When we checked into our room it wasn’t cleaned and had to wait back in line to change rooms.

Good location to stay

I normally stay at this location and have never had a bad Expy, it this time not only did I stay but recommended it to my sister and daughter , my sisters room was very dirty and had to change rooms , beds were not made and room was dirty , my room was dirty. Crumbs on the floor , bed was a little messy and there was a coffee cup someone left behind, tv did not work , we were in town for an event and were already running late so I asked front desk to please get room clean didn’t have time to change rooms but no one went to clean it , very disappointed

Holiday Inn is a great place to stay. Reason for the stay was an plumbing failure at home. It was nice that this location is near and had no plumbing problems, nice hot shower.

They had only 1 luggage cart and it had a flat tire and they didn't care. The pool and spa was dirty. Then, I'd you need extra towels which we needed because there was 3 of us. They would not give us extra towels. The dirty towels have to be taken down fir theti count before replacing the used towels. They expect towels to be reused but only a small hook in the bathroom. No towel bars or anything to hang the towels on. The breakfast wasn't too bad

Disappointed with this room 337 over last weeks 223. The carpet had several stains and cuts, two sheet rock corners had big gauges, the headboard had a tear, the shower had blackish mold in the lower rear corner. For that kind of money I would expect a much better room. The front desk and breakfast staff was friendly and polite.the food had a good variety and was tasty. The hallway from the elevator to the room had a few stains. My impression is it was a very nice hotel that hasn’t been properly maintained.

The second room we got the tv didn’t work at all. Smelled very musty in both rooms & we had bad allergies the entire stay.

The menu is great, but the room does not smell so good.

Superb! Huge clean rooms! Very kind and helpful staff! Great breakfast especially the soft hot cinnamon rolls! Delicious! Gym and pool excellent!

Very clean hotel. And very quiet at night. There were kids next door and when I walked down the hall I could hear them but in my room I didn’t hear a peep. Only thing was on checkout the girls at the desk seemed annoyed too check me out. They didn’t have any customer etiquette. They just looked at me like what do you want!? But other than that my stay was very pleasant!

Breakfast was great & staff was particularly helpful with multiple unique requests( like storing flowers for multi days of dance performances)

The Not-so-Good: The room we were in was not vacuumed and the floors in the suite and in the shower were dirty. In the gym, almost all of the cardio equipment was broken except one treadmill and the rower (kuddos that they had a rower!). The staff were not excited to help in fixing the equipment either. The breakfast was fairly good; but for those that are GF, there were not many options. Lastly, the entire floor we were staying on smelled like weed. Overall: It is a good/safe hotel and very spacious. At this price point, you have many options in this location, so search out the right one based on the most recent reviews.

Paid for a double bed room and it was not clean when I checked in. Front desk could not give me another double bed room but instead gave us a 1 king bed for a family of 5 and told me they couldn't discount it.

I have 2 complaints. The first was the smell of the room. It smelled like an armpit. Figured it was just stuffy so we gave it time but it never got better. Very off putting. The second was the swimming pool was full of leaves. The receptionist was very helpful in helping us clean it out though. Nice guy. All in all I do NOT feel like I got my moneys worth. I normally like the Express but the price, the smell and the pool left me feeling a bit cheated.

I booked a room w/double beds. At ck in, found out elevator out of order. My husband CAN NOT walk up the stairs. Felicity offered the king bed available on bottom floor. She said she was not able to refund the difference in bookings because room booked thru Hotels.com. Needed a room downstairs, so accepted king bed. I understand that elevator has been out over a Month!! A comment should have been posted on your booking site. I was very fortunate a room was available downstairs, even though the room I got was cheaper than the room I booked! Better communication is definitely needed between Holiday Inn and Hotels.com.

I’m very sure the Fairfield behind the holiday inn or even the Quinta inn was. Better. I did not like my check in, check out experience. For a holiday in the room was not as clean, there was a smell, and the bathroom had a leak. The breakfast was no good at all

The room had roaches and the coffee maker- Keurig was broken . They did not offer breakfast or even fruit or cereal. The door had trim falling off, I felt unsafe even with the double bolt in place. No house keeping available, staff was rude and short when asking for extra towels. At checkout I requested a receipt and was turned down because I booked through Expedia. So disappointed, and

Avoid if you can. Hottub was not working which is what we had specifically selected this hotel for. Fridge had leftover stuff. Door lock had issues. Breakfast spread was very little. They also had stale apples and didn’t bother to replace until I told.

