Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas/Richardson

The breakfast was ok, but the food was cold. I expected the hot items to be kept warm. Upon checkout, I checked my credit card statement and they charged me $6. When I reached out to them about this, they said it was for the water bottles. We did not drink any water from the hotel. Still waiting to hear back on a refund regarding this.

Location was great for meaning behind the stay Front desk charges customers for items not used during stay then has an attitude when asked about it.

Cleanliness could have been better. Room was not cleaned for days. I had to call multiple times just to get sheets changed

I checked in on a Saturday evening and stayed for one night. Check-in was very easy. I found the room to be very clean. The hotel was quiet. I have no complaints. I would stay there again.

Check in was quick and easy, and the front desk receptionist was super kind and just all around cool. We had an incident where somehow the inside of our rooms deadbolt locked with no one in there, and he was able to get us back in with some serious skill getting the door unlocked, and immediately switched us rooms. The pool was nice with freshly stocked towels every time we went down there. The rooms were spacious and clean. The only thing negative I would say is breakfast was very basic, I'd definitely starting offering biscuits or gravy as another dish. But all around great stay.

We had a great stay! The location was perfect for the event we attended, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. They were especially accommodating when we extended our stay through Booking.com, allowing us to keep the same room. We would happily stay here again! A complimentary pitcher of ice water with lemon in the dining area would be a wonderful addition, especially during the hot summer months. Also, the coffee and hot tea in the dining area were often cold and tasted stale.

The property was easy to park, enter, exit daily.

Check in was quick rooms were ready, breakfast could use a little better choice for eggs, pork sausage is always better and maybe a 3rd waffle maker so your not waiting 30 minutes to make a waffle. But will be back again next summer when we book our Crystal Beach vacation

Great hosting!

We had an excellent stay! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My sons enjoyed the pool which was clean with plenty of towels conveniently nearby.

Upon check in systems were down so we had to stand around and wait to check in. Found dirty used towel behind mini couch/chair and never got room service both nights we were there. Shampoo was also empty in shower and only had a half a roll of toilet paper.

Older and worn in places, some stains on carpet, shower water pressure wasn't great.

Nice room and pool. Very nice breakfast. Ice machine on our floor did not work. Wanted to pay cash but not accepted. I did not see or hear prior that no cash accepted.

Disappointing

Cydnee that worked the front desk was a sweetheart, one of the night clerks tried to rerun my card after I had already paid telling me I had a past due balance but couldn’t tell me what is was for and Cydnee was able to sort things out and made sure our experience went smooth. The rooms were very clean and very well stocked. We were there for a work event and needed a late checkout and she did very well at explaining that and allowing us to stay until 1:30 which really helped out. I will be staying there again if I am in the area!

It was amazing place to stay and the rooms were clean

Everything was good the only thing I can say is the shower wasn’t working well and I did mention it to the host that texted me but we were gone and my son was there and so maintenance left before we got back. The room smelled damp and the bedding felt damp also not sure if they have anything to help with humidity. Carpet looked a little old as well.

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. The room was clean and so was the lobby etc. we didn’t get to make it out to pool. The hotel staff was super welcoming and friendly! We traveled from Nashville and they allowed us to check in a bit earlier which was very appreciated. The waffles were beyond yummy. Everything at breakfast was hot. You definitely will find something you like. It was a 10/10 stay.

Hotel employee was an exceptional front desk supervisor!

All aspects of our stay were excellent. The front desk employee — Cydnee — was super warm, friendly and professional. She even offered us us fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies! Yum! The room was spotless and very quiet in the evening/early morning hours. The breakfast & coffee were good, and checkout was simple and expedient. Thank you for a lovely stay. 😊

Exceptional

The entire stay (4 days) no one cleaned our room. . On the 3rd day, we were gone most of the day and returned around 3:30 and the maid decided to come 5 minutes after we returned to only empty the trash. Each day we had to go to the front desk to get towels and we had to empty our trash.. The floor we were on … people above us were stomping the floor constantly. . The only part I can say that was great was the lady at the front desk was professional and nice.

We found a package of insulin needles stuffed into the mattress. The mattress had been sliced open and the package stuffed inside. Also, the fire alarm went off every time we showered.

Okay, ok, let me first say, room was exactly as imaged nothing extravagant Basis. However there was a staff member Cydnee, OMG!!! This young lady went above and beyond. Excellent Customer Service, Excellent, Attitude, Excellent service from the time we checked in on Thursday evening, made the whole trip worth it. The breakfast was average, ample parking.

A fantastic property with wonderful staff. The breakfast wasn’t the best, but it was good. The AC worked well, but there was no option to keep it running overnight for white noise. (This may sound silly, but white noise is really important for my sleep!) There was also no hair dryer which is usually provided at hotels. Still, it was a very clean and conveniently located place. I loved the gym, and there was a nice pool in the back.

The staff at this hotel were excellent!!! I haven’t experienced welcoming, attentive, kind and personal staff as I did here. Breakfast was nice, but more importantly it was clean! The lady employee cleaned the counters, handles, tables and pretty much everything. I could tell she took pride and the safety of her customers seriously. I wish I got her name. When I look at reviews cleanliness and staff are the number one deciding factor for me. This location was the best I have ever experienced. Thank you to the staff I wish I would have written down your names so I could thank you in this review.

The location was exactly the area we needed to be for a family event. At check-in, the staff was very nice, polite, professional, and helpful. The facility overall and the room were clean. The included breakfast was outstanding with a variety of hot and cold choices. We will make reservations at this hotel again if we need to be in the area.

