Red Roof Inn Austin - Round Rock

The hotel was in the process of getting renovated. I immediately realized it was a shady hotel when I pulled up. The interior smelled like cigarettes and my room was "non-smoking". There was hair on the floor in the bathroom. The place felt like it hadn't been cleaned.

The room was old and worn, but clean and the bed was comfortable. We couldn't get the heater to work and woke up to 37, feels like 32 degree weather; we were a little cold to say the least. I didn't get a lot of sleep because of the traffic noise on I35. No coffee in the room or lobby. The motel is pet friendly and did not charge a pet fee. It was an okay stay.

Staff were very courteous. Spacious room with all amenities working welll except for the commode flusher that would not stop flushing intermittently

The trash was not taken out. There were stain on the bed skirt and dirty walls. The back door had no lock attached to the door. There was a hole where the lock once was. Anyone could come in or out. You could also see straight through the window by that door and watch what room they went in.

There was no breakfast, no in room coffee and no lobby coffee at 7:30 am. The flooring in the room was coming up and apart. The floor tile in the bathroom was broke and poorly patched, the vanity sink drained very slow to almost clogged and the shower head flow was very restricted. The counter was not concerned for the guests comfort or concerns.

The sheets were to dirty it was yellow No attendance in the lobby,no one was there

Staff was very friendly. TV remote didnt have batteries but they got us some quick. The room was fine for just an overnight stay.

Location was good. Staff was not friendly or accommodating. Water was dripping constantly on the toilet. So instead of giving us a different room. They gave us access to another room to use the bathroom which had no air and completely inconvenient to say the least. I have never had this kind of experience and have no intention of ever returning.

Again booked a room that was wheel chair accessible and it was already rented out before we got there.

There was supposed to be breakfast. There was none offered. The rooms were in horrible shape. The staff was horrible. I will never go back red roof and never again.

Stained furniture, towels used to fill gaps around bathroom door frame. Dirty towel on bathroom floor when we arrived. Low water pressure, could barely use the shower.

Worked 14 hours, drove 3.5 hours and checked in at 11:45pm. The back door on ground floor did not close or lock, room next door had people partying and smoking with loud music until 3:30am when I cancelled all reservations for next 4 nights. No sleep or rest from music and all the people in the next room. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. At the front desk it says non smoking hotel, lie, told front desk and they said they would check into it.

5 minutes after I got to my room I was harrassed by a homeless man who was on drugs. He tried to enter my room and I closed the door on him and then he banged on my door. The front desk attendant chased him away. I usually love staying at the red roof south austin but Round Rock did not have the same ementies. No ironing board, my blankets had cirgerette burn holes, and no morning coffee, and my chair/office chair was broken. Just not worth the money i spent on this trip around. I'll be sticking to the south location from now on.

The person at the front desk said i could've only paid $110 for 2 nights. The fact that ypu all are no longer interested in using the big hotel names

Any and all staff members I had fbe opportunity to interact with were aways nice, polite and helpful. My room was cold and clean upon my arrival. I stayed for 4 nights and it was quiet and peaceful the entite time. Oh and I should mention, the price was great, especially for the quality recieved and much better than most if not all of their competitors in both categories. Ill definitely stay there again. The toilet was dirty. The shower was dirty. They had repainted and it was paint on the sink and on the toilet seat. The blow dryer was rusty.

Trash was overflowing in the halls. Wasn't emptied from Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Monday morning was still there with more and more. Walls were covered in years of dirt and spit. The bedding had holes in it, stains and writing on the bed spread. The room looked like it had barley been cleaned betweed stays. Bodily fluids were on the cabinet below the TV.

It is filthy and smells like cigarettes and marijuana everywhere. Even in our non-smoking room, that's all we could smell. The floors didnt look vaccummed in the room or the hallway and there was a roach in the shower. We had to change rooms after the first night because the bathroom sink didn't drain, the toilet ran all night, and the bed was a back breaker. My husband and I kept rolling into the center and it was very lumpy. The front desk gentleman was pleasant but seemed very 'oh well' about our concerns.

Floors were falling apart as well as in the bathroom. Was woken up by the loud noises of the staff rolling carts through the hallway around 640 am. The coffee maker in the main area contained the burnt remains of coffee

Then my remote control to the television was not working, etc...after checking out I could not even get a receipt for my records, copier was broke. Yeah, not a good experience. I should not have paid as much as I did to stay there. I will be sure to mention to my friends what a wonderdul stay I had at the Red Roof Inn in Round Round, Texas

Dirty and smelly hotel.

They were remodeling which is great but could’ve let people know. No pool, no breakfast, sticky floors, trash everywhere in stairwell. But my room was clean!

