La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas Mesquite

One ice machine and one vending machine for three floors. Exterior keypad for side entrance was broken. I got a text to welcome me that said, "If you have any questions, respond here." I did, but got no answer for my entire 2 days stay. It was a clean, comfortable room. No bugs. Nice towels, but the management clearly wanted to save every nickel on operations. I also had to check out with a web link the final day. This isn't horrible, but it isn't necessary these days. If I had missed the text, you bet I would have been charged more days. If you just want to lay your head down, it's fine, but I wouldn't recommend families or anyone who wants anything beyond the most basic hotel functions.

Tv service was difficult to figure out and no regular network shows. No instructions or tv guide were located in the room. Room was clean. There was a man passed out on the ground by his truck in parking lot. Informed front desk and the lady did not appear to understand. I am not sure she called 911, but he was gone later

Breakfast was powdered eggs, waffles, and sausage links... Every day. Pool was out of service the entire stay. It was a place to sleep

Staff friendly. Room was ok but could’ve been better. Safety lock was broken and the door was damaged from what looked like a dog was trying to get out. Breakfast was awful.

Screaming children late at night and early morning in the room next to us and in the hallways. Cleaning staff complaining in the hallway about having to wait for people to check out.

Room was clean but the overwhelming smell of some sort of fragrance was almost hard to bear. The breakfast bar was almost non-existent. Not much of a variety to choose from. There were zero snacks in the lobby that you could purchase to take back up to your room. The staff was okay. Would I stay there again, probably not.

I think that the staff and the price made up for the building needing some maintenance. Bigger Breakfast selection and new ac units in the rooms along with some basic upkeep.

The room was dirty, the walls were dirty, there were stains on the couch in the suite! There were cracks all over the walls and when I went to try to change rooms he told me to have a seat while he ate dinner! When he came back I canceled my reservations! I drove 6hrs to be treated like that and that was unacceptable!

For the price per night actually was a really quiet and clean experience

The front desk at check-in was great. Good sense of humor. Glass door on the shower wouldn’t stay closed and the shower insert was cracked.

I was extremely pleased with the assistance from the front desk staff upon check-in. On a different note I reported an electrical problem with a floor lamp to the Cleaning staff while she was cleaning our room to prepare for the second day of our stay. This issue was not important to me, but I didn’t notice that it was not repaired during the second day of our stay. Overall, I was very pleased with our accommodations.

It appeared the hotel was going through a remodel. Facility was not well maintained. Staff were nice and helpful.

Receptionist lady at front desk was not a people person, pool area saw female underwear throwing so disgusting. Next door occupant where arguing and fitting, screaming my children got so scared.

Clean room nice staff

Everything was clean and quiet. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly. My only complaint is that no one answers the phone at the desk.

I also went down to the front desk to report the issue and requested either a room change or a refund. Unfortunately, I did not receive a definite response and was left with no choice but to return to my room and endure the noise.

Microwave was broken but the front staff let me use their microwave. Everything else was fine.

It was nice. Wish they hadn’t deactivated our keys so early though. My kids wanted to swim before checkout.

Bed was very uncomfortable. Sausage was cold. Cook spoke very limited English

The room door had a huge crack in it where I could see the hallway, the bathroom door knob kept falling off, smelled like mold, and the bed was extremely hard. All in all it felt unclean and unsafe for me and my daughter.

With the hotel being right off the hwy it gave easy access to move around, there’s also a Walmart across the street for those forgotten items. The WiFi was easy to connect & I had two devices connected during the duration of my stay with no issues. The continental breakfast was a nice free meal to get the day start, with a mall & tons of restaurants all with-in a 10min drive there’s plenty of food options. The rates were also easy on the pockets to give a last minute spot to sleep/shower or just keep from couch crashing.

The room was clean there were stains on the couch and neither remote worked for either tvs. We went to get new batteries and still nothing. Housekeeping was friendly. We left our room clean with very little trash and no mess at all. Its been 2 weeks and still havent received my deposit back....im coming back in May and my deposit is the only reason we arent booking our stay here again!.

The heater in my room didn’t work properly, other tenants were loud and slamming doors. However, everything looked clean and smelled good.