Rooms are always cleaned

Will never stay here again! In fact, we were unable to stay. I booked reservation May 29-31. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we couldn't arrive til Sat the 30th. I called 5 days prior and notified Hampton that we’d like to keep our reservation, but wouldn’t be checking in til Sat. It was a nonrefundable booking, and we understood no refund would be issued for our unused day. The desk clerk said she’d mark down that we’d be late, and could check in anytime on Sat. When we arrived at 3:30pm Sat, I was greeted in a drab manner by a clerk who couldn’t find our reservation in the system. I told him it may be under the 29th since that was the original date. He found it, and said very flatly, “Oh, you’re marked as a no-show.” We explained to him the whole situation, how I had called 5 days prior to notify the hotel that we’d be arriving a day late. I mean, we paid for two nights, so what does the Hampton Inn care if we don’t show up til Sat? They’ve gotten their money. When I showed him proof on my call log that I’d contacted the hotel to notify them, he replied, “That was Cindy, our new girl, she didn’t know any better.” So I questioned how it was possible that they would not let us have a room. He said, “Well, we have rooms available right now but I’ll have to charge you for it!!” On top of what we already paid!! We promptly left and went across street to a much better hotel. Obviously still had to pay for room, but this hotel will never get out $ again.

The staff were very helpful. Served us cookies and when I misplaced my wallet, the lady took her time to help me find my wallet. I can’t remember the names of the 2 staff that served me the cookies and the one who helped me find my wallet. I appreciate them and will come back to the facility because of them

We were only down there for a concert but there was a festival that was going on at the same weekend as the concert. We checked in early and I’m always Leary about early check in’s because some stay over and have a late check out. And some room are not available upon check in she did say let me see if we have the room you booked available it was she asked if the first floor was okay. I told her no problem got my key looked at my room and enjoyed the festival and semi the concert. Will book again I prefer suites but this was okay Richardson is a very nice area thank you looking forward to my next trip to Richardson.

the room is very clean, it is quiet from outside. The only thing is the water don’t have pressure enough to take a good shower.

The only hiccup we had was at checkin the gentleman said the reservation had to be under my husbands name but I was the one to book for him. Never had an issue with any other chain until this one. Seemed very rude over the issue which was a quick fix

Breakfast & location was perfect. Beds were comfy enough, pillows were the typical awful hotel pillows that fall flat the longer you lay on them. Our room had a difficult bathroom door to maneuver, folks above us were loud & we could hear the water draining in the walls from above, but we managed. Overall it was a nice stay & somewhere to lay our head.

I did not see or eat breakfast. My room was pretty clean, but the hall carpet looks awful and the common areas and elevators were below my standard.

Staff was very helpful. The room itself was nice and clean. Loved that their breakfast hours are from 6am-10am as I tend to sleep in. Would book again!

I chose this hotel because the reviews were good regarding parking. That was true. I felt safe with parking for sure. I received way more than safe parking at this hotel. Staff was very responsive when I asked questions- available by text & phone & seemed to really care. The breakfast was one of the best at hotels that I've had & the coffee was even good! This will be my hotel when I stay in Richardson! Thank you!

Parking was odd. It seemed that everyone was parked crooked which didn't leave room for you to get out of the care easily. Very strange. Everything was fine except our room barely had any working outlets to charge our devices. If I hadn't brought an extension cord from home we wouldn't have been able to charge phones, etc. or use my CPAP.

Breakfast was fresh and there was someone updating and cleaning constantly. Parking was good (it's business district and safe area). Room was clean but shower had low-pressure and took a long time to wash down soap.

It was a great 3 day stay. Staff was very friendly, and the room was nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent. WiFi, Parking (free) was super useful too. Loved the availability of free coffee and tea at all times! great value and experience!

The hotel’s location is wonderful. You will get a restful night sleep due to no heavy traffic noise. The nieghborhood is relaxed and quiet.

Did not use pool. Breakfast great. Towel and washcloths supply good for the stay. A surprise was the $50 refundable deposit required on check-in. Parking was great. Overall enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book there again

I stay at this location frequently it’s my go to

The front desk area and lobby are very nice. When you go into the cafe, there are lots of faux leather chairs that are peeling, which gives me the ick. It was clean and the breakfast included was excellent. They had a waffle bar, bagels, muffins, toast, egg & cheese omelets, bacon, sausage, cereal, fresh fruit cut and whole, 4 types of juice, coffee, milk, and hot chocolate. You will find something to suit you. The room itself was a very good size and included a wet bar w/ small fridge, microwave, and sink. The couch/pull out bed area was sad. There were stains on the fabric and the faux leather was peeling. Ick factor again. There was a large desk w/ rolling chair and 42”tv. It was highly useful. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom had an ick factor. The wallpaper was peeling, the doorway mounding was not flush with the wall, there were paint drops on the laminate floor, the toilet didn’t flush at certain times of the day, and the shower ceiling had black smudges and crud. The entire room had a musty smell. It was like wet dog and ashtray combined. It was so bad I went to target, purchased all purpose cleaner and Mrs. Meyers lavender air freshener. I then spent about an hour cleaning the bathroom, room, and deodorizing all soft surfaces.

There was no hot water in the bathroom sink. The outlets in the cabinet where tv sits did not work. Asked for a toilet plunger in the morning and we got back in the late evening and it still was not plunged, so they brought us a plunger and we had to do it.

Great hotel, location, rate, free breakfast and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel and looking forward to staying at there on our next trip.