Place smells like marijuana all down the hallways, the heater didn't work and when I asked to be switched rooms, they send me to a room that hasn't been cleaned from the last person that was there. From there the solution was to get an extra thick blanket to weather the cold weather. Zero recommendations from me

I came in for 2 nights for a business convention. I got there at 1 AM on my check-in night. The lock on my door did not work. The Tv did not work in the room. The phone did not work. There was no refrigerator the microwave didn't work. There were no towels or trash cans. Anywhere in the room. I'd love to leave photos, but you're app wont Let me upload photos

There was debris in the restroom area. It smelled like wet dogs. The ac was very dirty and looked like the filter had not been replaced at all. There were cobwebs near the window. Not a great experience

Worst hotel ever and front desk worker is very crooked. Our staff staying there had issues with bugs in their room. Still waiting for a refund because the front desk cheated us out of a room.

When we checked in at 5pm we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our room to be made ready. When we were allowed to go to our room we stepped off the elevator into an entry way that had 3 or 4 bags of trash stacked near the elevator door. We went to our room to change clothes and check the TV - the channel selection was very poor - only a few channels actually came in with a viewable picture and those that did were in Spanish. We then left the room to go to dinner and as my 28 year old son approached the elevator he saw a fairly large rat run across the entry way from the stacked up bags of trash into a room that had an open door. The entire facility was not lit very well and had a musty (dirty) smell to it. Was not a good experience at all - we will not stay there again.

I was concerned about the smells coming from the hallways and room. Hallways dimmly lit. Stains on bedding. Would stay again at this location.

Whatever you pay here, it’s too much. Cat urine smell on first floor. Outside door doesn’t lock. Hotel room door doesn’t lock. Stains on walls and stains on sheets. Very poor communication by the one staff member I saw. Too many stains to count.

I was there for 30 minutes with my 1 year old daughter. We drove for 16 hours so I was letting her walk around the room to get some energy out. Her feet were completely black after walking around for 10 minutes. We did not stay due to the cleanliness. I could not let my daughter stay in those conditions.

The staff at the location was great, with the customer service and willing to help. The negative is the location is dated and need a huge face lift and deep cleaning. Exterminator would also be needed.

Absolutely horrible hotel. smelled of mold, mildew and Body Odor. Asked for two more pillows and couldn't get any; the room came with only two pillows.

I had to change my room 2 times. 1st room had blood on the outide of the toilet running down to floor, 2nd room absolutely no cold water only hot and no AC, the building and all the rooms smell bad and all sheets were dirty like if they reused from previous customer. I had to use my own sheets. The entire building needs remodeling

Smelled in the room. Like a horrible smell. Cheap repairs done on room with paint splatters and poorly repaired walls. Crickets in the room. Tv kept dying. Warn out carpeting in the hall. Honestly I’d never let my wife stay in that room. No coffee maker in room. Hair dryer base but no hair dryer. Never again. If it wasn’t cheap and I booked the week for a job I would have left.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Other than that there was no remote for the TV and the front desk made usto go down and get it. Then the TV did not work so front desk had to come and program the remote to it. The hotel stunk like cats. That was horrible. We were placed on the 3rd floor all the way to the end of the hall. Most Red Roof hotels usually offer some type of continental breakfast, but did not see a set up for that. As a travel agent and as person who stays at lots of Red Roof hotels, I would never put anyone there. Nor would I recommend this place. I was offended and appalled!

This was our second one-night stay here in Red Roof Inn Round Rock. Sure, the place is outdated, but our room was clean and comfortable. The wall had a few scuffs here and there, but nothing major, and it looked like it was newer paint (less than a year repaint). Everything in our room worked (tv, lamps, fridge, microwave), and the shower was a lot warmer than another budget hotel in Austin we stayed at the night before. We went back to this hotel in Round Rock because for this price point, the hotel premises was peaceful and safe. Round Rock is a safe peaceful suburb. Inside, there were no druggies nor crazy guests in the hotel; just normal peaceful travelers who want a budget place to stay in. Also, there were no roaches, no bugs in our room. There's a Shell gas station adjacent to the hotel, so it was so convenient to get late night snacks, ice and beverages.

List of mold in the entire room and bathroom. Lots of damaged furniture. Linen was stained. Smells like a lot of water and mold.

For the price it was good. We had been without electricity for three days and needed a night with a warm shower and air conditioning. Our dogs were welcome and that was a bonus…they enjoyed the cool air also.

There was a musky moldy smell throughout the property. The bed had dirty sheets. We left IMMEDIATELY!! The front desk promised to refund the next 2 nights but would have to charge for the arrival night. They never refunded. We are not exceptionally picky, but this place was way too gross. DON'T BOOK!!
