Quality Inn Mesquite - Dallas East

The rooms were not that great, floor was lifted with the carpet peeling on the corners. The breakfast is literally waffles and cereal only. The coffee machines pours cold coffee and the microwave doesn’t work. Staff is not very helpful, we needed an extra blankets and was told at 10pm they are locked with house keeping and there was no way to get a blanket that late. The pool was the only thing my kids and I enjoyed since it was indoors.

Facility is not secure. Anyone can come in side doors as they don't lock. Staff stated that Choice Corp would not allow them to lock them.

That said, the continental breakfast was fresh and the price was very inexpensive. Depending on your needs, this may or may not be a score.

The room and property were clean. Breakfast items were very lean (no much to choose from). My only problem was the air conditioner unit. It was very loud and kept turning on and off too often. The indoor pool area was great!

The check-in staff was a bit unfriendly. They didn’t greet or smile, which was disappointing since I was eager to find a place to rest. I was given room 222, but when I arrived, the door was wide open, and there were no sheets on the bed. I went back downstairs and informed the clerk, who offered me room 133. I wasn’t too upset because I understand that things happen, but the clerk’s demeanor was unfriendly. He didn’t provide me with a booklet or write down my room number, so I had to verify with him which room he had said. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I’m not sure if I’ll return.

Our bathroom door didnt close all the way. Some kind of wierd water damage on the bathroom door. The door to the room didnt feel quite secure; the latch was very loose. Small gap at the bottom of door also.

Only thing was the hot tub doesn't work. But very friendly staff. And nice clean place.

There was makeup on the sheets the coffee machine didn’t have coffee and the worker would not make coffee at 7:00 am my key stopped working house keeping came twice before check out and waited outside the room until check out at 11:00am

I would stay in my car if I ever had to choose to stay here again. The room had roaches, the hot tub was "out of order", the elevators didn't work and had just had knee surgery so couldn't get to the room they tried to put us in. THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY RUDE! I wouldn't recommend staying here

Checkin was ok. The pictures on the site are altered and have either the flash on or more lights added to the room. Apparently requesting a Double wide KING bedroom will reserve you two rooms. Why would I want two rooms if I’m the only tenant? Got my room and paid the ridiculous $100 reservation fee. Went in room first thing room smells like damp mildew. Turned on tv and check air conditioner. Tv looked like someone placed a magnet on tv so went back to the front and because I had the other room I wasn’t stuck with the foul smelling room. Just because you throw modern paint on the wall over mildew doesn’t make the hotel better. Missed the breakfast because it stops at 9:30 am. The cost is okay but will not be returning to this location.

"CRIMINAL ACTIVITY/CYBER CRIMES" We are very disappointted,after discovering the room telephone did not operate,we plugged a business mobile phone into the USB PORT provided on the wall inside the room and awake the following morning to find that the phone had been HACKED by the hotel management master computer system,locked my screen and changed my information !

Unfortunately this hotel was a mess, the room smelled, the doors didn't close well you had to basically slam them to close, there was a chirping smoke detector, the side entry door didn't lock so anyone could enter the hotel outside of the front entry way. The staff was decent but rarely at the front desk. The pool looked cloudy so didn't get to enjoy that and the continental breakfast was not the best. All in all you get what you pay for when you're trying to save a little money. Cost of the room was reasonable.

Rooms are a little dated. Microwave missing, Comforters, room fixtures, the chase & sheets are dated. A nice Valspar paint scheme on the walls would take this up a star. Could be a nice Hotel if owners would spend a little money

When I rented the room, I rented the standard king room. The pictures showed a jacuzzi in the room. I chose that one because we went to help our granddaughter to move. I thought when we got done for the day it would be nice to get in the jacuzzi and relax. I paid the higher price for it. The manager on duty said no that I would have to pay 135.00 more. I said no I would not I would just take the room. I asked about the hot tub and the manager said oh it was not working. They need to update their pictures of the room and, or post that the hotel is going through a renovation. Whoever did their renovation was a sloppy job. I will not stay there again. I will not trust pictures again. I will simply call the hotel directly. I have been using Hotel. Com for a while now and I am disappointed with this trip. They did not have hot breakfast they used to have a good hot breakfast. They advertised a breakfast. The last time I looked they changed it to continental breakfast.I am diabetic I would have never chose a hotel that only had sugary cereal and waffles. They didn’t even have decaf coffee. They didn’t have any kind of juice. Cleanliness was kind of maybe ok.

Love the remodel. Hot tub could be warmer and bathroom plug did not work for my hair tool. But it was quiet and clean and the staff were very nice.

