Homewood Suites by Hilton Odessa

I had a good stay overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and I really loved having a ceiling fan in the room. The air conditioner also worked very well, which was especially appreciated during the Texas heat. The only issue I had was that the phone in the room was not working. Other than that, I was pleased with my stay and would stay here again.

No one was at the front counter when we arrived. We had just drove 11 hours and were ready to get to our room and sleep. We waited 10 minutes to no avail. We decided to call the hotel front desk from our personal phone to see if the phone ringing would prompt someone to come out, which it did. A young girl dressed in all black came out from behind the corner where the bathrooms were, which was strange because the sign put up said no one was at the front due to helping a guest. The room we stayed in had cracked tiles all over the bathroom floor with pieces just sitting loose in their place but would move under the weight of your foot. We could have cut our feet. There were chips of coating missing out of the bathtub so we didn’t use it. The bed was hard as a rock. There was zero difference between the hardness of the mattress and the floor. Horrible experience. Would not recommend.

The gym was available to use but for some reason there was no AC and only heat was on. The front desk said the AC is not working so I had to drive out to a local gym and pay daily to use it when I selected that property to use the gym. The room was missing 2 pillowcases for the sofa bed and missing a towel (3 people in the room). The ice machine was completely missing where it’s supposed to be. They were out of waffle mix both days we were there which disappointed my kids since that’s something they looked forward to. The front desk attendant was knitting when I approached her for pillowcases and I felt like I was disrupting her knitting session.

I am so glad I chose to stay here. It was my first time passing through Odessa. The hotel was conveniently located near restaurants, shops, and grocery retailers. I was right off the highway, so I didn't have to drive far to continue my travel the next day. The breakfast was hot and delicious the next morning, and all the staff personnel I encountered were very courteous. My room was very nice and spacious with all the amenities a traveler might need, and the property was very clean and quiet. I had a good night's rest, and I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming back to Odessa.

I love the location! The staff is awesome they offer very good service. The lady at the front desk is great. The elevator was out of service. There were not enough towels for use. The direct tv and the channels offered were not as good as the Hampton inn in Lubbock. Also there was no means of charging your phone by the bed.

Tiredness: upon entering our room, I was struck immediately by an unpleasant smell like mildew or water damage, attempted to be covered by air freshener. One towel in the room had a previous guest's hair "embedded" in the terry cloth. The light in the bathroom was very dim, and the tiles in front of the shower were loose. One of the two elevators was out of service, and many of the room doors and walls inside our room are scuffed with black marks. Wifi service: the bandwidth was not even enough to allow streaming services (we could not watch a Netflix show).

The location is OK. The manager is not professional. The building had two days without water, no hot water for 4 days, despite complaints. The manager does not know how to manage a hotel. Hired unprofessional workers to do the job. I expected more professionalism from a Hilton brand.

Convenient location. Bathroom smelled like urine. Barely tepid shower on Sunday morning. Cold shower on Monday morning.

We got there and there was no water, still waiting for a refund.

Pool was nasty. They did work on it though. First room had no air but staff was very friendly and moved us right away. Breakfast was great!

The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The kitchenette was nicely stocked. A/C was a bit noisy the first night and the hum from the fridge was a bit annoying. The elevator sounded awful and was rough. The area around the hotel had good choices of restaurants that were walkable.

The room was clean. Staff was friendly. Price is high but it's Odessa. Floor in front of shower was bad and breakfast wasn't as good as it was 8 months ago but I do feel safe there

An outstanding experience in a top-quality hotel. A spot-less, comfortable, room featuring the strongest water pressure in the shower of any prior hotel visit. Highly recommended.

It was okay! It was a couple of things in my room that had some cosmetic damage!

Very outdated and smelly rooms. Dingy, dark, and smells old and musty and dirty and moldy. I feel dirty just walking into this room. I wish someone would’ve said something about this in the reviews so I could’ve stayed somewhere else.

Room was nice and clean. Also had a full kitchen in it. Spacious bathroom. The only thing I didn’t quite understand was y the hallways were so hot! The rooms were nice and air conditioned but when u stepped out in the hall it felt like the heater was on. But I didn’t stay in the hall much so overall it was perfect. Pet friendly as well!

