La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Midland

The pictures are deceiving. If I wasn’t exhausted from driving 12 hours, totally would have gone somewhere else. I drove in and felt the licataion was sketchy.

The place was ok but wasn’t anywhere near as nice as the pictures looked. One reason I reserved a room there was because of the pool. Once I got there they said it wasn’t open . Although they did offer a refund when I told them that was a reason why I had chosen that motel. For the price it wasn’t bad though. Seen much worse and the staff was helpful and friendly.

I have never stayed in a La Quinta this bad . It is dirty smelly and unsafe. The pillow cases were or looked dirty. The refrigerator was not working and would not open. The tv wasn't working but the attendant did fix that but he knocked my car keys on the floor in between the drawers and wall which caused me to go on a key hunt the next. My advice, DON'T STAY HERE!! I forgot to mention the electrical short in the lamp,

The room was awful, bathtub was black, I was afraid to step in it. The linens old and stained. When 1st walked in the room the only light that worked was the bathroom light. Allthe others were unplugged. The pictures on your website were deceiving. It will be a long time before I use hotel.com again

Safety lock on door broken. Bathroom door had been kicked in and just screwed back into wall, Tub was filthy, light in the bathroom broken so instead of replacing it they just added a new one. Iron missing. Refrigerator taken out of cabinet and placed on ther wall because electrical outlet wouldnt work.

Bed was comfortable, water pressure was good. The common areas, and room were dirty. The room, while wiped down, need a thorough cleaning. Tub had a dirt ring around it. All of the base boards in the hotel need cleaning as did the walls in the breakfast area. Very dirty.

Water started pouring into our room from upstairs through the bathroom light, the room They tried to convince us to stay in to replace our flooded room smelled like mold and rotting meat (no exaggeration), the next room had molding food and mold smell

Breakfast was terrible, thawed out waffles and old cereal. Gaps in the doors and the pool was out of commission.

Upon check in (it was really late and I had called to inform them of our way late arrival) and I had asked if we could have a 1st floor room (stairs are a little difficult for me) and the man behind the desk said “if you wanted that kind of perk you should have gone to a better place, the lower floors have a bad smell”. And then once we got into our second floor room the remote for the television had no cover over the batteries. But the room was exactly what we expected for the price. Unfortunately this has joined my not next time list.

We were changed rooms twice.. first room: dirty, had mold, no cold water, broken room lock. 2nd room had all of the above plus boot marks, and a COCKROACH crawled out of the peephole on the door. Third room was the best of them all but still disgusting. The pool was not open, the “breakfast” had moldy apple juice. This was the worst experience ever.

Staff were very helpful and welcoming I just dont think it’s well maintained our room carpet was very dirty and smells. Room furnitures were very dirty, and beds were made but felt dirty. I didn’t have to but I took every sheet and pillow to a close by laundromat to wash and dry, wiped down the room and disinfected it while waiting on the laundry and it made a huge difference. Horrble rooms and cleanless

The room was disgusting. Has not been vacuumed and the bathroom was very gross. Front desk staff was very rude and not helpful.

Roaches. Urine smell throughout the halls and into our room. The beds look like they had bedbugs. The lampshade looked like it had been peed on. Will never stay here.

There was absolutely nothing positive about this hotel my husband toddler and I got there the first room we were given had mold everywhere we were given a second room which had someone else in it already which was super concerning our third room had roaches mold in the drawer weird stains everywhere nothing was clean this place is disgusting and not safe what so ever we requested a refund and were told it was out of their hands and given a email

There was absolutely nothing I liked about the property. The roads were filthy. A showerhead didn’t work. We checked in at almost midnight and it was a big inconvenience . The restaurants were dirty, full of rust and very unsanitized . The rooms smelled like urine , outside of my door we could smell weed . the staff didn’t even pay attention to my concerns, I called many times and no call back. they still charge me full price even if I didn’t stay there a single night.

Dirty room, the worst experience ever!!!

Nothing…. It was scary because of the people hanging around. I didn’t stay at all. I left after 10 min. I tried to get a refund but since I booked through you. No refund. It was dirty!! The lobby was fine. When you go around the building to your room?? It was drugs/ tailgating with a grill in front of their room. Nasty parking lot.

The room itself was clean and spacious. Linens were very clean. The staff was nice but do need updated employee education on service animals (a service animal does not have a special tag on their collar, most scam websites give this to “fake” service animals). Regardless, good experience, would return.