My key card kept magically losing its program. I went to the front desk about 6 or 7 times. It was ridiculous. Breakfast was only the waffle & 2 types of cereals & coffee. Nothing more. The indoor pool was under construction. Couldn’t even use it.

Trash all over halls, missing lamp shade, deposit was extremely high. Customer service at front desk had something more important to do, felt rushed. This was a 3 star hotel, I would give them 1 star.

The place needs an update . Had a problem entering the room with all the keys they provided . It kept not working. Took about 40min til I got a key that worked. The place screams 90s with the dull color. A lot of out of character people that checked in . The room next to me was a guy just staring at me while I would attempt the keys cards that didn’t work. The staff was friendly. No issues there. The room was clean . Just needs an update. There was a dodge charger with tinted windows parked in reverse with lights on . Just sitting in there car. Was really odd. Breakfast sucked. Idk what that other review was talking about. I came at 7:20. No one was there except an older lady. No hot foods at all except the waffle maker. The had cheap tiny muffins in a package. They had cereal but I couldn’t find the milk. Also had great value brand yogurt. Was disappointed they didn’t have eggs or bacon. It Wasn’t a bad stay . Just lots of creepy interactions. And terrible breakfast.

The hotel is going through renovations which is good. Rooms are comfortable but the only issue I had is aunts in the restroom.

Changed rooms, 1st room musty smell. They are doing remodeling very cheap. No water in breakfast area. Breakfast gas minimal selection of two sugar cereals, waffles, White bread snd apple. No tea, no orange juice, no oatmeal, no whole grain bread. Cheap coffee.

There were no eggs or meat given at breakfast. The chairs were super old and peeling. The furniture in the room was super old, deteriorating and out dated.

Building being renovated, elevator spelled like urine, hot breakfast consisted of one waffle maker and dry cereal. Lastly the plumbing was hooked up backwards. Shower control says cold but dispenses hot water and the hot side dispenses cold. Only reasonable thing about this place was the price.

The room was clean and comfortable, older hotel, could use some maintenance/updating but everything was functional. Room was a bit musty but that’s to be expected with an older building. Would stay again with no hesitation.

The elevator was inoperable, the spa tub was filthy, had to change rooms tv didn't work. Was offered a first floor room because elevator was inoperable, but at a $100 3 night increase. Why can't these things be found out B4 a reservation, manager didn't care, aloof.

Bedroom was worn but clean. Common areas needed vacuuming and cleaning. The breakfast was very limited. Elevator was out of order and looked like it had been. Non ADA compliant.

It was nice. Very quiet. The rooms could be updated as the stuff in the rooms are quite old My room needed to be repainted and the bed was almost due for a new mattress as it was caving in a little but other than that it was nice. The breakfast was great as well. Loved the Texas state shaped waffles :)

Mold in the bathroom ceiling that they tried to hide with paint.

I liked the price in comparison to others. The room needs to be thoroughly cleaned, not jut bed made and towels. Gross dirt and grime on pictures on the wall and such. Burned places in bathtub and a showerhead that barely sprays any water is upsetting.

Walking in the front door there was an overwhelming smell of pot. Otherwise the staff were friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable, and I didn't hear a peep all night long. Definitely not my first choice but will be a good backup plan.

First impression was not great not horrible either. First room did not have a working bathtub so we moved. Next room, took a little while to figure out the hot water was backwards. Air wasn't great the first night but after we sent in a work request, it was fixed by the next night. To go breakfast was nice especially since we left so early each am. Very quiet atmosphere, rooms were clean, and cleaned daily. Staff was slow but friendly. Overall good experience for the price and will book again.

The lady at check in was nice, however after I got in my room, I went down to report the toilet would not stop running, she was on her phone and said ok Ill send someone up, NO ONE Ever showed up, then I was going to open up the Couch bed for my daughter only to open it and a fake nail fell our along with some trash, then the sheet was absolutely disgusting. Very Very dissapointed in our stay.

Manager chargers a $100 deposit for using 3rd party websites. thats what the say the first night. then when u check out and ask for you $100 DEPOSIT BACK THEY WILL TELL U NO CAUSE THE TOWELS WERE DIRTY. SORRY MY 1 YEAR OLD SPILLED KOOLAID ON THE FLOOR AND I CLEANED IT UP

Check in was quick . Staff wasn’t overly friendly but wasn’t rude - just efficient. Room was clean and smelled fine . We were given a handicap room that we didn’t request but it was fine . Overall a decent place to stay for the price . Didn’t feel unsafe at all .

The location and price were reasonable...the pillows were half the size of normal pillows...I noticed this has become the norm for several hotels...just bring your own pillows! Nice rooms and quiet location.