Our room was nice and clean. A mini kitchen with a full size refrigerator was a nice surprise!

When I checked in they asked for my credit card to cover incidentals. Before I got to the elevator, they charged it $54, woke up the next morning another $90+. They eventually reversed the charges and just charged the $4/day for parking. 2 of the 3 treadmills in the gym area were out of order.

Room was poor compared to previous stay. Pillows and towels were just awful, sink was clogged and drained very slow, and shower head had so much hard water stains on it. It was definitely not what I would expect from Hilton.

The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Enough space for me, my wife, and two young boys. Pool was nice. Breakfast was decent. Everything was in working order. For the price, it was an excellent value and I would stay here again.

everything that I was looking at was excellent.

This was an overnight stay on our way to Ft. Worth, TX. The room was slightly smaller than the ones we’re used to with other Homewoods, but it wasn’t a big deal since it was just a stop over. Front desk was very nice and accommodating to our room request. We walked across the parking lot to Grub for dinner and it was amazingly delicious and not bad on the pocketbook. We would definitely stay here again.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The ceiling fan make a strange noise so we didn’t feel comfortable using it. Bedding was quality which helped us get a good night’s sleep. We will stay here again.

The staff was warm and helpful and went out of her way to make sure our room was in a quiet area of the hotel, located away from the elevator. Our room was spacious, clean and provided everything we needed. Also, great restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. I will definitely be a return customer.

Very nice place and lovely area!

We had a nice stay with pleasant staff and a very clean and comfortable room and extra blankets were in the room which was nice.

The only thing I did not like was the TV mount on the wall, bad angle for viewing tv while in bed or on couch. I needs to have the double swing out instead of the single swing out.

Overall it was clean. The smell of sewage was really bad in the hallways and eventually came into our room. Hard to sleep with the smell.

Breakfast good. My shower did not have a lot of pressure and was no that hot. Overall good.

I guess I was expecting more from a Hilton Property. It was a little larger than most of the other condo-hotels but nothing special. Room had a spider and a few ants, I didn't complain b/c felt once I killed them nothing more. Breakfast was the best out of other places we stayed the past week but the guests (no fault of the hotel) came down in robes and one took almost all the food. One thing that made me not go back for more coffee was the cleaning crew w/ gloves on not removing the gloves to get coffee, contaminating the coffee handle .... :(

Hotel was clean room we were in had no light in restroom told front desk and they said to fix the box behind door to switch lights on but they continued to go out was to tired to complain again so left hotel next day and had 2 day stay for nothing

Everything was excellent!!! From the cleaning lady to the breakfast lady!!! The GM was so friendly she made sure we were fully taken Care of. Everything was clean,breakfast was great!! The only bad thing is our kids didn’t wanna leave lol. WE DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Very friendly staff, exceptional service! Clean rooms! Amenities were great! I’d love to have the traditional breakfast again, but considering covid restrictions, the hotel still did a fabulous job offering safe alternatives in prepackaged options. Loved the quiet atmosphere, sanitized rooms!

Only stayed two nights, no housekeeping services during our stay.

Centrally located to some nice restaurants. Very nice amenities! Too bad I didn't get to try their typical breakfast as COVID has caused these times of items to be prepackaged, so that means no breakfast buffet :-( Overall still a great place to stay.

This hotel was our halfway pit stop both coming and going on a recent trip to Texas. I’ve stayed at Homewood Suites locations in the past and have absolutely loved the experience. Our recent stays were just “Ok”. The hotel was exceptionally clean which is a huge plus. They advertise a free HOT breakfast which was a major reason I chose this location over others, but due to COVID it is a super inconsistent takeaway continental breakfast. I completely understand the health restrictions, but they should advertise accordingly. The rooms have this tile flooring in the kitchen and bathroom that is basically a death trap. I almost fell multiple times whether in socks or barefoot. The beds are reasonably comfortable, but the sheets barely fit it so with two people in the bed it’s an all night fight for warmth. The hallways were also unbearably hot for some reason. Overall, clean hotel and a positive experience with friendly staff, but a big step down from what I remembered.

The property advertises itself as a premium hotel property that looks good but could not be further from the truth. Advertises breakfast included yet did not even have coffee because the coffee maker was broken. Enough said. Go to the MCM Elegante for half the price and twice the value.
