Baymont by Wyndham Midland Center

While the staff was nice and attentive, the property itself was not well maintained. The elevator didn’t work, the access door from the outside didn’t work, the room door didnt close easily, there were no light bulbs in the bedside lamps and cleanliness of the hallways lacked along with other areas. Breakfast was also disappointing since it ran out of food before time ended and no one was around to restock or clean the area.

The room was cleane, but toilet paper roll holder was rusty. There was mold on top edge of shower and some in corners. This should never be. They use small bottles of body wash and shampoo. Had to make multiple trips to front desk to get more ,over the 3 days we were there. The elevator was broken and so was ice machine on first floor. Had to climb steps to 3rd floor to get ice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Other than the broken elevator ,ice machine, and mold in the shower, it was a good stay.

They have given up on this hotel. I can't believe it has decent rankings. Staff was rude, elevator was not working and they didn't have rooms on the 1st floor, icemaker not working, requested a hair dryer and was told "they couldn't find it right now but there's a Walmart up the street". Terrible.

The elevator didn’t work. The first room had some strange smell and we asked to change the room to another and got new place very quickly. We like the staff, very friendly. The breakfast is fine.

The lady in the front was terrible some young girl that was always on her phone very disrespectful in our room wasn't even ready when they said it would be done by 3 PM. The elevator didn't work and when I requested a room on the bottom they gave me the second floor instead I will never stay here again.

When I showed up at 6:30pm I had to wait in line for 20 min for the desk rep to appear (sign on counter stated “back in 10 min”). My bathroom had mold in the shower, pipes exposed. A/C was extremely loud and made knocking sounds when it would shut off. The stairwells were filthy. In fact dried up diarrhea from a pet hadn’t been touched. I will never stay there again. I will say the 2nd day the front desk attendant (different person from day one) was very helpful and present the entire time.

The beds and room were clean, furniture was outdated and looked very used. Elevator was broken at the time of our stay and we were in the third floor! Break fast was meh person did not refill breakfast bar. So you best bet is to go early.

It was a very basic hotel, the rooms were nice. Chair and restroom was a bit dirty. The elevator smells bad, and breakfast was bit disappointing. I would only book it again if it’s last minute thing.

Good for truck parking, close to truck stop too. Loud all night, next door kept us up. Bathroom fan was so loud. Should have asked to be moved, that was our fault.

This hotel is unkept and dirty. The fire alarm in our bedroom was hanging by wires on the ceiling. There were visible crumbs on the floor and dust on the furniture. The bed stand covers were torn.

they put us in a second room, same. had to go back to the clerk to be put in a 3rd room. very unacceptable. then following morning for the breakfast. terrible, coffee was cold, eggs and sausage we acceptable, but the hashbrowns, or rather diced potatoes were not cooked. had milk but no cereal, and waffle machine did not work. i read prior reviews and decided to stay here anyway, big mistake. listen to the reviews. they are accurate. now if your just looking for a bed to sleep in and nothing else. probably ok. it was comfortable. beware when booking here.

To find the place was hard. The roads aren't great and neither are the drivers but that's another story. Property was sketchy, fences broken down and torn down. the roads on the property worse. Inside was okay, check in was easy. Got in the else and it was pretty damaged and taped on the inside. Arrived on my floor and my room door wasn't fully closed. Elevator buttons on the second floor did not work at all. I extended my stay, unfortunately, and the room was never cleaned just new towels added. Found a cockroach in the room. The bed and pillow sheets were dirty smell bad.I Oscar talk to staff the next day but they said they would not change them. So we left they did not want to refund us on not staying the second day.i would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Nice big lobby. Clean No cups in the room to get a drink of water. Food at breakfast was cold, microwave was broken, jelly was so hard you couldn’t cut it with a knife. Maids wouldn’t leave me alone so I could my stuff out of room when it wasn’t even time to check out!

We got there on late Friday and checked in. We got room 307 and when went to shower that night I realized water draining in tub, all lights in restroom out except one. The plug in did not work and remote on tv would not work. Advised front desk and all he did was give us another remove but we had to use both, one got volume and one to change channels. Next day we told lady up front and she was very nice and switched us to room 108. Housekeeping in hall and she apologized and helped us move into new room. As soon as we opened door it smelled like someone had just smoked in room. She went and got lady up front and then put us in room 107 or 108 and it was much better until we showered and the curtain barely covered shower so water got all over floor. We called housekeeping and they brought us 4 floor towels. We did not like there were no coffee pots in room. Entire stay was a joke. The last up front very nice but gentlemen Rusty worked Friday night very rude. He would not advise of breakfast time he told me to look on room key. Unreal. Not satisfied at all with stay.

Outside when you pull up there was construction trash right in front of the entrance of the building. Check in person not very friendly. 2nd floor lighting in the hall way were almost all out, very dark & kinda creepy. Breakfast had gravy, no biscuits. Room was comfortable enough for one night. We have stayed at several hotels in the Wyndham family, this one was disappointing.

The staff were nice but no tv that worked or phone and no smoke detector. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Elevator wasn’t working the first day and the second day they duct taped it. So not wanting to use it but I just had surgery and I still took stairs

Would you please Fix the dang elevator and if you take my used towels at least replace them.

