Comfort Inn & Suites, Odessa I-20

The hallways smell horrible walking to your room. I had to use my nasal vapor inhaler to cleanse my olfactory senses. The location can’t help it, but I-20 had closures even on the streets surrounding the property so it was difficult to get to it using navigation. When I asked the clerk the easiest way to get back on she had no idea. I won’t be staying there again.

The rooms where nice and cold The the lobby the gym and the pools where closed that the only reason why i booked that hotel for the pool for my kids

The hotel was very hot , no ac in the hallways , laundry facilities not working at all , all the ice machines and vending machines were broken only the first floor had a working ice machine . The parking look like a trash can people just throw on the ground the food they did not eat. Won’t be staying there again .

The parking lot is too small and the breakfast eggs were very poor.

The staff is amazing , they do amazing with room service . However to be a Comfort Inn not worth the price. Laundry room out of service since i got here, I booked for 6 days , vending machines out of order , ice machines out of order only 1st floor has one working . Parking lot had food people dumped all over the parking lot . When you walk in to the hotel it is super hot temperature is about 83 degrees on every floor .

Staff very helpful, courteous, friendly. Would recommend this Comfort Inn to friends and family The only negative is the free breakfast however it is the same food offered we encountered driving across country . All lodging should stop using powdered eggs or whatever they are made of.. the yogurt was a nice surprise.

Room was clean, safe, and quiet. Enjoyed it very much. We are a young traveling couple with a service animal and had no issues.

I was very pleased with the hotel. The value was great. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. Also, the staff that I spoke to were very pleasant and helpful. The coffee maker at breakfast did have issues and the equipment in the fitness area did not work well.

No Hot water for the Duration of the stay. Had a family emergency and checked out for my 2nd night there. They refused any type of refund for the hot water situation and the leaving on the 2 nd day

I was a very good stay. The provided breakfast was excellent, The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a couple of minor ticks with the room. The desk lamp switch was very stiff and took enough pressure that some people might give up. The desk chair had both a tilt control and a height control for the seat. I could not get the height control to work. The water pressure for the bathroom sink was low at the time I was using it. They had a sign saying they used well water so maybe during high demand the well pump doesn't keep up.

Strange that housekeeping just came in my room around 9am. Did not knock or announce herself and check out isn't until 11am. Well she definitely got an eye full. The peeling paint on the inside of the bathroom door was also a mess. Need to keep the property up.

Breakfast was okay, don't have decend coffee. Hotel has a bad smell. Gym was poor. there is only one treadmill which was out of order.

Whole property just feels outdated and old. Bathrooms are gross. Air conditioning never felt right - felt stuffy and hot the whole time.

We had an issue with our booking through Expedia. I got charged, we had a confirmation number and the hotel did not find the booking. No problem. However, when I called the hotel to get more information the manager was extremely unnecessarily RUDE. I have never experienced this kind of disrespect, even more coming from the MANAGER. As he was talking to me on the phone, he was giving orders to employees, kept cutting me off and completely uninterested. I was only asking for information, and he kept telling me "I don't know what else you want me to tell you", but sadly he was not giving me ANY information. Extremely upset about this situation. I manage a company, and we are continuously booking hotel stays, this experience was so upsetting I will boycott this hotel permanently. Worst service and experience, EVER.

The weekend rates are awesome if you have family, relatives and friends coming into town and you don't have enough room at home. Hotel is clean, alittle musty in the hallways but has great service.

Staff was nice at check in. Room was a suite with a sofa bed. Queen beds were ok, but sofa bed cushions were filthy and the sofa bed had a thin mattress. It was unusuable. Hallway trash not emptied. Trash everywhere.

Room was dirty and smelled rank, and this is Odessa where everything stinks so for it to smell worse, oof. Food debris and crumbs in the vouch cushions. Clerk was annoyed when we asked for more pillows /sheets for the sofa bed. Rude to my wife and told her we already had 8, we only had six. Breakfast selection was lame, ran out of bacon, never replaced. Coffee machine was broken so the had a single pot brewed which was terrible. Basically this is the last place you want to stay in Odessa.

The room was nothing like the pictures or previous reviews. The lobby was kind of clean with stained furniture. The room was terrible……thankfully though, there were no bed bugs (I did check). The floors are carpet and looked to have about 20 different stains at least in our small room. The walls nor doors were clean. The breakfast area was bare minimum and for someone who doesn’t eat pork or red meat, I had to resort to a biscuit that tasted like the freezer. And the smell, smelled like sewage in the dining area. 10/10 would not recommend.

The room smelled like feet. The carpet was dirty. Had stains all over. The mirror on bathroom was all chipped. As much as they charge, they should be able to buy new mirror and replace carpet.

When you first walk into the lobby the smell of rotten eggs/sewer hits but goes away after walking to your room/hallway. Not pleasant at all and the pool being temporarily closed should be mentioned while booking on sites. Bathrooms need to be remodeled as well you can see a lot of rusted pieces around the faucet and toilet.

When you first come in the lobby, it had a bad odor and when I got to my room, it was real filthy and nasty. I used a black light and saw all kinds of stains on the bed on the side of the bed on the carpet and the couch And it also had blood stains on the sheets. I immediately left the hotel and booked another one the same night I went to super eight by Wyndham

Don’t do it. No water pressure, front staff didn’t even know where to recommend me for dinner… plenty , laundry out of service and so much more!