Bathtub had purple and black paint spilled in the tub,had no bath mates for inside the tub,only one bath towel no face towels, no ice bucket, and the ice machine on the second floor didn't work, no tray for the microwave,TV didn't work,pool was closed,phone didn't work. I came to visia friend and relax, and I was so ready to go,we left @ 4 am didn't even stick around for breakfast. No elevator so imagine how may times I went up and down those stairs!! NEVER AGAIN!!

Carpets had several stains and wet spots, did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot. Both the tub and sink were clogged and would fill up fast making it hard to shower or even wash hands. Mattress boxes were stained and not covered. At least the sheets felt clean enough.

Also a woman overdosed outside the room on our last night.

Room was horrible. Dirty, bugs on the floor, smelled like raid. Water smelled like sewer, walls were chipping, caroet was stained as well as all the lamps. Mattesses were stained and moldy. Just an awful place. Gross and hazardous to people’s health.

The lady at the front desk was very kind. Room was alright but the shower head was broken, bathtub clogged. Installations looked old, lamp light not working. I was surprised a Windham hotel to be like that. Probably it was the room we got that happened to need maintenance.

Just wasn't great. Only one lamp worked, one was completely busted, the tub was stained with hair dye, there was a smashed roach on shower wall, pool was closed, bfast was not the best... The apples (only fruit offered) were squishy and bruised, the coffee was just brown water, only real option was a waffle or cereal. It wasn't bad, especially for the price, just could have been better.

very old facility, i booked a non smoking room and found out that it had the cigarrete smell impregnated in the walls. the breakfast not good, the contruction pretty old, carpets seem old too. bad experience over all.

I'm too old for a place like this, room had a unique smell. Cigarettes and something but it was tangy. Check-in was weird. Zero ID check, or credit card etc. Just gave them my name and they handed me a key. I bailed and went down the street to a different hotel, I can put up with a lot, I've been all over the world but there was no way I could have slept.

Both rooms were dirty. The handicap room for my parents wreaked of cigarette smoke. Our room was dirty and the bathtub was extremely dirty and brown. The bottom of the tub was peeling. Extremely loud people were hanging out in the parking lot drinking and playing loud music from their truck. Very bad experience!!

Room was dirty, bathtub was so stained it was dark grey. Room had not been cleaned it had dust and dirt on headboard. Old hotel so a little run down is expected. A good cleaning crew wouldake a big difference. Windows and mirror looked liked they were cleaned with dirty water.

The room had many problems, The Room smelled very bad. there were no trash cans, the TV, Cable, refreigertor did not work, only one light fixture worked but but was barley holding on to wall. The bathroom ceiling was black and falling, the corner walls in room were full of ensect waste. in room did not work. Since we got there after 1 am. We slept with door open and we just delt with it. Ver disatisfied with room. I gave it 2 star becuase the air worked and the shower worked.

The room had already been paid for on hotels.com but the at check in they tried to run my card again for their rate of the rooms. The room had a musty smell and the bathroom wasn’t very clean!

After pulling into the property and seeing the condition and loiterers, we did not feel safe to check in. The pictures on the Expedia website are very different from the actual property.

The bathtubs were black, my crew which was staying there for a job couldnt even stay there the night because they were getting bit in the beds. If there were zero stars to give I'd do that. This place should be condemned.

Not a great place to stay - near railroad so it was noisy in the night

Stinks like piss-trashed property, shadows lurking-like most cheap hotels. It’s a good last resort (before sleeping in your car).

Did not provide wheelchair accessible room as requested. Water pressure was great but the faucet was broken and all the water went into the tub and didn’t reach the shower head. Then the tub could not drain fast enough. My feet did get a nice soaking by the time I could get the shampoo rinsed out of my hair… but yuk.

The room was beyond disgusting. The entire hotel was entirely rundown. My room looked like it had been clean in years. It was so filthy dirty even after taking a shower I felt extremely dirty. It was so rundown worst stay I’ve ever had. Seems like the owners just gave up on attempting to upkeep the property entirely.

Bathroom shower looked like someone came from the oil fields and took a shower the base was really dirty and black. No ice machine working. I can't believe this is a Wyndham hotel it reminds you of a sleezy motel that was changed over.