My staff was kind and courteous at check-in. The elevator was down. I had booked the king room and was only able to get double room due to the key for the only King room didn't work. Room that I had had no reinforcement for the lock. The room was kind of a musty. Breakfast available was three yogurts two slices of white bread. A variety of condiments. Half a pot of coffee was there. I came down at 7:30 a.m. so if you want to eat, not the place to look

This hotel is not in a great area. Behind a truck stop! The weeds outside were taller than the bushes. Guys that work in the area stay here. The beds are hard as rocks. The lady that works during the week day shift was so nice. She is the reason we decided to stay. The rooms are old and need cleaning and updating. They did not even have one bar of soap when we asked for one…..

60% of the light bulbs in my room didnt work. Safety lock was broken. Elevator looked like it was on life support. Scrambled egg oatmeal for breakfast. Find somewhere else

The address listed is not correct. Elevators didn’t work. Rooms smelled disgusting. The room was not cleaned at all ! Walking to our room they just had a dog running loose in the hallways. Asked for another room and it was also disgusting. Everything is rusted down to the bath tub. Parking lot was filled with men drinking and peeing outside of the building. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE‼️

The room was clean, the hotel itself is a little worn down but the breakfast was great. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and juice were all excellent. I would stay here again. The price was good and close to a gas station and Whataburger.

As always the room, & staff were great, but the noise from the kid or kids running the halls, the crying ... did not let me sleep that hreat, i drive 8hrs to get here and will continue to do so hopefully next time will be better 🙂🙂

I don't understand how this is a 3 star rated hotel with good reviews. My stay was one of the worst stays I have ever had. The bathroom had visible mold, and the room had a strong, unpleasant odor that made the air uncomfortable to breathe and likely because of the mold, I had a headache/stuffy nose waking up. There was pieces of food left throughout the hotel, the furniture and everything was very dirty. To make matters worse, the front desk called my room at 1am, just to confirm I was in the room? For the price charged, this stay was completely unacceptable and I would not recommend booking it.

The staff was wonderful, helpful, and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. Well kept considering how rude guests break things. A few dings here and there but nothing horrible. The price is absolutely right and the accommodations are worth much more. I felt welcome and safe.

Room was clean although some maintenance was need. Smoke alarm was dangling from the ceiling, toilet tissue holder was not attached well, screws were exposed above the holder, no cups for water and only one each of the shampoo, conditioner and soap in bathroom. The bed was a bit hard but clean. The staff were extremely friendly, though.

Room had strong bad odor, wasn't as clean either. We picked this one over La Quinta but it's just as bad. Breakfast was horrible, no bowls no cereal, and pancake machine out of order. Worse part was we ran out of hot water. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The entire stay was really great but unfortunately the room service wasn’t good. I stayed there for 2 weeks and my bed was only made once. It was very unfortunate but the hotel was very nice and taken care of.

owner parks in unloading zone, guests loose that convenience. evening staff is not professional or courteous. Room showers are molding, water runs everywhere, insufficiently build pan and no retaining items, so water gets everywhere. Breakfast is always good.

Really solid stay overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. A couple small things could be improved, but I’d definitely stay here again.

The room was clean but felt like it definitely needed some maintenance. The guy at check in was asleep at the front desk and appeared dirty and not appropriate for the job.

( good thing I bring my own.) The elevator was dirty and the 3rd floor button was broken and taped with paper tape. More tape to hold down a sign in the elevator… The sink in my room was clogged up. The bed linen smelled like cigarettes but appeared laundered, I guess? Also the dirty linen bags are cheap; dollar tree cheap.. Never staying there ever again.

We traveled with kids , the hotel was dusty , ripped bed skirts , we had baby flies in the bathroom the a/c leeks water and they put a towel under ( full of rust) just to hold it we stayed for 3 days and no one showed up to clean our room. We even saw a homeless guy walking thru the back door , definitely won't come back ! Specially if you have kids.

My room had a clog in the shower that was not fixed. But I was moved rooms eventually. All in all the rooms were not dirty or had any bugs. That’s a relief, but it was dated and honestly didn’t give a safe vibe. Very affordable though.

I contacted Hotels.com, and after they called the property, we learned what actually happened: the hotel **confirmed the room at 4:30 PM and then CANCELLED it at 5:35 PM the same day**. And no one bothered to call us. Instead, they sent an email that went straight to junk. They overbooked, canceled the reservation *after* confirming it, and provided zero help in finding another Wyndham location. After three unanswered calls to the owner, I’m warning others: **do NOT stay here**. It’s simply not worth the hassle.

Clean, quiet and comfortable room.Had a problem with the fridge and it got fixed right away. The staff was above and beyond nice! I would definately recomend it if you are traveling for work. There are nocer but for the price its the best.

Door lock was broken/missing. Table was wobbly and felt like it could fall over at anytime. Bathroom vent was missing the cover and full of dust.

I reserved a handicap accessible room, I called to let them know I would be a late arrival, was told no problem. Upon arrival, the guy working said "I have bad news, we don't have a handicap accessible room." I was upset, but said, I would make due because it was 1 night. Then he said "more bad news, the elevator is broken"...The person in the wheelchair can't get out and use the stairs, so he said "well I can refund you and you can check the other hotel in the area." Totally UNEXCEPTIONABLE!!!
