not get at sink level.

The room opens to the outside, so mosquitoes can get in. The room was nice, and the property is very quiet. It is in a neighborhood, so things get quiet quickly. It is not hard to find. Overall a nice room.

Loose handles generally on shower doors and toilet paper wall mounts. My shower had no water for the first 2 days. Asked about it after day 1, morning of. Hot water was not strong.

We checked in after dark but the room was very cute and comfortable. Very clean and spacious.

No microwave and can’t bring food to your room