Property smells really bad

I work nights and the staff would knock 3-4 on the door every ‘morning. I even placed the do not disturb sign on the handle. I would not suggest anyone to stay at this hotel.

To be honest we have to go to the lobby because in the first room there was a problem with the toilet which was spilling water, besides the shower was over rusty. In the second room the lamps were broken and dirty old... just as the bath tub was dirty. On our first day when the housekeeping passed by I asked for extra towels to which she said to give them the dirty ones... apparently they cannot give extra towels that...... It has not been a very good experience to be honest.

There was a terrible odor at the hotel. I do not know what it was, but it smelled like a paper mill nearby. It did not smell too bad in the rooms, but all the common areas were terrible

Check in was good .. the hallway smelled like mildew.... Shower pressure was not great, luke warm water... Don't get me started on the breakfast... It was not ready at the time it was suppose to be ... eggs were luke warm, bread was hard...

Great place to rest for a long days drive. Had to wait at the counter as a walk in needed a room for a couple of hours. He would not pay for it until she came in...so I had to wait. She was rude to the employee, vaping and exhaling in his face. He immediately rebuked her. the she went to the fridge and removed 2 waters and told the john to pay for them. After he paid, the desk clerk noticed she stole a candy bar. He let them go on about their business. The staff should not have to put up with this nonsense. After that, the was polite and helpful. The hotel looks new but there are signs of its age here and there. The breakfast was the usually stuff...but they had whole milk! That was a plus..Dad likes whole milk on his cereal! Bed was comfortable. Location is near a brand new QT and also I-20.

I was not expecting to check in to a sewer plant. Place literally smells like excrement. Not a very welcoming experience, especially after driving all day. Do not book here.

We did not stay because our reservation got booked for a day earlier than what i asked for.

We booked 2 rooms with two beds, but was charged more for that same style room! we arrive and they want to charge more for double bed rooms. Booked on Expedia for one price but when we got to hotel we were charged more that what was booked on Expedia. Minimum breakfast items available one hour after breakfast started. Will not book again.

First off, showed up at 3 am and the whole lobby smelled like $hi* literally. Was told they had a pipe bust on the bottom level that morning and was ensured that none of the rooms above the floor would be affected. Got to my room on the second floor with my wife and two young daughters (4yr old and 7mo old) and the smell was almost just as awful. On top of that the whole building has had very shotty “maintenance”. Paint chipping everywhere, water damage on ceilings, musty smell(aside from sewer smell), no sheets pillow or blanket for the extra fold out sofa bed I was planning on using for my daughters. Very apparent that the owners do not keep up with the maintenance well at all. Asked to be moved to a room on the top floor and was immediately told there wasn’t one without them even checking. They eventually got their manager and they confirmed that that was indeed a room we could use on the top floor. Got to that one. Smell was very slightly less pungent but hardly any different, still no sheets, and for some reason the whole bathroom floor was sticky. Honestly this hotel should not have even been in operation at the time of my stay, the sewer problem was very bad and I’m sure was hazardous to everyone’s health that was in the building. I understand these things could happen to anybody, but there is also measurements that could be taken and things that could be done in order to prevent things like this, ex: timely proper maintenance. Owner should not be so greedy about $$$

I never have done a review on a Hotel before. But I feel obligated to. This room was filthy. Towels were not white. Stained sheets. Toilet was nasty. We would've left but it was a very long drive and we were exhausted. I slept in my clothes, I cleaned the toilet seat, and tried to sleep. This hotel is catering to men. So if you're a grandmother traveling with your daughter and grandaughter, please do not stay here!!!

It was very neat and tidy. The only issue I had was they didn’t offer any usb connections anywhere. Not on the outlets or the lamps. Other than that it was great.

I care not to comment any further. I will just choose a different facility on my next vist to the area.

The room seemed clean enough, however in the middle of the night, there was a distinct smell of sewage. There’s a drain in the middle of the bathroom floor and it seem to be coming up from that.

The sofa bed was paper thin. I asked for linens. Said they do not have a fitted sheet so gave us 2 top sheets. When we lifted up the mattress to put sheet on..it was full of Cheetos and crayons and candy and the mattress was very nasty. We closed it back up and it get slept on not made up. The fan in the bathroom did not work. I told them at the desk that the employee was sitting on and she just said ok thanks.

The cleaning lady was great. The remaining staff needs remedial training on how to exemplify the”Comfort Inn quality way.” Invest more in upkeep of the facility. Caulking of toilet to floor is not safe nor smart. Use bolts to secure toilet to floor. Fix the non-operating computer and double your production.

when you walk down the hallways of the second floor it smells of body odor and there are big black spots all over the hall floors. i went into my room and the smell carried in to the room there appeared to be bodily fluids on the floor at the foot of the bed. i usually bring my own bedding to sleep with and great thing that i did because when i pulled the bed sheets back me and my girlfriend noticed what looked like a huge urine stain on the mattress topper and there was red stains on the sheets. the curtains where blackened due to the a/c blowing them around. over half of the lights in the room did not work. then i get a notification from comfort inn saying that i was charged $30.00 for something i will never stay at another one of there properties. and i will not recommend them to a friend or family i wouldn't even recommend it to my enemy

This place was clean, convenient, and extremely friendly--actually some of the nicest and most professional staff we’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. Gave us all the help needed when requested. Breakfast was awesome! Pool was fun, & clean! My family enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay again in the near future!