HORRRIBLE!!!! Smoke alarm busted off wall, peeling paint, gap in the door so big your finger fits through, door barely locks. Gross. Hot. Stinks.

I booked this hotel at short notice so arrived about 4:30pm. There was cold, 11am coffee in the lobby... a baby that cried for hours across the hall from me... and I did not sleep well because the a/c vent in the my room made rattling noises. I totally understand the hotel is under renovation but they need to INFORM THEIR CUSTOMERS! This is my first time I was not happy with my stay and very disappointed that their breakfast hours start at 7am everyday... even on a Sunday!

This was an overnight stay purely for convenience of location and the first time I have ever stayed at a La Quinta Inn, however the conditions of the hotel were less than desirable. Several fixtures in the room were loose or broken, loud music from rooms in the hall and elevator panels were loose and no certificate of inspection was posted inside the elevator.

Smoke alarm detector noise all night

The room was dirty especially around the couch. There was trash everywhere outside the facility. There was unfinished construction to remove the jacuzzi. We had a family suite but no sheets or pillows for our two boys were provided. Unlike the other La Quinta's I have stayed in in the past.

First room key didnt work. Second key still didnt work front desk clerk followed to room. Two people exited room and ran out side door. They then asigned us another room. Next evening some stanged was walking up and down the gall beating on doors asking for someone. The wife was scared shitless. The next day after attending a funeral my third key stopped working.

I did like we had to ask for towels more then once , there was closet with no rod to hang clothes. The breakfast was ok the coffee was cold.

The rooms were not clean and breakfast was limited options. Internet did not work on one of the nights and free tv channels were limited.

Staff was very friendly. The Hotel is in a great area. The hotel is going through some renovations so the gym was not available. The pool was good just freezing so needs a lil work to regulate the water temperature. But other than that it was great.

It was horrible. We found 6 cockroaches in our room and didn’t stay.

when we pulled up people were out front getting high. We got to our room and the entire floor smelled like Marijuana. People were partying until all hours of the night.

Elevator wasnt working. We went to the pool, not even sure if it was opened or not because they had the lights off and there was construction going. Our restroom door had a crack as if someone threw or tried punching a hole. It reminded my husband of a Motel 6 stay we had once (my mistake never again) But overall i guess it was okay.

The property was walkable and convenient to Walmart, local restaurants/stores like Wendy’s, Waffle House, McDonald’s, Dennys, and a Taco restaurant. When I arrived, there was plastic hanging from the ceiling due to onsite renovations which hid the check in area. You literally had to go behind the plastic to check in at the snap check in desk. I was granted early check in for a fee and had no issues getting the room I reserved. The room was decent but I didn’t have a blow dryer in the bathroom which I always check for being that hotels usually get cold and as an anemic I use the blowers as a heater. My phone didn’t work the whole stay due to the renovations and I had to go down stairs for every request needed which was super inconvenient for me a person with disabilities. The room says it sleeps 5 and doesn’t come with extra blankets so again I had to go back downstairs to request one and was told I had to wait until after 4pm when housekeeping was done with all the rooms. Hair was hanging from my room curtains from previous stay. They only provided 1 tiny bar of Dove soap and I mean tiny but atleast it’s Dove 1 tiny bottle of shampoo, conditioner, 1 makeup remover wipe, and 1 body wash which wasn’t enough for my party and stay so again I had to go downstairs. The closets (2) in the room were tiny and didn’t have no hanging option (hang bar or hangers) just a stained ironing board and iron which I didn’t use. The king size suites bedroom door did not close due to the layout.

The property is dealing with renovations however house keeping barely cleaned or changed room bedding halls and elevator were dirty and unkept building staff not personable or friendly . Pool is small and not cleaned daily AT ALL

My oldest boys had their own room and walked to Denny's one night. I was never worried about their safety nor were they. All in all I'd stay here again if needed but they should inform guest before arrival they are under construction. Some people may have problems with it.

The stay was a complete disappointment! It was the start of our family vacation and falsely advertised. The pool was not heated more like an ice bath, gym under construction this was our stop after a 4 1/2 hour drive and was not worth it! A week after my stay my deposit has not been returned. The room was clean to the eye but quickly noticed fake fingernails, crayons and food crumbs under sofa cushions. Stains all over sofa cushions. Would not recommend and will never use again.