Perimeter parking was full of trash. The hotel had approximately 30 mattresses laying out in the parking lot area. Room wasnt clean when i walked in. Trash was still in the bin. The room had a stench that has horrible! When i asked for a refund, the attendant said since i booked through the internet he wasnt able to assist.

The sink wouldn't drain; I had to pick my hair out myself to get it to drain. The coffee maker has a very short cord. I had to crawl under the table to reach the outlet and make coffee. The light bulbs weren't screwed in all the way. A previous customer left some coffee papers behind, and I asked that only coffee be left for me. I think things like that need to be taken care of. Otherwise, it's a nice, quiet place.

First room stunk of smoke. Second room had no trash cans. Some lights did not work. Staff was accommodating.

I would not give this hotel even 1 Star. I use La Quinta hotels all the time and never been disappointed, until that day. We didn’t even stay. The outside was filthy, there was trash all around the property and dirty, bloody mattress’s in the back. The roof in the bathroom was crumbling and swelling up the base board in front of the tub wasnt even connected and there was blood on our sheet.

Staff was very friendly, housekeeping is nice! Not a huge breakfast selection just waffles, yogurt, mini muffins, and instant oatmeal, cereal and fruit. (NO MEAT OR EGGS) Orange and apple juice, milk and coffee. But I mean it's something! Stay has been pleasant, not a lot of traffic or outside noise.

Room was well aged and no internet at the time of my stay

I have stayed at many La Quintas and this has to be the WORST one I’ve ever stayed. The whole place was dirty, smelled of weed and cigarettes. The room was disgusting. I didn’t even want to use the shower as it was so gross. Half the light bulbs were missing. And someone had ripped the wire out of the mini fridge so that didnt work. We HAD to stay one night but I refused to stay the second night. When I went to check out they had never actually checked me in and was showing as a no show. What a mess! This place needs new management and new staff. Just horrible!

Hotel had no WiFi and I was without water 2 of my 3 day stay. Room was not clean.

the first room was disgusting. When I first walked in. It was a very strong smell of cigarettes. I try to turn on the light. The light would not turn on. There was only one lamp that had a lightbulb when examining the bathroom I found hair inside a very filthy tub when I went to go and pull back the covers to check there was hair inside there as well I went to the front desk and asked for a different room because that room was unsuitable. I was given another room when I walked in the smell was horrendous. I proceeded to go and check the bathroom. The bathtub was filthy like it had never been clean before there was snot inside the sink that was dried in there. The bed smelled really bad. I didn’t even wanna look under the covers the walls were filthy. I could not stay there. I put then proceeded to the front desk and tell them I cannot stay here. I want a refund front desk just gave me an ugly look made me feel very uncomfortable for asking for a refund. Then I asked how often are these rooms cleaned he said he don’t know. He’s just the front desk, my husband was forced to find me a hotel at 1 AM in the morning and had to pay double the amount that I paid at La Quinta because it was a short notice and I did not have any reservations for the next two days. This is my first time ever traveling by myself, and it was one of the worst experiences ever, especially at this hotel staff should be trained properly rooms should be cleaned immediately and detailed fixture should fixed

There was mold on the shower ceiling, previous leaks that bubbled the paint in multiple areas around the room, smoke detector was removed, and worst of all, there was a pungent odor that filled the room that you could literally taste. I believe it came from the discusting a/c and heat unit in the room. Smelled like a thick mildew. This room was the worst I've stayed in a really long time. The odd thing about it was when I called to make reservations, I was quoted over $500 for the 2 day stay. I got a much better deal with Expedia at $155. I couldnt even stay the second day, the smell was so unbearable.

The room was not very presentable. When we arrived there were a couple of ratty cars sitting in the driveway. As I went to check in I noticed a couple of people sitting in the car smoke barreling out of the windows. First impressions were not pleasant. When we got to the room the weather stripping was coming off the door. We had to have help getting the tv to work. Later in the evening I noticed something on the bedside table. It was a cockroach. A cockroach! It was hard to rest thinking about that. The bed was so uncomfortable. The pillows were old and hard. I think it’s an embarrassment to the Wyndham family

Parking lot has quite a cigarette butts, and an abandoned grill with a fuel tin next to it. It's absolutely the worst and filthiest La Quinta we ever stayed. Out ot 15-20 franchise hotels we stayed, this is the most disgusting room with mold and absolute garbage.

I booked the room a hour before getting to the hotel but when I got to Midland I was called To. another city and never stayed at the hotel call to cancel and I couldn’t get my money back not good