The room was great. It was very roomy and comfortable. The king size bed was exceptionally comfortable. Loved the K-cups too. The associate on duty for check in was very nice and friendly. The only negative complaint I have, there was no one at the desk when we left the next morning 7:30am. I was not able to get my receipt. Had to call the next day to take care of it.

I have stayed at several hotels in the area but this was the best. I mentioned that to the person at the front desk. Additionally, I enjoyed the free “Take One” cookie at the front desk. They were delicious.

The rooms are very spacious! Beds were comfortable. The tub had mold stains. Also under the faucet drain. The breakfast wasn't all that great. The coffee was extra super strong. I had to just throw it away.

The gym was the only nice part about the place. Had to be moved from my first room due to a mainenace issue with the plumbing after the first night. Both rooms I stayed in had black caulking around the tubs. And one of the floors was all sticky. Second night people were partying in the rooms and there were people running back and forth and yelling in the halls for 2 nights in a row who trashed the halls and elevators.. Beds were clean and the workers behind the desk were very friendly and I saw them be firm with the other obnoxious guests.

Room wasn’t ready at checkin and we were ok with that but we were not ok when they came knocking 45 min before checkout trying to clean the room. The bathroom shower and sink were clogged. Found a bug in the shower. The floors were dirty and the stairwell looked like someone dumped a trash can going down the stairs from the 2nd floor. Left this morning and the wet towels left behind last night were around the pool. Not sure if staff is short or not but just looks messy. Also freezer was not working in our fridge but was brought to front desks attention to look at.

I booked a $200 room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch for my family of 4 adults. When we got to the hotel, we were told that we had booked a room with just a king sized bed. I pulled up my receipt from hotels.com and the front desk attendance shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry, there are no other rooms within a 2 hour radius." So, we took the room. My daughters shared the small pull out couch. We had to put the mattress on the floor because it was too small for 2 18year olds to share without falling off. There were peanuts and candies all over the mattress. The worst part is the hotel claimed to not have any blankets or pillows for the pull out couch. Luckily, my girls had a couple of blankets in the car - and my husband and I gave them our top sheet. So, they slept on a bare mattress with no pillows. I don't understand what the hotel thought when they saw a reservation for 4 adults. I am willing to bet, they gave our room to somebody else in hopes we would not show up - or if we did show up it would be late and we would just accept our fate. I guess they were correct... we just accepted our fate for the night. Hotels.com offered us a $25 refund for the mixup. I can't say that made it any better.

There was no one thing that made our stay unpleasant. It was a bunch of small things. Like the (big)hole in the wall in the shower that was covered with white duct tape. They almost had me because I didn’t notice that until the second day. No sheets on the pull out sofa etc. Then we decided to stay a third day. We had to move to a different room, which I understand, but in the new room there was mold in the shower, broken tiles on the walls in the bathroom, the tv remote was missing, and again no sheets on the pull out sofa. There were a lot of kids running around the halls and being loud. I understand that to a point as I believe there were some families that had been displaced from a recent hurricane. All and all it wasn’t the worst experience I have ever had (That was a La Quinta Inn), but it wasn’t the greatest either.

The only thing problem i had was i was there for 2 night. After 1st day we went out we came back and the room wasn't clean so i call the front desk and they say we don't clean room every day we do it every other day. I stay in soo many hotel and this is the first time i ever heard this.

This Holiday Inn was a fantastic place to stay with my family. Staff is very hospitable and honest! Highly recommend if you’re in the Pasadena area.

Clean room, welcoming environment. The lady that served in breakfast was really helpful and attentive.

Breakfast was not great. One washer/dryer is not ideal. Overall good stay for a great price.

If you need to stay somewhere with convenient access to the Pasadena area and close to chain retail and restaurants, this a good clean hotel. I also appreciate the free charging stations for EVs.

We were on 3rd floor, with many families with wild late night children. They were running in halls, hollering, slamming doors. Blame parents. Went to reception desk at 10:45 PM to complain. Offered to move us. Too late for that! Moved next day. Better!

No towels bad food then staff lied

Check in with the larger gentleman at the front desk was painful. He seemed annoyed that we were keeping him from his phone. The breakfast nice but could have been better quality, no pancakes but they had eggo waffles. Dirty cleaning rag was found in room

The breakfast provided was at best substandard, with somethings being completely inedible.

The room appeared clean when we checked in, but you could tell housekeeping had just done a quick room clean of surface item¿s. We found a bowl of chips, pizza crusts, and other random food underneath one of the chairs in the corner. It was so gross.

Hotel was not serving hot breakfast as advertised, which had been a large factor in us choosing it over a close competitor. Should have been made aware of this prior to arriving, and had a slight discount offered since we had to go out for real breakfast.
